Was visiting ABQ for the weekend and wanted a special quick breakfast. We got a 1/2 dozen asstd. of cake and a vegan one. All were good! The donut part of the birthday cake donuts didn’t have a ton of flavor but the glaze and the texture of the donuts made up for that. The blueberry and the pumpkin glazed were amazing and some of the best we’ve ever had! Definitely would come back! Fun and delicious treat!
We have enjoyed rebel Donuts since they opened, they have excellent variety of dough type, frosting, and decorations. They also offer a decent variety of vegan donuts! We have also ordered larger quantities from them several times and have always been satisfied. One time there was a problem with the order, and their customer service was excellent.
Rebel donuts has real good donuts. They allow to sit in theyre restaurant. They have a wide variety of donuts. There hot chocolate is really good. You could order coffee from rebel donuts. The restaurant was very clean. At first you have to wear a mask inside the restaurant. After you sit down inside you can take off your mask. It looks like they sanitize the tables. I would definitely go back to rebel donuts.
So many vegan options and each one I tried was DELICIOUS! I hadnt eaten a Boston Cream in the 5 years Ive been vegan. I thought maybe a vegan version wasnt possible because Ive never seen it offered at any local donut shops (I live in NC) Not only does Rebel make them, but they taste just like the traditional Boston Creams I remembered from years ago. I also had a chocolate glazed and maple glazed, both were delicious and fresh. I will definitely be getting more treats from here next time Im in Albuquerque!
Vegan donuts!! 6 or 7 great vegan options + insanely reasonable prices. Walked out with two donuts and an espresso for $5 after tip! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its easy to miss this place (tiny signage) but definitely worth doubling back for 😋
Since becoming a vegan 2 years ago I used go love having the option of a delicious donut but for many months I walk in on occasion and the vegan are gone but theres a ton of regular ones. I wish theyd figure out just how many people would appreciate them making more non dairy with no egg option. Most people dont plan to stop in they have told me to call and order a day or so ahead of time. I dont always know I am going to crave a donut with my coffee. Will be looking for other options and yes I have heard other people with same complaint.
The product itself is not offensive, very okay glazed donut. Nothing revolutionary here. I always get worried when I see a donut with ingredients dog piled all over it, it suggests the dough itself is not very good. Most of the donuts here are bells and whistles and a simple glaze reveals how mediocre the dough itself is.It felt doughy and heavy suggesting it wasnt allowed to rise long enough before frying. The location/building is very unassuming looking. It has no advertisement or sign helping you locate it. We accidentally passed the building because we drove right past without noticing. The front of the house was a ghost town, the iced chai latte we ordered came hot and couldnt find anyone running the front desk to correct it.Establishment is understaffed and I pity them for that, but it makes the experience of coming here, unenjoyable.
Amazing donuts. I tried a red velvet one at work a couple of weeks ago but then couldnt get them out of my head so went today. Both today were vegan. The strawberry was ok. But the Boston Cream one was amazing. Both the Red Velvet and Vegan Boston Cream ones were the best I have had, truly amazing. I dont eat donuts very often and these are so good I will have to resist. The latte with coffee cubes is amazing as well. And the staff was friendly, cared about me and amazing also.
I walk to Rebel about once a week for a treat and the donuts are always tasty and the employees are always nice. I love that they have vegan donut options. Ive seen grown adults in there throw tantrums about certain donuts being sold out and only available in the vegan version, but the staff handle these infants with maturity, way better than I could do if I had to deal with them. Good job, Rebel, thank you for having vegan options and a great staff!
Crazy special donuts. Bacon on a donut make no sense yet makes complete sense. Loved it!
Best local donut shop; a go-to. Donuts are crispy yet soft, and flavorful. They have new and unique types of donuts every day/month, and have a calendar posted so you know what to expect, or what to come back for!
