I was told by the main service advisor that my car was in desperate need of a new front shock. They said the car would still be finished the same day later that afternoon. Later that day they mentioned that they didnt have the correct seal to use on the part they installed for the shock and installing an OEM seal could have leak potential on the transmission fluid. I was never advised they used an after market shock in the first place.1 week later they still didnt have the correct seal and kept blaming the advanced auto parts that the part came from. The manager said all they could do was another $100 off and that installing an OEM seal wouldnt have any affects on the leaking. I told them to just finish it up and id pick it up when they were ready. Got a call about an hour later.Fast forward 2 days later i was driving down 83. I looked and noticed the plastic piece between the wheels was not bolted on.

I usually have a great experience at this Toyota service center. Yesterday (8/5/2021), not so much, enough to make me change my rating from 5 stars. I had a scheduled online for my inspection and emissions, specifically mentioning I have a cracked windshield. No one called to clarifythat I shouldnt bother coming in until the glass is replaced. Ive have had cracked windshield that passed before and didnt understand the nuances. It took a while for someone to wave me in, then no one came up.to my car, but rather, shouted my name after I opened my door and was sitting in my car. Its not awful, but Im used to much better at this place. The young man who called me over to his desk asked me if this was my first time here. I bought my car in 2010, and have never had it serviced anywhere else. It was strange, but he said my records didnt pull over.Aside from the less than inspired service, there were no splash guards and only one person other than me was wearing a mask. As someone who works in front line healthcare, this strikes me as dangerous to employees and customers alike. I still have to get my car inspected, because of the windshield, but I am so uncomfortable about going back.

Edit: never heard a word from them. Took another follow-up phone call and they finally sent the refund. I took a hard inquiry on the credit report for nothing. Koons has called me once every two weeks with updates on inventory. I havent even ordered anything. They just check in. Giving them a try in a few weeks.Original review: I am giving them a average rating since I know it is tough with inventory right now. With that said, I spent over 2 months waiting on an ordered vehicle. Communication was not very good and required followup calls and visits just to get 2 updates during this process. In the end, they basically gave up and are refunding the deposit.Some of this is definitely on Toyota but the dealer bears some responsibility too. I will update if we complete a purchase with them.

From the sales to the pickup, Toyota of York made it easy. We live 2.5 hours away and they made this the best experience we have had to date when purchasing a vehicle. We did most of the purchase over the phone and when we arrived to pick up the new vehicle we were in and out in 25 minutes. Thank you very much Mary and Jason, you both made this experience great.

Just bought here for the second time. Worked with Nate Irwin both times. Excellent salesman, knowledgeable of all the vehicles on the lot, hardworking guy. He puts in the work to get me what i need at the price Im looking for. I can be picky and hard to please, but he has so much patience with my many questions, test drives, indecisiveness, and talking the financials to work deals. He will always have my business.

The last service that I had done at Toyota of York was a horrible experience. This is the second bad experience of 3 visits that I have had there. I went in to have the fuel pump on my Tacoma replaced due to a factory recall.I showed up on time and with about an eighth of a tank of fuel. When I left the service center, I stopped to fill up at the local gas station. After watching the fuel quantity on the station pump exceed what I thought should be the maximum amount, I stopped pumping and looked under my Tacoma. I was leaking fuel onto the ground and it was running down the slightly sloped parking lot.I went back to the Toyota of York Service Center and explained the issue. I was initially told it would take hours to get my Tacoma in to get looked at. I explained to the Service Center personnel that I had just left and that something that they did or did not do, was causing this. Eventually they did get my Tacoma in and the cause of the problem was determined to be a clip that a technician failed to engage causing an open system.Aside from the lost time and fuel spill at the gas station, this caused an enormous safety issue for both myself and others near me at the fuel pump.I have since decided that all future services for both of my Toyota vehicles will be done at the Hanover dealership. It is a longer drive but I have more confidence in the job being done correctly.

