Really nice place, all the other reviews helped me choose this place. It was busy so I had to wait a day to have my car repaired, but he did so and it ended up being less than I was quoted! He even winterized my car. Also, he has the cutest dog.

The best auto shop I’ve ever taken my business too. The main problem is that because he’s so fair and knowledgeable his waiting list can get long because of all his customers. I’ve since moved states but I still consider taking my car to Ypsi if I need quality work.

They made repairs to my daughters truck when I was up north. Easy to deal with, fairly priced and did an awesome job. I would highly recommend these guys to anybody and I will certainly be using them again

First time going here, got my front brakes and rotors replaced. Price was as quoted and the job was done at the time he said it would be! Brakes no longer make noise and he even said he would fix my rattling heatsheild for free later!I Would definitely recommend this place!

I never take my vehicles anywhere else, even if it means waiting a few days for my vehicle to get serviced. Honest, affordable, thorough, and hes helped me out of a bind more than a few times. I would trust him with my grandmothers car or my childrens. Dont go to the chain/franchises around here, they all suck.

John has been fixing automobiles for 30+ years! This man is a magician when it comes to car repairs.I just bought my 03’ Honda Odyssey for a really cheap price, since it had been in an accident. The muffler was squashed into the body and loosened from its original position.My friend’s dad was concerned for me, as I am about to trek from Michigan back to my home state of Massachusetts, and said his friend has recommended John very highly. He has a network of people saying fantastic things about his work and reasonable prices. So, he made me an appointment for the same evening of the call.We shared stories about life along with his friend that was visiting the shop. (Who also serenaded me with his lovely singing) I had the joy of watching first hand how John problem solved and welded the muffler back into place.He checked the whole vehicle to make sure that I will safely be on my way. The offered to squeeze me in when no one else could just after the holidays, and when I brought the car in, Joe was convinced it was something simple that I could easily take care of myself. He showed me the problem, took my car for a drive with me to make sure that his diagnosis was correct, showed me what to fix and didnt charge me a dime. He was kind and helpful and not at all condescending; we will DEFINITELY be back in the future for any car troubles that we have!

The most fair and honest mechanics I have ever met and I used to work as an auto parts delivery driver so I have met countless. These guys will not just tell you, but show you what is wrong and be honest about what is not worth wasting your money on. I have always done my own auto repair, but dont have the time these days. So glad I found these guys I couldnt imagine a better place to take a vehicle. It is not fancy, but I would much rather their service to free coffee and lies.

I came for an estimate after a different mechanic told me 2 major things were wrong, and John not only looked at my car but also showed me where one strut was broken and educated me about struts as well as gave me the pros and cons about repairing it. I really appreciated the honesty and education. I ended up not actually needing to get the work done, but I will certainly be back when I do need something!

John is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. When everyone else told me the noise coming from my car was struts and would cost up to 1000. He believed it was a much smaller fix. He did the repairs and the noise went away. Cut the price by 95%. Highly recommend.

I tried calling 3 times within a couple days and the phone just rings forever. Also, I tried to visit in person but it seems the driveway is just full of cars blocking the way in. Is this even a business anymore? Is Google taking me to the wrong location? I at least expect to be able to call. Very disappointed.

The best mechanics Ive ever dealt with. Ive taken my truck into them twice and was impressed both times. As someone whose knowledge of auto maintenance doesnt stretch beyond changing a tire and the oil, its refreshing that they explain/show exactly whats wrong with your vehicle. These guys know what theyre doing. Their pricing is fair and service is excellent. Ill take my vehicle to them as long as I live in the area.

I recently took my car there for the first time, and I definitely plan to go back for any future repairs. Before I found out about R&J I had taken my car to a well known auto repair place out on E Michigan. My car sat there for 4 days, and they hadnt even looked at it. Had it towed over to R&J and it was checked out and fixed in less than 4 hours. Its an honest place that does great work. I highly recommend you go to them if youre looking for a mechanic.

This place is an asset to the community! I was offended fast service by John despite him being exceedingly busy. I had a small issue with my windshield wiper motor. I was worried that I was going to have to replace the whole thing, which would have cost at least 300 dollars. Instead these guys pointed out that it was just a broken plastic ball joint, fixed it in a day for just 80 bucks and explained to me how the problem was caused by ice freezing my wipers to my window, gluing my wipers down and breaking the joint when the wipers where activated. Now my car is fixed and this problem wont happen again!

Wonderful! My car was having cooling issues which is always worrisome- especially in the beginning of summer. They were able to fix the problem (water pump) that day and were very clear at explaining everything to me. They even showed me the broken part. Very helpful and welcoming and best of all FAIR!

Had an electrical issue with my car, took it here to get another opinion. They werent able to recreate the problem, but gave me a few suggestions and generously didnt charge me. Will definitely recommend these guys to anyone, and they have my business in the future.

Went to John for a tune up he told me to clean my mass air filter it kinda helped but still had issues. Came in ran diagnostics cylinder 1 misfire had me swap cylinder 2 cpil pack to cylinder 1 and 1 to 2 and sure enough misfire on cylinder 2. He could have easilydone a tune up instead he actually trys to help people not only fix their problem but save money. Hes not a normal shop all about making money he actually cares about helping peopleand saving them money. The country needs more guys like him would recommend to everyone and I will.

Awesome garage - Went in for some front end noise. Needed front wheel bearings and had they discovered a leaking caliper. They replaced everything for a fair price and were very friendly and relaxed. Didnt feel pushed or steered into making the repairs, although I walked in knowing work would need to be done. They also performed what I would call some extras without making a big deal about nickel and diming me.

GO HERE. Brought my fiancees car in with what I thought was a fairly small issue. Turned out I had no idea what was wrong, and my engine was covered with oil. They power-washed the car, found the leaks, showed me the problem. Every step was explained very clearly but without condescension, and said hed call with a detailed estimate. 15 minutes later he called to tell me that it would cost $435...but that the problem wasnt serious enough to require a fix. Instead he gave me detailed instructions on how to monitor the problem so that Id know if I did need to bring the car in later. Im paying for the power wash but that doesnt even come close to covering the cost of the time they put into this for me.Of course, when I have a real problem, Ill be going back...nice to see a mechanic who is interested in building relationships and trust more than making a quick buck.

Worst service I have ever receive when getting work done on my car. Not only was the owner Joe a completely rude, disrespectful, but a ridiculously condescending person. After I stated what I believed to be the problem with my car (he never looked at it) he proceeded to yell at me over the phone on how I dont know what I am talking about. Then when I stated that I had the codes read at auto zone for some basis of which to start the conversation. Why would someone treat a potential customer this way. RUDE! Will never go here and will tell others to stay away.
