This is typical Asian market where you get plenty of groceries and kitchen vessels from China or Asia.I have visited to buy fish. Certainly this shop impressed me lot. There are plenty of seafood varieties from the continent which are fresh. There are plenty of live cat fish and crabs. All are full and uncut. There are at least four who clean and cut the fish as pieces for you. Thats simply superb. They clean and cut so neat. You certainly love it!Since there are plenty of varieties you can buy according to your budget starting less than 2$ per pound.Indians can find plenty of fishes which you are familiar with.Five to ten minutes you can walkout happily! Go to place for your seafood!
Normally the employees speak a little bit of English but not in this store. Maybe they just feel more comfortable speaking their own language. So for customer service, I would rate them a 0.No one wanted to assist me when I asked for specific items location. They acted like they were so busy and they werent.I had to ask other customers where to find a product.Unorganized shelves and quite dirty floors. Needs a lot of TLC. Place smelled as well.Prices here are not competitive with similar stores in the area. I will definitely not be returning to this one.
Great variety great customer service can always find what Im looking for and lots more here highly recommend to anyone
Most unusual market I have ever been to. Asian food and likens is very different to me. Worth a look once though. Incredible. 💥😀
Ive only given the Asian market 3 stars because of your are looking for live or super fresh fish/seafood as well as various other Asian products then this is the place to go. However if you are English speaking then youre not going to get any questions answered. Also they have a $15 minimum for debit card which is 3 times the normal minimum of $5 that small places have. And this is also enforced if you use EBT for food items exceeding $15 but your cash doesnt.
A very well stocked Asian market with a wide selection of everything you would need. Abundant fresh food and a giant frozen section as well. Noodles of all types, spices, sauces, rice and other staples. A butcher and a fresh fish section (with live fish and other seafood). I could spend hours here.
This place is an absolute lifesaver for everyone used to Asian style home cooking. They have everything you need, plus all the stuff you didn’t know you needed but will buy because it looks delicious. Ex. this Japanese mochi red bean matcha ice cream dessert. They have an amazing seafood department, I always go for the salmon steaks, whole mackerel, shrimp, and crabs. They also always carry a huge selection of popular snacks for you to try! The vegetable selection is always stocked and you can always find what you need. Too bad the roasted duck/crispy pork counter is no longer available, I hope they reopen that soon.
Everything Ive ever wanted was there and it was nice! Staff was nice as well. I can easily drop 200 dollars here. Wont be going anywhere else!
I love this store! Always well stocked with phenomenal quality!
They have just about everything you need Asian. Big showcase of fish and seafood. Also, meat and poultry. Fresh Asian vegetables and fruit.
They have a lot of nice quality items. Always have fresh crabs 🦀 and fresh fish and veggies
Love this place! Seafood department is unbelievable. Huge variety of beautiful fresh seafood. Check it out!
They have a great variety of food, but I give it 4 Stars, because its dirty. The man who cuts fish wears the same gloves that he collects grocery carts with.
Awesome 😎 👍 products and prices 👍 also fast service 👍
I love to go through any Asian store and try different products (Except Duran fruit- stinkey).
There is one thing I’m searching for and that is CRABS, they always got them.TFW crabs are always fresh and clean
Heres a good spot. When I went in everything smelled fresh and clean. They have a great selection of fresh seafood. I spent about an hour in the store and found things I have a hard time finding anywhere else.
I like the store because all kinds of fishes I could find friendly and helpful staffs
Awesome selection and great prices. We always find awesome new things to try and great produce.
Extremely poor customer service. Especially at the seafood service area. The men working behind the counter look me dead in the eye as I waved and said hello, he pulled out his phone and started texting. Another stood there avoiding me until I walked up to his face and and waved for assistance. Didn’t speak to me at all and proceeded to cut the fish I ordered into very small pieces without asking me what size i wanted. I thought about walking away and not take the order but didn’t want them to use that as an excuse to treat other people who look like me the same way. There are other times I have been there and asked for help from a worker, they would either ignore you, shake their heads and walk away or act very annoyed with you talking to them. I understand they may not understand English but there are better ways to communicate this then rude response.
Was driving down route 9, thinking I wanted a lobster for dinner but did not have a seafood store in mind. Then I saw the Asian supermarket logo I recognized from Quincy and pulled in expecting the best seafood selection. This was my first time in this worcester store and it did not disapoint. Fresh live lobster, choice of live crabs, live fish swimming in tanks, seafood does not get better. Over 10 varieties of whole fish!!! This place is the place to go for seafood just like the other Asian supermarkets Ive been to. Great produce of all kinds, from many countries 🤠
Friendly service, amazing products. My favorite grocery store/supermarket!! :D
Good quality, but pricey
I never been there before and I went shopping today, after back home I found I was over charge, I bought two honey cake each, but I was charged three honey cake, and by that time I was the only one at the cashier register,I won’t believe they make a mike like that . Be careful when you shop over there
Best store Ive ever gone to, love their selection and the meats are the freshest Ive ever seen
Had what I was looking 4 at a gd price
This market appeals to me since it offers a wide range of things, including spices, sweets, household items, and meats. It was well worth the trip!
