Went in to special order a rifle and I cant complain about anything. Kyle helped me get it on order and helpfully explained the process. When it showed up it went just as smooth, they even gave me a free hour on the range with the purchase. Yes there was about a 30 mins wait for a sales rep to be available, but the man at the door gave me a little pager device like they use at restaurants to buzz me when there was someone free.

I have always been treated great and they have always helped me beyond my expectations.

Never had a good experience. After two times won’t go back. The door people are always rude. The people behind the counter are not interested in questions. Pretty much if your not a firearm expert don’t bother talking to us.

Claim to be 2nd Amendment Supporters but clearly are not!!!!!Sold gun out from under me as I awaited UPIN!! Was noted by staff at time of Form 4473 filing. Always get put on DELAY and never DENIED and they were aware of that. Claimed to have tried to contact but no record of their phone number or messages. No Email as well, had a email chain with management on this issue!! If hadnt gone up to their store I would not have know gun was sold and they still had my deposit money. Wonder when I would have gotten it back!!!Will not honor 3 day Provision of Gun Law!! Hides behind Lawyers!!!Overall, would not give ANY STARS, and will actively discourage ANYBODY from spending a dime here!!!

Went shooting here for the first time. Nice range. The staff is very very friendly and informative. The store itself is a good size. They have a decent selection and variety. Prices are decent the range is indoor also.

My husband and i stopped in earlier today wanting to purchase a few guns. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I rented a couple and made my decision. Everyone who helped us was great! Very nice and knew what their stuff! Great experience! We’ll definitely be back!

If youre clean cut, adorned in your Sundays best they will wait on you hand and foot. If you look the slightest bit homely or impoverished they will look down their hooked noses at you, speaking in the most condescending tone. I know this because I have spent thousands of dollars over the past decade or more. When Im dressed as if Im going to cygnus they are more than happy to help. Though if Im in jeans and my carhartt sporting my full beard its as if they automatically assume Im attempting something nefarious. No longer will I ever be handing them my hard earned money. I will gladly pay hundreds of dollars more and be treated with common decency, than give the ungrateful management another dime. A little advice, if you dont like what youre doing in life to the extent it affects your demeanor. It might be time to find a new line of work, or in the elderly gentlemans case, retire.

Read the sign, waited outside, fella came to the door and asked what I was doing. Told him I wanted to buy a gun. He then went on about how it was an hour wait to get in and I needed to be patient like everyone else sitting in their cars. Also how is been like this for 4 months. Mind you, Im standing there not saying a word. Dont really like being spoken to as a child. Plenty of other gun stores in the greater Grand rapids area. I recommend checking those places out.

Contacted them about buying a gun. They wouldn’t tell me what was available and prices. I was specific on brand and minimum caliber size. All they would give me after the 4th time asking was full size from x amount and up. Asked one last time and specifically said I would take my business elsewhere. The response was have a good afternoon.

The team is friendly the selection is amazing. My problem is nobody there answers the phone I’ve been calling every day for a week to check up on my layaway and have not gotten an answer. They ask you to leave a voicemail and the voicemail box is full. I live out of town so I’m going to have to make a 2 Hour Drive just to have my questions answered.... again

Came to door to wait at wait line employee came out and said what are you here for I said just to look around for and was cut off by him say for what with a attitude tells me it a hour and half wait to purchase a firearm. I said Im looking for other things. Im told fine just please stay away from them firearms. Was not overly rude but had a differently passing attitude. My advise since its seems to be such a chore to take your money go else where.

Staff are generally very friendly. That said they do not take care of loyal customers. Ive bought guns, sights, mags, holsters, taken many classes and when I need 50 rounds of 9mm they said no. Only range customers only. I said I understand and Im not trying to hord, just need 1 box for a competition this weekend. They said sorry policy. Well, my policy is to go get the better price from another range or big box store from now on. Wont spend another $ there because they valued a possible range customer over my business. They also cant service guns that I bought from them. Frustrating.

