I love the people that work in the commissary, this is the first one where I can tell that they are happy working here, one cashier even told me that if they dont have an item that youre looking for, bring it up to their management and they will try their best to get it

The little commissary that could!Surprisingly, the recently remodeling of the floors, longer aisles and more refrigerated food sections make it just enough for the location (location, location). Weve been shopping here more than 10 years and no worries. Not everything can or will be found here, yet its a good place to start and the customer service is always above the rim. Recommended!

Small commissary and still remodeling. You cant use the aisle signs because they arent accurate. For instant,, baking supplies spread out not located in one area, more like 3 different aisles. Hope once the remodel is done things will be better.

I always save from 20-30 % at the Commissary as compared to local grocery stores. Pet food is especially low in price, frozen vegetables and bread products too. Meat prices about same as regular price in grocery stores, but grocery stores usually have T-bone, New York, and Rib Eye steak (at least one choice) on sale for less than half the Commissary price. Local store brands are also less expensive than comparable commissary name brands.The Commissary is much more than a convenience, it is a significant benefit for our active duty and retired military veterans.Tell your Congressmen and Senators: Do not cut or privatize the Commissary benefit.

Prices are a little high compared to Sams club and some other locations. But as far as time and convenience after work I guess it is worth it. Customer service is great the employees are very helpful and friendly. May be too price for junior Marines.

Some good prices, but offset by surcharge of around 5%, which puts a dent in your savings. Then tipping the baggers is another drawback. They say surcharge is for infrastructure, but I feel they are making enough money on grocery sales. Most sales at local markets beat commissary by a long shot, especially milk.

Great had to wait as they were only letting 10 people in at a time. At least they had things on the shelves. NO TP of course.

1st time there and I was impressed with the quality and pricing of the items, even though I live 2 hours away I plan on returning soon.

We have used MCAS Yuma commissary for around four years now and find it to be a wonderful commissary. This is a small commissary but it is stocked with the essential basics as well as the nice to have things they have room for. The meat department is full service and will custom cut orders or custom order meats that they do not normally stock. I have never been treated any way other than professionally by any of the commissary staff. This commissary serves a relatively small active duty community and a huge winter time retiree community and they do it with pride.

Worst commissary Ive ever been to. Terrible selection and the prices arent that good. Highly recommend you check expiration dates on everything you plan on purchasing. Pro tip: dont buy meat there.

Best deals on most things, especially meat! Go here before you go anywhere else for food! Also recommend getting their rewards card and app, have gotten some really great coupons and deals using it.

Competitive prices on meat and no sales tax. Weekly sales and I believe price matching. Now you can use your Star Card, earning more points toward gift card reimbursement.

So spent almost 10 dollars for this icy sand feeling tuna poke bowl. Not only that the tuna has white layer in the middle... It ends up being overpriced in a bad quality meal.

Competitive prices on most items with a decent selection for its size. I dont necessarily like how the store is laid out though. I often find myself backtracking because I unknowingly missed items

Never had any issues here, and the staff is always great. Cant beat the prices, and most of the time theres no line for self checkout so its pretty quick to get through!

Its a commisary, I dont like how small it is, the deals were not rediculous like at other commisarys Ive been to. But overall it works for how small the base is.

Weakest commissary I have been to...there is hardly any produce to speak of, small bread section, no bakery or anything fresh and weak selection if all other products. If you dont live on base, its not worth the extra trip to save on tax.

Super cheap and convenient I could walk if I needed something at a moments notice. Very friendly staff as well.

As comissaries go, this one is relatively small in comparison. Therefore, the selection is a bit limited. Its to be expected, as this is a fairly small Marine base. As for the cashiers & courtesy clerks (grocery baggers, for those Google maps users, a fair percentage of whom are vocabularily challenged), they are working at a COMISSARY, not a Safeway or Whole Foods, etc. There is no corporate standard on how employees in those positions should conduct themselves.And, to the person who mentioned that they didnt realize that it was costumery to tip: the term, my friend, is customary. I am taken aback at the atrocious grammar in the vast majority of reviews that I come across, not just in Google maps, but other apps as well.

The cashiers are extremely rude and very unprofessional. They discuss their personal business in front of customers and the baggers complain (very loudly) if you have a full basket or cart of groceries. My first experience inside of this commissary was the absolute worse. We had just moved aboard MCAS, therefore we needed a lot of groceries. As I approached the cashier (only 2 registers were open and the cashier for one was bagging for the other), all you heard her say very loudly was, Im tired of this, why cant people who have big orders just go to Walmart or something. Im ready to go so I can get ready for my date tonight.This happened on Friday, April 22, 2016 @ 6:45pm.
