Their staff is definitely 5 star, they make you feel secure and you know whatever oil change or trouble you have will be dealt with with professionalism and in a timely manner.

This place has nice people from my experience but they did not stand by their work. The mechanic didnt install the wheel bearing assembly correctly and it wasnt caught until a few months later and by then it had ruined the brake rotor. They wouldnt give any kind of break on the price to correct their poor workmanship.They may offer lower prices from some other repair shops but dont expect them to stand by their work if they mess it up.

Ive dealt with Vincent the owner for years. He is emphatically honest & a good businessman. Hes very fair, very reasireaso & ethical. I would refer him to anyone & have for years. You always based on income at time search prices but I got two estimates years ago. Their estimate was twice his. Being forthcoming, hes a good man & does good work in timely manner.

Great place to get your car worked on. They have reasonable prices and try to remember each person and their vehicle. Would be nice if they did discounts for returning or long time customers.

Uneven service. I used them for a number of years; and it seems they started charging me more when I became a regular customer. I had them replace the air shocks on my car with standard Monroe shocks, but they werent working right. I had to take it back three times before they got it fixed. I asked the owner what he did and he said he compressed the springs . Seriously? How can you compress a spring.? I also had a problem with a major part they replaced, which failed 13 months later. Nothing has more than a one year warranty, they told me. Also, when I switched to a new mechanic he told me they had charged me for premium spark plug cables, but in fact, they were standard cables. They get lots of business and must be in a hurry, so the repair you get is hit or miss. Now, I pay a little bit more some where else, and get reliable service.

I have had good and bad experiences here. I have had him fix things no charge when it was an easy fix. I have also had to argue that my vehicle (company vehicle) was diagnosed incorrectly and still leaks oil after having him try to fix it twice( me paying for both wrongly diagnosed repairs) . They have ignored my calls to have it taken care of and made me not trust them with my vehicles anymore. So I will say, Vincent is a good man, but may be too busy to uphold his quality of customer service.

Vincent is a reasonable person. He fixed my car when others didnt even bother to look at it. And he did at a reasonable price. I do recommend them.

We have used Cherokee Auto Tech for years for all of our cars. Our extended family has started to use Vincents shop after all of our rave reviews and his dependability. Vincent has been honest 100% of the time and always goes above and beyond to find the problem with the cars. We have NEVER had to take our cars back to him because a problem was not fixed.

Vincent the owner rebuilt my transmission.after I got the car back it was shifting bad and rough I took the car back he said it would go away because it was braking in. 2 weeks later no difference if anything it was shifting worse.I called him he said drop off the car we will take a look at it. He had the car for 2 more weeks!! And when he said it was ready and good he said it only needed a little oil. We took the car for a test drive and nothing was different car was shifting very hard a rough almost felt something would break inside.After I told him why won’t he fix it and make it right Vincent the owner started to get very aggressive and yeld at me said it’s not his problem if the car is shifting hard and rough as long as it’s shifting it’s not his problem anymore and told me he would not look at the car anymore...I would have appreciated it if he would have bin honest and said we don’t work on euro transmissions and I’d gone elsewhere instead of him making money not knowing how to work on my transmission.I do not recommend this shop at all I will never use them again.

I used this shop once and felt they were honest when they quoted me repair bill on my work truck so i let them do the work, but few days later same problem and when i stopped by to let them take a look at it again FOR THE SAME PROBLEM THEY CHARGED ME TO REPAIR Vincent the owner just got all pissed and told me they had repaired the problem and it wasnt his fault if the same problem needs repaired again..... really????Long story short if you need a reputable shop that stands behind their work, this is not the one.If there was an option for half star thats what this shop would get...

Terrible service, originally quoted $900 for the AC to be repaired. 19 days later and a bill of $2529.43 is unacceptable. I have done business with Vince for over 7 years now, I know that he normally takes additional time to make proper repairs but this is nothing short of robbery. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and for anyone thinking of taking a vehicle here for repairs I strongly advise against it.

I think its time I finally wrote a review for this repair shop. Ive been going here for almost 4 years now. Theyve always been honest, quick and communicate well with me. I recently had my truck towed and was forced to use another shop. They found an additional problem besides why I was towed so I took my truck here for a second opinion. Cherokee Auto Tech ran diagnostics for free and found nothing, saving me hundreds. This leads to repeat business for them as I will continue to take my familys vehicles to this shop as long as I live in the area, and would gladly recommend CAT to anyone in Woodstock. This auto shop came highly recommended for my BMW service. I took it in for oil change and tune up before with what seemed to be no problem. Later my car stopped and had it towed. I was told it was my starter. No problem. Was then told my car was ready. Ubered to pick it up ($35). Get in my car and there was all kind of warning lights and my windows wouldnt come down. Vimcent daid this was not his problem, as he only focused on the starter. He told me the car was safe to drive and tried to deflect by saying the car had recalls (which had nothing to do with the issue). I refused to drive it off the lot. Days go buy and he tells me the new problem. I picked my car up to transfer to a BMW mechanic. Spent $2000 more because of misdiagnoses from Vincents shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE..ESPECIALLY FOREIGN!!