Staff was very rude with the last handgun I purchased. Trying to get through now is a joke as they are NOT answering the phone. I mean at all you can wait on the line all day and they wont pick it up because they cant be bothered because there high call volume. There system kicks you off of hold to there menu over and over and over again. Their website is broken. So you cant call ahead nor check their website to see if they have what you are looking for. This store is a joke. Take your business else where.

About 1-2 years ago i had a horrible experience with my father here, we arrived during peak hours the staff was busy, no worries we were okay to wait, business being good should mean a good thing right?Well the second my father and I started speaking Spanish we started getting stared at by some employee, and following us kinda like looking at which aisle we were in and would move by the counter to see us. Eventually we got to the range and we had a blast shooting, we are both military so are experienced shooters. My father did make a mistake while leaving, the gun was clear and safe with the flag in the chamber and then carried the gun back to the orange bin. which was at the counter towards the back. While this happened next to us there was a guy loading a revolver at that same table which then proceeded to turn flag my father and I and then walk back to the shooting stall and begin firing. When we went to pay they informed us that we had committed a huge offense and said if we were to do this again we would not be allowed to come back. I waited at the store and when the man who flagged us checked out, got no warning and was told to have a nice day and come again. We left after and avoided this place like the plague.Well fast forward 2 ish years and it seems this place has improved immensely. I have had no bad experiences so far and the staff seem a lot nicer and dont seem to have a prejudice. I visited about couple days ago and felt like the atmosphere was completely different. The only reason why I give it 4 stars now is because i still have that bad taste in my mouth over what happened. I dont know if the person who originally treated us like that still works here or not but either way I say give a shot and try it out if you havent been here in a long time like me.

This place has really poor customer service. They seem to care less about selling you anything. Drove here from an hour away and had to wait a over an hr outside to even get in the door to look around. Once we got inside we had to wait again for the representative to get to us. After we picked a gun, we went thru the whole process of buying and ended up getting delayed (no ones fault here) and was told to come back next week because they were closing. Come back a week later and they tried to tell us we had to wait another hour and a half to get our gun thats they held for us even though the paperwork was all done. After the purchase they didnt even offer to sell us ammo for the gun. Waste of time. Spend your money elsewhere

My experience here has been mostly good. Industry standard pricing, huge selection. Not the best range in town, but its okay.Great CPL course. Cat and Whitney kick butt. Cat knows more about all types of firearms than I ever will.Most of the workers behind the counter are great, knowledgeable, and super helpful and happy to teach. I have noticed however that there are a few bad eggs.You may be treated differently based on your gender. My sister refuses to shop here, because she was disrespected by an older man several times, treated condescendingly. However, my mom loves to shop here because she gets preferential treatment from the same man. I would not recommend women shop here.

The place itself was nice, but the customer service there was really inconsistent. Some were pretty cool and down to Earth, and I enjoyed talking to them while I waited for a lane to open up. The others though were not pleasant at all. From the start they were condescending and generally unfriendly.The sights on the Beretta 96 A1 were way off (about a foot drop at 7 yards), so I tried to get help but no one was willing to take a look. When I went to check out and pay, I let them know that the sights were off and that they should take a look at the gun so the next customer doesnt have to shoot with messed up sights. I was not wanting compensation or anything, just simply to help.Thats when they got super condescending and defensive. They told me it wasnt the gun and that I was just a bad shooter and didnt know what I was doing (I grew up with guns in Texas and have shot more guns at more gun ranges than I can remember). When I showed them the very tight groupings I got with the Glock I had also rented, they then said the trigger on the Beretta was different, and I just didnt know how to use it. I told them that the Beretta 96 A1 was actually my favorite gun and that it wasnt my first time shooting it, by far. Without any other way to put the blame on me, they then tried to make a bet with me for $100 that they could get all 12 rounds on the bullseye. I just let it go after that. No point in arguing with them.After I had paid, I realized that they rang me up for a box of .45 ACP rounds rather than the box of .40 S&W I bought for the Beretta. After 5 minutes of searching they said that someone put it in the system incorrectly. They tried to convince me that .45 was actually cheaper than .40 (its not) so I was actually getting a deal. I was done arguing with them so I just said okay and left.I definitely dont recommend this place, especially if this is your first time at a gun range. A place like this can really make a first experience unpleasant and turn you off to a very exciting sport.