Toyota of York how do I hate thee. Let me tell you of my wonderful experience this afternoon.i was informed of a recall that needed to be taken care of so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone and get my vehicle inspected while there. After a phone call that my truck was ready to be picked up I stopped in on my way to work figuring 15 minutes tops to get my vehicle. They promptly brought my vehicle out so I get ready to leave and notice the inspection sticker still said 2020. I went in and informed the man that the inspection sticker wasnt changed and had the paperwork proving it had been paid for. He then took my truck back to get the sticker put on . Im reasonable and understand mistakes happen. 15 minutes later no truck no sticker loomind you I need to get to work. I reentered the service department to find a lady who says shell see whats going on now Im about 30 minutes into this venture. She returns to tell me I need to wait 10 or 15 minutes more even though I already waited a half an hour and it should have been done upon my arrival. Finally after 45 minutes a service tech comes out with my truck and informs me he was on break and he was sorry. Needless to say never again Toyota of York eat a bag of Richards.

We love being a member of the Toyota Family!! We just leased our second vehicle with Toyota, a 2021 highlander hybrid XLE. This vehicle is beautiful and has everything we want including that extra space we needed for our growing family!!! Luckily, we were able to work with the same salesperson that we worked with for our 1st lease back in 2018. Jim bell my salesman, did a fantastic job at working with my needs and making the buying process as simple as possible. When there was an issue with the title of the car I was purchasing, instead of making me wait to take my vehicle home, the sales team decided to let me take the vehicle home for the night on a dealer tag until the title arrived. Don’t know if they do that for everyone in my situation, but this made my day on top of getting the car.On the day the title arrived which all the paperwork needed to be done I left the lot feeling like I received a great deal. Out of many vehicles I’ve bought throughout my life from dealerships I can’t say that has happened more and a couple times. I’m very please with my experience at York auto group and will be shopping again with them for another vehicle shortly for a family member.

First of all, whats the use of scheduling an appointment? Every time my wife and I schedule an appointment, something that should take a half hour turns into an hour and a half to....get this..4 hours! I went into my scheduled appointment to replace a center console lid and it took an hour and a half! It was warranty work so I got kicked to the end of the line. Two people showed up after me and left before me. My wife just bought a car there two weeks ago, got a bolt in her tire...drove ther on a flat and they told her they were booked and couldnt get her in. They referred her to NTB! Nice! This place is a joke. Never buy a car or truck here again!

After owning my first Toyota in 2014 and leasing another in 2018, I was told I could trade my lease in for another without even asking. Miguel made my transaction super easy and the most importantly he kept my wants/needs in mind. My experience with Miguel and his manager Casey went far better than what I had anticipated. I test drove, picked the color, and my car was delivered overnight. The car is everything I could have asked for and so much more. I bought a 2020 Tundra in June of 2020. The customer service from our salesman was decent - but it quickly went down hill. The communication between sales and service is horrendous. The service department has very unprofessional customer service and have made me feel as an inconvenience each and every time. I’ve visited the service department 4 times since my purchase - the first time was only a few days after my purchase to follow up with a step missed at my purchase. From that visit on - I dread having to call service, schedule service or arrive for service. I continue to go back only to be disappointed again. Today, I called the service department because I need to purchase a tire ( I got a nail in one tire ). Every major tire website I visit tells me the tires on my truck are not compatible tires for that model. After speaking to multiple people - no one was able to answer the question of “are the tires sold on my brand new truck appropriate?” They representatives I spoke to were plain rude.This is a ridiculous complaint - but I was told I would have free car washes with every scheduled service. My first 3 services visits I was told the car wash was broken - acceptable, those things happen. The 4th visit I was told “ no car wash because .... Corona”What sense does that even make?I dread this place! Totally regret my decision on this purchase - I love my truck but despise the dealership.