First time customer long-time donut fan, picked up a dozen classic donuts. To say the very least it was a hit at work this morning. Decent priced but they are way better than Krispy Kreme or Dunkins. Fresh as heck and tasty 😋 I will be back hungry for more. They did not survive long enough for a photo. Thanks again rebel for making this day awesome.
Beautiful donuts with a good vegan selection! The owner was super friendly.
I tried the vegan maple and vegan chocolate donuts. The maple was my favorite and a must try - vegan or not. It was delicious and the perfect texture. Lots of frosting and fairly priced. I’m grateful for the vegan options.
Tried for first time and the French toast donuts are amazing!
Loved the customer service. Liked the variety I bet if I had gotten there earlier I would have had more options. I had a vegan strawberry filled doughnut. First time for eating a vegan something.. it was good.. couldnt tell the difference really. Also got a mint chocolate... awesome!! Coffee was good... for sure will return there. And plus the best sign I have seen in a while for the bathroom.
For our first time at Rebel, we only tried less than a dozen on this trip. My wife loved the french toast one, but I was a real fan of the maple cream! The creme filling is almost as good as Donut Bank’s (in Evansville, Ind). In fact, I was kicking myself later for only buying one. Oh well! Guess there’s always next time, right? Anyway, donuts aside, this location was easy to find (only a couple of blocks away from Saul Goodman’s office and Walter White’s house 😉), but the entrance (located in the back of the building) was a bit of a pain to navigate after going to the front of the building and seeing a sign reading “Exit Only”. Inside, staff almost seemed a little bothered to have a customer there. Still, if you like good donuts and you’re in Albuquerque, I suggest stopping by.
GLUTEN FREE DONUTS!!!! OMG. The best Ive ever had anywhere. They are very careful about cross- contamination and keep everything separate. Donuts are frozen after baking, but once you order them, they are brought to room temperature and prepared how you like.I got a half dozen (yep. All to myself too). I had Toasted Coconut on a vanilla donut, Boston cream, chocolate frosted, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar and a chocolate frosted strawberry filled. Everything was to die for. Incredible flavor, incredible texture, nothing disappointed me.If you want a donut and youre gluten free, go to Rebel Donut. Ignore the calories. Just enjoy pure donut bliss!
Awesome selection of creative donuts. They also have gluten free and vegan donuts
A nice donut with a variety of regular and fancy donuts. Fast and friendly service.
Ordered donuts for my grandsons Birthday—order was ready when promised and the donuts were DELICIOUS as usual 😋. Customer service is always excellent 👍🏼
The cool people that started Rebel Donuts sold the place to some Right Wing Trumpsters. I like to vote with my wallet. Needless to say I will not be buying any more overpriced Rebel Donuts.
Stopped by on my birthday got a dozen dougnuts to share with my family. So very delicious!! Great customer service!
Rebel Donut provided us with donuts and rented out their multi-layer tier for us to make a “cake” for our wedding. After emailing them a photo of our inspiration, they made us a sampling box that included icing colors that matched our color scheme. They also made us reasonably-priced bride and groom donut wedding toppers! They delivered everything on time the day of the wedding. Our guests also loved how great the cake donuts tasted!
Thanks for the warning of a possibility of cold coffee. I appreciate you making me waste money on a cold cup and no lid. Great job buddy
Overall a fantastic stop for donuts. I would have preferred more of a selection of yeast raised, and some were a bit overly sweet (that being said I sampled almost every flavor we purchased). The French toast one was my favorite, with key lime pie a close second. If you love cake donuts, this is the place to go.
Wonderful doughnuts. You can order almost any type you can think of. So nice as well.
I love coming into this place! The atmosphere is welcoming, the doughnuts are beautiful, and the people behind the counter are so nice and patient!Going here to get fun doughnuts for the office makes for such a wonderful morning! They also have the most delicious vegan and GF options. Definitely try this place out, if you haven’t.
I watched this place being built so curious on what the circle with wings was going to be and finally when it was finished I was super excited to find out it was a donut shop not just any donut shop but one where they had donuts that were so creative and delicious and they have this really cool deal if you win theyll make your donut on the drawing contest. Ive walked by this place since it was built every day and the big fan.
