I can’t comment on the actual mattress yet because I just ordered it over the phone. I can however comment on the exceptional customer service provided by Max. He answered all of my questions (there were quite a few) and I felt comfortable enough to order, what I hope to be the bed of my dreams. I’ve had two back surgeries so I’m looking for the perfect bed that will allow me to get a good nights rest. I’m looking forward to receiving my new mattress and just know that I’m not going to be disappointed.

Purchased an Air Pedic 800 recently. Our salesman Gerald was a true professional. He was very knowledgeable about his products and his competition and was able to explain the differences and guide us to the right mattress. We are looking forward to our delivery and a good nights sleep.

My husband and I purchased an Eastern King Size Air-Pedic 700 Mattress in November 2017 from SelectaBed Mattress. Weve had it for over 3 years and absolutely love it. NO problems and no complaints. It replaced a coil mattress that we had for 10 years. I always woke up with a sore back from it, so we researched for a different type of mattress. Our Air-Pedi has six air chambers, which helps support upper, lower & lumbar areas. We have dual controls, so I can have a firm support and my husband can choose a less firm support. The air pump is not large & very quiet. The controls have a memory code, so if you need to readjust the levels of support (one for upper and lower, and one for lumbar area), the control can remember your last adjustment. Simply hold the memory tab on the control and hold it for 3 flashing lights. Your adjustment is saved! We also purchased CozyCloud memory foam pillows, which are washable. Its the best pillow I have ever used!

My experience at the store was outstanding. My salesperson was Gerald. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of their inventory. He had excellent interpersonal skills, a great listener and patient. These qualities led him to making suggestions for me as to what beds I should consider based on the I information I shared with him. I did significant research on adjustable beds and had visited other manufacturers before going to Select A Bed. Needless to say, after such a positive experience with Gerald and t6he quality of their products that Imade in the USA, I purchased my bed from them.This place is amazing. I LOVE our new Air-Pedic and Flex-USA™ Elite Adjustable Bed! I ordered the split king so my husband and I could have separate controls. We’ve slept on it over 60 nights and I now have no back pain. I suffered for years not having a good night sleep and had chronic back pain. I tried different types of mattresses that all seamed to wear out quickly, so am so happy to have found this company. I will recommend to anyone who will listen that this is the First and ONLY company to call when looking for a bed. This is the place to shop for a mattress! Their customer service is superb! They will accommodate any need you may have. We have been extremely happy with our mattress. It also helps a lot when the owner is a chiropractor and helps you pick out the perfect mattress especially if you have back issues. It is family owned and when you walk in youre made to feel like family. What a great place!

We knew we needed a new mattress, but my wife and I sort of randomly stopped by this store while we waited for another appointment in the area and we are glad we did. The store manager, Gerald, was excellent at being a consultant rather than a salesman. He took his time with us and after we narrowed our choice down to a couple mattresses, he suggested that we come back another time when we could spend at least 20-30 min lying on each bed to help make our choice. We did just that and now we are excited for our new bed!

When you contact Selectable you need to ask for Gerald. Gerald was awesome. He is truly knowledgeable about the Air-Pedic 850 and gives you all the detail about what bed should buy. He listened to what I needed and gave me his recommendations. I really like the three chambers in the bed better than the Sleep Number. I can wait until I received my 850 Air-Pedic bed. Update 4/19/2021After writing the original review I was contacted by the SelectaBed general manager. I discussed with him the issues I was experiencing with both the mattress and the customer representative that I was working with. I was quickly transferred to another representative who was very attentive and worked with me to better my experience with the AirPedic mattress. An additional layer was sent for us to evaluate which IMO improved my comfort.Although my wife and I decided that this was not the mattress for us and returned it, SelectaBed worked with us well and hence this update and increase to my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. This mattress definitely has some very nice features...Original post:I thought is was strange that I was encouraged to review my experience for the Air-Pedic 850 bed right after purchasing and before delivery. But I did and rated them well because the buying process as very good and the sales representative was very helpful and responsive. It took quite a while for the bed to be manufactured and shipped.When the bed did arrive, the box for the mattress was severely beat up and falling apart, although the contents were undamaged. The packaging was risky at best. The air pump and other hardware arrived a week or so ahead of the mattress and base. The air pump was shipped by UPS or FedEx, dont really remember, and the bed was shipped by Saia trucking company.When I started to assemble the bed, there were no instructions for be found, either in the air pump box, with the mattress or on their website. Poking around and finally watching a promotional video, we got it install correctly, but did not know that until just recently when I finally received some instructions a couple of months later and after asking a few times. Important setups, calibration and usage steps were missed.There are few things that I feel are issues with this bed and have been trying to work them out with the service department. They have been very unresponsive, not responding for weeks at a time and then when they do, they make statements/promised that they dont keep.I am ready to send it back for a full refund, but when I try, they try to offer help with a canned response and fail to make contact again. Wow, I do not like companies that do not respond in good faith with their customers.Ill rate the bed as pretty good although needs some tweaks for me, the controls as temperamental and not what they should be in this day and age, and customer service as very poor and unresponsive. Not a happy customer. Proceed with your order understanding what lies ahead...

We needed to replace our 12 year old sleep number bed. Looking at options we decided on Air-pedic. Luckily, I got Gerald when I called and he helped me decide what model would be best based on the Sleep# model we currently had. After researching a variety of air mattresses (online only Companies as well as going into stores). I found that the competitors would only speak to the similarities and differences for the Sleep Number bed. When I asked about other competitors the only person that was knowledgeable about all of the competitors was Gerald. He was patient, never pressured us into buying and made my husband and my decision to purchase from him very easy.

