This is honestly my favorite GameStop location. I come here quite a bit and most of the people who work here recognize my fiance and I. They are always excited to talk to us about news on the things we are interested in. They make a real effort to make a connection and make you feel like youre visiting a friend when youre stopping in. Always are happy to help us with any questions about products or most gameplay! Even when it gets busy and wait times get a little longer, they are very kind and make sure to let you know whats going on and that they will help you asap!

Very lovely staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. CoVid practices were very well maintained. The store was immaculate. This is my favorite Game Stop location. ❤

Id love to support GameStop and be one to help keep physical copy game sales alive, but there are times I come out of some GameStops not wanting to go back. Two of the best GameStops to go to are off the I76 Kent exit and the one in Salem. The employees at the location in Green and Arlington ridge are typically rude, try to deny returns of figures even if they havent been opened and you have your receipt showing its been less than 30 days, or they just come across as disinterested in speaking to you. So I guess its all about the employee interaction you get. If they wanted to make buying and selling used games more of a part of their business again, theyre going to need to start lowering the price of their used games as you can find better prices digitally. Trade in values also need improvement. Making some money is better than making no money but I guess the company hasnt caught on to that yet.

This Game Stop used to be the best and now it’s the worst! It has gone down hill fast.. terrible customer service. Management is rude to long time customers.. you’d never see that before. They need to take a good hard look at retraining their sales staff to value and appreciate the people who continue to shop there. They do have many other choices.

As a frequent shopper at this location, I have nothing but good to say. The employees are always super friendly and helpful, without being pushy. Plus, the store is always clean and well organized.

The guy working at the store was a champ! Was by himself with a constant line, people calling in on the phone, welcoming customers, and answering their questions. Talk about multitasking! He also did all this with a great and helpful attitude. I believe his name was Matt and he deserves a raise, or at least a pat on the back and a gold star.

The staff is overall completely Friendlys could be. They knew where everything was in the store anything I asked for they knew where it was and what the price was on it. I was walking with a smile and shown directly where I needed to go and then left alone to shop. They even had games therefore when I was a kid. Its always nice to have a good throwback its always nice to have a good throwback to my days of gaming out with my friends. They also have a wide variety of really cool little toys and accessories for the games. I would absolutely without a doubt recommend this store to any gamer in the world

Never a bad experience when I come to this game stop. I enjoy the employees and the selection. My son (he is 5) was actually talked to more than i was. Makes me happy when people take some time to address the young ones and make them feel like they matter. Figurines have kind of taken over the store though. If you looking for a great place to get games and pick up your favorite Pop! or vinyl figurine, this the place to go.

They sale and buy all kinds of different video games and usually have some of the games you cant find anywhere else. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are decent. Would recommend.

Expect to be rudely cut off mid sentence with a completely off base answer to a simple question you havent asked yet, followed by two more incorrect answers once you do ask it. The great selection and prices make up for the rare breed that work here. I dont think they get out much.

Very rude employees

Not as big a selection as other gaming stores Ive visited. The staff was not the greatest. One of the female staffers made a comment that i found inappropriate regarding my christian faith, but she didnt know that Im christian and it wasnt done out of spite. The other staff seemed distracted and busy despite not many people in the store, but overall i felt they tried to help us the best they could. Good prices on used equipment.

Always trying to upsell. Its impossible to just buy a game and leave without saying no to 5 additional offers. Better off buying games online.

The guys here were fantastcally helpful. I carried my eight month old in to take advantage of a sale, and was offered assistance as soon as the store manager noticed I had a sleeping baby in my arms. After I had made my purchases, another team member even helped me load the car. Awesome service Gamestop!

The guy working was very polite.. Nothing at the store really interests me. The prices dont really seem competitive. The closeout collector items still seemed steep.

These guys are good at what they do. Always helpful and focused and helping you as a customer, giving you the best deal and bang for your buck.

I called this store and was put on hold for a little over five minutes which is fine. When the person came back I started to say that I had a xbox one to trade that didnt turn on and asked if they take them in for trade. The employee said no and hung up on me. I found out later that I could have turned it in and would have been given trade credit. I have tried to contact gamestop through Corp, Facebook, Twitter, and now here, with no solution.

