I recently returned from Germany with the military and was fortunate enough to buy my dream car, a BMW. A bit of background is important to understand why I wrote this review on google, which I seldom do. In Germany, if you are a U.S. service member, BMW gives you a brochure to ship your vehicle at the conclusion of your orders to Germany and all you have to pay is about 50 euros. This is done to entice U.S. service members to buy a new BMW.I turned in my vehicle on Aug 1 for shipment but it has taken lot longer to ship than I expected. While in Germany, the BMW dealership affords those individuals a rental car for a truly reasonable price until their vehicle is ready for pickup. I am in the military and my wife also works. I have two children that need to go to school, daycare and appointments and I desperately need a second vehicle. Since my vehicle is not here yet and renting one for the month would cost be close to $900, I called my nearest BMW dealership and see if they offered a rental program similar to that of the BMW dealership in Germany, or if there was anything they could do to help me. I called twice and have spoken to two different people who have assured me that someone would call me back within “a few hours”. I have yet to hear anything back from them. I am absolutely aware that they may not have the rental option here in the U.S., however, a callback, which may take 30 seconds, and tells me they do not have the program and that they cannot help me, would have been the professional thing to do.When I bought the vehicle in Germany, the dealership there was especially open, resourceful, professional and pleasant. I thought buying a BMW would allow me to have a certain level of customer service I may not get from buying an economy car. However, my experience with this dealership has proven to be less than fair.

Perfect example of Good gone Bad! Although I purchased my BMW 528i from Sterling many years ago, I started to service my car here as I was working in Alexandria. They were very nice and their charges were quite reasonable. I once even received a $300 refund few months after I replaced the tires as the bill seemed high. But once my car aged for 10 years, they do not even offer me a loaner car. I showed them my auto insurance covering $100k per their published requirements to get a loaner, but they cited stiffer insurance terms to avail that. My car looks good and runs good, their estimate for all the needed repairs they discovered was north of $7500 when I took it just for an oil change. I mean you want to do business with me for thousands and thousands of dollars but you are not ready to give me a loaner? That was it. I thought I would never call them again but I had to, as the new garage I went to could not find the wheel lock key. I called the Alexandria BMW parts department and explained that they are the only dealer where I changed my tires and they should know its whereabouts, but the salesman from the other end said: You want to buy the key, yes or no? Sad to see the service of my favorite dealer has landed a dumper.

I was satisfied with the service to my vehicle and the attitude of the service representative who who checked me in, explained to me what would be happening to my car, gave me an estimated cost, and kept me posted on the progress. This would have been a 5 star visit except for a few things I observed and would recommend changes. First us the procedure for customers checking in for car service. When pulling up to the facility I noticed 3 different lines but was unsure which one to go to. I think one had a sign that indicated it was for oil changes. My recommendation would be to make the lanes clear with sinage and markings on the pavement. I recommend you designate a person who greets each person when they arrive within the first 5 minutes of them arriving. This did not happen when I arrived. I had to find a question someone who had no clue about what I wanted and had to get someone else to assist. I applaud your business for having indoor and outdoor waiting areas. This gives people an option especially if they have wait a few hours like in my case 7 hours. I recommend you bring back the coffee to the waiting area. Perhaps find a sustainable solution in which one of your employees makes and hands the customer the cup of coffee this reducing the customers touching the machine or the supplies. I am not complaining rather simple making so recommendations that would enhance the customers experience while they wait for their car to be serviced.

One star is generous.Coming here to get a air leak in the tire fixed. Initially was told the car didn’t have coverage on the tires even though there is. The service provider didn’t even try to look for the coverage in his system, or even offer to fix the issue and resolve the money situation at a later time.With this, I left and pulled out the contracts and documentation of coverage on the tire. I was told my the same gentleman, Aaron, that the soonest we could get in was the following Monday @ 7am. I called back, and John got us in the next day to get the issue resolved (the issue wasn’t resolved). We waited around for 5 hours Wednesday morning & we needed to replace the tire, they said they patched up the leak (which didn’t work) and the soonest we could get in was Friday. Friday, no one ensured us the tire would arrive on time, until 4:30pm Friday asking us to come in & that they would have us out in 20-30 minutes. Low and behold it’s been an hour and still have no update on the car/tire. During check out, John never voiced the coverage to his associate, where he had us paying $700+ for coverage we already had but the associate had no idea of the coverage.Throughout the week I requested to talk to the Service Manager, Todd, and never received one call back from him. (Todd if you’re reading this, I’m still waiting on a call back)The place is a mess through and throughAnd not to mention, the car salesmen inside while we were waiting had some lovely mysognistic opinions and comments he loud and proudly voiced.