It was a little difficult to get to, but the salesman was very good and informative about the beds.

Excellent customer service at the Thousand Oaks store. Special thanks to Gerald who introduced us to the bed of our choice and even took part of it apart to satisfy my curiosity of how it worked. He also followed up on my emails after our visit for some follow up questions I had and after deciding on the bed we wanted I was able to purchase the bed over the phone in minutes. Needed a mattress since I was moving. I went to a competitors store and noticed the SelectABed next door. I wasnt planning to visit there, but Im glad I did. Gerald was very helpful and showed me several models. Its great that the beds have a good warranty and that theyre made locally.

Nice, clean showroom. Easy to find and had various mattress selection. If you have any doubt about purchasing an air mattress, visiting the showroom will definitely help you decide. Excellent service! We were worried about buying a new mattress online, so we came in to test them out. Stephanie was very patient and answered all of our questions. We liked the large selection of different types of mattresses they had. It definitely made our decision easier. Prices were compatible to what we found online. They have a 4 month money back sleep trial, which basically made the purchase risk free.

We had a great experience with Gerald last year when we purchased our Queen air bed. So we wanted to get a new King bed to replace the Sleep# split King we bought in 2007. We went to look there again and came home and just put our order in for the new Air-Pedic 850 with its wonderful optional Airflow Transfer System, worth the upgrade. The bed was not comfortable to me because of severe spinal damage to my back; however, the General Manager worked with me to resolve my issues. My husband absolutely loved the bed.

We just made our second order for the opulence mattress to put in a guest room. We have been sleeping on ours for a few years and still love it. I flip it every two months as recommended and have had no problems. It did take some time to break in- so be patient. We almost returned our first order but thankfully another mattress store representative gave up his sale with the advice to just give it more time. He also told me to try putting a heated blanket on top to break it in faster- we didnt do that, but thought it might be a good idea to share. I hope our guests and children enjoy the mattress as much as we do!

Went another Store and bought a mattress. Was not pleased with it and wanted to return it. before we did we visited the SelectaBed Store. It was great. No pressure from the Sales person like we had at the previous store. Found a perfect mattress for us and the rest is history.You should really try this store before going anywhere else.

I love that their store and factory are located close by in Agoura Hills. We bought 2 twin memory foam mattresses and theyre awesome.Now were ready to buy a king size and we were interested in an airbed type air mattress and heard about Sleep Number, but we really liked that their Air system would allow us to control the low back zone separately, so we are ordering their Airpedic for us. The show room is bright and clean and the sales staff were very knowledgeable.

My husband and I really enjoyed visiting the show room and talking to the staff. We have been corresponding with several sales people for about 4 months now. They were wonderful at explaining the different bed options that may help my bulging disk issues. Since we live 6 hours away we went to a sleep number store to explore that option. But once we visited the showroom a week ago, we knew these were the beds to get! We chose the 900 Airpedic and are very excited to get it. The materials of these beds are great and of excellent quality. I really loved the extra adjustment that can be made in the Lombard area. Huge difference for me! I laid on the bed for a long time to be sure that was the one for us. The store was nice and the staff and sales people took their time to help us find the right bed. They were not in a hurry to rush us out and answered all of our questions along the way. They really work with you to see what will be the best for the customer. They are not high pressure at all! We left deciding to think about it a few days and get back to them. No problem at all. We called them up and ordered the bed and now cant wait to get it! Great Place!

Did a lot of research - Went with the Selectabed product as it has more chambers, more features & a better warranty. I personally was able to visit the factory/showroom of SelectaBed. Not only did l like reviewing several models, but my visit confirmed the accuracy of the salesperson description of their products. I was comfortable with my telephone understanding, but actually finding her description were accurate.I am now a proud owner of a 6 air compartment adjustable bed-the most flexible in due to the 6 air adjustable compartments on the market . The nice surprise is that each side of the bed had a digital read out that simply showed the number of hardness or softness. The other side also had an independent control--No Extra Cost for the two digital remote controls.Another nice surprise: SelectABed came out and set up the bed (wow). Another benefit was a free air flow mattress that help control temperature for an overheated person as well as a cold bodied persons temperature. I tend to generate a lot of body heat wherein I toss and turn several time a nite. With my new SelectaBed, that problem is now resolved.Another nice surprise, I need additional height, they gave me a 7 metal bed frame to provide me with the additional height--No Charge. In my case, due to medical problems, I also purchase a bed support unit that provided a strong wood base since I did not have a box spring mattress or support unit. This unit gave me another 10-11 inches in height. The important thing here is I was given several options to determine what height would work best for my medical condition.SelectaBed offers one of the best warranties in the adjustable softness/hardness industry. The longevity of these beds also far outlast a regular mattress with the ability to upda/modify at later time.I personally like the mattress with a low foam due to my preference for a minimal sinking into a foam mattress and my overheating problem. I tried three of the starter models to determine which was best for me.Lastly, the sales person, over the phone, was very accurate in her description of the different models and the types of softness and hardness one can expect.I would definitely give the model of choice a try--I believe I have 3-4 months to return the product--Try before You buy.

After replacing traditional mattresses every 7 years or so, I wanted to invest in one that would last longer. Sleep Number was my first stop but I wasnt sold on their product or their price. Online research introduced me to Selectabed and the excellent ratings enticed me to purchase their SN equivalent. The price and customer service had me hooked. When the mattress arrived with minor shipping damage, Selectabed customer service gladly replaced it at no cost to me. The mattress is one of the most comfortable weve ever had!I wholeheartedly recommend Selectabed and the Air-Pedic 500 mattress!
