Ive personally been going to this Acme since I couldnt even walk, and was put in the cart being pushed by my parents. A little while ago they remodeled the entire store and ever since then the store is 1000x better than it was before all around. Not only is the layout of the store much easier to navigate but it seems like after the remodel the staff remodeled themselves too. I didnt really remember the staff being all that special before but recently I have really noticed that the staff their really really go out of their way to make sure that the customer is satisfied. For example one young gentleman was obviously very busy stocking the shelves and seemed to be in a time crunch but noticed me struggling to reach the top shelf for my item and he came all the way down the aisle just to help me grab my item and then made sure that I didnt need help with anything else and when I didnt he immediately went back to work. I always see the staff working very hard! They are never outside loitering being lazy and making the company look bad, nope. They are always good workers which is proof to me that the management team there is doing a very good job at training their employees. I am very impressed with the remodel and the customer service that I have been receiving there lately! Easily a 5/5⭐

I love this store, but theres too often LONG lines waiting to check out, people lined all the way down aisles. Its my only complaint, but its far too common.

The quality of the produce leaves a lot to be desired. There is also a noticeable difference between this store and the Montrose store and not in a good way. One must wonder why that is.

Always good and always fresh. I grew up with Acme in the greater Wilmington and SE Pennsylvania areas. They came to NE Ohio and we still shopped there in the 70s on up until today. They have expanded their presence in Ohio.

I guess third times a charm. All 3 times I waited in line for approx. 30 minutes. Will not be goung their anymore.

I think her name is Carla & I’m 80% sure she’s a manager & she continuously has an attitude every time I come in & im always seeing her pick on certain employees for no reason & ive over heard her tell a cashier to stop talking to the customers but that’s what we come here for, for groceries & a pleasant interaction . Carla makes me not want to come shop at your store, please check her attitude before I check her after she gets off

Acme is as local as it gets, not only as a locally-owned supermarket chain that carries local farms and vendors but also the commitment to decorating their stores with local art. Plus, their beer selection is among the very best in town, which is true for every location.

Its convenient that its close to home, but the checkout lines always move very slowly.

The store is ok to run in for a few things. But generally the prices are too high; they only had two registers open near closing, so it took a long time to get through. Glad its there though and open till 10. Good place to run in to for stamps too

I have been a loyal customer for many years, yesterday I was incredibly disappointed about lack of response to disruptive, violent customers who engaged in a physical altercation in the store. The manager and security guard were aware and there was no intervention or call made to police (that I am aware of). Guard said when I approached him, “well what do you do, they are brothers “. I felt unsafe and dismissed. My intention with this review is to bring awareness as I hope a change will be made to ensure the safety of customers at this establishment.

Staff is great but there is never enough cashiers. It seems that anytime between 1pm-7pm there will always be a 30min check out line

Called ahead to see if they had a gift card I was looking for. They were cool about checking and I had my answer in no time flat. When I got there, I asked where in the store they were and the cashier happily directed me to the location. I was able to get through the checkout pretty quickly as well. I prefer this Acme location overall.

Store is very clean and it was a quick in and out for me (not the biggest fan of food shopping).

Be prepared to wait an additional 20 minutes to get through checkout. Always long lines and prices are now comparable to Whole Foods.

Produce seems challenged often, this may be due to covid complications. Recently the canned cat food selection has become grim (also may be due to the above mentioned situation)

Went in on 7/31 for 2 items. Used self checkout. It kept saying I scanned item. I looked at the screen and saw only 1 item although I had scanned both. I scanned one item again and it showed up twice. I asked a nearby employee for help and was ignored. I unbagged my items and put them back on the shelves and left. Went to Giant Eagle.

Clean store, decent selection of products, good service. While this is not my normal grocery store, I wouldnt be disappointed if it were. Prices can be slightly higher than other local chains, so I recommend shopping whats on-sale whenever possible.

Rude staff, overcrowded, empty shelves on a Monday. I wish this was an isolated incident, but this location sucks. Baggers dont know how to bag and the cashiers rarely stop yapping with each other long enough to wait on you.

Management is terrible. They never come out of their office to look at the store activity. 15 deep at the registers with only 3 registers open. No self checkout. No bags in the produce department and the meat counter is closed. Just another Saturday at ACME😑

Being a local classic, Acme is loved by many local people, however after a decade in the Akron area I cannot think of a single reason why I would go back. It is way overpriced, taking advantage of local neighborhoods and its residents who cannot afford to travel to larger stores/options further away. Marks up its prices drastically with the guise of saving with their card only to still be way more expensive than any other comparable establishment. Prices of products in stores in lower income areas are higher than those in better off neighborhoods. These mark ups take advantage of people on public assistance and devalue their buying power ultimately giving them less for more all at no expense (but profit!!) to the store. Customers are basically unable to shop there without hassle if you do not have their card. Any other store you just skip the savings, here you cannot use self check out without one. Overall, the staff is polite and friendly. However the shirt and ties cant hide the fact that Acmes are overpriced and its staff underpaid. The only thing they are still able to sell is being your local neighborhood grocer.

