We went to buy a vehicle after their site showed what we wanted to look at was in stock. We showed up and they didn’t have a single one. It was “being built.” The salesman advised us he would call us the second it came in as we wanted to purchase it and had approval from the bank. We had to check in with the salesman as he never updated us once. When the one week mark hit, we asked again & he advised it did come in that day, they had sold it but they’d see if they’d allow us to come look at it. The audacity of this place is astounding. They obviously do not value military - we wouldn’t recommend this place, go to Roswell Toyota instead.

Best car buying experience yet. We aren’t from Alamogordo but they had the car I wanted in transit. So we were able to process most of the purchase virtually with the help of Jane. When we got there Angelita and Dakota both help us finish up as it was Jane’s day off. What an excellent team! It all went very smooth and headache free.

We got our sporty compact 2018 Honda Fit serviced here. The Resistall treatment made our car like new again. We had purchased our vehicle here 1-1/2 years ago. Where theres a Will Gardner was our sales consultant today and Bill (didnt get his last name) the manager took excellent care of us. We live on El Paso so the VIP treatment we received was well worth the trip.

We were looking for a new RAV4 because we love our 2010 RAV4 so much. We live in Las Cruces so I started looking around all the Toyota dealerships in the area. Desert Sun had a RAV4 with just the right trim and color and good price. I got help from Billy through an internet inquiry, he helped me find the right vehicle and sent me to work with Angelitta. We were 1300 miles from home when our Prius had, what was apparently key fob battery issues. The receptionist, service manager and parts room staff were all so pleasant and anxious to go out of their way to help identify and resolve the problem immediately by installing a new fob battery while showing us how to diagnose a faulty battery -and all at most charge for the repair or the battery! That is why we continue to be loyal Toyota owners.

Brought the car in since another local shop did not have the right tools to do a oil change. Here they we able to the oil change and found a few other issues that need immediate attention. Great customer service.Though while my car was in the shop someone did go through my center console and my trunk. Nothing was taken but they obviously were looking.

I recently had my 2006 Tacoma brought in to have the clock spring, seat belt, and rear leaf spring recalls done. Upon return, the dealership elected to return the vehicle with a new alignment as required by the recall work. However, to drive strait, the wheel is canted 30 degree to the right, and when you dont hold the wheel straight, the tracks left down the road. In addition, the rear door no longer opened, and the TPS sensor had suddenly malfunctioned. I brought it back to them to have the alignment and door fixed. They fixed the door, but then quoted me $600 to sort the alignment. So now, after complying with the recall, I have a truck that is nearly un-drive-able due to a jacked up alignment job that the dealership is refusing to fix.

First of all we have to drive a total of 4 hours to get our toyota serviced because our extended warranty wont allow us to use any other dealership in NM. The Service rep is ALWAYS rude. Several times they have tried to charge us for things they never did. One time it took almost 3 hours for an oil change. I seriously think they took it for a ride off the lot. Today we asked if we could get our remote reprogramed, he insisted it was just the battery. He replaced the battery and never checked it. Still doesnt work! Charged us for the battery. He insisted that it was no longer programed because we waited too long, not true it never worked. And instead of just making it right and programming the remote for us he wanted to charge us. The service rep was Tony

