Where do I start. I have never been to a more authentic restaurant other than La Fresca. It really felt as if we where in the streets of Mexico. Their selection definitely isnt for everyone, but those willing to step out of their comfort zone and for those who want real authenticity, please give this this a try. I support this business 100%

Originally from AZ (and spent a good amount of time in SoCal) I am a lover of authentic Mexican food. I have been hard pressed to find that in Ohio - and I dont just mean edible, decent tasting Mexican food, I mean truly authentic in its flavor and even presentation. Someone recommended this place and, being from California themselves, I figured they knew what they were talking about. So, I stopped by and ordered my favorite, go-to breakfast burrito that I have probably eaten a few hundred times in my life...and that I have not yet found on a menu at any of the sit-down Mexican restaurants I have been to in the state. That said, this was the best Mexican food I have had in my 13 years in Ohio, hands down. I could go on and on, but just take if from a kid from the SW that this place is legit and you should go!

Some of the best and most authentic Mexican food Ive ever had.I dont think their chips are homemade, but everything else definitely is. I had their quesadilla and it was loaded with steak and cheese, and was very flavorful, well seasoned. Cheese dip is pretty good too. Definitely need to come back to try some of the other things on their menu.

The food at this place is amazing !! Tamales! 110% Mexican, Tortas [sandwich ] tacos ! Cozy place ! Little bit of everything, To go orders ! I mean this folks are so polite ! Proud of their work ! Can’t get better than that ! Authentic and a little bit more !!! Sometimes they have pastel de 3 leches ! flan?? Yummy !! You won’t be disappointed:)

Authentic mexican food. Definatly not taco bell. Very friendly and helpful staffThe manager guided me as i was new to this quisine. I would recommend trying their pisstachioe ice cream yum give it a try they also have a big novelty shop deffinatly worth a look i however prefer westernised taco ill just make my own

Who would have thought that the two best Mexican restaurants in Akron would share a parking lot. Ive been eating next door since it was a trailer down the street. Their food is very good, and the people at La Fresa will tell you the same thing. They are a class act! I think the food at La Fresa is bit better, and the ice cream is just fantastic. Its more dense than your average ice cream and very creamy with tons of flavors to choose from.If youre in the parking lot and trying to decide between the two, Give La Fresa a shot. You wont be sorry.

Lots of fun with my kids in the family here. The owners are super nice and gave us samples of everything. Dollar taco specials on Mondays. They have tons of authentic Mexican ice cream flavors made in house. The Agua Fresca flavors are unbelievable! We will absolutely come back!

First time coming here and im obsessed! So many flavor options. The guava paletas I had was delicious and so was the pistachio my husband got. Im for sure bringing any out of town guests here for a nice treat!

We stopped in here on a whim. So glad we did. The food is honestly super good and a good price. We.tried the nachos, tamals, tostada, and tacos. All we absolutely delicious. The nachos are huge! I could drink the cilantro sauce. Yumm.

La Fresa is a must if you are looking for quality, decently priced, authentic, mexican food. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff with a friendly hello and wave. The food is amazing and the horchata is awesome with several flavors to choose from, great refreshment on a hot summer day. I think its awesome that they also sell Mexican candies and a few other items as well. We keep going back for the cheese covered burrito and pecan horchatta so we still have a lot to try!

I was at La Fresa today for the first time. The restaurant is beautiful inside! The desserts are on the left, and on the right side is the register, where you can order, and pay for your food (I say this because I was a little confused 😂) The ENTIRE staff was very polite, warm, and friendly! I felt very much at home. The ice cream choices are endless! They also have mangoneadas which were perfect. I would recommend the barbacoa burrito or tacos al pastor (the burrito is spicy). The crowd is very diverse, different races, nationalities, languages, cultures. This was very refreshing, and probably the best thing for me!! I wish they were a little closer, but I will most definitely continue making the trip over and over. Thank you so much, La fresa! I will be sending my family and friends to you.

This place is amazing. Way better than La Llomas in the same plaza. Their tacos, amazing. The nachos are delicious but the jalapeños are a bit too sweet for me. But by far the quesadilla with chorizo is my favorite. Greasy, cheesy, spicy, all you want in a good quesadilla. They always say Thanks amigo when I leave, and that just adds to the experience. Great place.

Coming from Southern California where there is a huge mexican population and having amazing mexican food everywhere...I was a bit sad that there were not going to be places like that in Ohio BUT this place is exactly what I was hoping for. I got tequila ice cream and it was amazing! Everyone there is super friendly. The flavors are always changing. So we will need to keep going back. We got 5 dishes for $10!

Please go here!!! The service is so sweet and its the best Mexican food in the area. Had a torta al pastor and a hibiscus paleta (popsicle). Both were incredible! The meat in my torta was so tender and the paleta was so refreshing and flavorful. They have so many flavors of paletas to choose from and theyre all homemade and delicious.

