If you are looking for a high quality upholstery professional, look no further. For context, we have a new to us 2014 Monterey 264 FSX which was in near mint condition except that the stitching on our horizontal cushions was failing. The vertical cushions still looked brand new and had all of the Monterey logos, so we really didnt want to mess with them. As such, I was looking for someone who could reupholster only the horizontal cushions but match it exactly to the vertical cushions and duplicate the factory colors, textures and stitching patterns.Given our requirements, we were very nervous that we might end up with mismatched vertical / horizontal cushions or a reupholster job that was obviously after-market. We were after as near a factory finish as possible.Time after time, the shops I talked to tried to talk me into a full job or out of the original stitching pattern, etc. In other cases, I just couldnt get comfortable that we would get the level of quality we were after. I was starting to lose hope when I found Jeff @ Marietta Marine. In my first conversation with him, I knew wed found our guy.He understood our priority was to achieve as close to a factory finish as possible, and unlike the others, he did not try to talk us into something else. He provided samples of his similar jobs and spent a ton of time getting me comfortable with his capabilities and his plan for the job.Everything about the experience from that point on was perfection. We opted to have the team at Marietta Marine pick up and drop off our boat from our wet slip at Victoria Harbor, which I highly recommend if you might value that convenience. Jeff stayed in touch throughout the process, asking us to weigh in where there were choices to make, and texting us updates with pictures as the job progressed. He even finished the job three full days ahead of schedule so that we could have our boat back prior to the weekend - we mentioned in passing that we had friends in town and he went the extra step to make sure we would have our boat available for them.I am delighted to say that the upholstery on this boat does in fact look factory perfect, and I say that as someone who did not think it was possible. The color, texture and patterns are a perfect match, and the over-stitching is a thing of beauty. Jeff is an artist first, upholsterer second. In fact, I bet the Monterey reps themselves wouldnt be able to tell that these werent original, and thats EXACTLY what we were after. Before and after pics attached (anything not marked before is an after pic). Even these dont fully do it justice. If you are considering an upholstery job with Marietta Marine and want to look at more pictures of our boat, they know how to find us - we will happily share the good work these guys did.Cannot recommend enough - 10 out of 10.
Been going to the guys at Marietta marine for past 3 years just getting the boat winterized. Just recently however, my boat developed a flooding problem. After contacting them, they booked it in for the following week. Over the next few days I had very professional emails and texts from them itemizing what needed to be done and the quote for completing. All I had to do was approve it.Boat was ready end of the week back running as it should at what I thought was a very reasonable price.Ill definitely be using them in the future ! 10 out of 10
Excellent experience at Marietta Marine while trading in my boat on a new SeaArk. They gave me a great price on my boat, too! Blue went over everything on the new one, and patiently answered all 99 questions I had for him. His wife also knew all the answers when it came to GA DNR’s complicated process with the owner’s transfer stuff. Great place, great people!
We just bought a previously used Lowe pontoon boat from Marietta Marine. Blue was our sales person. It was a very good experience. When we took the boat for a sea trial, seveal problems were discovered; but, they were all resolved with a day or two. To accommodate our schedule Blue agreed to personally deliver the boat to Lake Lanier since, due to the few problems, we could not take delivery when we expected. In addition, they offered us several hundred dollars worth of boating supplies. We recommend highly Blue and his firm for their professionalism and quality of work.
Super impressive lot of boats but, more than that a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. I didnt think shopping for a boat would go this smooth. Make sure and ask for Blue Evans he might be zooming around the lot on his bike! He and his wife Danielle were incredibly knowledgable and made us feel like they wanted to take care of our family and get us out on the water for years of fun!
I’ll keep this somewhat short. I have a 2019 Ranger Rt188 with a Merc 115 Pro XS. About 7 months ago my throttle trim switch quit. The bow and motor switches worked fine, but it was a pain. Tried several times to get on a local Ranger dealer’s schedule (cab***ls) but couldn’t get my calls returned. Gave Marietta Marine a call just to see if they could help me out. I know these places are busy but they got me in fairly quickly. I also had them do some preventative maintenance and 3 days later, I’m good to go. They know boats and they really know Merc engines.
Awesome people all around! Mr. Blue, his wife, and staff were amazing the whole entire time we were there. They really care about you and know how to communicate well. We are very happy and highly recommend them to anyone. You wont regret going there!!Thank you for the kind and excellent service.
I have had the absolute best experience dealing with the family at Marietta Marine. They have been more than accommodating. Helped when I couldn’t get help and always a joy to visit. If you are in need of marine services or looking to buy a new or used boat this should be your first stop.
Great experience working with Blue. He is a wealth of knowledge and took the time to orient us to the boat and a even a bit of Lake Allatoona. Simple process with no hassle and rereshingly honest.