Ive purchased numerous guns here and countless in total for my collection. The only time I have ever been treated like family is when I knew the owner or staff personally, or going to Silver Bullet without knowing a single staff member. I worked with Jason today and he fully deserves a 5 star rating, as well as the doorman Jaylin they had to adhere to the restrictions due to the virus. Extremely professional, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful staff all around. Thank you for doing business the right way. Todays visit was to get my son the same gun that I learned on and Jason seemed just as excited as I was about it. I get goosebumps talking about how much this gun means to me, and the memories I have that I want to pass on to my son. I said this the last time I bought a gun there but you have a customer for life. Have fun be safe!

Came at 5, shop closes at 6 as say in the website and when I arrive it says till 10, quickly I was approached very hostile. Refusing service to me. For some reason I think he quickly judged me from my skin color, to how I dress and how young I looked, knowingly I’m of age but it’s okay. Ive visited her a few times, now. Ive never had an issue, pre and during CoVID 19 with the customer service or purchasing. Theyve been handling the 9mm shortage extremely well and arent price gouging. I dont know everyone elses experience, but this has been mine for the past couple of weeks.

It’s almost like they’re looking for a way to go out of business. This has to be the most poorly managed response to COVID-19 that I’ve seen from any store. I’d almost rather take my chances at the Cabela’s gun counter than go here. That’s a lot given the fact that I throw up a little in my mouth when I think of buying a gun from Cabelas. Barracks 616 from here on out. Way better staff and selection.

I live 1.5 hours away, drove to this place to look around. Directions on door say to wait outside until someone comes out to talk with you. Just wanted to see what was in stock. Was told all staff was busy and that they reopen at 10am the next day. This was 45 minutes before they closed for the day. Doubt waste your time. I certainly wont again

I would never shop here again. I called and asked if they sold delta rings sense I left a couple scratches on my old one replacing a hand guard and was told yes we do. So instead of ordering online like I normally do due to shipping times for Covid I drove 30 minutes to Grand Rapids to buy one only to get a lost and confused look when asked for one. I was dumbfounded and lost for words that the employee I was talking too SELLS GUNS and never heard of a delta ring... They do not sell them at all very irritated I was told yes then show up and they don’t have them.

Waited an hour for someone to come available. Sales staff spent their time socializing and never acknowledged our presence. It wasnt busy, just some folks jaw jacking. Went somewhere else.Update: attended again to give it another shot (literally) at their range with my wife. Wide variety of handguns for rent at reasonable rate. Range is clean, bays were solid, controls simple. Customer service was better this time with more employees on floor. Spoke with one about pistols my wife was considering, and he was both knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with, acknowledging both of us and speaking to her concerns and questions in a clear and concise manner.Range assistants werent terribly attentive or on the ball. First one took care of us well enough, but left abruptly, and another associate came to help but couldnt seem to remember to give us anything he had just said he would. Pleasant enough, just not really present.I amended my rating to reflect our most recent visit. Decent folks, good selection, prices were okay with some real bargains. Probably worth going, Im assuming first visit was just a fluke or odd day.

Ive been here many many times. Ive purchased guns here and I frequently use their range as its closest to me. These are good people. If you have a bad experience I suggest trying again and respectfully let them know what happened. They arent perfect, but they will work with you to make it right.

Unreliable and unhelpful salesmen. Using social distancing as an excuse to be lazy. After waiting weeks to simply pick up a rifle, I finally got a phone call and was told paperwork was done, I could pick it up and I would be bumped to the front of the line. I said Id be right down, then when I arrived less than 10 minutes later, I was told there was a two hour wait. They could have brought any papers for me to sign outside, but instead use the social distancing capacity as an excuse and do not even make an attempt to be accommodating.

