Best place in town, and probably in the state to buy pottery supplies. They have everything I need 99% of the time, and it’s very easy to order online and pickup in store for free. Staff is absolutely wonderful here.

Great selection of glazes with test tiles, underglazes, tools (though a couple were out of stock) and a very knowledgeable staff that was more than willing to answer all of my questions and talk to me. They have a lot of bisqueware to work with, though I didnt really go through that stock. You can bring/make art the and they can fire up to cone 5 for you - so lots of their glaze stock corresponds to that temp. They also have a pretty awesome clay selection, with fired examples of it - they have at least 25 different kinds of clay and porcelain available, and the staff knows their stuff when it comes to the clay. Quality brand name tools are much much cheaper than online, and they have sales on top of that. Also, there is a student discount if you are a student. They had several wheels there, from $450-$1300. They also have mason stains, slip mixes, plaster, small electric kilns starting at $500, and brushes. It was like Christmas, if youre in Albuquerque you have to stop here!

Great selection of bisque at very reasonable rates. Staff was extremely helpful with all of my questions. They were particularly knowledgeable about the glazes and had so many options to choose from.

Only complaint is that there are too many choices! I stop by to check something out really quick and end up lost in the sauce for two hours! Its a beautiful experience.

New Mexico Clay is a great ceramics supply store. They have good prices, and the staff is very friendly. Even if you arent in the area, they have good shipping rates.

Just excellent! We made a special trip to have my pottery wheel looked over, and they were great about fitting us in on short notice. They had such a great selection of tools, clays, and glazes, and much better prices than Santa Fe Clay, which I find usually marks their tools up quite a bit.I really look forward to going back, and I wish I lived closer.

We were blessed as a church group to bring in a class which included our seven children and paint and enjoy one another. Staff is amazingly patient and helpful too. I recommend NM Clay to everyone for something enjoyable and inexpensive to do.

Went recently for a group gathering and took my family. My kids had such a great time. We Will definitely do it again. Staff were so nice and wonderful.

Went to my first of 6 class sessions this past Tuesday. I found NM Clay to spacious, well stocked, and very clean. The instructor Dan was informative and highly approachable. I liked his teaching style. He encouraged us to get a feel for the clay and to not be afraid to struggle at first. I had been wanting to take a class for many years and it appears Ive made the right choice by starting my journey at New Mexico Clay!

This place has it all when it comes to clay. Bulk clay, tools, kilns, etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. Im pretty sure they have classes as well but you can check it out.

I love this place and the people who work here. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have so many items here, including clays, glazes, kilns and parts, raw materials, books, etc. One time I needed glaze materials and was afraid that Id get there just before closing. I called them and asked if they could gather my items together so I could pickup and pay. They gladly did this for me. This is my go to pottery store though I live in Santa Fe.

They have a great selection of everything you need for ceramics and pottery work. They sell kilns, and pottery wheels and even service kilns as well. They have been very helpful when we go in (which is pretty regularly) and answer any questions you may have. They also fire tiles for those of you who dont have a kiln...a very handy service to all who need firing done. We give this place a full 5 star rating..

This place is amazing. I didnt think I would have time to stop but Im so glad I made time. The employees are wonderful, the clay is awesome and I was pleasantly surprised by the slip casting molds that were for sale. My daughter loved picking out a piece of bisque to paint when we get home. I cant wait to play with what I purchased, especially the mica clay.

This is an amazing store! Primarily for clay - every kind you can think of - same with glazes. Lots of samples of both. Also tools. More - other art supplies as well. Everyone is very helpful.

Super Ceramic supply warehouse. I had been looking for Masonite bats, listed as tempered hardboard, for awhile, and they have it in 3 sizes (great for making plates). They also have a really good selection of glazes at decent prices, AND the Mayco natural hair brushes that I was looking for!

Awesome place. Employees were *wonderful* even got a full tour. Much larger than it looks. Tons of experienced folks. Looking for anything clay related this is *the* place in New Mexico!

I could live here! The service was friendly and helpful. The selection of clays were amazing - the variety of cone 5-10 were large. I got every clay I needed and some I just wanted. Mostly cone 5-6 glazes fun selection. Got some fun underglazes as well. Lots of wheel throwing tools, stamps, cutters etc. Got some small 7batts that I needed. LOVED it. Great prices on the above. Very satisfied!

If you live anywhere close to Albuquerque it is definitely the best place to go to get all of your clay supplies. The owner and his wife are so gracious, knowledgeable and helpful that it really is one stop shopping. As an art teacher, I have attended their workshops, and it has given me the confidence, tools, and tricks of the trade to give my students 7-12 fun and exciting sculptural experiences!

Update 10/13/2019. New Mexico Clay continues to excel. I am more and more impressed with Daniel as time goes on. We will register for our 7th class with him because we learn new things every time. He is experienced, skilled, smart, funny, patient, tactful, a great communicator and a fine instructor. Most of all I enjoy how open he is to questions, analyzing problems, and applying new information. Also love the store, the knowledgeable employees, the convenience, and the reasonable prices. Every time I visit, I happily overspend. NMC seems a great example of what a well run business should be. The employees are happy and you can tell this because even in the back rooms you hear them laughing and sometimes singing.

As making things out of clay is my new found hobby, which Im loving, Im in and out of this place frequently, every time excited that I find something new. Im always asking question which probably gets annoying to some, but always receive great answers and explanations by the staff. oh and Ive already gotten many things fired each time only being from over night ready to only about 3 days. This place is truly awesome.

This is a potters store. Nothing else in the store to take up floor space. They have a good selection of kilns on display up front. Excellent selection of clays and glazes. Lots of equipment and tools. There is an area in the back for classes and workshops. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful but they are often busy and you may have to wait for help.

Owners are very helpful, and plenty of supplies for potters.

I have never done any casting before and the owner was super nice and spent some time with me explaining what to do and some alternatives for me. When they didnt have one of the things I needed he told me where to get it. A great place!

The space is large and has a lot of great materials for potters. It is mostly organized but sometimes it can be hard to find what youre looking for. Example tiles might be in a different area than the actual product so it makes it hard to really pick out what you need. Some items do not have prices labeled. There is only one person running the kilns so if shes not there, good luck. And they are not great at calling to let you know your work or orders are ready to be picked up. I would like to give them 5 stars as I shop there all the time and get most all my materials there, but those few reasons really bring them down.

Bought a Skutt kiln at NM Clay. Some of the brick in the kiln asbroken during delivery to White Rock. NM Clay ordered newbrick and coil and drove up here to replace the parts at no cost to us. Verysatisfied with service.