I took the car 2020 745E with only 1245 miles for service last Sunday it was suppose to be ready on Tuesday and when I called on Tuesday they said the car had some recalls and we put it in line and let you know. Today is Saturday have not heard from anyone and when I called did not get any straight answer as to when the car is ready for pick up.When I asked for to speak with service manager they gave me a none working number. I am very unhappy with them and I was happy when I bought the car, but if I get this type of service never again!!!

Unfortunately and unexpectedly, I had to buy a car before I wanted, but thanks to Karen Cruz for helping me get the car I wanted and then some. This is my second BMW, both from this dealership. Karen, I appreciate your efforts and enjoyed working with you.My only suggestion to the dealership/owner is to provide a means for electronic payments to put holds on car; its 2021! I missed out on my first choice because I refused to write down and email my CC #; too risky for me.

I saw a car i was interested in on this dealerships website, I emailed the sales and received a email back stating that the car was still available in the shop and was ready to be viewed. I drove 1 hour 35 minutes in traffic to the dealership to find out that the car was not even at the shop after they had sent me an email 25 minutes prior to me leaving my house. this is one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. will never go back to this dealership.

I took my car in for it’s first service on 10/30/21. The Service Advisor Eun Shin was very rude and disrespectful. He argued that my issues were not covered under “new car warranty” and later texted me that my issues were indeed covered. I told him that this was my first BMW and had never been treated like this when I owned a Mercedes. He told me that I was an angry woman and said that it was too early for him. He said “there’s a Mercedes dealership down the street. And I took his suggestion and walked down the street and bought a brand new E450. He doesn’t know that he actually should work for Mercedes because he sold me a Mercedes! I love my BMW and will definitely find another dealership for my future service needs

Not too particularly fond of this dealership. I normally give a place a few chances and today did it for me.I came in 10 min early (11:50) for my 12 am appointment and and the guy told me to give him a second and he would get me checked in I waited and waiting and finally I found another rep to ask if someone was going to check me in because people that pulled up after me was getting checked in. When I finally got checked in for only a state inspection and emissions, I was told they couldn’t.take me because they reached capacity for waiting customers. Mind you, I had an appointment as well as one of the associates that checked a customer in right before me for the same service was told her car would be ready in 1.5 hours because it was just an inspection and emissions. I didn’t want to be rude to the associate, but I told him I wasn’t happy that my appointment wasn’t going to be honored and it was unacceptable. When I brought of the other customer who was told her car would only take 1.5 hours he told me that his colleague gave bad and false information. At this point I asked to speak to a manager the Ask him if I was getting anything else besides an inspection and emissions and he told him yes and oil change as well which was not what I came for at all. I told him no and what I was there for. The manager then told him to and assign me a person to service just what I asked.This is my third time coming here and all three times I’ve had issues with customer service and their service period. I will not be back to this dealership today was the third strike.

I sure am glad a dealership just down the road was so demanding and marking up advertised prices because I discovered BMW in Alexandria. I just picked up my new X5 and the entire experience was wonderful. The prices were as advertised, No $5,000 or more mark up over the sticker price.The salesperson who worked to find my perfect car was Abed Abutaa, a US Military Veteran. Abed is a very good salesman and you will be happy working with him, I was.

I went to the dealership last week, aware that I needed a new car battery. It was late afternoon when I arrived and I needed a jump prior to getting to the dealership. The service advisor gave me an estimate of 2 hours waiting and a cost of $500 for 1.5 hours of labor. He also stated a diagnostic ($200) would be performed despite telling him the reason I came in. He assured me the fee would be waived if I was getting service too. I reluctantly agreed since it was getting to be the end of business hours. It turned out I was very misled.The advisor told me the cost was actually $1k and the part had to be shipped so it would be a week before I got my car back! The price breakdown was a total ripoff: part $257, labor $623, shop charges $105!! I requested a discount as this was nearly double the cost I was told initially and the advisor claimed he could only offer $100 off. I was literally stuck with that decision after 5PM in the evening.The advisor gave no update the following day, so I called and reached out to the manager Thomas who claims he waived the diagnostic fee, which wasnt included in the first place, to give me a discount and a total of $725. A week later I picked up the vehicle and there was notifications that service was needed and I was not informed of this. I expressed to the manager at that time, Steve, that my time had been wasted if additional service was needed and I wasnt notified--he responded by saying the techs only address the issue the car was brought in for. Poor customer service.And...what a coincidence the fee for the service notifications was $325! One way or another trying to get $1k out of me. I left and I do not recommend!!

