I was really nervous about bringing my computer in the first time, I have important financial information on my computer so it was important to me that I found someone reliable. They were very friendly and professional and I have since recommended them to a few friends. Theyre also surprisingly fast, Ive been here a few times and theyve never taken more than a day.

Fix it or ditch it and move on to new technology? Luke at CM helped me work out what direction to ultimately go in when I was considering whether or not my machine was worthy of saving. When I decided to repair the hard drive on my Mac Luke handled it and was even able to save my data from the old drive. He was thorough and answered all of my questions without condescension or judgement. I have my machine back and its purring along beautifully. Id go to Computer Mechanics with just about any technology issues without hesitation and will be recommending to all of my friends that need tech services. My machine was worth saving and Im really glad I called this place. A+

Provided quick in-house soldering service for a Macbook Air logic board connector that had been dislodged, and at a very reasonable (and competitive) price! The rep was quick to diagnose the issue and provide a quote. I got my computer back within hours of dropping it off, and everything has been working great for the last couple of months. I had to take my laptop in to replace my screen and it was done very quickly. Great customer service and if I need repairs again I would come back.

This is now the third (maybe 4th) laptop they have replaced due to malfunction. The first had issues they couldn’t fix, a computer which was for sale on their shelves. the second and third, also computers for sale as though they are fully operational, now continue to have problems (randomly runs into an error stating that the computer needs to restart). The process of having to go there and back many times, explain to them what is going on, and then have yet another failure is exhausting. While they were willing to try to compensate for the various issues with their products each time, each product has failed to work properly. Not sure if this is a reflection of incompetency in their refurbishing work or what, but if you need more assurance that your device will be reliable, don’t go here.

I received great service here. They stand behind their work. After being treated badly at a big box store, I now dont go any wear else.

I bought a desktop computer from these guys earlier this year. Completely satisfied with purchase, saved a lot of money rather than going to best buy. Ive been able to pick up odds and ends at the store, too; they have a great selection of misc computer supplies for being a small shop. I very much value the time the owner has spent answering my questions, and helping me keep my machine up to speed.

No drama, just in and out in 10 minutes with an answer to why my computer wasnt working. Will keep in mind if I have any more computer problems!

Im so grateful my friend referred me to this place. They are prompt, affordable, conscientious and polite. They did a great job cleaning up an old PC I have and reorganizing the files so it runs so much faster. They did it in half the time and for half the price of a big box store I used before. Im not super tech savvy so it meant a lot when they told me I could call for tech advice regarding the repair if I needed it. Highly recommend.

I bought a used laptop for $249. Within two weeks I had significant issues: the full screen immediately turns into the small screen, the notification manager keeps showing with no notification, the mouse will move off screen and dissapear, and the pages will just shut down. I took it back just after 30 days due to Covid-19. Luke said, even though it is past 30 days I will reprogram it for you but I think it is you and you need to learn how to use your machine. I picked it up and it does all the same things mentioned above. Scolded and now have POS laptop I paid $249 for. I contacted Luke again and begged him to fix my computer, which I would change my review, but he just hung up on me.

I had to take two laptops in for assessment after they received water damage from a burst pipe at my residences. The tech working was able to immediately look at my machines and write up an assessment for my insurance company. I have waited in line to see a tech at a big box store longer than it took for Computer Mechanics to finish their work. I also couldn’t believe it when it was only $10 for them to look at my machines when other shops won’t touch your hardware for less then a $40 diagnosis fee. Highly Recommend giving these guys a shot if you are in need of computer help.

I had a great experience. My issue was handled quickly and professionally while I waited. What I thought was going to be the end of my laptop turned out to be a minor issue. I wasnt charged any fees. I wasnt sold anything I didnt need. They have earned a return visit the next time I have an issue. Highly recommend.

Great place! Luke was very professional and kind when I took a VR headset to be fixed there. He actually did beyond what he had to do just to make sure my item would work as it should. Price was fair and I would definitely come back there for any kind of tech service I may need in the future!

Took my laptop in after it wouldnt start due to a power outage. I thought it had been fried. Selected Computer Mechanics because they have a free estimate. The young man opened it up, took some stuff out, moved some stuff around (see how much I know about computers) and it started right up. Took all of 10 minutes and was complimentary (probably felt sorry for me :) ). I highly recommend them for your computer needs and will be referring all my friends.

Good place to go for computer work done

Went to get the power jack fixed and now the casing of the computer is falling apart because the screw fell out and they broke a part of my computer off and wont cover it. They want me to pay another $60 on top of what I paid them even though nothing but the jack was broken and refuse to cover it under the warranty.

Went for diagnosis on my components for my build, got the answer within a day and he was incredibly fair and kind. Awesome business right here.

My laptop was supposed to have my keyboard fixed and a new battery added. Things were broken on my laptop when I picked it up. Additionally, Luke the Manager wasnt going to notify me of items I forgot in/with the laptop and when I asked him about this he replied its not our responsibility, and laughed. When I relayed to him my computer was now broken he tried to charge me more to fix it and said it was a coincidence that it was now broken. I notice the reviews and it seems like this happens often. Also, he used super glue on my laptop, and kept saying that was my only choice for other problems with my laptop instead of finding parts or ordering parts. Now I have to find somewhere else to go so that they can fix the damage Luke the Manager at Computer Mechanics did.Regarding the Owners Google Response:The response from the Owner” if not Luke, goes to show how unprofessional this business is. They have no right to try to disclose personal information about me. It is unnecessary and unprofessional in how they chose to word there reply. That additional problem that the owner speaks of was one that they had caused and they know it! That part of my laptop was working perfectly before they touched my laptop. Now, I have to go somewhere else to get if fixed all over again. They call this a good deed?To clarify on what the owner said about the items forgotten, there were actually 2 items that I am speaking of, an SD card and and HDMI cord. I do have a medical condition, however, regardless of having a medical condition or not they should have told me my SD card was still at the shop. They let me leave the shop with my laptop, and they still had my SD card, which was inside my laptop when I first brought it in. They never called me about it, and there reasoning behind this was because I was coming back eventually whenever they received the battery that they ordered for my laptop. They thought of something to say to me fast... The same thing happened with the hdmi cord, however, due to Luke the manager making me feel uncomfortable by being unprofessional, on top of my physical problems I forgot my cord there, and again I did not receive a call. I was in a knee brace and I had my young nephew with me waiting there for a very avoidable amount of time, but Luke the manager did not care about what he could actually see with his own eyes. They know I am not lying about any of this.They are not the BBB, they know nothing of me nor my past, and it is unsettling for them to try to say that they do. Furthermore, they cannot make claims, accusations, and speak with such absoultions on behalf of the BBB. I have no reason to lie about anything, but of course an unprofessional business would try to deny any wrong doing on their part. I think it is childish in nature, and a waste of time to argue with any adults that engage in this type of careless behavior, especially since I am suffering from physical health conditions. I guess the owner is a doctor too, who knows. Lawyer it is!

I have been putting off getting my desktop PC updated to windows 10 from windows 7 since service for that os was dropped months ago. When I brought my computer in Luke was very friendly and professional. He gave me an estimate and didnt try to upsell, overcharge, or pressure me in to unecessary upgrades.
