They have a great selection and the staff is super friendly! No uppity bike shop vibes here. I stopped in just to grab a water bottle last minute and they let me fill it up and pumped up my tires. Will be back!

I got my bike from Blimp City and couldnt be happier! After the purchase, I went back for a bike rack and Michael, the owner, meticulously took the time to ensure the right rack for my vehicle. They were extremely busy but he took the time to explain everything to me about bike rack safety as he placed the rack on my vehicle. All the employees are TOP NOTCH! What a great shop!

I stopped in for a minor adjustment while passing by on the towpath trail, saw that they were super busy with other customers and said don’t worry about it - they went out of their way to assist me and Josh (?) kindly and patiently helped me with my issue. Everyone there was so happy to help. Outstanding customer service! It’s experiences like this that help reaffirm my faith in humanity.

Very satisfied with our experience there. We came in looking for a specific bike from their website, which understandably had a wait list given the shortages. Not only did they go out of their way to make sure the bike was available by calling their wait list while we were in the store, but also assembled it from the box in 30 minutes for us to take home that day. Super personable and attentive owner and staff that definitely deserve your business!

Amazing staff, went above and beyond what I expected! Rode my bike about 4 miles on tires that were kinda low on air, went to the shop expecting to buy a frame pump, pump up my tires myself in the parking lot and be on my way. Instead, they had me bring my bike in to install the pump for me, realized I didnt have the screws on my bike (I have a backpack with me on my rides so no big deal at all, Ill just keep the pump in there), so they pumped up my tires for me in the shop and as they were taking my bike out the front door realized my front breaks needed fixed, took a couple minutes to adjust some stuff and breaks and tires were all good to go! Rode another 5 miles after I left, will be going here for all my bike needs from now on!

Bike tire got flat in the middle of my ride and Blimp City was the closest place. They were the kindest people and fixed my bike quickly for a very good price. I can’t express how thankful I am that Blimp City helped me get home safe!

Blimp City Bike & Hike is absolutely fantastic! Andy did a fantastic job installing bar end shifters on my old bike and Michael is super helpful and knowledgeable.They run a very friendly, relaxed (but professional) bike shop no matter your experience level or the fanciness of your bike if its old (like mine are). No bike store snobbery here (like I feel subjected to at some other shops)!Their prices for equipment and bicycles are often better than on Amazon and online and you can rest assured your money will go towards supporting a valuable local resource. There is zero sales pressure from either of them if you just want to browse, but they are also happy to provide you with as much information as you want. A perfect combination!As of the writing of this review their bikes are on a 20% off sale! So thats MY little independent sales pitch for them! I cant stress enough how much I hope this independent bike shop survives.

What a great local bike shop. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, theres easy parking and a flat entrance so you can wheel your bike in, and Herbert the dog is adorable and welcoming. I just got an $80 tuneup and they did such a thorough job. Cleaned all the rust off, fixed a braking issue that baffled all my bike friends, and returned it to me looking as good as the day I bought it. I highly recommend this place. Also worth mentioning that they support local nonprofits through events and stuff. Top notch.

These guys are the real deal and I can’t recommend more. I had a severely bent disc brake rotor and it was so bad I was assuming it needed to be completely replaced. I brought it by Blimp City and they agreed it was pretty bad. However, they were willing to look at it. Not only did they look, but they went out of their way to look at it then so I wouldn’t have to uber around. Within 10 minutes the brake was miraculously fixed and functional. excellent knowledge, and connection to the customer and prices. I’ll definitely be back for future bike needs.

These guys are awesome. My wife and I rented a tandem for the day so we could bike through the park. We had a blast; the bike was stellar. Herbert (the daschund) makes the place feel like youre right at home. Would absolutely recommend doing business with Blimp City Bike & Hike.

Mike was fantastic to work with! I was extremely impressed by their ethics in how they treated their customers, and how they seemed to absolutely love what they were doing. The shop itself is chock full of bikes for every type of biker, from the once a summer hobbyist to the cyclist who never leaves the road except to go to Blimp City.

Be Aware of the differences between the sweet look and pretentious attitude of the owner and hiding of the facts about return policy of the vendors, and extra charges the shop makes, etc. You would be much better off ordering the items on line-after you have made your selection. This shop still lives in 19th century when the customers did not have much choice. BE AWARE!!