I like this market, great variety of products, from spices, sweets, kitchen products to good meets. Worth the experience!
Solid selection, leans towards SE Asia as one might expect. Produce was great, fish looked good as well. Looking forward to returning with more time to spend. Aisles for dry ingredients are very narrow, complicates distancing and shopping,, but overall very nice.
The variety in this store is AMAZING, and an incredible zero-waste find. You can get bean sprouts, seaweed, nuts, candies, large selection of fruits and vegetables, and every seafood in the book plastic-free! Also has every imaginable Asian condiment, ingredient, vegetable, or fruit at crazy low prices. They even have Filipino balut! The fish selection (and prices) are equally mind-blowing, and each is indicated whether wild or farmed, LOADS of live options too, every type of shellfish and crab imaginable. One of my top 3 groceries in Worcester for sure, so happy to have found this place.
Great selection of Asian foods. Fish market tends to overpower the senses.
They sell raw durian fruit. Never go back again.
No Customer Service. A business can have all you want and great prices but if they don’t provide excellent customer service, it can be the kiss of death. I just called to find out if they carried a couple of items as I don’t live locally (45mins to 1hr away) the person who picked up sounded annoyed at me even asking, stating that she’s too busy to go look and so is everyone else and for me to go and look for myself. I said, “well that’s great customer service, have a nice day.” I will definitely NEVER go to this place just because of this response. I wouldn’t even put 1 star but unfortunately, no option in order to post this review
I value this store for having groceries that I can not find anywhere else near me. Often, I buy fresh ginger root, lemon grass, chili garlic sauce, soy and fish sauces, and rice vinegar. The large daikon radishes are very fresh and reasonably priced. Sometimes I am adventurous and load my cart with the one-dollar bags of unusual types of discounted produce. I have done inexpensive cooking experiments with banana bud and lotus root. I find the giant carrots to be very sweet and tender year-round. I buy many for snacking and cooking. I find their carrots store well in the refrigerator. The variety of produce is interesting to explore and experiment with. I like all the interesting mushroom and cabbage varieties. I always buy their fresh cilantro, since it is high quality and reasonably priced. My husband loves the frozen dumpling selection. The seafood area is fun to explore. The shopping experience is as satisfying as my purchases. I am glad that this store is here.
Wide range of products. Clean. Display prices of all products.
This is the premier store in Worcester for a large variety of wonderful Asian foods. This store is awesome!
I love this place, they have everything you need. I lived in Korea when I was in the military and fell in love with a lot of food items. They have almost all of it!!
Found everything I needed and even more than I hoped for.
Good place to buy seafood
Love the things that you can find there, its always fun!
They sold a stink fish. Look fresh when about removed from the plastic bag you can’t Imagination of bad smell.
Great for fish, fresh vegetables, noodles, spices etc.
Such a wonderful place to shop!!!! Reasonable prices for fruits and vegetables!!!!! Fresh and product taking out if bad and rotating the product so freshness is first!!!!!! Meats are preparing for safety for you to bring home and good quality!!!! The staff are friendly and helpful!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!
Great variety and selection- fruit, produce, nuts and seeds, meat and seafood, refrigerated products like noodles and tofu, along with dry goods, seasonings+sauces and canned goods. Ive never left without finding everything on my list. Also a good selection of housewares and cooking implements. Its my go-to because unlike some other Asian groceries in the area this one has a robust selection of Japanese, Korean and Chinese foods along with Vietnamese, Thai and even a few South Asian items. Always decently busy, with a mix of Asian and non-asian customers. Abundant parking.
Neat..and they have a wide variety..spacious and adhere to COVID protocols..loved it
Very nice, great selective n of fresh fish
Very clean and organized, fresh produce, and a wide variety of products.
I am always got cheated in this store. Every time I buy groceries here, there is always something missing. First time I bought 2 bags of candies when I got home, Its not in the bags. Then I bought 4 pieces of balut or eggs, the cashier punch 7 pieces. Meaning I paid more.I did not notice the receipt until I got home. Today the canned sardines that I bought there are 2 cans missing again. Theres a lot more that I forgot already. I hate double checking the receipt versus groceries in the bags. A lot of work. Watch out!
Sells expired products, smells horrible when you walk in, and you get overcharged. Going downhill unfortunately.
Produce is excellent in both quality and selection. I am not the right person to evaluate seafood. The meats seemed to specialize in odd cuts, like organ meat. Less focus on cuts more familiar to mainstream American culture. I was happy with the teas and herbs. The herbs for tea brewing were especially well represented. The porcelain dishes are the normal Asian market selection, but its rare to find dishes in a grocery around metro West. Ive been looking for a place that carried them since I use Asian rice bowls often. Good candy and junk food selection. Dried and pickled also seemed well represented. Bathrooms were mildly terrifying, and only thing that keeps me from five stars. Will come back here again.
Some of the Best Produce and Fish
Love this fish market.
Great selections of everything food wise..Prices are good also.
Great variety of fresh seafood and vegetables. Just a great place to stop and shop. Give it a try.