This Acme has a security guard and usually has some questionable type customers that make one feel a little uneasy. Other than that its a typical Acme.

I shop there because I have $25.00 gift card. These store is clean and price is good, I goes there once in a while.

I have found the shelves not stocked yo satisfaction. I came in twice in 1 wk and product still not available even after checking with customer service. My overall opinion is that Acme 1 is losing their quality (meat) cuts and products.

Its not that I hated the place. Its just they dont keep things sanitized and clean. There carts are outside and not sanitized. They dont have one way aisles. And you enter and exit through the same door not safe. On the other hand I shoped at giant eagle they are very clean and sanitized. There carts are inside. They have one way aisles you go in one door and out the other door. I feel very safe.

Its a nice acme. The organization is a little bit questionable but they always have a decent stock of things to buy. As long as you look at the isle signs you should be able to find everything your looking for without too much trouble.

The lay out is a little odd. A lot of the prices are high. The sales ad have the good deals. Fall beer already out! Nice selection of wine.

The last few times I was there they have been out of several (over 10) items. They are not items that have been scarce due to covid either.. Im not sure what the reason is, but it gets very frustrating. I understand that sometimes there are outages beyond their control, but seems to be happening more often.

They have a small selection and the cash register lady made me feel weird because I dont have an ACME Card. Whatever it was open late and if I go late again I will go back there.

Always clean. The organization takes a few tries to get used to. The checkout lines are normally pretty long, but they have a great variety of products, and their bakery items are always tasty.

I like shopping local when I can but Acmes prices make it difficult sometimes. It is at least a clean place, well staffed, and they have a complete liquor section.

I was in there Acme Clicks Grocery Store to buy a pack of cigarettes. While I was there asked for an extra bag to put some losing lottery tickets. The manager behind the counter asked me what I had the tickets and I politely told her I get rewards through Ohio Lottery website for 2nd chance drawings and prizes.She said dont go digging in our trash cans for tickets.I never made any mention of getting lottery tickets out of trash recepticles nor did I ask to go in their trash to pick out tickets I said What gave you the idea I was going to go digging in your trash for anything. I told her that was a rude thing to say to a customer. She shrugged like she didnt care and I swore I would never shop there again

Fast lines, huge beer/wine selection. Good produce, Deli/pre-made food selections. Prices are high. If I only had the time to go to one store it would be this one.

More open layout than other Acme stores making navigation easier. 420 friendly as there is a POWERFUL odor of cannabis coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time and no one seems to mind.

This is a good grocery store, has decent variety on various products. Over all this is the main place I shop. They have relatively reduced some of their variety of flavors of sauces or more obscure spices/varieties of things they once carried which is why I started shopping there, but overall it is still better than most.

Very nice store.

Acme always seems to have the variations (ice cream flavors, pasta shapes, etc.) that bigger chains are missing. They also seem to have more local produce and nice seasonal items. The community vibe with the aisles named after local streets is cute also. All employees have always been very helpful and polite.

Lines on a sat night are ridiculous. I drove here from Kenmore to avoid the lines at east Ave acme to run in to a worse nightmare. The check out lines mirrored the lines at a Bruno Mars concert.

Never have to wait in line long and most sale items at front of the store.

Its 9:20 and all self checkouts are closed, lines backed up into the isles and two of the slowest cashiers I have ever seen. This is a joke. A bad horrible stupid joke. I want to go home not stand here! This is why I avoid this place and stick to 365.

I earned $3 rewards that I was not expecting. I also saved a good amount of money on 4 items that I purchased.

Would rate it zero if I could. Only a couple lanes open and it took us 30 minutes to get one person through the line because no one would help the cashier. This acme is the worst do not go here. The managers here take no accountability and are the worst.

Great store but their saving card will not work. had to apply twice when my first one wouldnt work now Ive had this for about 2 months and every time I go in it doesnt work. Other than that I have no complaints.

It seems like every other time I used to visit, I had a bad experience. I live about 2 minutes from here but only ever go to the Whole Foods right nearby, the Mustard Seed in Highland Square, or the Giant Eagle in Fairlawn. Save your time and your sanity, dont go to this Acme.

Acme 1 refused to refund a purchase..my granddaughter brought the wrong frozen chicken and within 5 minutes after purchase mgr. Brett refused the return as it was perishable food. I believe its wrong.. There is no written and posted policies on receipts or in store. Be cautious shopping Acme 1. They dont care about customer satisfaction. Disappointed and Ill never shop there again.