First off, Im not a gun enthusiast. Second, Ive only been here once and it was the first time Ive ever shot a pistol. With that said, it was a neat place. I was able to shoot several different pistols and had a fun time actually. My only gripe was that costs add up QUICK. If you are a collector, youll be well aware of the costs. Aside from that, the experience was great!

Was there a couple of weeks ago. Did not start out well. Went up to a register to some girl working behind the counter. After several minutes finally acknowledged us. Said she was busy with inventory and pointed us to another register. Fortunately things got much better. The guy we dealt with was great. The range as good. If not for the initial encounter would have been 5 stars.

I bought a listed as new M&P shield but dragged my heels getting my conceal permit so it sat in the box for months. I finally got around to playing with it and found that it is obviously used. I understand that a round is fired in it at the factory but this gun was so filthy that the slide would unseat itself with the slightest pressure. I made the mistake of cleaning and oiling it before taking it back to them. If I hadn’t, they would have seen just how bad it was because it is now performing better. I’m still not happy that they sold it to me in that condition and called it new. I took it back expecting them to work with me and make this right but they did not. I take take full responsibility for the fact that it took so long for me to notice it. They probably just think I’m trying to pull one over on them. I bought it trusting in the fact that I was buying a new gun that should be in good working condition from a reputable gun shop. However, this was not the case. From my point of view they sold me a used gun in poor condition and called it new.

Horrible communication between staff and manager. Guy selling me ammo in the back tells me one thing manager completely says something else. If your a manager then make sure your staff is all on the same page!

I’ve had 2 great experiences buying guns at Silver Bullet. The process was easy, the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Not being a gun-enthusiast it can always be a little intimidating going into a range or store, but most recently when I went in a younger kid named Hunter was working. He asked if he could help me with anything, was super friendly, informative, and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid lol. Prices were comparable to everything I found online and I was in and out in about half the time I thought it would take! Keep up the good work SBF 👍

They dont let you in. Wont answer the phone and refuse to take my pistol I purchased from them for repair...so much for a lifetime guarentee. Damn disappointed and offended by how I was treated at the door

My husband and I took the first steps class with Rick B. He absolutely is a wonderful teacher. Patient, talks clearly, praises you when you do well. Took time with us on the range. We practice every week now, getting ready to purchase our own firearm. I highly suggest this class!!

Clean and professional atmosphere. They make you take a written test prior to renting firearms to ensure high levels of safety at the range. An unbelievable number of rental guns to choose from. You buy the ammo, they clean the fun when youre done with it! This is a great place to practice firearms shooting, as well as get a feel for a new model before making a purchase.

It was nice walking into this facility, I enjoyed watching people shooting new guns and I enjoyed the knowledge that they had. I was going to walk out with a handgun but I asked if I should take classes first before I purchase a pistol. The sales associate explain and give me pamphlets and told me yes it would be better to take classes before you buy your gun. I give them five stars just for saying that. I look forward to taking my classes this weekend. Thank you for taking the time I will definitely be purchasing my gun here.

Ive always had excellent customer service here. Sometimes the wait for range time can be long. But this is understandable. Aside from some occasionally poor quality shooting from myself, Ive never had a bad experience at Silver Bullet. I wish they had a 10mm for rent or a .357 SIG. Those are two calibers I would love to try out. All in all I have no complaints and will continue to utilize this facility.

Great place if you know what you’re doing. Beginners please do us all a favor and steer clear of this place. They have a vast selection and can order most products they don’t have on store. Smithing prices and quality is good. But if you don’t know what you want or are new to firearms they aren’t terribly helpful and let people that have no idea how to handle a firearm safely or shoot accurately.

Customer service is very poor. They talk to you rude and they barely wants to help you in the gun range. They pick and choose on who they want to help or they will tell you it’s going to be a wait. I would never go back their again. None of the staff wearing mask.

If you are a young male the owner will not show any respect and treat you as if you don’t know any thing about firearms. However the salesmen there are respectful. I would advise giving your money to a gun shop that appecriates the younger generations interest in the firearms sports.

