This place is awesome! They weren’t pushy about sales, they had a lot of options, they fixed my tire on my bike and even gave me some really great advice about bike care/hardware upgrades. I really enjoyed my experience and have already referred a few others here.

Took my newly self assembled bike to this shop because i just could not understand why it wasnt working properly. The gentleman i spoke with took a quick look at it and immediately broke down what things needed to be adjusted and how. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I left my bike with them (about 11:30 a.m.) and it was finished same day around 2:30 p.m. Very reasonably priced. I will definitely go back for any and all bike needs.

Ryan and the crew at Dirty River know what a bike shop really should be. None of this silly fluff. Fair prices and lots of help. Not one sneer or sideways glance even when asking noob questions. This place is the bees knees. They have tons of stuff in stock bikes, bag, tires, anything you need. I do you need a frame? They got it. My girlfriend and I both bought frames, they switched all my Hardware to the new frame with ease. They custom built a bike for my girlfriend thats phenomenal. I would like to thank everybody at Dirty River.

The owner gave me a hand selecting a product that could help me keep hydrated and sugar levels up through long endurance activities. He really knew his stuff. The other employees were also knowledgeable and never pushy.Im looking forward to this being my go-to bicycle shop. They do frequent rides from the shop into the Cuyahoga Valley because they are just feet away from major bike paths.This is a small business you can feel good supporting.

Ryan from Dirty River saved us on our long ride from Cleve to Cbus! Our bikes took a beating on a rainy day on the towpath, and he came in to work early and not only changed out all our brakes, but hooked our bikes up with all necessary repairs. His kindness and generosity was a gift to us on this journey. Highly recommend!

Had a custom bike build last year with Dirty River and the bike was perfect for me (see pic).! After 3000 plus miles and two biking trips planned for the following weeks, rear derailleur broke so I went and saw Otis. Went out of his way to quickly put on new chain, cassette and rear derailleur so I could have my bike for the trips. Awesome bike shop, awesome people who work there, but most importantly, real bike guys who are real bike experts, unlike many other places. Would highly recommend to anyone buying, building or maintaining a bike.

Almost every bike shop seems to share one thing in common: surly, often condescending mechanics and employees. Not sure if its part of bike shop culture? Fortunately, Dirty River Bikes is nothing like that. Ryan, the owner, has created something truly special in the heart of Akron: a kind and inclusive community of splorers, cycling enthusiasts who use the shop as a base for their adventures. Whats more, Ryan is a super-competent mechanic and has impeccable taste in bikes and all manner of bike gear, including clothes. Five stars. I wish there were as many Dirty River Bike shops as there are Eddys.

Please support you local bike shop! I wont go to anyone else in the Akron area for service or hopefully soon a bike. These guys take the time with every bike like its their own and make sure its perfect before leaving the front door. Ive never had a negative experience with them and always take the opportunity to inform new cyclists about them. Plus, the new store is awesome!

Thank you so much to the guys at Dirty River Bicycle Works for fixing my daughters tricycle. It was heavily damaged during a recent cross-country move (by a moving company) and needed repair. I had no way to transport the trike, so they picked up and delivered the trike with a minimal charge. I appreciate the work done to make sure my special needs daughter can have some fun again!

This is hands down the best bike shop in NEO. They dont just sell you a bike, you will walk out with your dream ride. I went in looking for the wrong setup and learned that I was better suited for a different style and am a 1000 times happier than before. Everybody that works there is rad and they will treat you more like a friend than a customer. Whether you are a pro or a weekend warrior these guys know their stuff and will get you on some sweet wheels. Dont go anywhere else. This is the real deal full on Local Bike Shop experience right here. Be warned though, my life is slowly spiraling out of control because I cant stop riding my new bike and have time for little else.

Went in with blown tire expecting to pick bike up in a day or two. It was repaired in 15 minutes- and they were busy with other customers as well.

A little hard to find and parking is insane! Dont park on the Luigi side, go to back side of building and hike up the 4 levels of stairs if you are physically able. Great bicycle shop! I came in looking for a new bike. I told Ryan what I was looking for and he suggested something that I thought was totally not what I wanted - until I rode it. Everything I wanted from my new bike! 750 miles on it and I still love riding it.Theres a great selection of a variety of bikes. Lots of unique stuff that you dont find at the bigger bike shops around. Definitely worth a look whether youre on a budget or looking for something high-end.Very low pressure shop, too. I didnt feel like I was being up-sold like Ive felt at a few other places (Eddys). Theyre definitely bike nerds and are really interested in getting people out riding on something they enjoy.I took my 10 year old Cervelo road bike in for a tune up, and it came back looking and riding like new. They really paid attention to detail and did a thorough job.

Professional, Knowledgeable and Friendly. I stopped in today to look at a few gravel style bikes. I was truly impressed with how knowledgeable these guys were. I ended up buying a bike the same day and could not be happier!
