USE Homedepot instead! Reserved a box truck a week prior to a convention. Put in how many miles I needed it for, even did the vitural checkout thing. But when I showed up to pick up the box truck I had to wait. The lady was busy with another customer and the guy was talking to someone. I had to wait 20 min for the lady to help me once she was done. Then she tells me that I cant rent the box truck! Told me that I have to have it back by 9am the next day (Saterday). I asked if I can have one of the other 10 trucks and she said no, they are all booked... I asked if she can check the other uhaul stores and she said no they cant do that.I left empty handed and went to Homedepot where they have a box truck and they let me rent it for the Fri., Sat., and Sunday. Plus it was cheaper!

Rented a 6x12 trailer with ramps. The website said it had 62 inside width of the trailer but it failed to state that the ramp structure restricted the opening to 5 which made it so that I could not fit my load on to the trailer. I had to rent a different trailer from a different company to get my load home. I asked in person for a refund as the website was incorrect and got no response. I submitted two formal requests on Uhauls website and got no response, no email, no call back on the issue. Next step is the BBB. They double charged me but did refund that.

We just returned a Uhaul, which we were to do by 7pm and we did! However the two employees working, were VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The icing on the cake though, they accused my husband of drinking in the truck, set in the truck letting it run for awhile, I guess to run out some of the fuel he replaced, spent ten minutes in the doorway whispering, then decided they were charging $25 cleaning charge for the beer smell! His friend was with him, witness one and I was sitting in the parking lot to pick them up, although I didnt hear conversation, I did see actions! Did I mention slaming of the rear door!!! Weve always used UHaul for several moves over the years! Sorry never again! And my review is going farther then just this page! Its unfortunate two people can ruin years of trust for one company!!

This is the worst u-haul and storage place. I mean does anyone work there. They never answer the phone and are extremely rude. They need to be shut down. I will be taking my business elsewhere. A bunch of useless lazy workers. I honestly cant even rate them a 1. They deserve a 0 because they suck. Do your job or be more selective in who you hire.

The man working there was no help whatsoever my friend and I werent shown which truck was ours and he made me climb into this caged off area to get the dolly, that was a sheet of ice, very dangerous- while he watched me do his job, which might I add it was freezing outside. Everything should have been loaded and ready when we got there.....I would have given 0 stars if I could. Thanks for nothing and the worst customer service I have ever experienced 😑.

Not a great experience. 2 stars because the truck was clean. Moving is already rough and stressful. I didnt need the extra add on. Started off with the self check in not working correctly. Sent multiple pictures they never received. Had to go in. Then the person working took 21 minutes to get us moving. And seemed like she had better things to do. Then they decided not to tell us the dolly we paid for wasnt available... until we got to the house and opened the gate and noticed it was missing.. Which put us in a bad situation. Then when we went to return it, it still had the dolly charge on it..So glad its over. Bad experience!

Was a nightmare from the start. They lied about price. Gave wrong keys to the uhaul truck. Very rude and uninformative. Had uhaul back the same day cleaned and exact fuel returned and went over mileage by 5 miles. Then they decided to MAIL me a check for the refund of 12 dollars. SO BY ALL MEANS PLEASE AVOID THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE SHITAND RIPPED OFF!! STAY AWAY...STAY AWAY!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! 😉

Their customer service is the worst, they are unhelpful, unwilling to answer questions, and the attitude is projected as disappointed that you even entered the store. Do you even want people to give their business to you?Either the manager is also this way or has no skill regarding discernment when it comes to selecting who is hired. Either case I would consider new management and an overhaul of representatives. Desperate need of new leadership.Also who taught these people how to wear a mask? On your chin? Are you a pirate, captain blue beard? No common sense whatsoever.I will pay more money to a business that conducts themselves as a business.

The young ladies working were very very unprofessional dont greet they were talking amongst each other as if I wasnt even there then when I went to return it they were both sitting outside left me standing there for about ten minutes before I finally made myself known then told me I put the truck in the wrong place even though they didnt instruct me on where to put it.