First trip to Silver Bullet was a great experience. Took the quiz, rented a couple guns, shot targets, had a great time.The second time I went, the quiz was much harder with questions that were basically impossible for non-gun enthusiasts to answer. After waiting several minutes for an employee to get off the phone, he told me I got too many questions wrong and he would not rent to me.That is fine, I will take my money somewhere else.

The indoor range is a good place to get some practice in at a fair price. The staff seems friendly and knowledgeable. They highly emphasize safety, which is a good thing! If that comes off as rude, youre missing the point.

I ordered a firearm through this store and was told it would be a long wait due to production times and high demand of the rifle I wanted. After waiting almost a year and a half I went in to get my money back because this rifle was in stock at many different stores. The rifle I ordered was on the self, but I was never called or notified one had come in. Staff were nice, but somebody wasnt doing their job.

Brought a group of guys on a bachelor party weekend. They had mixed experience with guns and this place was perfect! High quality rentals and great staff. The facility was clean and well operated. Safety was well managed but not so much as to be annoying.Thanks for being patient with us!

Very poor service. Had $1,600.00 burning a hole in my pocket and they were not interested. Told me to buy gun on line and I should order the scope and have it sent to my house and mount it my self. Drove 11/2 hours. Never again.

Silver bullet gets a bad rap. The employees were a little rude my 1st few times but after having been there 20 or so times and seeing the other customers I understand their attitude.The indoor range is a bit aged but good if your not willing to drive to centershot.

I bought my bf a gun mag here and the spring binds up on it. We didnt know of the malfunction until a couple days ago because of covid and the lock down. When trying to return it today they said we couldnt because it was past the 30 day mark. We are regular shoppers here and we wasnt able to check to see if worked. Just thought it was bull.

Just got home from buying a CPL handgun for my dad and another for myself. Beyond happy with the service, care, and knowledge we got at Silver Bullet! The employees are all wonderful people (everyone I talked to was active/past law enforcement and knew what they were talking about) and was truly pleasurable shopping experience.I dont plan on purchasing from anywhere else after my experience with them. Only one negative for me was their range has a 7 yard minimum! For beginners it is nice to start a little bit shorter than that --still a 5 star experience for me though.

Solid range. Good staff. I do wish they had better safety standards though. Compared to other ranges I have been to, they are somewhat lax but not in an unsafe way.

I have now had the pleasure of purchasing multiple firearms, purchasing ammo, using gun smithing services, and using the range. The staff has always been extremely helpful and kind to me. Their prices seem to be lower than the same brand new items at the GR gun show, plus they include a lifetime warranty for all guns! They also have a great selection of firearms! I cant wait to do more business in the future!

Most things are good about this place, but it is annoying to have to have someone walk you back and stand over your shoulder if you rent a gun to use on the range (unless you bring a friend).And really, they are reluctant to do even that... On a day that was not all that busy, I was told I could only rent a gun for 10 shots, because the associate watching me was needed on the floor.Barracks 616 is better because they have someone stationed in the range.

Taught me everything I wanted and needed to know about personal safety, gun operation, safe handling, and basics. Highly recommend the first steps course, whether you want a gun or not. This should be mandatory for everyones basic knowledge.You can only fear what you dont understand.

Awesome business. The range is run safely, but at the same time you are not stalked and baby sat by range operators. The indoor range is very loud, was surprised there wasnt more sound bars to help dull the echos. But then again the shop offers great quality Ear pro. Great place to go shoot indoors, without being stressed out by range safeties, and great prices. Huge selection in the store, everything you would possibly need. Im from the Owosso area and will definitely be traveling back to shoot again soon!

Bought 4 guns at Silver Bullet and inquired about my 5. Was told a price over the phone and when I went there it was 20 dollars more and 70 dollars more than what I could get it at another store. I like Silver Bullet and really want to keep doing business there but if they cant be competitive in keeping there loyal customers, then its time to bring my business/money elsewhere.