Great experience both renting and eventually purchasing. Blimp City stood out to me in both the options available to try and the personalized service that got me on the trail with my buddy in less than an hour with many accessories installed.

Super helpful staff and amazingly priced rentals!

I was biking on the towpath trail down from Cleveland. My pedal came loose about 6 miles out of downtown Akron. They helped me fix it and didnt charge for the nut they found for me. Cant say enough good things. Dont know what I wouldve done without them. Awesome people!

Purchased a 2013 bike from them at the beginning of the summer of 2013. Theyve helped me from what others might call a tedious tire-fill to choosing accessories, tuning up my bike, and fixing up my spare mountain bike I picked up at a garage sale. Meanwhile, Ive biked about 300 miles after biking (maybe) 50 miles my whole life. Theyre patient and helpful experts with a friendly attitude and I wouldnt go anywhere else -- especially after buying a cheapo tire pump last year from one of the brand-name stores downtown. Blimp City Bike & Hike sells quality products with top-notch customer service to back it up!

My brother and I were both looking for a gravel bike. We visited 5 local bike shops in the area and not only did we find our favorite bike here, we LOVED the service provided by Michael and Andy. There is no pressure and they have a really nice place to test ride the bikes. They night we picked up our bike, they were supporting a local charity by giving away a few bikes.

The guys are just fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable. If you need anything for your booking needs go here first. Tried someplace else and boy did I regret it. They fixed out and did so much better than the other guys.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions and helped me find all the parts I was looking for even though I had no idea what they were called. Lol. Great experience I would recommend! Also their prices were much lower on the items I was looking for than any of the surrounding bike shops.

I bought a Kona Dew Plus for my husband back in November. Hes been using it for a daily commute to work. Blimp City has been great. The Kona was their suggestion They also did some repair on his six year old Fuji. It is running better than ever. Blimp City was great at finding us the right bike rack for the car and finding us a suitable resistance trainer. The discounts they offered us it made easier on the wallet. Really, they are a nice family with a wonderful little dog that greets all the incoming customers.

Literally turned down business due to being too pretentious about what brand of bike they want to work on.

I will preface this review by noting everyone there has been very nice every time Ive gone.The biggest problem is they are not organized. Here are my experiences the few times Ive used them for repairs or maintenance:My wifes tire went flat. We dropped off the bike. They said they would call in a few days when it was ready. They never called so we had to call them a week later.Picked up the bike. The first time she rode it immediately went flat again. We took it down. They had not replaced some tire lining the first time. Have to chock that one up to sloppiness.My bike is in good shape despite being 10 years old. I wanted to have the tires and tubes checked since they are original to the bike. I dropped off the bike, telling them I was concerned about the tires/tubes and wanted to make sure the bike was in good shape otherwise. They said they would look it over and call me in about 3-4 days with maintenance recommendations. Nobody ever called.A week later I called them to ask about my bike. Their slip says I was called. I never was. They went ahead and performed a routine tuneup on the bike having never talked with me. They said the tires and tubes were fine.When I went to pick up the bike, which was now several weeks after I initially dropped it off since I was busy, it took them a few minutes to locate the bike in the store. Have not ridden the bike yet to test it out.They need to review their workflow and organizational efficiency. Again, nice folks, but they seem overwhelmed with actually running the shop.

Last year my family and I were riding the trail, and my chain fell off and got locked into my gears. It just happened to be right in front of Blimp City 10 minutes after they opened. They worked on my bike immediately and for longer than we expected, it was really stuck! The guys were great, service excellent.

I am 100% unsatisfied with their service. I paid for a tune up and got my bike back 3 weeks later, and was shifting worse than when I dropped ot off. I did not want to wait another 3 weeks so I took it to another shop in Medina (Spin) and he instantly said my cable was bas bed and hanger was bent, I would think that would have been diagnosed originally but was not. And only charged me a third of what blimp city did, and I had my bike back same day

I had repeated problems with the installation of tires but they stepped up to the plate and credited my account for the latest charge. UPDATE I received a phone call from them a few weeks ago insisting I was JUST in their store and they were following up. I explained that it was a year ago when we last engaged and after being asked, are you sure? I just laughed an hung up.