Shady people... So, when you check in, you are guided by a tiny screen that the clerk just clicks through rapidly. Turns out there is a $20 up charge to return after hours. I wasnt told that, there isnt any signage that indicates it and as he was rapidly clicking through, I couldnt read it. As I didnt get my print out of the contract until I printed it out at a later date, I was surprised. Add insult to injury, this location charged me after I had already paid on the corporate website. So, paid $20 extra, doubling the fee, and paid twice. After confronting the owner (thats what his tag said), he refunded half.Shady....

Wow. Probably one of the best U-haul experiences Ive ever had. Wide selection of trailer stuff for sale inside. Staff was knowledgeable. They even made sure my trailer was hitched properly before I set off! I would recommend renting here.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!! I have had an issue for over a week. I opened a customer complaint and still have not heard from the local store. Their social media folks are giving me the run around and no one will call me or even attempt to resolve my issue. The best part is Im not looking for money, a refund, a hand out, or anything free... I just want to speak with someone about the original issues and now the horrible customer service.

Great help with renting a trailer! The gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable and polite, he helped us with buying the proper hitch and ball the helped us hook up up the 5x9 trailer we rented. The trailer was in great shape and preformed perfectly as we used it to move a couch and love seat. The drop off was super easy too! Thanks again U-HAUL!

We made an appointment tho have a hitch and wiring harness installed. They changed the appointment to the next day! That appointment stood, we picked it up. Next day packed our camper and hitched it up. The lights didnt work. We didnt have lights when pressed the brake. Had lights when the car was turned off. They ran the wires over the exhaust and gas tank, either one bad, let alone both. We had someone come out to the house, had to pay them abs they couldnt fix it. Since uhaul completed wired it incorrectly, it blew the module. We were planning on leaving at 1:00am. Now we have to have it completely redone and who know what time we will be leaving. We have lost a days vacation and we have reservations. Planed on being there by 100pm., wanted to have plenty of time to set up camp. If we are lucky, well be setting up camp at dark. Hopefully not in the middle of the night. Ugh..... They also messed up the factory wiring in my SUV. Not a happy camper at all! I would NEVER recommend going there! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!

I called Nov 13 to warn them of a known felon driving one of their trucks and no drivers license.....they obviously have no idea how to look up a rental for an exact date I was giving them.....transferred me to an 800 number for nationwide.....they couldnt figure out how to do it..... the felon ended up getting pulled over 3 days later and arrested for not returning the truck. All that could have been avoided if uhaul didnt hire illiterates that have no clue what their doing except smoke pot on their breaks out the front door. What a joke uhaul is!!!!!!

By far the worst Uhaul facility I have ever used. Customer service is HORRIBLE!!! I could not download app to show I returned the truck by 11 pm. There is a $20 fee if late. We dropped off at 9:13 pm. We went to Uhaual at 6:30 am to make sure staff knew of not being able to download app. At 6:45 am we saw General Manager Chris and told him of problem. Please note our truck was 2nd in line of return out of 7 trucks which 6 where behind us. This indicates we returned the truck early and before others behind us. General Manager Chris looked at us with no concern and said “Too late it’s been processed “. He was not trying to hear our story. This is poor customer service. Just refund the $20!!!!! You will then have a happy customer who would come back and write a great review!!!!

Terrible/rude customer service, they also treat you like you have a 500 credit score by asking for references and other people they can contact. My trailer rental got transferred 3 times before I finally went to Uhaul in Copley and got fantastic service. Started at 9am and finally got a trailer at 11:45am. I will never again use this location. I’ll buy a trailer before I rent from here. Don’t expect to get ahold of the manager either. Filed a complaint with Uhaul corporate and BBB.

TERRIBLE CUST SERVICE-my truck broke down and instead of following policy they put three of us into a vehicle that only holds two! Refused to listen to reason and common sense definitely is not something they have here. The location on Tallmadge was awesome! I accidentally gave them a bad review and I wish I could take it back and give this place two terrible reviews!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been coming here for a number of years. In the past year or so, this place has transformed. The people are nice, helpful, and smiling. I always get my propane here and they go the extra mile to help out. They want to earn your business and it shows.Most of the bad reviews are from a few years back, and I can understand why. A few years ago, it was almost kinda painful going here. What a difference a few years makes! Way to go guys on turning things around. Kudos!

