Oh Starbucks and your seasonal/holiday drinks. While I am certainly impressed year after year by the concoctions that you come up with, especially for the fall, sometimes they fall short. Case in point is this falls Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato. I ordered it using my stars, so I got it for free. And thanks heavens inside. While these fancier drinks dont usually disappoint, I will not be ordering this again.

Typical Starbucks... but it can get slightly busier than most during what might be slow or down hours for the average location. This is largely due to its (pretty much on-site) proximity to a very large hospital, medical school and major hotel chain. This did lead to some order confusion, which in turn, created the need for the baristas to have to remake both hot and cold beverages and that happened on two of the three occasions that we were there during the week. Other than that, the service was professional and courteous and unlike a lot of coffee houses these days, the majority of the items on the menu seem to be available, even toward the close of business.

Always get a decent beverage here.No complaints. Always super busy. So I guess one complaint.Staff works hard and Ive never had an issue with any of them.

Baristas were nice, but while I waited 15 minutes just to place an order I heard them have to remake every other drink before mine. Then when I asked for a simple cold brew with cream, I was charged the extra money for the sweet cream.

When the guys are there its great ! Theyre very friendly and make my latte delicious! But when those two women are there theyre very lazy and refuse to make my latte. They say because of covid we cant or theyll say the machine is broke. I stopped going because its on my way to work and when the 2 women refuse to make my latte I have no time to stop somewhere else. Dam shame because Starbucks is my favorite place.

Best Starbucks experience in years.. Liz went out of her way to make me feel like I was in my own kitchen Getting Coffee and helped me to celebrate my birthday. Like most of the Starbucks I have visited in the world, my espresso is on point... But this excellence in customer service will be the reason why I go bankrupt on coffee.

Hello, I usually never go to Starbucks because Im not into paying $5 for coffee but I was at the hospital at Albany med and I got a sweet Italian cream Iced coffee it was great. The staff was very friendly. No mask required for vaccinate people

Disappointing. They were closed and I REALLY wanted a tea. But its 9:26pm. So I forgive them!

Bathroom was a shameful disgusting mess. Toilet liners on the floor, toilet paper almost out. Grime. If it reflects cafe’ cleanliness, buy the hospital coffee instead. Their restrooms are cleaner. :(

I have never been to this store when I got my order in under 10 minutes, and a few times it’s been 30-45 minutes later than projected. They never have it staffed enough and so the workers are consistently 20+ orders behind. They work hard so I am not blaming them but I am blaming management. Easily the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to in my life.

Great response to the pandemic. Exceptional safety measures in place. Very clean and clearly marked. On top of this they have an exceptional staff; kind, efficient, and very friendly. Stop in for a treat. Outside seating available or an array of pick-up and delivery options.

Drinks were ready very quickly. Staff professional and nice, and the drinks were made to perfection.

Hi I Go Here Once Or Twice A Month Sometimes A New Worker had wanted today on me when I repated my order she was laughing and but Im a good person I stay to myselfsaid ok alright after she took my order she was rude other than that the staff is very friendly usually I like this starbucks I will still come to this store and they have really good iced coffee and other drinks.

Very slow. Waited 40 minutes for order to not even be recognized I was there. Everytime I go here its extremely slow. Hate getting uber eats orders from here cause it ties up hours of your time.

This is one of the busier Starbucks I’ve been to. I’m curious as a told the young lady that I added a tip on my order with the app. I asked how she got paid or how they split the tip. She said the only tips she received were the cash tip. She then asked the other girl working there and she said the same thing she didn’t know anything about if they received app tips. So now I’m curious who is getting all of those tips!!!

I’ve never encountered a friendly employee at this store. They always have an attitude. I understand happy hour is usually busy but today I waited nearly an hour for an online app order. Happy hour is always busy. Properly staff next time?

