Fareway stores are slightly smaller than other chain stores therefore do not offer every product but do provide a good selection.The meat at fareway is some of the best around. Fresh cut and packaged by the crew in hats behind the counter.Usually quick check outs with management keeping an eye on the lines and calling for checkers and baggers.The baggers also offer to help you by taking your cart to the car and eliminate having to return your cart yourself.

The service was really good. I like how they take your cart out to your vehicle. Its those small gestures and/or convenience that can make a big difference than spending a little less money at Wally-World. The only thing I dislike is there fact that they put in automatic self checkout machines. Other than that the experience was tip-top.

Not as many grocery items as the 3 HyVees.... But without a doubt the meat department is better.

Fareway grocery store is a great place to shop. Very clean and everyone is very helpful!

Stuff is never prices right. The manager even accused us of moving the tag after we said it was no big deal we would get the jar of mayo instead of the squeeze bottle. Meat counter has really went down hill. Ill stick with hyvee.

Staff has always been great. Big enough to cover most of what we need. Small enough not to be overwhelming.

I prefer shopping at Fareway. Always fresh produce, shelves are stocked. Workers smile, and the meat is always priced at what you can afford. The Dubuque store is always clean. Excellent experience!

It was a quick trip in. Went in for just a few things. Got in and out fast. Their checkout clerks are fast and open lanes of there are too many people in line. Never have to wait long.

This is an okay grocery shop with an outstanding meat department. Only time I hit up this place is when I need meat. By far the best meat in Dubuque. The smoked pork chops are tops.

I like Fareway. My only complaint is being asked at check out if I want to round my order total to the next $ amt for a charity. Dont like that at all and fear being judged if I dont do it. I prefer to choose who I donate to, when to donate, and how to donate.

I love Fairway. It is not a megamart, thank God. It has food and a few other household items. The thing it has that keeps people going back is a meat counter. Good meat, good service and good prices. Yes the other big regional food market also has a meat counter, but ther the similarity ends. Fairway is better in all ways.

Nice selection, low prices, helpful staff. Closes a bit early and is closed on Sunday, so not as convenient as other groceries. Good place overall though!

I love love fareway, except today one of the gents in the meat department made me feel queasy. He grabbed about 3lbs of ground beef with his bare hands....he just kept clawing at it. No. I mentioned to the person up front and they just waved it off. Gross.

I’ve been to the JFK store in Dubuque several times, but unfortunately I won’t be returning. Literally every single time I go there, they are out of something I want and I have to go to another store to get the things I need. They’re constantly out of cilantro, herbs, salads and other random stuff. Today they were out of bacon. The store in Peosta is a lot better managed. It’s cleaner, stocked well, and has a better selection. Too bad it’s out of the way for me to go to. I hate to say it but I’ll be going to Hy-Vee, Aldi’s, and other stores instead.

Meat counter is always staffed by several people at the ready to get your fresh meat as well as deli meat together. Fareway matches their prices to local grocery stores advertised so you dont have to run all over town trying to get the best deal on your groceries. 3rd time in a row TERRIBLE service. Waited at meat counter for help, lady walks up behind me and girl comes right over and asks to help her. I left my cart sit and walked out. Called at 4:45 to speak to a manager and was told they were all gone for the day. I will NEVER step foot in the store again. Hy Vee much friendlier.