We have driven twice now all the way from Temple, TX just to enjoy their gluten free donuts. I am in love with the maple & coconut glazed. Also they had some pretty awesome options for those of you that are gluten full😋 The staff is and always was super nice and helpful. The gluten free donuts are kept completely different so they are celiac safe! Dont take my word, go get yourself one or 6!
Best place to get your doughnut fix.Try the ones with bacon, yes bacon. Spot on cup of Joe as well
Really great vegan donuts! Not the biggest selection but definitely a few options to choose from. Would have gave it 4.5 if I could the only thing I dont like is they only have almond for alternative options. If they added a coconut or something that goes with coffee better itd be 5 star
This is hands down my favorite donuts place anywhere! Love every donut Ive tried. Top 2 are Red Velvet and Maple Bacon. But we always get the Breaking Bad donut (beware sugar rush) because its awesome. Been stopping for years. Bonus they serve Pinon Coffee and its usually the only kind I ever order. An Albuquerque must! Also huge THANKS for enforcing the mask ordinance. Seriously love this place. Lifetime customer 🍩☕
Rebel is always top notch on quality, service and attitude. If youve never been, make a point to stop in and have an award winning donut. You wont be disappointed! (I never am!)
Oh man. If I lived in Albuquerque, Id visit Rebel Donuts every day! The donuts were so yummy. The variety was amazing, which made it hard to pick what we wanted to try. Luckily, they have a plan for that. They still variety boxes of mini donuts, which include their unique flavors. Our family of 5 shared the variety box, then went back for large versions of our favorites. My boys dug the Homer Simpson Donut, meanwhile my husband and I loved the Barny Rebel WAY MORE than we thought we would! Its a cake donut, dipped in white glaze, then covered in fruity pebbles. I know.... Sounds like to much, right? No way. Its seriously the perfect balance of cake, to glaze, to crunch, to sweet. Over the top, amazing. We didnt taste a donut that wasnt delicious. Go here. Eat all the donuts. No regrets!
I previously had some issues with my order here. When I raised concern, I was helped right away. Very good customer service. They took the time to explain the issue and look into the problem. They helped me out and I am very grateful. The last time I ordered the vegan donuts were well made and I was happy with the size.
The donuts are delicious! The service is great at both stores. One of my favorite local donut shops. These are the French toast and bacon maple donuts. Support local!
The donuts were delicious and amazing. The lady at the front was very kind and patient and helped me choose the perfect donut.
Amazing doughnuts (donuts?) I did not know a donut could be so light and fluffy while still giving the sweet hit that I enjoy from doughnuts! Very friendly and fun staff and looking forward to visiting again.
Got our FRIDAY 13th Donut fix with some French Toast donuts as a special bonus
These donuts are very high price but wonderful if you want to taste delicious and rare donuts that most places dont make I would definitely try this the stop is also super friendly.
I ordered a giant donut for my boss from here. Just got a simple chocolate with sprinkles and happy birthday written on it. The donut was DELICIOUS. The frosting was the best I have ever had. My boss loved it and all of the office enjoyed it. It was much larger than a cake that you would get for the same price; we all were able to take some donut home after eating it throughout the day. I am going to hint to my husband to get one for my birthday! Love rebel donut!
Rebel donut is actually my favorite place to get a donut, although more expensive then your garden variety of dunkin, or Kristy it’s well worth your extra change. The coffee is good and strong too, but... the large could use a couple more ounces just so you’re not left craving one last swig.
We loved the quirky vibe and fantastic donuts. I highly recommend the French toast donut covered with cinnamon and sugar and topped with a dallop of the butteriest buttercream. The coffee was delicious and a perfect complement. The lobby is still COVID-closed, but there is a covered picnic table in the back, in case you want to run back in for one more for the road.