We have been going to Cherokee Auto Tech for years. Great customers to them. We went to them a few months ago and spent over $700 with them. One of the mechanics broke the key to my wheel locks with out informing me. A few months go by I take my car to get the brakes done by another mechanic who is a close friend of ours who does all of our brakes. And he informs me that the key is broken. He spent two hours trying to get the locks off and charged me for it. After getting two of the four locks off we took the car back to Cherokee Auto Tech and told them what had happened. They spent time taking off the other two locks. Also causing damage to my rims. But have failed to compensate for the cost of taking off the two we had done somewhere else along with the cost of new key and locks for my car... They were the last mechanic shop to take the wheels off the car before I attempted to change the brakes out. What surprises me is that they would not even consider working something out with me. The new locks and the price of the removal of the broken ones was $160. To wrap this up if they do brake something on YOUR car dont excpect them to honor that they broke something and do not expect them to compensate you for it.

I experienced the same thing with Vince. I used Vince for years and its always the same thing a few month later the problem always reoccurred. In the pass 6 months I used Vince twice and both times same result. My car was leaking gas so I took it to Vince he claimed that he fixed it after spending $ 300 and today I noticed that my car is still leaking gas this can be very dangerous. He used cheap or used parts, do not take your car there. You get what you pay for Im taking my car to the dealer.

Take my toyota rav 4 for a problem in the AC fixed it but a piece of the board is damaged first we did not change it then we were going to change it I went three times not to arrived I never arrived and I never returned to this place

Well, Ive used Cherokee Auto Tech for years and even sent my friends to this place. Well, my luck has run out I took my car in for brake service and low and behold get the car home and couldnt stop damn it no brake fluid now I have to use my towing service to have it towed all the way back to his shop and get him to fix the dang thing.

I have taken one of my car 5 time during 6 months and twice on another vehiche. Problem after problem after they fixe. They kept my car for 2-3 weeks at a time. December 2014, Vince kept my car for 3 weeks for evaporate. My parking break lights arent working. I didnt know til when a police man pull me over. That was fist time I drive at night since I picked it up after Vince replace evaporater. And 4 months ago, he diagnosed that the computer body was bad. He recommend to take it to a dealer because he couldnt do it. So i took it to a dear and found it out, it wasnt the computer body. it was window motor that need to be replace. I am very disappointed and have spent over 6 grands for their service. I wont recommend to no one and its scary what he could have done to my car in 3 weeks.

Do NOT take your vehicle here. I took my car here to get a new axel installed. The mechanic Vincent installed the wrong axel which ruined my transmission and therefore my car. I took them to court and lost on a technicality. I was not able to afford a lawyer and they were. I TOWED my indrivable car to two mechanics for diagnosises to make sure that it was the fault of Cherokee auto tech. Both confirmed my suspicions saying that the wrong axel was installed which created spider gears in the transmission making the car inoperable. Since I did not have either of those mechanics at court as witnesses, I was not able to present that evidence because it was considered hearsay.Save yourself the headache. Do NOT go to this mechanic.

You read and you decide ---Saw spot on garage floor - oil leak? Cleaned spot, took to Cherokee Auto Tech, valve covers gaskets (V 6), CAT fixed for $158.77 on 4/17/12.2nd - spot on garage floor, oil leak? CAT said crankcase seal and valve cover gasket - bad part, they wouldnt cover, I paid to have fixed $485.00 on 4/13/15.3rd spot on garage floor! CAT said oil pan gasket, I paid to have fixed and O2 sensor $520.00 on 6/18/15.4th spot on garage floor, CAT said rear seal.This time I asked CAT if I paid for this, would they guarantee completely, unequivocally no more oil leaks, the owner said yes I paid for that and clutch, supplied my own parts (remember oil pan gasket CAT supplied failed) $485.51 on 6/6/15.5th spot on garage floor, CATs owner said guarantee not covered because the part failed and I supplied part. I said part failed immediately, car is 3rd car, only saw oil leak because had to pull car out, odometer hadnt increased more than 50 miles. CAT offered to fix for $165.00 on 9/12/15.Understand, every time I had car fixed @ CAT, I solvent cleaned garage floor because I believed - oil leak fixed. I challenged CAT @ every occurrence and CAT always replied with some kind of smarmy answer. So, I always gave CAT the benefit of the doubt until this last time when I was fed up and asked, point blank, for a complete guarantee.CAT advertises for Auto Mechanic all the time and in this case, never offered up the possibility that throughout the history of these oil leaks that installation error could be a factor.I now will use other repair shop and offer my tale to those that would read and heed.

I dont think the reviews below are accurate. Ive had so many issues and problems with Vincents work that I had to pay another shop to do the work. They seem like they do the job half a$$. I got his work inspected by 3 other mechanics and they all said he damaged my parts and didnt use good quality replacements. If your looking to get work done on ur car I suggest looking else where. This shop will burn you n do more damage to your car trying to fix it. Fyi I have a 2002 bmw 5 series. Maybe hes not experienced with high end vehicles, but dont take the chance if you care for your car. I paid him over 7000 to change seals n they are ask still leaking, and my timing is off causing it to miss fire.