This has got to the one of the worse dealerships in America. The staff knows nothing about customer service, I’m not asking for the world - just basic interaction. I have left over 2 dozen request for a “Senior Manager” to include the newly appointment GM for a moment to discuss the treatment my wife and I experienced while have our car newly purchased care repaired. From the sales manager to the interaction of the service director to the incompetence of the service advisor. The simply do not care once they have your money - go else where - BMW of Alexandra and the Rosenthal Auto Group only cares about the bottom line and our money is the only thing that they want and care about

Future customers,Strongly suggest you look at other branches prior to scheduling appointment at this location, to avoid a grumpy day. I called and asked when I could bring my car in, was told Sunday because they are slow. Got to dealership Sunday, told they are slammed and would have to make an appointment. Also told they don’t have enough loaners, so would have to “show up that day and see if there’s one available”. I showed up the night before my appointment and was asked several times who my “advisor was”, no idea what this means. Was ignored by the girl at the front desk who casually flirted with several coworkers before asking if she could help. She told me there were no loaners, I could try to reschedule another day and “show up that day to see if they had loaner cars, but no guarantees that day either”.At this point I was pretty frustrated and asked if all the dealerships function this way, as this was the first BMW dealership I’ve experienced such poor service/customer experience… she replied “I don’t know you’d have to call them”.Happy to report I now have an appointment at the Fairfax BMW where they provide loaners and were very polite and eager to help on the phone.Recommend not buying vehicles or receiving service at this location. Hope this helps someone avoid a grumpy day! ☀️☀️

Always a positive experience at BMW Alexandria. Jhoonho is one of the best service advisers there. Very hard working, gets to the bottom of things, and takes the time to make sure that your issues are addressed and resolved. He can throw down some jokes too, which is an added bonus. Will definitely be returning and asking for Jhoonho if there are any other issues that need to be looked into.

The worst BMW dealership i’ve been to. I took my X6 in for service because my windshield whispers stopped working. The service advisor told me it would be $1200 to fix and would take about 3 days. I gave him the green light to perform the service and went to get a loaner. The loaner they gave me had a leak in the tire that went completely flat everyday. Not to mention the 3 day repair ended up taking 31 days. That’s right they had my car for a full month. When I finally got the call that it was ready, I get to the cashier and the bill is $2600! I asked that was the reason for the price change and they stated that was the original quote. This dealership does NOT uphold the BMW brand at all. Fairfax or Tyson’s Corner are better alternatives.

This place is always over booked! One day they kept my car for four hours and it still was finished, for just an oil change!! So they ended up rescheduling me for another day! Book my appt for another oil change a couple months later and they said they aren’t able to finish my car in the same day even tho I had an appointment and they didn’t have loaners or rentals 🤦🏽‍♀️. Horrible service! Ended up going to BMW Fairfax and my car was done in an hour as promised! They also washed and vacuumed my car in that time! Worth the extra drive to Fairfax simply for the service!

Ive owned a BMW for 10 years. The experience at this dealer was the worst I have had. My car broke down near Alexandria and I had it towed here. After three days in the shop I get a call from a service agent saying that repairs will be about $6000. He then emails an estimate not to me, but to my sister who hasnt gone there in over 10 years. The estimate is for $2000. I call to try to figure out what is going on and the service agent tells me that the estimate was not ready to be sent. He then sends me an estimate that is identical to the one he sent my sister except the price tag is over $6000. I lose trust in them and arrange to have my car towed somewhere else. The night before the towing company is to show up I send a message making sure the care is ready for towing and get e-mail confirmation that it is ready to go. No invoice was sent to me and email confirmation was provided that the car was ready to be towed. When the towing company arrives to take the car they refuse to release it because of a $200 dollar invoice which I never received despite the email confirmation that the car was ready the day prior (this was a different service agent who was extremely snarky on the phone). I payed the invoice that I did not know existed until that moment and arranged for another tow truck to come and pick up the car.The second car shop I took the car to replaced parts completely different from what the dealer recommended be replaced and while it was a pricy repair, it was significantly cheaper than what the dealer had estimated. None of the parts the dealer had recommended replacing ultimately needed replaced - it turned out to be a different issue.Would strongly recommend against taking your car here under any circumstances.