Usually the place is pretty good, orders are typically fine but can take forever. seems to be high turnover of employees. i just ordered blonde roast and could tell they didnt brew a cup for me, it was a blonde americano instead and they thought i wouldnt know the difference... not pleased but ill be sure to be very specific next time!

The Staff are super sweet and delightful, they always make the coffee right and if there is a mess up (VERY RARE) They will fix it right away. Always treat your local baristas with respect 🥰

I ordered a Dragon fruit strawberry lemonade and i got to work and its test like the fruit inside was Rotten and they test weird. also the girls who works there always and rough and rude . while the boys are always welcoming .

I ordered a panini online with no problem, but when I got there my drinks were ready and the food wasn’t. I figured it would just be a few more minutes. I waited around 15 min and everyone else’s orders were taken care of. I went to the register and asked about the sandwich and she told me they were out. I understand that businesses run out of things sometimes, but it was really annoying, because no one had let me know that my food was never coming.

I ordered ahead to avoid the wait but still ended waiting for my food for 10 minutes. On top of that they got my order wrong. They gave me ham egg bites when I asked for the red pepper ones. Like what if I was a vegetarian? And they put the wrong syrup in my frappe. All in all it was a terrible first experience.

Is this a coffee shop or a club? The music is way too loud. Wonderful staff, but its impossible to focus or have a conversation in here.

I recieved something different than what I ordered. And it was insanely sweet. There was 2 women in front of me who had also been complaining their drinks were way too sweet. And for as many baristas as there were, the service was very slow. The girl behind the counter seemed maybe new? She couldnt find anything on the computer that customers were ordering.

They short you your money. I gave the lady a $10 and she gave me change for $5. I specifically took out a $10 bill for the purpose of going there, so I know what I gave her. This was 9am in the morning. Manager counted the drawer but the expression and body language on the cashier and manager made me feel like they did this regularly. Make sure you watch them carefully when exchanging money with them.

Very helpful staff who made sure the order was perfect.The store itself is small, but very comfortable seating while not being too cramped.Bathrooms are spacious and fairly clean.3 pokestops here that you can spin while drinking and eating.

I love it because my drink quality is consistent and staff recognize me as a regular, and they remember what I order. I feel welcome and appreciated. Sometimes there is a wait, but its worth it!

The staff is very friendly, but the coffee is standard. The convenient location of this shop redeems it quite a bit, but there are far superior local coffee shops with lower prices.

Consistently understaffed. I feel the workers there might be able to do their job well, but this being one of the busiest stores in the Albany area, I can see why employees would get overwhelmed and unable to meet basic customer expectations. District management is to blame.

Yes I wasnt Starbucks down across from Albany Memorial Hospital and yes I was sitting there for a good hour at least I was waiting to see somebody come in but apparently she had something else to do and didnt have the time to stop and say hello or even have a cup of coffee that we were supposed to have a long time ago but anyway I understood everything that was going on in her life we are now friends so you have a good evening and soon as I get my photos loaded up I will send everybody a photo if you notice the photo when you first got on the internet me and the person the woman alongside me that is my former wife she passed away on me after 40 years being married what is part of life we made it back got no matter what that will move on show each other would not wind up going crazy I couldnt do it right away I stayed in a recliner staring into midair my kids do not like what theyre saying they said I change an awful lot but you got to understand I just lost my true love my best friend I met her on a Monday married her the following Saturday 40 years ago as of last Friday one week after anniversary she passed away and I sat in the house for almost a full year and just stared at the walls and talk to people on the tablet that was my life I still sleep with her picture alongside me every night shes at the end of my bed next to the TV and so is my daughter 35 years old people passed away she lets us a beautiful granddaughter that was three years old when she passed away she was born on my birthday June 22nd I never celebrated another birthday and now I would never ever celebrate another one 35 years old your friend Mike

Barista Danielle not friendly at all. Absolutely no personality. She made no attempt to connect with me as a customer. We were the only family In cafe and my order was incorrect and missing drinks. Never once did she smile either.