Dang. These tacos were awesome. I tried 4 kinds (barbacoa, lengua, chicken and al pastor) and they were fantastic. Im already looking forward to my next trip to continue eating my way through the menu.

Shrimp Fajitas and Chori Pollo were very delicious. We also got some ice cream and I got my wife a Tres Marias for her birthday. All very creamy and amazing.

Was very excited to hear they have menudo on the menu. Me and my husband both got a bowl I got three taco and my husband got a torta. 3 taco are 6.00 the torta was 7.50 pretty reasonable. No!! ! when we went up to pay, the bill was 48.50!!!!!!!!!!!!. That means one bowl of menudo was 22.50! Will never go back.! I didnt ever get a kiss

This is TRUE AUTHENTIC quality food that will satisfy your taste buds, sweet tooth, and stomach. Stopped in for lunch and I can’t wait to go back. I had one of their new specials for lunch, a few tasty samples of flavored drinks, and got a strawberry mango pop for desert. Great, friendly staff, large portions, delicious food.

The popsicles they make are unique and absolutely delicious! Fresh fruits and unusual flavors. These are not the boring twin-pops of your childhood!

Great Tacos

Came here for the very first time tonight and got my order to-go. We got a tamale, 4 corn chicken tacos, 4 flour chicken tacos and an order of steak alambre. Its about a ten minute drive to get the food home and EVERYTHING was SO fresh and hot. The flavor in the meat was absolutely amazing and even my picky husband raved about the food. Cant wait to order this again! Wish I could give this an even higher rating! What an absolutely awesome find!

This place is great! I had the burrito and it was very very tasty especially with the sauce they bring to the table there are 2 one is darker and spicer and the one I loved was lighter, really great flavor. Highly recommend and Will go whenever in area

Had a really good time. We sat down and had a meal and all of us really enjoyed the food. It was delicious and was a good serving size for the price. The lady at the counter was really nice and helpful. Be sure to grab some popsicles. Theyre outrageously good. Definitely recommend

Excellent tacos and quesadillas. This is definitely a place Ill be adding to my regular places to eat. It doesnt look like the greatest place from the outside, but the food is excellent. After great tacos and quesadillas, we also got some ice cream, which was also excellent. There are lots of choices. The only mystery is why they called themsetlslves an ice cream place when they are so much more!

Their popsicles are sooooooo good! I love the spicy pineapple. they have bomb ice cream. delicious snack foods and meals as well. you can tell they put love in what they do

The ice cream selection is great. They have dessert dishes and many flavors that are not traditional in North America. The ice cream is creamy and sweet. The street style tacos and burritos are legendary. Its one of those situations where youll think that it was just okay when youre consuming it, but then several days later youll find yourself craving another. The staff is kind and welcoming the salsa bar is a pleasant surprise.

This place is absolutely amazing. The delicious and decadent flavors bounces around my mouth like kindergartners that had too much sugar. The ice cream was both cold and frozen. I truly felt what love really is after my first bite.

All I can say is Yum. If you like cucumber infused water you need to try it here. It was soooooo good. The food is really really really good too. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it!

Great casual eatery! This was our first time here. We tried a few different tacos, a burrito, guacamole, and horchata. The guacamole was amazing! The shrimp tacos were my favorite, but the pork and chicken were also good. The horchata was a delicious way to end the meal. I highly recommend trying this place.

Fruit waters are delicious. They gave us samples to try. Food was delicious and fresh. We drove 30 minutes to try it and will be back.Great service, friendly staff.

Had to look through comments for haters, I’ve been hating since 73 had one down year at birth. But I can’t hate on this food I usually go to la loma when I come home from Florida not no more. The food is awesome size is great and prices are even better.

We have gotten icecream from there before but not the food. We really wanted to try the food because when we got the icecream we just come from La Lomas and the lady told us we are so much better then them. So we tried it and that was the worst food I have ever had. They gave my husband a hotdog sandwich (torta Cubana) and I got soup ( Chimi changa).my husbands sandwich had 6 hotdogs and the eggs were really nasty. Im calling my food soup because there was so much white queso to drown the bad taste of the baked beans out of a can and the chicken was extremely dry. We are only going to go back for the icecream because its really good and going to la lomas for food.

My sister n law told me about this little place, and their amazing tacos and horchata. It was definitely delicious. Meat was tender and flavorful. Horchata was amazing! Our next visit will definitely include a nice serving of ice cream. If youre looking for somewhere to eat authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

Amazing place, cannot say enough about this place, first the food is amazing, but second the people are even more amazing as they let us watch the Peru-Chile game that went past closing time. Again an amazing experience!

A full Mexican street experience! Get the usual suspects as the kitchen (tacos, burritos, tortas, menudo, etc). Head around the kitchen to try the different agua frescas (basically sugar water with some kind of fruit or veggie so its healthy). Eat, then grab an authentic paleta Michoacan style.

The service, the tacos, the fruit waters....it is all wonderful. Such kind, smiling faces serving amazing tastes.