Got in “line” (in quotations because it was completely disorganized and no one had any idea what was going on) promptly at 10:00am…and I am still waiting for someone to check me in. It’s now 10:45am. I purchased a car from BMW of Alexandria on July 1st, 2021. When I met with the Finance manager the paperwork did not match the offer sheet I received. Wow, a dealership that changed the terms without informing the buyer.They added a $500 charge for license plates.When I protested they told me that it was just an estimate and that they would only charge me the actual cost of the plates. I escalated to the General Manager who personally promised me that I would get a check for the difference.I have called and left multiple messages with multiple people and not a single person had the courtesy of returning my call.I have not received my check.I feel like they lied and had no intentions of paying me. Its not surprising that this dealership is one of the lowest rated on Google.

Technicians and mechanics are great. Very professional and timely. Salespeople not so much. Always felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience. Soured the BMW experience in my mind. I purchased my new car from a different manufacturer, in large part due to the bad experiences I had at this dealership.

My review of bmw Alexandria:Never go there, never buy a car from them(I didn’t but took it to be serviced)This has been, by far, one of the worst experiences of my life. I will not be returning. If I could give 0 stars I would.Thursday I took the car in to have the back gate and water leak in front right looked at.Diagnostics cost $500. That’s all I asked them to look at. I was told they had to keep the car for 24 hours. I got no calls or updates for the car. I had to hassle them and call to find out any information. On top of that I had to go back and forth between them, the warranty company, and the original dealership.I sat and waited for a loaner for over 2 HOURS.The loaner car was not even close to the same size as my car and it was FILTHY. Inside and out. Photos attachedWhen I finally started getting answers, they told me that 5 other things were wrong with the car. Plus my diagnostic price had gone up almost $200.Even though I never asked them to look at anything else.Sunroof drain apparently required the seat and carpet taken out to be dried, then retested- $1454.63Rear trunk shocks- $1842.91Gasket, oil filter housing- replace - $1649.90Engine oil pan - $3881.60Mounts front thrust strut- replace - $1012.23Align suspension- $199.95.Plus tax and shop charges.For a Grand Total of - $10,306.Their prices are so jacked up the extended warranty company wasn’t even willing to pay half.We then did some internet browsing only to find out labor is $180/hourWhen I called to talk to them they got extremely nasty with us. Karina Gonzalez, our service advisor, was basically screaming at me when I told her I’d take the car to another place to get the repairs done. They tried to make me wait through the weekend to pick up the car because “it wasn’t put back together” and the technician “was out for the weekend”Around 6pm We talked to the service manager, Thomas I think his name was, with an expectation to have a call returned. He never returned the call.Around 8pm Karina called me (even though she was supposed to be off work at 5, I had gotten 3 calls from her after she was supposed to be done, how funny)She was screaming at me, demanding for me to come pick up the car by 9 pm. Even though we were told we had to wait until Monday because the technician was done for the day/weekend and that no one else can work on the car. How magical, must have used their fairy dust or unicorn farts.When I got the car back, the tire pressure in the front 2 tires was low- even though it wasn’t before I took it in, they didn’t clean the car, gave it back to me filthy. Water spots from the water test, dirt marks in the passenger side floor and mat.I took the car to the original dealer I got it from and handed them the estimate that I had refused from bmw. They took the car to be looked at. They checked all points the bmw dealer noted. Not a damn thing was wrong with the car other than the two things I asked them to look at. It was all a huge lie, trying to screw me out of every penny. Not only did I NOT WAIT for 2 HOURS, they flushed the sunroof drain right there, and are replacing the trunk shocks at no cost.

This was by far the most relaxed and enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. Alp was my salesman and was incredibly helpful finding me the car I wanted. Even after I told him exactly what I wanted he refused to ask me to go over msrp on my 2021 M2 Comp. If you know M2 Competitions at the time of writing this it is normal for dealers to ask 5-8k over book and it was their last allocation! Phenomenal experience! I cant praise this place enough.