Terrible experience with trying to get my car serviced this morning. Always enjoyed using Toyota of York until today. Talk to two different women on the phone the first one hung up on me and never transferred me to the service advisor. The second one was quoting stuff from a car I didnt own. I asked what the 100 point inspection they do with the oil change involved neither one would answer my question. Also told me it was $115 fee to diagnose a problem that I told them I was having with a wheel bearing. I guess this dealership turned into scam artists like every other dealership in York. I recommend you use a regular mechanic instead of using the stealership

I just bought a Camry SE from here and the experience was great. I went one week to test drive a few and found the model I liked. Hi, my name is Bill. In February of 2021 I bought a used 2014 Toyota Tacoma from 160 miles away, going only by photos and the info provided. I bought it remotely, and they delivered it to me all that distance! It had about 35k miles, which is rare. I was very nervous about buying a truck site unseen. But when it arrived, it was like brand new. It really looked like no one ever drove it. Perfect exterior, perfect interior. Drove like new. The funny part is that the saleman never tried to bend my arm. He was very helpful and laid back, giving me room to make my own decision. Im glad I did. I feel very lucky. My sales guy, by the way, was Logan Sprigle. The guys who delivered it with all paperwork were super professional and had highlighted all the places to sign so we could keep covid-distant. I hope my truck lasts forever. My neighbors are jealous that I found such peach. I found the original 1-owner guy and called him and he said that he had kept it garaged 24-7 and rarely drove it. Lucky me.

Got a price qoute online for specific vehicle. Went up to look at it in person, talked to a salesman, sorry forgot the gentlemans name but was very polite and informative. I have been a consistent Toyota/Lexus customer since 1999. The vehicle quality and dependability is unmatched. I have never had a repair issue with any of my cars, and have only required scheduled routine maintenance.While vehicle quality and dependability is important; the deciding factor for me has always been the customer care experience.Today, a member of your service department, Mr. Steven Bond, reminded me why I have remained loyal to the brand. My tail pie was dislodged from its housing due to my geriatric parking skills. I made an appointment for an inspection and to order any necessary parts. Before I could sign in, Mr. Bond was underneath my car and in a matter of seconds, he popped the tail pipe in place. I know this may seem minor to some, but for me, his kindness and consideration was above and beyond my expectations.

Went there with my daughter to help her get a new car. We first had to track down a sales person. Once we finally found one. We spent 5 minuets and with him and he said He didnt have anything she could afford. My jaw dropped. So we went to Apple and spent the money there. Sorry for your loss. Before coming to Toyota of York, we went to 2 other Toyota dealerships in MD- neither came close to the level of service we experienced at York. Larry was great- extremely knowledgable about his inventory, very personable, and more than willing to answer any question we had. Their trade price was more than the other 2 dealers (one actually quoted us $2500 less) and sealed the deal for us. We had a very positive experience and when we are looking to trade in our other 4Runner well definitely be making the trip to York first.

In short, I would avoid this car dealership. I worked with James “Jim” Bell and I am not sure if it’s just him or the dealerships training but it’s outdated. The sale tactics are comical especially in 2021 when everyone has access to an unlimited amount of information. James really tried to use lines such as, “let me talk to my manager”, “this is the price we originally had it listed so you’re saving thousands”, “we’ll match and pay off your trade-in so you walk away with a clean slate”, and my personal favorite “if you don’t buy this car today it’s going to auction”. His manner was unprofessional and sloppy all around and did not seem to care if he sold the car or not. James offered us $700 less for our trade-in than CarMax did for cash and no trade. Hilarious! The car we were going to buy five days ago that was “going to auction if we don’t buy it” is still on their lot and now listed lower than what James offered us. Thank you CarGurus for the notification on that. I hope for the dealerships sake that all the salesmen are not like this. I hope the Regional Manager reaches out and completes some training for the ones that need it.Overall, just a really bad experience car was listed high and dropped at the dealerships “lowest”, still high. Told us our car is not worth what they’re offering us when CarMax beat the price by $700 and that trade was in cash. Told us they absolutely can not go lower, four days later CarGurus sends us a notification that the price went lower. Told us if we don’t buy the car it’s going to auction tomorrow, the car is still on the lot 5 days later. Just so many unintelligent and unnecessary lies were made in a short period of time. To be honest, I am glad they treated us the way they did because after reading service reviews here on Google it does not look good.