This was probably the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. One employee was barking orders for two other employees, but nothing that was productive. She pulled all staff to only assist mobile orders, leaving several in linger for over 15 minutes with no explanation other then she was too stressed to take orders. At this point we turned and left to find another place...the 2 patrons in front of us had no estimate of service... there were only 5 people in the store... it was not busy.

I was at the Starbucks right in front of Albany Medical Center with my daughter. The music was blasting so loud that a few costumers were complaining about it. My daughter had to study for a very important exam. (we had no internet connection at home, thats why we went to Starbucks.) I asked the manager if she could lower the volume at least a little. She just said that she couldnt. I know for a fact that that is not true. That was so rude and inconsiderate! I dont understand why she had to play the music so loud, and didnt care about the costumers! :-( We just had to leave. By the way, all the libraries close early on Saturdays, if they open at all.

This Starbucks is right by Albany Medical College and Albany Medical Center. The baristas seem pleasant, if not a bit heckled. The place itself is looks really nice and seems like it would be a cool place to hang out.

Probability of getting blonde roast near 8am? 67%. No joke. Also 20oz is 16oz.

Eh, overpriced nonsense honestly. Everytime I get coffee here it tastes burnt. But this isnt the only Starbucks to have that taste so I wonder if their coffee is just no good. I hate it to say it but Stewarts coffee is better than this. I know they have lattes and what not but its overpriced. They dont tamp their own shots - its all done by a machine. So machine made lattes arent really my thing.

They take forever to make drinks because they have ONE barista making both online orders and in shop orders. During the busy times its not unusual for your drink to take 20-30 minutes to make due to the huge backlog of drinks the poor soul has to make. You can look at the other employees and see on their faces they are thanking God they are not the one making coffee.Mismanagement for sure. If they had 2 baristas, one for online orders and the other for in shop orders would make it not only a better experience for the customer but the employees too.

Just dont go in expecting the greatest of service. Ive had so many issues with this one and to be honest it should be the best being that they are serving Drs and patients families....

Very friendly, expedient baristas, but otherwise, this location is very similar to other locations of the popular chain. It does offer good people watching if you like medical professionals in white coats.

This location gets REALLY busy especially during peak times so if you go at the wrong time it might take a while. But the staff works very quickly and are always friendly!

Something about this place is changed. Now days I was normal with a coffee here in this branch but now 2nd time being here the coffee was cold ordered two hot but wasnt even little warm not thinking to visit this branch again its has been changed. I work at the hospital so I use this Starbucks frequently..every time I go I’m waiting 15-20 mins so I tried ordering from the mobile app, I gave it 10 mins and it wasn’t ready, so I waited. They completed people’s orders both from the mobile app and from the line that ordered after me, I waited another 20 mins so I ask and they say my order is up...it wasn’t, it was about another 5 mins. 35 mins is a ridiculous wait time for a drink order.

This place routinely plays their music so loud that with earphones you cant listen to your own music. The staff routinely states they cant change the volume which is a blatant lie, since I study here for hours at a time and its always when staff change their shifts. They are slow, dont know how to run the registers (i.e. cant seem to process gift cards) and frequently are very rude, directly the staff member with the purple hair who has shouted expletives at her co-workers with a full store. I.e. I come here because it is the only coffee shop within walking distance, but I desperately wish there was another.

Super disappointed. I recently just started getting into Starbucks. This was the first time I went to the one on new Scotland. I live in Albany so its not that far of a drive but parking over there sucks. After waiting in a very long line (which I didnt mind at alll) I was greeted by a very friendly lady as cashier. She was definitely new but very sweet. After telling her my order I waited another 10 minutes. I had ordered a salted caramel mocha frap and when I got home I realized it was some strawberry thing. Costumer service was very nice.. just wish they would have got my order right. The cup did say scmf so idk how they got it wrong😞