Just bought a Honda outboard from here, after calling several different shops. The man I dealt with, Mr. Blue was extremely helpful and knowledgeable over the phone that we decided to drive an hour and 20 minutes to him. Once there, it was top notch service and information given and ended up giving them my business. I highly recommend this store and Mr. Blue, for any boating needs. Will be a repeat customer, if I ever need anything else boat related. Thank you Marietta Marine.
Marietta Marine is run very professionally and in favor of the customer. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Definitely coming back!
Just bought our first boat through Marietta Marine. What a great experience! Blue and Danielle made the process super easy for us and we closed within a day. Blue delivered our boat to our slip at Lake Lanier and spent quite a few hours with us to help us learn the ins and outs of the boat. He even helped us set up the lines and fenders in our slip. Marietta Marine goes above and beyond!
Blue is very knowledgeable about boats and Danielle will help you get the best deal!
LOVE this dealership!! Blue and Danielle are an awesome team!!
Can’t say enough about the top notch service! I was down and South Georgia practicing for a tournament when I hit crippling boat problems. No one around West Point could help me out so I loaded up my boat and brought it to Marietta Marine. They hooked me up and the mechanic had all my issues fixed on the spot. I was back on the water the next day! If your looking to repower your boat you can’t beat their deals on a new Suzuki outboard! Highly recommend their business.
We had a wonderful experience purchasing our FIRST boat at Marietta Marine! We really liked that we were able to do a test drive on the water before buying it. Also, they showed us how to operate everything, which was super helpful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
First class operation. I had a minor issue and they made it right without question. The way a business is supposed to be run! They also sold my boat efficiently!
After taking my jetski apart for diagnostic and a repair estimate, they refused to put it back together unless we paid them $125.00 for assembly. I can understand running a business and charging labor costs but NONE of this was discussed with us nor was it explained prior to disassembly. Communication with your customers is key in running a business! Terrible experience. Now we dont know if were missing parts or what the state of our watercraft is.
Im not normally one to post reviews, but the service I received at Marietta Marine called for a review. After struggling for weeks with a different dealer, I reached out to Marietta. Within just a few hours, Forrest reached out and not only gave me the quote the other dealer never gave me, he also shot a video of a current boat they had in stock that was similar to what I wanted. He answered all of my questions quickly, politely, and expertly. The next day, we drove down to Georgia and met with the whole team. Forrest and everyone went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Needless to say, we drove off the lot with a brand new boat and we couldnt be happier. If youre in the market for a boat, I highly recommend reaching out to Forrest and the rest of the team at Marietta!
We just purchased our Sea Ark Bay Extreme from Marietta Marine. The whole process was very easy. I highly recommend working with Marietta marine if youre in the market for a new boat!
If I could give them zero I would. Terrible customer service! Poor mechanical service! And waited 2 months to find out they weren’t willing to attempt a repair.
Marietta Marine is AWESOME! My salesman Tony was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The sales manager Diane was fun and upbeat. Our test ride companion Blue was very informative and showed us everything we needed to know about the boat when we took it for a test ride(even though I scared him a little bit on the test ride....sorry blue). We purchased a few things from the store in their showroom (which had everything) and they even took our merchandise out and loaded it in our vehicle! I can truly say this was like going over to a friends house to buy a boat. The whole time my wife, my little son and I were there we felt like old friends hanging out, it was truly an incredible experience. Thank you so much to everyone at Marietta Marine!!!
They did my hour 20 service on my Suzuki. Tech was professional and staff was great. Thanks for getting me Iin and out.very nice facility.
Thank you Marietta Marine for getting our boat up and running. We will be back for service and recommend you to everyone 😎 🚤
These guys are great Blue helped me with all my questions. They found what I needed and was very courteous.
I needed a new propeller for my small outboard mercury, they spent more time than the sale could have possibly been worth to find and order the correct part. Correct the first time!!!!! Great service!! Great place!!!
Only ever worked with the parts shop, but everytime theyve been fast, helpful, and knowledgable. Always my first call.
Checked out the new location and its pretty great. They do there best to have what you need, and are great about getting boats repaired as quickly as possible! I recommend for anyone needing repairs or if youre in the market for a new boat !
Dean and the crew do a pretty good job. Its worth a visit just to talk with Larry 👀. I think they are honest people. Pretty good selection of used boats. I have always been treated well there 👌
Yesterday I purchased a 2003 Cobalt Boat for $35,000 from Mimi Nicholson at Marietta Marine. She was a real pleasure to deal with and made the purchase real easy. Her and Mr. Blue took the boat to the lake for a water test and put up with all my requests. Not the normal used car squeeze. Highly reccomend!
The new location is really awesome. They have all the parts you are looking for. I was really impressed with the service and Larry working with me to get my boat back ASAP. Thank you guys !
Did my winterization very fair price, walked me through winter and spring routines. Love the new store and signed up for spring detail. Be sure to ask for Blue!