This dealership has no experience whatsoever in out of state purchases. The salesman Andrii became extremely unprofessional as soon as the sale was made. The finance manager Jeremy was no better; his lack of knowledge regarding the out of state registration process caused major delays and additional expenses. I had to book a last minute flight which had me pay premium for my ticket. I still have not received my MA inspection reimbursement which I had to pay out of pocket. I can’t express how bad this experience was. I will never consider this dealership again and will share this mediocre experience with all my surroundings.Update 8-15-21: even after i provided my email to discuss this, I still have no answers or any attempt to rectify this. Stay away from this dealership

Took car in for a broken tail light. They told me i had a broken sway bar and recommended i get BOTH replaced. Less than two years ago I had a broken sway bar and got BOTH replaced so they are telling me the new ones they put on then are both bad? Unethical service advisor and service manager Fritz. I had been a customer since 2017. Not any longer. You expect a certain level of quality and service as a BMW owner however if you want to be treated as such and not a $, then drive to BMW of Fairfax instead or another repair shop.

Made an appointment for service a week ahead and was told to arrive at 7 am to have the best chance for a loaner car on a first come basis. Arrived at 6:45 and waited about 30 minutes for my service advisor. Was told there were no loaner cars at all that day even though I watched other people get loaner cars. Asked if the parts were in stock to possibly correct error codes my ODBC device read out. Was told the service tech has to determine if parts are needed and my question was not answered. My adviser left to do paperwork. While waiting I walked over to parts to see if they had the two parts I would probably need. One was not in stock with a 2 day minimum delivery time. I requested to delay the repair until the likely needed part was ordered. Was told that was against dealer policy. Rather than likely face 2 or more days of Uber rides I declined the warranty repair service and kept my car. Called another local dealer in Fairfax and was able to schedule an appointment with a loaner car offered and reserved. Was also able to get a mid morning appointment at the other dealer to avoid the Black Friday craziness type of service rush. This morning I felt stranded by BMW of Arlington with no transportation for 3 or more days. Was so happy we have dealer choices here and that I could find a dealer nearby that understands the importance of having transportation when you surrender your car for correcting warranty issues. This morning at BMW of Alexandria was a waste of over an hour of time having to arrive before 7 am for the loaner car lottery plus an additional hour of time to get 10 minutes of attention from a dealer that doesn’t care about customer realities of transportation needs.

Worst service ever. My wife is 39 weeks pregnantthey promised a loaner car while we got our air conditioning fixed. I drove down there TWICE only for them to pretend they never promised the loaner car and then act surprised I wanted one. we couldnt go without a car to get to the hospital so we are stuck without air conditioning. I told them why we needed the loaner and they didnt care at all totally heartless. no call backs when I asked them to tell me when they would have a temporary car in. stay away. Terrible people.

I went to this Alexandria location because it was closer to where I live. I’ve brought my car here twice for an oil change and both times a tire surprisingly became flat. Two different tires. Almost 8 months apart.So I went back to the other dealership that is a bit further and told them our experience with Alexandria. Long story short, if you can avoid Alexandria BMW it is best. And any other BMW is recommend. I prefer working with honest people who I can trust.Side note: we have coverage for maintenance but the guys there tried to charge us $900 for an oil change. Then after we complained (because we have coverage) he came back and said we have $2000 worth of repairs. So I already felt like I was getting scammed. So then to have my tire flat (again) within a week seems sketch.

I was very disappointed with my service experience. I went in to get an oil change, and address noise that my car was making when start stop function engaged. Instead of actually trying to address the issue they took a very generic approach to resolving the problem based on the mileage and age of the car. My car had no fault codes or warning lights on. I dont think they actually test drove the car to induce/replicate the noise that I had complained about. Instead the service sales rep and technician strongly suggested I replace certain parts which werent an immediate problem, however I believe this was an upsell based on research that I completed after the replacement.Ultimately the final decision was mine to make, however I felt pressured based on what the service sales rep was relaying. The noise issue still hasnt been resolved and I refuse to pay their diagnostic fee once again. I would seek out a second opinion from a trusted independent BMW mechanic before agreeing to services/work by their service department.