I just moved to Alamogordo and my Highlander is still under warranty so made an appointment 12 Feb at Desert Sun Toyota for routine maintenance.Coincidentally, when I arrived my tire pressure light had been on for a couple days. I explained I had been adding air so I believe I had a slow leak and asked them to check.After sitting in the waiting room for 2.5 hours, I asked what the status of my vehicle. They explained there are multiple vehicles ahead of mine and it would be another 30 minutes. I added that I had a scheduled appointment and the waiting room was empty so it may be a good idea to look at how they schedule clients. Shortly after the conversation, I saw what could only be an employee dressed as a unicorn as he was going in restricted areas and conversing and laughing with the Toyota reps/salesmen. Perhaps a contributing factor to the long wait time?A little after three hours, a Toyota representative informs me my vehicle is ready. I signed the paperwork and left. Before I even arrived back at my house (approximately 9 miles) my tire pressure light was on again.I brought my vehicle back the following day (no appointment) and explained to the service department what happened and they told me to go around the corner and tell someone else. I went around the corner and told them and they brought me back to the service department where the individual, said Ugh.. Fine. Ill air up your tire. I emphasized as I did the first time, it doesnt just require air, it has a leak. Approximately 30 minutes later they were able to identify and plug the leak, at no cost. Considering this was my second time at Desert Sun for the same issue and tire service is included in the Toyota Care Plan, I would assume there was no cost. The representative went on to say my Toyota Care will expire soon and tried to sell me a service plan for $525 and... you would definitely get your money worth, because thats about what its going to cost for the 30,000 mile routine maintenance. I did some research and that did not appear to be true. Needless to say, I didnt buy the maintenance plan.I would expect this unprofessional behavior from a sleazy used car lot, but not a reputable car dealership. It appears the sales department may be better than maintenance, but I do not plan on returning and advise others to avoid as well.***UPDATE*** It has been over a month since I received the response below stating, the service manager will be contacting you soon to make things right and Customer service is our top priority, which contradicts the previous statement as I was never contacted. Dont be fooled by the positive reviews as stated before, that is the sales department and not the service department.

This dealership is THE best! I actually drive 150 miles to get my car serviced. All of the staff is fabulous ~ no matter which department you’re dealing with. I went there this week to have my car serviced and left with a 2020 Corella! Incredible Service! I came into this dealership thinking that I would be swindled due to past experiences with other car dealerships, but they take customer service very seriously. I live in El Paso and normally I wouldn’t consider committing to purchasing a vehicle without first test driving it or looking at it in person. I found the vehicle I was looking for online at desert sun and immediately began communicating with Chuck Reynolds. I spoke to man named Mike Ambrosi; he was very professional and prior military so he knew what I was going through. Of course I looked around at other places, but none of them really felt up to par. Mike hooked me up with a good deal on the car that I wanted for the price I needed. He even still checks up on me to see if there is anything at all he can help me with. It seems like he actually cares about people rather than it just being about selling cars.I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a car, whether it be for a quick ride or for a long term family car, they got your back.

Worst service ever....would give it 0 stars....rep was very nice however I had a battery installed by Toyota in Florida and it wasn’t even 3 years old....Toyota Alamogordo wants me to pay full price for replacement when it is still under warranty.....why get service through a Toyota dealer is they don’t honor each other? Never had issues with any other vehicles when moving to a new city....ridiculous!!

Feel completely robbed by these people. Bring my car in for brake replacement. Before giving the okay, I ask how much was I looking at total. I get quoted 530 bucks including labor and fluid flush. This seemed high for brakes and fluid, but I said, okay. Come back 4 hours later to a bill of almost $900.00!!! For brakes and fluid flush!!!?? I immediately questioned the service department and was told that was a normal price. So, I call around to other Toyota dealerships to get a quote. For everything, including labor, I was quoted $443.00 at El Paso Toyota, and about the same at other dealerships. This is the second time we have had issues with this dealership. I literally feel like these people robbed us, and then proceeded to make me feel stupid for questioning the bill. I will not be back. Beware of this place.

I bought my equinox during one of Desert Suns fall blast at the fair ground. Even though Erik works at the Toyota Dealership he was quite familiar with the ins and outs of Chevrolet. I was a no hassle purchase. I told him the price range and the type of vehicle I wanted and they had a vehicle that I liked and in my price range. So whether you are buying a Toyota or Chevrolet give Erik a call or better yet stop by and see him. Things happen when you visit him in person.

This place ROCKS! Best place in town to buy a vehicle and have it serviced. I have bought 3 vehicles from here in the past 18 months. I think I got a good deal. I was treated fairly and with respect. Great people to do business with. Their maintenance shop is quick and efficient.

Wonderful as always!! This is not the closest Toyota dealership to me but its the best. Friendly people, great quick service and l can get an appointment without having to wait a week or two. Its worth the extra miles l have to drive to get there. 5 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ service all the way around!