Im a guide with FirstBite Guide service. I depend on my boat and cant afford for it to be down. Ive been using Marietta Marine for over 5 years now. They have gone above and beyond every time to get me back on the water as soon as possible. Great staff and very reasonable pricing.
Good news is that technology will be replacing these old timers. Parts are overpriced, staff has been unhelpful and unknowledgeable anytime I’ve ever encountered them. They take 45 minutes to find a part number and call you back. You’re better off just getting your serial/part number part and ordering off of amazon, at least you’ll get better pricing, shipping, and certainly better service3 minutes into a conversation with Larry and he told me not to waste his time after i asked a question to ensure I ordered the right part that was well over $100. He said he was busy and had a lot of stuff to look up and that I shouldn’t be wasting his time. Douche bags. Simple.
We own a 4 year old 22 foot Manitou Pontoon with a Yamaha 115 HP outboard. I screwed up and topped off the gas tank with an old can of gas that must have had water and rust in the can. I worked on the outboard for four days and then gave up. I called Blue at Marietta Marine and he arranged for my boat to be picked up and delivered to his shop. He had the motor running in a couple days and gave the boat a tune up. We were back on the water in less than a week. Engine never started so fast and ran so well. Thanks guys for taking care of my boat. Highly recommend Marietta Marine.
Family owed business that is caring and welcoming. Blue did a good job at taking care of all my transactions. Thank you
They are the reason we are on the water. You could not find a better group of people to purchase a boat from. I highly recommend them.
Blue and Aaron were great during my first purchase, walked me through and gave me a ton of help.
Beautiful area near boat launch. Boat launch has 3 lanes to put in which is nice. Bathrooms are out of order/closed, but they do have porta potties.
Spent 15000 thousand dollars in parts, repairs, motors. Money well spent. And they appreciated my business . As I read 2 unhappy reviews .One for pro boat clearly trying to drum up business. And the other who never had Ben there. Therese always 1 ass hole who writes a bad review. Didnt see that here
Terrible wait time and terrible customer service!
Eric, Larry & Chris are the best, I really appreciate the quick turnaround. Thanks so much!
Great place to buy a boat. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Check out their new location at 1500 Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth Georgia.
Enjoyed the experience. Daniela Evans and all the folks that helped were very friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with me and my wife as true professionals.
Disappointed in the work they did. I brought in my boat to replace steering cable and water pump. 1st they charged me for the assessment to determine if the steering cable needed replacing (Which was the reason I brought it in). When I dropped it off they noticed I was half way through replacing bunks and hardware on my trailer and they offered to finish project while doing other work. Despite leaving all the hardware with them, they bolted new bunks on old rusty brackets, but charged me for hardware?? Thought they really did the bare minimum for a premium price. They also had to torch the bolts on the lower unit, which is understandable, but they couldnt do it in house, so I had to send it to another shop...which cost $450 and took an extra couple of weeks. They were nice, but again disappointed in the work.
I work solely in the fishing business. So when my boat goes down Im out of work. Without my boat, my bills dont get paid.I visit Marietta Marine for the first time last Thursday. I had a breakdown on the lake and called my normal Marina. They said they couldnt look at it for three weeks.Ill call Marietta Marine explain to them who I was and what I do for a living. with in two hours they had my boat taken a part. In the pass five days I have had 3 calls from Them up dating me on the status of my boat and and an estimated day on when they thought it would be ready.I am supposed to pick my boat up tomorrow. That is a full two weeks earlier then my personal Marina would even take a look at my boat. And thats with them knowing my boat is my sool means of living.Thank You Marietta Marine you guys are true professionals. And the new marina for First Bite Guide Service.Robert EidsonFirst Bite Guide Service.
They do good quality work everything is strait foword thanks for the good job
Kick ass service. Called them from out of state to winterize before big freeze happend . They went to my house picked up boat winterized and brought it back. Saved my motor
Poor service, hidden fees, rude employees, and chauvinistic attitude. I wont use them again and would not recommend them to anyone - especially women customers. Will use Proboat. They are 20% cheaper than Marietta Marine with better customer service and the same convenience.
Thanks to Marietta Marine my boat was fixed fast and ready to get back fishing!
Very clean, friendly place. It was a pleasure doing business with these folks at their new location. I will be back.
When our boat was out of service, the guides at FirstBite suggested taking it to Marietta Marine. Their service was fast, friendly, and they had us back on the water in no time!
Went to go look at a boat a friends selling... Cool place
Friendly staff and prices are decent
Good honest people to work with. I have a Carolina Skiff that’s been a bit of a problem child due to neglect from a prior owner (had electrical issues and blown head gasket).Took me right in and got me back on the water in no time.Treat them well and they will treat you well.
Worse boat deal I have ever made!! They sold me a used piece of junk ...
Do not go to Marietta Marine for any services. They will take advantage of you and bend you over the rails all day long.
Best shop on lake!
Im a big fan of Marietta Marine!
They got parts.....