Some of the best deals on games I have ever seen. Traded in a bunch of DS games for almost 200 dollars! I was able to get super cool shirt from their clearance section, as well as some cool Ps4 games that I wanted. I dont understand any of the hate for that place.

Only gave a 1 star because 0 stars is not an option.I will never go to this location. My husband and I took our 5 year old into this location to get a new Wii sensor. He had been waiting all week to get it. He was beyond excited.We get there and a gentleman immediately greeted us and asked if we needed anything. We explained we are looking for a Wii sensor, a controller and a few games. He took us to the section. As he was looking around fumbling to locate a sensor because he wasnt really sure what we were talking about, my husband actually found one himself. The employee needed a key to get the sensor, he got it and said hed have to keep it at the front counter. So then he came back and did the same for our controller. By this time my little boy was GLOWING, he was so excited. About 15 minutes after that, as we were looking at games... another female employee came up to ask if my name was Sherry. I said no, and thought that was odd, but didnt think much into it. So about 20 minutes after we found the sensor (only 5 minutes asking if I was sherry) our son picked out his games and we head up to pay, we were informed that a lady just called a few minutes ago and put the sensor on hold so we would not be able to purchase it. As my husband and I stand there with our son, they tell us that we can go to the Howe road location or the Canton location. They said it is what it is, sorry for that. My husband and I were in shock and left. As we get to the car and are driving down the road... our son in the back seat is sobbing. We had been telling him all week that wed get him his sensor Friday. I looked at my husband and said, this is NOT right, we have to go back. We get back to the store and ask to speak to a manager. Again the guy apologizes and tells us that he will call and reserve the sensor at the Howe Ave location. We explained that we shouldnt have to drive all the way to Cuyahoga Falls. That we were in the store and found the sensor way before the lady even called, the gentleman pulled it off the shelf for us, put it up at the counter and he still said well the lady called, youll have to go somewhere else to get it. The manager began to blame the gentleman that helped us originally saying he was new and didnt know better. We explained it doesnt matter if hes new or not... that is just not how things should work. It should be first come first serve. Even if the lady called yesterday to reserve the sensor (which, they even said she JUST called) they did not pull it and it was on the shelf. Either way, they screwed up royally. We were there in person, found the sensor ourselves, asked for the sensor so that we could purchase it. The manager finally told us that hed go in the back to look to see if he had another one. He did and charged us full price for it. We get it home and IT DOESNT WORK! So yet again, here we are with our sons excitement shot down the drain. The manager went and got us a used, broken sensor just to get rid of us and got our sons hopes up once again only to be crushed again by negligence!!! Never in my life have I ever ran into this situation! Terrible!!!!!!

This team is always friendly and helpful i dont know much about gaming i was shopping for a friend of mine- whatta cool place. They have lots of merch and a busy store but i never felt crowded or uncomfortable as i normally would in. Such a pooular location. I would say that game stop is easily the best shop in the plazza

This was a ok store but got WorseI preorder destiny 2 and the expansion pass from here and paid for everything And the code for the expansion pass all they did was give me the money to buy it from the Xbox store not The expansion like I was told that was purchasing then they forgot to put the tax for the expansion pass and I was short on paying for it so I could get it and the manager tried to charge me again for it I am no longer coming to this game stop the manager is the one that messed it all up and now he’s trying to blame me like I did something wrong and try to get more money for me after I paid and had my receipt to show him that I got charged tax for everything and he still didn’t do it right don’t waste of money at this GameStop

When it comes to equipment knowledge, the Arlington Ridge Game Stop in Green ROCKS!! They take the time and make sure you leave with NO unanswered questions!!!

Every time I walk into this store, I am taken aback by a pungent smell. I’m not sure if it’s employee body odor or it’s the store it’s self. I’m not a huge fan of GameStop pricing either.

Game stop hires for the demographic of people they want to work/shop in the store. So basically if your anything other than a white guy going to this location expect a bunch of nonsensical charges. Like refurbish charges on a brand new game. Or even completely ignored in the store. Its sad when other gamestops in the akron/Kent area acknowledges that this particular game stop has an issue with its minority shoppers. Between the rude workers who most of the time have no clue about games or anything comming out and the hostile atmosphere I cant recommended any person to shop at this store.

Better places to buy games other than gamestop. Make sure to check your cases and receipts, because they will try to rip you off.