I see quite a few bad reviews on here. Must be the competition. Love this place, never had a problem, more than fair prices and the crew at Silver Bullet has always been friendly and helpful. Thought Id share my experience and hopefully clear things up a little.

So far my experience has been great. Range quiz was typical for the other ranges Ive been too. Range staff was polite and helpful.

We did not have a good experience. There was a “bouncer” like guy at the door who called was not real friendly. Also they only sell ammo with a gun purchase so we weren’t able to use the range.

The gun prices are pretty much on par with most of the other shops in town but accessories, ammo, magazines and pretty much everything else are pretty overpriced. I understand these might be brick-and-mortar costs for a local location and I dont mind spending a few extra dollars generally to support a local business but when I can buy almost three Glock magazines online for the cost of one in their store, thats a little bit ridiculous. Also pretty much everyone online is selling AR mags for right around $8~10 dollars each, theyre $20 to 25 at Silver Bullet. I pretty much just order everything off of Amazon, eBay, Primary Arms, Midway USA and Brownells. That said their indoor range is pretty nice.

They dont answer their phones, even in the middle of their business hours. Wonder why people shop online? I prefer to stay local, even if I pay a little extra but not when I am not getting the right customer service..I think they have gotten so busy that they dont care anymore. Too bad!

This is definitely a hostile place for black people. I took my arsenal sam7uf there to get is zeroed. One of the employees automatically taught I had stolen it and I could hear their whispers, they even ask to inspect it. I was the only one that had been asked that at the time

Bought a 12ga Shotgun at the recommendation of the sales rep, put maybe 25 shells through it before the gun jammed, and the trigger assembly broke. Brought the gun back to the store within a week of buying it, was told they would ship it out for repairs. 7 weeks later still havent heard anything about the gun, and the store has no idea either. I asked for a refund but they are unwilling to give one. Do yourself a favor and buy from Cabels, their customer service and refund policies are way better.

Needed a place to shoot indoors. The range is nice, if you dont need to shoot farther than about 25 yards. Price isnt bad at all either.

Horrible! The employees are not wearing masks. I will never shop here again! Ordered a firearm and had it sent to the store. Arrived before they opened and was third in line and had to wait over an hour to go up to the counter.

Was on business trip and wanted to do some shooting after work, only range nearby that is open past 5pm. They wouldnt let me shoot since I was alone even though there are instructors and other people on/around the range at all times. Didnt even care that they effectively made me waste an Uber ride... Dont go here if you are looking to shoot alone.

Great selection of Guns, Staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you have a great customer experience other times you get ignored. But they do have a nice range that gets the job done.

I dont normally write reviews of anything ever, but the negative reviews here compel me to. Today was the first day I have ever held and fired a gun. Total noob. I went there around 3, fearing the rush and wait time I had read about on these Google reviews (and because I didnt want to embarrass myself in front of a crowd with my naivety).The staff was PHENOMENALLY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. We spent 10-15 minutes choosing some pistols to try out. They were very patient and answered all of my (many) questions in detail. I paid $30 for 3 guns x10 rounds, and they threw in a 4th free just for the heck of it. An employee came with me and taught me everything I needed to know. He then stood behind me, and added commentary with clear interest in helping me choose the right weapon. This was about 20 more minutes of his time. Oh, and he also labeled each target after I had shot it so I would know which gun corresponded to which sheet!Honestly, Im wondering if these negative reviews actually went to another shop. This was one of the best customer service experiences Ive had since moving to Michigan. I guess my advice is to take a half day off work and avoid the 5pm+ rush.

Terrible. Bad service. I went in with a shotgun all I needed was to get a pin set. super easy I already put it in with the mag release and every thing all set. All it needed was to get the pin locked in so it could not fall out. A week past the time they said it would be done (two weeks total) I called them up to see if it was done. it took them 20 minutes to find it! It was not done. No apology no anything the reason they stated on the books as to why I picked it up was that I changed my mind. I will not return to this place if it is the last gun store in all of MI.