The SERVICE DEPARTMENT is horrible! Brand new car, after first regular maintenance appointment my inspection sticker went “missing”. I didn’t notice for a few days called them back to bring it back in was told it wasn’t their fault that the sticker was more than likely stolen. Really, someone somehow got into my car and very carefully scraped the current inspection sticker I had off and didn’t steal anything else out of my car. I DON’T think so!! Then was told just come the next morning at 7:00 and they would do an inspection for $20 and put a new sticker on. Showed up at 7:00 was told computer were down (they can’t help that so I get that) but then was told I could leave my car with them or make an appointment for the following week as they are all booked up for the next week! WHAT?!! You just told me yesterday to just come in and you would get it done! Unacceptable, some of us work and they NEVER have loaner cars!! NEVER!! Go to FAIRFAX BMW!!

Terrible with the details at this dealership. Brought our X3 in for service and of course it was extra expensive. Went to pick up the car and found that they didn’t wash or clean the inside. After spending that kind of cash on “service” the least they can do is properly clean the car. I am disappointed to say the least. Just makes me question whether they actually did the services I paid for if they cant even do a simple car wash. NOT GOING BACK!

My son went to the dealership with flat tires cause from the highway construction.He was told that he had to pay a diagnostic fee or they would not give him a loaner at first then they told him he could get a loaner but he had to pay the diagnostic fee for them to touch the car. We have a BMW warranty that replaces tires and rims if anything happens no questions asked. There is no reason why we had to pay a diagnostic fee when I told the service manager show me in writing that it has to be paid for a warranty work to be done he had to my son the keys back and told him to get off his property..I will never recommend or use the this P.O.S dealership ever and I hope no one else will use them either

Im not happy with them, they treated me like a joke, i submitted all my paper work did everything they as filled out the credit papers filled out the $3000 deposit form and they just set it on the table for a week untill i showed up with a check thats when they told me sorry we havent processed nothing. Now that they have my check they did. They have talked to me about nothing involving the car i have to keep asking. All i want is to film the arrival of my vehicle they say the have no idea when it will come, end of November or in December. Is it cause im not white and i look too young. I gave them $100,000.

Salesman was great - stress free negotiation. Unfortunately, thats where the good experience ended. Unknowingly paid $160.00 to the dealership for the convenience of out of state registration service - took 4 months to receive my plates and then found out they overcharged me for state registration! Business manager could care less since Ive already purchased a car and he no longer needs me as a customer! Service counter then tried to convince me touch up paint for my car is unavailable because the color on my brand new BMW is not sold in the US - really?! Take your BMW to Arlington!

So unbelievably disappointed with the lack of professionalism and extremely poor customer service. I wholeheartedly expressed my interest in purchasing a used 2014 Audi Q7, was called by Darryl at 1:16pm on a Sunday and he clearly said The Q7 was still available . I called him right back and Talked extensively about what we were looking for, the price, etc. He mentioned he was very busy and would get back to me soon. Over 2 hours later I begin texting him as Im worried the car will be sold from underneath me as Im in another state. I proceed to wait as patiently as possible, I booked a one-way flight then finally get a call back from Darryl telling me exactly what I dreaded, Im sorry the car just sold 15 minutes ago.. Are you kidding me?? For 3 hours Ive called, followed up, said I was interested all for Darryl to NOT communicate my intentions with ANYONE so that another sales rep sold it at the time Im waiting on Darryl to finish other paperwork?? Asked for the manager to call me, He said Sorry, 1st come 1st serve. Well, this is so wrong especially when Im 4.5 hours away and called to lock in a deposit (as Darryl said I could do) only to have the manager tell me NOPE we dont take deposits on used cars! My fiancé convinced me to fly from NY & drive back from VA to get a car from BMW of Alexandria and it was WELL worth it & will do it again in a HEARTBEAT. AT FIRST I was very skeptical but their prices cannot be beat and their sales team is the best. We dealt with Karen Cruz she was so informative, detailed, and professional. She is the definition of southern charm ! She is so so sweet. Due to Covid we are still waiting for our license plates but she follows up with emails regularly with an update without even having to ask, very attentive. Definitely recommend,

My husband and I had the pleasure of going to the BMW service center yesterday for the first time. I had read the reviews online and many were unfavorable. Let me say I was hesitant but, we decided to give it a try for ourselves and we are glad we did. Robert Curry was the best service advisor. He was prompt to our appointment time and explained the process of our servicing since it was our first time having a service preformed. He gave us a great estimate of how long the process would take since we were waiting. He escorted us to the waiting area. It was full but, we were able to find seating in a little cove where they had computer recharging. It was great. Once the initial work was done Robert came to let us know a couple of other things that were found. He took the time to explain getting it done then verses waiting. He again told us the time needed to complete those jobs. Robert was right on target and we were out under his stated time. We cant say enough great things about him and his great customer service. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this service department and Robert in particular.

