The selection of instruments I think improved from years of me visiting.However nobody here wears a mask and well, with a pandemic going around with someone wearing a mask it immediately shows me they care about their customers and lives of others.You might be vaccinated but a lot of people aren’t because they might not be able to. Super friendly, and extremely nice selection. Not too expensive either compared to online stores, and its still high quality. If youre interested in anything to do with instruments/music, you should DEFINITELY check this place out. Its worth the visit!
Helpful, but rude and unwelcoming. My instrument was a gift and when I took it in with questions, they belittled me. The person who gifted my instrument has apologized repeatedly.
Great service, always friendly. The guy who does guitar work is awesome.(not good with names, sorry) Highly recommend if you need guitar work done. Very fast.
Not friendly and was told to keep hands off of everything. You just lost two sets of lessons for our boys. Goodbye .... we wouldve bought. Customer service is number one. Period. Ive owned my own business. You need to connect with the customers.

Incredible store! Ive been there a number of times and the staff is always friendly and helpful whenever called upon. And theres a great selection in spite of the small space. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for musical instruments, equipment, and instruction books.
They were extremely helpful. We were looking for a harmonica. He was super helpful. It was clean and nice. The only issue I had with it is the man wasnt wearing a mask. I am not very afraid of covid but there are people who are susceptible to it more than me and every little thing helps. The harmonica is good quality and sounds good. All in all this store was nice and I was happy with the service. I would suggest that some one else should go here. And the harmonica was cheap to so well worth it.
First time to store, dropped off a strat for a set up. Great job, reasonable price and very friendly. Yuma is lucky to have such a nice music store.

Walter is always very helpful and Lisa is very friendly. Although I typically take care of my own instruments now, since I live in Tempe, I typically grab strings when Im down visiting from Tempe when I need them.Even after multiple years of going through college and now living more permanently in Tempe, I still appear to be remembered when I walk in. Its nice to not be just a number like you likely are walking into a guitar center (not bashing the company, but theyre a big company as opposed to a smaller shop setup like Fretworks).I do wish that they stocked the brand of guitars Ive been most interested in (Schecter). However, I did buy my first guitar from this store and have had nothing but good things to say ever since, including lessons in the beginning, and all work Ive ever had done to my guitars or amps.

I just purchased some 1/4” cables for a pair of Rokit monitors that I received on Christmas and the staff was very helpful and informative and knew the exact cables I would need since my monitors are powered and don’t take the typical speaker cables.
Fret works is a great place to shop . Knowledgeable staff and very friendly, They go out of their way to help you and make sure you are taken care of and answer any questions you may have . Lisa and her Brother have done a fine job and they are the only and only needed full service music store in town . No need to go to Phoenix or San Diego any longer . Their staff are extremely polite and professional, but know how to have fun and make hanging around the store a fun and pleasurable experience, encouraging customers to try out the instruments they have on the floor.As a resident of Phoenix, whenever I need work done to any of my basses or guitars, I make sure to send it down to Fretworks without having to worry about if the job will get done. Definitely my favorite music store in all of Arizona.

Brought in my guitar to have it looked over due to a one note fret buzz. Took twenty minutes for a tech to suggest for another tech take a look. He was to busy helping a paying customer and i wasnt spending $300 so I left. Techs couldnt even give me the damn correct Grovers for my Dean. Cant help a fellow musician unless you pay the outrageous tune ups and setup fees.Yuma needs a mom and pop music store not a franchiseUPDATE UPDATE UPDATELAST FEW VISITS HAVE BEEN ENOYABLE. THE OWNER WAS PLEASANT AND NOT PUSHY. MUCH BETTER INTERACTION WITH GUITAR TECH.I WOULD RECOMMEND A LOOK AT A MINOR REPAIR TECH. Twice now I have gone into the shop to have strings put on my violin ( once with an appointment prior to a lesson) and twice I was told by the gentleman in the service department that he would only put a single string on my violin as he was there to serve customers....excuse me what am !!!! I purchased a complete package of strings and other items as well as was!!! taking lessons at the shop. Not anymore... I will make the drive to Phoenix
This store is a disgrace with no respect or regard for their customers. I brought in a viola to be fixed for an important event, and the tech manager decided not to fix it! Thank you for ruining my one year anniversary.Avoid this place at all costs

THIS IS THE ONLY FULL SERVICE MUSIC STORE IN YUMA. That being said, They have reasonable prices, friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and a wide variety of musical instruments, amps, sound equipment, lights, etc... They also do lessons and repair Amps and guitars.