The manager, Chris, helped me when I went to pick up my trailer, and he gave me everything I needed. To be honest, I was about 30 minutes late on the return on the rental, and I was not charged any fees. The price was right and the service was a plus.

I have rented a trailer from here about 5 times. They always have the trailer size I need and I can be in and out hitched and ready to go in about 10 minutes. I also get my propane there. Its not in a great area and there are better places nearby for storage, but for trailer rental, its perfect for me.

I ran into U-Haul from them the beginning of March When I get the big U-Haul the window was halfway down the door didn’t close all the way and I made a funny sound when I was driving it when I returned it back the rent wouldn’t go baguette and I explain to them how it got off track they told me that they’ll try to fix it and then charge me $117 extra on top of my rental payment which overdraft my account I would never go to a U-Haul place ever again

STORAGE UNITS HAVE RATS!!!! I am very upset and distraught. I went to get some items from my storage unit and I noticed there had been some rats in my unit. They had damaged my property and my boxes and clothing had been chewed through. There is so much rat feces and damages I just burst out in tears. I went to the Manager and he said that there was nothing they can do about it. I asked them what have they done in the past to solve this issue he said that they use bait boxes, which let me know they do have this problem. Some of my items are priceless to me and can never be restored. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! THIS IS THE WORST THING THAT CAN EVER HAPPEN !!!!

I had a storage unit for 9 months I had issues where 2 dressers a sofa could not be moved right away glass from pictures that some how got broke were removed when I filed an insurance claim the manager Eileen said I will give you extra time since we can not dispose of your items without cost or you have to pay another month I went on thanksgiving to take pictures to send to the insurance adjuster and they went and threw away all my things claiming that she called me and did not allow me to take pictures also did not say what was really in there called a bag of important documents trash the manager I spoke with hung up on me twice by saying I can’t hear you and said it’s not his problem

Picked it up and made sure I had everything I needed. When I brought it back just before closing they where just as nice. Will rent from them every time.

I couldnt rent the trailer that I reserved due to wiring problems on my end, the staff was very courteous and helpful.

Employees here have the worst attitude. I got in the truck and it had half a tank even thbough paperwork said 3/4. Truck had no dolly but the green tie was laying there and had trash in it.

Then the lady she returned truck to told her she had to come back after 3:00 to get our deposit money back and we returned at 9:00 in morning cause she didnt want to balance her register my wife ask to talk to manager he told work he was to busy!!! I will never get a hitch installed here again. When installing the hitch, they messed up the factory wiring on my GMC SUV. The way they wired it caused a short and I had to pay someone else $160 to get it fixed properly. The new place showed me what a sloppy job Uhaul Moving & Storage of Akron performed, running wires over my exhaust, gas tank and axle - shame on me for not inspecting the job and trusting them. Shame on them for poor workmanship. The Uhaul manager stated he wouldnt warranty their work.

I wouldnt even give this place one star!!!!! they are thieves at this location! i called 4 times to get a hold of a manger and they kept telling me, they would give me a call back! when i picked up the truck i had missing pads from the back of the truck, but when i went to return the truck i got charged for the missing pads that wasnt even in there in the first place. just because someone didnt do there job and was lazy, i get charged for it!! workers are rude and management sucks!! i wouldnt recommend anyone to go to this location!!

I dont normally respond to these but I saw a couple poor reviews. I have used this store a couple of times. I have found them very helpful and pleasant.

We made an appointment for a hitch to be put on-when we got there we were told it was a different time which wasnt good for us. Alas, made another appointment and the same thing happened-different time, different day. My husband made the first appointment and I had made the second one. A lesson learned, call before going to appointment because it is likely it has been changed. We wont be going back.

I had a reservation and there was a line to the entrance. We waited in line, standing for 20 minutes.

These people were slow and didnt tell you important information up front. The trucks were old.

Friendly staff, but can be a bit slow as theres only one or two people on staff at a time.

Called customer service who told me that the uhual on Vernon Odom had a lost and found cause I had forgotten some keys in a truck.I went there and come to find out,no lost and found,no keys.

Mixed up rental info, didnt have proper equipment, had to send me to a different location.

Had to wait till bext day to get a truck
