The people working the store were nice. They had a neck massager on sale half price so I bought two! One very nice lady sorted through a bunch of ankle braces to help me find one for George but none would work. She worked real hard to find something. That is customer service that brings customers back.

We received outstanding service. Emergency. Baseball cleat purchase. The clerk found multiple cleats in our price range very quickly so we could get to the field for warm ups.

They expanded their store!! If its sports related you can find it at Big 5... To me, the best sporting goods store in Yuba City.. They have a huge selection of softball cleats and bats and balls.. If you dont see your size ask a representative to look in the back.... Darts.. Fishing gear.. Camping equipment.. Shot Guns.. Swimming gear.. Check them out..

I liked going in there it was for my boss he wanted a tube and a tow rope for behind his jet ski .well they had it and we had a blast tail I had to run back 5o town and drop off some keys to a lady that just got home from vacation and could not get in her trailer .

Haven’t really been in public much decided to run by Big 5 and grab some summer camping Accessories. As I got home later that night and next morning I started to feel sick. Went to Urgent care for a COVID 19 test and it came back positive. I don’t think they are taking the time to disinfect anything. They are more focused on in forcing the mask rules but not any other steps.

Great store, discount days are awesome, staff is always very helpful & polite ...even when the customer in front of me was very demanding & rude to them they stayed calm & maintained a good attitude through it all 👍

Picked up some speed bag gloves for the other half and some hand wraps. They have great brands such as Russel Athletics, Champion, Under Armour, Everlast, Nike, Sketchers etc . Great selection for youth too.They have remained open all throughout the pandemic due to the fact that they carry ammo and weapons and are classed under essential service. Staff helpful and friendly also knowledgeable.

Worst store ! They never have what you need always have cheap products! struggling business ! Wonder why! Worst employees ever! Very rude!!obviously they dont know anything ! Too bad you have to go to Roseville to get anything of good quality I wouldnt shop here if you paid me! If you are thinking about purchasing a gun from here, don’t do it. Husband bought a shotgun, waited his 10 days (per law) and went to pick it up. We were told he couldn’t pick it up because there weren’t enough managers on the floor to release it. I was told to come in the next day so I asked when they opened. The employee had to go look at their front door for the stores hours. We went in the next day and spoke to a manager who then told us that she is not allowed to release a firearm, that we would have to come back...again. My Husband has been in the store for at least 45 mins now. In my opinion, don’t sell guns if you can’t have someone there to sell/release at all times.

I went in to buy some good walking shoes. I asked for a certain size and color, and the employee brought me something else. They didnt listen properly.

Initially I went in for this slamming deal big 5 had, $89.99 weighted blanket for only $30! Omw to the register this portable camp stove caught my eye and Stephanie, an employee, was quick to answer any questions I had on the item. IDK if Stephanie was the manager, or sales associate but she came off as the owner judging by her extensive knowledge on camping stoves& whereabouts/prices on misc items. Good service puts me in a good mood which prompted me to blindly ask if there was any collapsible shovels in stock. Off the top of her head there was one left and it was marked down. Effectively she sold me on an stove+shovel when I went into for just a blanket lol. Great experience through and through.

A Grade-A among Big 5 stores. Very helpful staff on phone when I called and again when I went in. I was greeted with a smile and offered directions and help to get someone to the counter as a walked over to it. The guy who helped me knew his stuff and even when his next shipments would be in with more product. Great job guys.

I had a better experience in this store than I did the one in Lodi earlier today I did find the rollerblades that I wanted they were on clearance it was unfortunate though because the only pair that was left was a pair that were obviously worn and returned the box was completely damaged they weren’t willing to give him more than 10% off which is what I have using my normal big five coupon so it’s like meh but I got what I needed and it took under five minutes to get customer service and the guy went up on a ladder for me to get what I needed so it’s OK it’s OK.

The manager at this store is outstanding!!! Because of her helpfulness, courteous customer service, professionalism, and people pleasing skills, I will return to THIS Big 5 for years to come. I wish I knew her name, but to whoever you are, you are amazing!!!! Thank you for proving customer service still exists. Your District Manager, CEO, and other corporate bigwigs should recognize you, honor you, and consider you for advancement should you desire.

The store is great, just kinda pricey.

Staff is friendly but vague about what exactly they have and how much of it is available. prices are also mediocre.

Well don’t forget your masks at yuba city Big 5.! My mask broke so did not have one with me at that time and I was told by Kayla the manager that they don’t have any to give out only for purchase and I can not shop there without buying a mask

I needed to pick up a large tarp. Their selection was limited but I got something that would work. They did a good job with social distancing and the people were eager to help as best they could. It sure beats going to Walmart!

Went in to get Asics gel 7 couldnt get no help stood in there for about a half an hour. One person working back there in the back in the shoes section.

High-end sporting equipment, when youre tired of the stuff Wal Mart carries breaking...You need to step it up a notch.

Even with no customers, finding help in this store can be like pulling teeth. Dont even walk through the door if you have other things to do

I always enjoy shopping at Big 5. Although we live in a small town, they usually always have what Im looking for. If not they are always willing to let u know they have shipments coming in and tell me I can call to see if what I needed came in. They will hold it if it does. They ALWAYS provide GREAT customer service and go above and beyond. Not very many stores are like that now. I also LOVE the new remodeled store.

Plenty good B5 store. Staff attends you as fast as they can. As we all know B5 keeps staff a little low to save money but thats not the staffs fault. They did point us to the items on sale.

I often get my daughters sporting equipment & shoes there. However, last time we were there my daughter finally found a pair of shoes she liked that happened to be the display. Unfortunately they couldnt find the matching size & told me they must have sold the matching shoe to someone else. Therefore, someone bought a size 7.5 shoe & size 8 shoes.

Its a joke. Half the stuff on the shelves dont have posted prices. Other prices are way high compared to other stores. The guy at the door wont let you in without a mask but hes not wearing one

There is a great selection of shoes for various athletics. There are shoes and boots for adults and kids. The cleats were in a different area than the regular athletic shoes. They have sporting equipment for the popular sports most people play in school. They also sell ammunition. The employees are helpful. The prices are kind of steep.

Ive been in a lot of Big 5s before and every single one is messy, clutered and sort of non catagorized. This Big 5, it was picked up and organized. Brightly it to. Thing is though, it wasnt all that catagorized. For instance, I was looking for a track suit pants for my Wing Chun class and those pants were in the baseball or trainer pants section. All exercise clothes should have their own racks all close together.The employees are polite as well. Its was on the warm side temperature wise. Overall, nit a bad place to shop. Would I go there again? Yes. This Big 5 is 7 out of 10 for me.

This place went to hell after the remodel. Ive stood at the knife counter so long with employees walking by and none of them ask if Ive been helped. Customer service go a long way, both good and bad.