From the initial contact with Desere Powell for information on the used Ram 1500 I was interested in, to the follow up emails for financing information from Mary Koller before I even was able to look at it, was superb and made it one of the easiest vehicle purchases I have ever made. My wife and I showed up about 30 minutes early for our appointment and was still able to be assisted by salesman Joe Dietz. The assistance we received was knowledgeable, professional, and left us feeling at ease and not pressured at all. He was able to answer all of the additional questions we had, quickly got us the keys to take it for a test drive while the shop reviewed our trade-in. Once we were satisfied, Joe was able to quickly get the vehicle ready for us by getting the final details being taken care of like getting it gassed up, etc. while we were with the finance department and took care of financing and adding the additional Toyota Care coverage we opted for. Once again, NO PRESSURE to purchase the additional coverage.Everyone there worked together well as a team and gave no pressure at any point of the vehicle purchase process. I will definitely recommend this location and these fine professionals to friends and relatives for any car purchases. Job well done!

I brought my Toyota Prius for a state inspection to Toyota of York. I am happy with the service, the customer service, and am bringing my car back to have the interior detailed. My experience so far, is better here than the two Toyota locations in Harrisburg. I didnt rate it as a five because of a few complications getting my state inspection scheduled, but it all turned out well in the end.

Nothing but amazing things to say about the dedicated staff at Toyota of York. Nathan Irwin in particular, deserves the utmost recognition. He was so professional, very honest about everything and upfront. I had a pretty tight schedule, and he dedicated time to make sure all my questions were answered before even talking about my options. RUN RUN RUN. They will BLOODLY scalp you with there pricing. 125$ for them to tell me they couldn’t help me....and then offer that they could look deeper for another 800$. My local mechanic then did the job for 250$.......go local. These guys are vultures who do poor work.

Dropped of my vehicle off at 8:30 a.m. to be serviced assured my vehicle would be ready by 12. Called at 1:30 they did not even start my vehicle because there was a mix up. So now will be ready after 5:00. Offered to take the price of tire rotation off my bill $30. What about my entire day without a vehicle? Hardly think that covers it. They probably will not even do the tire rotation since I am not bring charged. Unacceptable service. Will def not be going back.

They worked AMAZINGLY with us. Before going in to discuss everything; Nate came out to us & introduced himself & went over EVERYTHING about the car we were looking at! Showed us a few options & was making sure he knew what we wanted before going for a test drive. He was knowledgeable on the interior, exterior & all the specs of the car. AWESOME. It felt as though it was a friend in the car as we took it for a test drive (even if i was too anxious!) As we went inside & our minds were made up - he was quick to offer us a drink to warm us up! The paperwork, the whole process was so fast & smooth that it was almost UNREAL. We finalized everything with the finance department, with Josh, & honestly it was the BEST. He looked at every option possible for us & before we knew it; we were driving away with our 2019 Toyota Rav4 Blueprint!!!!! This staff was just FANTASTIC!!! Will definitely recommend them to friends & family!!

I took a Prius here, pre-purchase, to have it inspected before deciding whether to buy. The paperwork from Toyota of York said “customer wants it gone over completely before purchase”. It was not gone over completely, I discovered, after purchasing it. I’ve found multiple issues with the vehicle. When I called, they said I would need to pay for a diagnostic fee, for three separate issues. I went in, to office, and asked for the manager to check these issues for free since they were missed the first time, and they did. However, the issue was still not resolved. They did also refund the cost of the first “inspection”, but I was not pleased with how Toyota of York handled these concerns, and will not return.

Outstanding service from beginning to end! Larry in sales started us on our journey with York Toyota and what an adventure it was! We test drove the gas and hybrid versions of the vehicle we were interested in to help us figure out what we wanted. Larry was very informative about the vehicle and its options.Casey, our sales manager, also gave us an outstanding service and deal as we continued on this adventure. Our last stop on this adventure was with their financing department. I cannot spell her name correctly, and I don’t want to mess it up, BUT she was the icing on the cake! The perfect ending to this adventure!Thanks to all for a lovely experience and whenever we are looking for a new Toyota, we KNOW where to go!