Great staff and productsAlways fresh
Quick service, good prices, great donuts!
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The doughnuts are delicious!!! They even have doughnuts for your dog!!!
Had a display full of gluten-free donuts individually boxed made my niece with celiac and my gluten sensitive Mom very happy.
This establishment has the worst service. Not only are the servers rude to their customers so are the owners. I used to go in and get my niece their gluten-free donuts, but after witnessing how my niece, my mother, myself, and the other patrons were treated, I will never go in again. I’m all for supporting local businesses, but I shouldn’t be rushed or talked down to as a paying customer. I would also think since small businesses are struggling that this establishment would treat customers better. If you like donuts and like to be treated with respect and courtesy, I would go somewhere else because Rebel Donut is not it. Period.
You WILL NOT be sorry you tried this place out. They even offer vegan options which Ill try next time. We got a wide variety of donuts and they were ALL good. I think my favorites were the horchata and the Homer....and the apple pie, and the green chile fritter....
Always delicious donuts. Clean store. Friendly employees. Good coffee.
I had some delicious Rebel Donuts today! I hadnt had a French Toast Donut in about 2 months! OHH Was I one happy Donut Kween! I also tried the cookie dough donut! wowza! so flippin yummy! Rebel has a perfect Happy Hour Special! Love saving money!
They always have new and interesting flavors.
Donuts are ok. Kind of average. But maybe for this part of the country they are considered great? They had little signs stating what donuts were in their case but were missing most of the products. We got there four hours before they closed and about half of their posted donuts were sold out. Also they had just cleaned the bathroom and wouldnt let anyone use it for 15 mins while it dried?
Awesome little donut shop with excellent friendly service. The donuts are delicious, and they have a nice variety of flavors to choose from (as well as the daily classics too of course). Great value too - less than $1 for a good donut is hard to find these days! Seriously, skip Dunkin and head over here!
Not your typical donuts but really good. Love the bacon pancake donuts.
Great doughnuts, but we kinda got there late and there wasnt much of a selection. Maybe I can time it better so I can see what they have. Other than that my doughnut tasted great!
Good donuts and coffee. Nice merch.
As always, freaking delicious!! And the staff, as always, very friendly and lovely.
The toppings are the only thing special about them. The donuts themselves are just regular donuts.
Love that they have vegan options but in the past couple of months, the donuts have been getting smaller and smaller but the price stays the same. Still delicious, though.Edit: The donuts seem to be normal size now and are delicious as ever. I wish they didnt sell out so quickly of the vegan donuts but that just goes to show how good they are.
Great doughnuts, a bit pricey. Wish they consistently had more vegan options. (Daughter has a milk allergy). Vegan boston cream are delicious, as well as their fritters! Weve loved everything from them weve gotten.
Rebel...my fave treat before work!
Thank you soo much for having vegan options! Delicious!
We love that they have great tasting gluten free donuts so that our whole family can enjoy!
Solid doughnut shop. I couldnt dine in because of covid, but it looked fun. I tried a basic chocolate and a more intriguing one: honey pinon. Both tasty. Eager to go back and try more later. I like that theres at least one bike parking slot in front, so I can ride there to pick up treats. Just the one though.
Ooh la la nice selection of unique donuts.
Ordered blue sky for pick up. 👌
Unlike a certain large chain which shall remain nameless, these folks always have gluten free donuts (which are delicious!), right there along with the regular ones. Fellow celiacs in Albuquerque, look no further!
Was my first time at this shop, and I loved it! Was greeted right away. I knew I would be spending a little more money for these special doughnuts compared to places like Dunkin doughnuts or donut mart. But it was worth every penny! Doughnuts were very delicious! My daughter did not waste time and was already eating her special doughnut in the car. Will definitely visit this place again!
As a vegan, I dont get to eat donuts much. During my two month stay in ABQ, I ate here 5 times! The chocolate and boston cream vegan donuts are both excellent. My son loved his non-vegan donuts including the one with bacon.