They also gave me a courtesy ride home and sent somebody for me when my vehicle service was completed. My service tech was Marcel. He provided excellent support.

Recently went for a simple service. During the course of my service, the electronic key to my home went missing from my key ring. When I noticed this, I brought it to the attention of the service associate who assisted me, who agreed that a key was missing, and would look for it. It was never located.Losing or stealing of a key to my house is a serious concern. Keys don’t just fall off of key rings, and a key is of no value alone. This is either gross mishandling of customer property or an attempt by an employee to gain access to my home. Neither makes much sense to me.I asked for reimbursement for the cost of replacing my key. I was offered a hollow apology and the service manager refused to admit any fault in the issue. Only a credit for future service use was offered, meaning I have to hand my keys back over to this shop if I want to get any reimbursement.There are plenty of BMW dealerships in the area, go to any of the other ones.

Overall, excellent service. Karen was absolutely wonderful in explaining my different options and working with me to answer all of my questions/concerns. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the finance department did a poor job of explaining my warranty options. While I understand its their job to sell the premium warranty, I did not appreciate as a first-time car buyer and customer being overwhelmed with information, rushed through the process, and misled to believe that premium was my only option.

I would like to start off by saying that this was the most unpleasant experience that I have ever had with a dealership. This entire experience felt nothing less than rude and discriminatory. This is my first BMW and my first BMW service experience and it has put a damper on my view of the BMW brand as a whole. To begin, I called into the dealership and spoke to a service advisor named Karina Gonzalez (who is the rudest, most unprofessional advisor that Ive ever dealt with before) and explained to her that I wanted to come in for a service since my vehicle has an active service contract. I asked her to verify that my information showed up in the system before coming in since bmw USA has updated it. She then verified and set my appointment for 10:30am. Upon arriving, she lied to my face stating that my car cannot be serviced on the basis of the service warranty not being transferable from the original purchaser which was incorrect per BMW USA because of my particular service contact type. At this point, I explained to her that she is may have the wrong information because the particular service contract on my vehicle is not attached to any individual owner but is attached to the vehicle. I also explained to her that BMW USA said that the dealer should call them if they have any questions. Instead of calling, she spoke to the service manager and explained that she felt the contract wasnt valid versus actually doing some research into the matter or calling BMW USA. She then walked me over to the finance manager (who I was told name is Chris) to try and sell me a refresh aka extended service plan. Upon arriving to the finance mangers office, she went into the office and left me outside of the office with the door closed to adamantly prove, in my opinion, why she was right about service non transferability. I had to ask to knock on the office window and ask from the outside of the office if I could come into the office to be a part of the conversation. How rude and unprofessional? When I was finally offered to come inside, I was never introduced nor did I receive an introduction from either Karina or the finance manager. The service manager began the conversation by looking at his computer screen and telling me that that there was nothing that he can do on his end since I purchased a used car which they sold at their dealership in the past. I reexplained the details that I received from BMW USA and told him that BMW USA asked that the dealer to call if there were any issues or concerns. The finance manger then told said Well you can call on your cell phone if you want. I then asked again if they could call from their office since BMW requested that the dealer call if there were any questions. The finance managers arrogant response to me was Well, I can call in an hour and a half because I have to help someone who is actually buying a new car because thats what I do. Im the finance manager. At this point Im wondering that if the finance manager wasnt able to help with this issue, why was I brought to you? To be reminded that I purchased a used car and that you sell new cars as if my concerns arent as important? After this awful experience, I ended up reaching back out to BMW again and ended up getting my service done (under my exact service contract with no issues at all) by another Certified BMW dealership in my area just an hour later. This Certified BMW dealer also verified that BMW of Alexandria was misinformed. I want to end this review by saying, BMW of Alexandria has lost a future customer and I will make sure to let others know that they should not take their money to this dealership because they are rude, uniformed, and lack customer relation skills. Ive read other reviews about this BMW location and realized that it seems others have had similar sentiments regarding this dealership and Karina Gonzalez in particular.UPDATE: BMW of Alexandria responded to this review and requested my contact info going on a week ago now and I have yet to hear back. Awful.