They got oxtail and goat yall.. if you willing to spend that
A large and well organized Asian market that has interesting food items and kitchen needs. There are many varieties of teas, interesting pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables. I will go again and spend more time. Should I need to replace a pan, I would go there. Truly a worthwhile experience.
Good seafood market. They do have a variety of seafood! Beware of other produce as some are expired and have dates altered. Also ladies at the counter inflate the price . Read over receipt after purchase.
Fabulous Fresh Produce and Variety!
Produce and fish are amazing
From fresh live seafood to every dry good u could want from an Asian superstore.
Its like willy wonkas factory, but for chefs!
Great variety of foods.
Great. Many things to buy
Asian food market has a large selection of all Asian cultures food, including but not limited to Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Their produce section is only outdone by the large selection of to order seafood.
Place to get fresh fish and vegetables for your soups and oriental and African dishes
My go to ramen place
My Asian lady friend/roommate loves going here. One minus point is that they most likely fired the chef to the cooked meats section that was in the back of the store in order to save money, because at first they stated it was under renovation. Now the cooked meats section seems like its closed indefinitely, due that the sign is no longer there after a year and theyre using that kiosk space for more stock space for their items. Shame...My girl felt it was worth the half hour drive their for their cooked meats alone.
Some really tasty foods that are hard to find at other places
I will definitely come back.
A large variety of Asian goods. Veggies are mostly fresh and of good quality. Ample parking. Prices arent too bad. location could be better. Only if they have fresh bakery...
They never answer their phone. They answer I dont know to every question and they keep hanging up the phone. Theres no point in coming here if you dont know what they have and they sure wont help you.
A great place to buy sea food, especially live crabs! And I bought some pork, veg on the first day they open, quite fresh. It is so nice to have a such Asian Supermarket around. Dont need to drive one hour to Boston for fresh sea food anymore.
This is a great welcome to Worcester. The selection is great and they have good produce. The parking lot accommodates many cars so you never have to worry about parking. It can be a little dark in there with their lighting but not a deal killer. You can get vegetables that are not avail in other markets so that is a plus!
Good selection, great prices on produce and seafood. A bit expensive on dry goods and frozen food. Many great imports from Asia that Ive missed. Definitely recommend shopping here if you want authentic Asian ingredients.
Great fresh produce options and a wide variety of groceries.
For Chinese live in the metro west, now there is not need to drive to Boston to get fresh Asian vegetables, and other cooking ingredients. The store also has fresh meat and seafood section. Prices are pretty good compare to Boston but much more convenient.
This asian supermarket has great selections and terrific produce plus they currently have a few different varieties of delicious Asian pears. Great selection of ingredients for Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, - you name it. Their fish market is top-notch as well
An overdue review! This store is a fantastic addition to Worcester. I hope it builds a long legacy here. The employees are very helpful and work to bridge any language barrier you may encounter, so dont be afraid to ask for help if you need it. This store offers a huge variety in a clean, open and non-intimidating environment. I especially like the selection of dried spices and the seafood department. Its a great place for more advanced cooks as well as beginners. Check it out and be inspired!
This is the largest Asian market in Worcester. If they dont have it you will probably have to order it on Amazon. The only thing they lack is ready to eat food. They used to sell cooked pork and Peking duck and maybe they will start back up if enough people know about this gem. They were literally cutting up a fresh pig when I was there.
Never been here in my life, but Google thinks I have, so screw it. 5 stars. A++. Would shop again. Or for the first time. Whatever, Im sure its fine.
The place to get Asian & Indian ingredients. Its a hike to Worcester but, worth the trip. We go up there quarterly to stock up. Very good range of products & prices, especially the produce, meat & seafood. Recommended.
Very large selection of Asian ingredients. Very large selection of fresh fish, vegetables, and fruits. The staff is very helpful with any questions I had. I highly recommend shopping here!
Have a variety of sea foods to select from.
Great prices and huge selection
I love the produce here!! Most items are significantly cheaper than other grocery stores (by a lot)!!!! I bought a wok and the cashier explained how to take care of it and to get better use of it!!! Great place!!
Good prices. While Im not Asian, i like to try all different kinds of ethnic food and i find this place great for trying new things. Plus prices of salmon, cod, fresh vegetables and other common foods are very reasonable.
Fresh live fish and lobsters !
Great selection of Asian food with a wonderful selection of fresh (live) fish. You cant go wrong here!
Beware of additional charges of things you didnt even purchase This is my 3rd time visiting this market and Im not a big grocery shopper, but every time when I visit here I get charged for over $100. So this time I decided to take a closer look at my receipt. Sure enough, the older lady at the register had charged me $20 on mushrooms which i didnt even purchase (Im allergic to mushrooms so i would never buy them). Long story short, Id say to AVOID THIS SHADY BUSINESS. There are other honest markets in the Worcester area that are worth going.
SO happy this opened up. Not that I dont appreciate the smaller ma&pa asian markets- I do. But this obviously just has a bigger variety and I dont think even the large chain stores can compare to the freshness/variety of the seafood here.Very clean, tons of options. Could easily get lost in the variety- happily.
Good selection, especially of fresh produce. Primarily Chinese, but also a good mix of Vietnamese products, and some Korean and Japanese as well.