Stay away. Bought a used Jeep here. Not even 6 weeks later and five times to the Jeep dealership. No help from BMW of Alexandria. Parts don’t come in for 10 days, no rental. They charged me 35$ to have my tags mailed to me. I tried calling them to figure out what to do being it was under their warranty and no one would help me. They just kept telling me I needed to talk to someone else, just kept brushing me off to the next person. It’s looking like I may have to get a lawyer, LEMON LAW!!!!!Update! After waiting for parts, now my Jeep has been in the shop for 9 days so far. So my Jeep has been broke the whole time I have owned it.HELLO BMW OF ALEXANDRIA!!!! What is your dealership going to do to make this right???Now I have been to the dealership a total of 5 times now. The last time it was there from 10/19/20 til 11/11/20. They replaced a bunch of stuff. I get it back and it STILL is doing the same thing, but now new problems. Now it loses power and the traction control light and ABS light come on for a while then randomly disappear. I have a video of the ticking noise but I could post pics on here. You will see in the one pic the two lights that come on when it loses power. So tomorrow I get to call the Jeep dealership again. BMW OF ALEXANDRIA HAS BEEN NO HELP. Thanks for the great business!!!!! I will be calling the attorney general’s office as well to file my complaint.ANOTHER UPDATE!!Now they have replaced a wheel sensor that went bad. No more dash lights or losing power. But now I have the vehicle back. They said I have to wait a month for an engineer to show up at the dealership because they don’t know what it is. What a nightmare!! Thanks again BMW of Alexandria!!! Had this Jeep almost three months and nothing but problems.

Great, very nice and low pressure.One thing that I really dont understand though...why is it when you tell a dealership you are coming to test drive a car (and have an hour or two notice), only rarely have they retrieved the car for you by the time you get there? I cant fault this dealership, because almost none bother to save you that time it takes for them to retrieve it (sometimes 15 min or more).

Do not purchase a car here or take your car here for service. It has been an absolute nightmare. 6 months ago we purchased a car here and complained about a problem with it and they brushed it off. When we took it in for service, we had to get tons of expensive repairs that were absolutely connected to the initial problem that we pointed out. They then held our car hostage for weeks - every day telling us that it would be ready “tomorrow.” We had to physically show up to get them to complete the repairs and get our car back. When we got it back, it was completely dirty with tons of rust on it from the service. The chip that they “fixed” in our windshield was not repaired.If you ever bring your car here, get as much in writing as possible because they will lie to you and forget what they told you.

Knowing what might happen I checked my interest rates before going to this dealer. I liked the car. So I stepped into the finance managers office to talk to him. I was shocked to hear that he gave me a rate twice of what I got over the phone from the bank. To my surprise (and to his) it was also from the same bank. I immediately told the finance manager that I got a rate much lower than that and I gave him my application number. He fixed the mistake and gave me a very similar rate after.I purchased the car after feeling a little upset about this then drove home with the temporary plates. Normally it takes a week maybe two to get your permanent plates. After a month they gave me the usual due to covid excuse. Of course. Anyway, I had to get new temporary plates sent to me because the ones I had expired. Two months later still no word of the permanent plates... Long story short, it took 6 months to get my permanent plates.I dont care what anyone says. With covid or without, 6 months is too long. I was already unpleased with the finance managers mistake then this happened. Whether these two incidents related or not I cant even trust them with inflating my tires anymore.If you want a car, check everything before you step into this dealer. Dont believe them. Challenge them. Dont be afraid to step out.

Worst service ever!!! I did my service there they charge me for $850. When I return my loaner everything was fine. The next day I getting a charge $375 from the dealer they say they find a tire tear on the loaner. When I return the car the coordinator didn’t say anything about the damage, the next day they just show me the picture and a new check in sheet without my signature. Everyone just watch out for this dealer be careful when you return the car make sure you walk around the car with the coordinator and get the copy of the check in sheet don’t let them scam you.

Horrible customer service! A friend and I came to do some car shopping, we walked the showroom for at least 20 minutes, no one approached us meanwhile most salesman didnt have any customers. Finally, we went to the front desk and she paged a salesman. The salesman that was paged gave us a mediocre show of the car and stated their was no gesture control in the car we drove. We went for a test drive and indeed the gesture control option was there. We left and went to Mercedes-Benz Alexandria who showed us excellent service. Wont be back here!
