The great staff at BIGPOWER located the necessary part that day, had it special delivered and installed the next business day. I was recommended by the manufacturer to fix a warranty issue with my Kohler generator. After 2 months of emails they stopped responding. When I called they gave me an attitude and told me that if i didn’t purchase the generator from them then they will get to it when their customers are taken care of after given multiple time they said they will show up.

There may be things that you see as a customer that makes no sense to you when having an electric motor rebuilt but they are done like this for a very specific reason. After speaking with a few rebuild shops about my motor issue, these shops wanted to just replace the original type bearings. Bigelow Electric brought up a very good point that I really thought about before contracting with them. The fact that my motor had and required a certain bearing, they recommended a new design bearing which literally solved the issue. I spoke with one of their motor technicians and found him to be more systemic, and calculated. We had a great conversation about electric motors, new bearing types and my particular application. Now, we no longer operate the motor of and on in between our normal cooling periods. Thank you again guys.

They came out for initial visit and never responded to various contact attempts via phone and email for recommended service on our generator.

I saw a post about Bigelow Electric in Worcester and had to add my post also even though I almost never post on the internet. When I arrived at Bigelow Electrical I happened to pass the owner of the company. I didnt realize this at the time however; he introduced himself as Scott Bigelow and asked if I was being helped.I explained I had a rather large motor on my flatbed and he came out to the truck and looked at the motor.He actually went into great detail about the motor and the original manufacturer, their history and even a few changes they made on the design. I must say the owner was like a walking computer of knowledge when discussing the motor. He then asked me to come into his office and pulled up a few drawings and went into great detail about the working parts and the design.He then brought in a person who worked in a room called the winding room and we discussed a change that the manufacturer had done to a thing called a rotor and a stator.After this meeting it was clear to me that I had the older design and I could get a much better productivity with a couple changes in the motor. I received a written quote in three days and approved the quote right away.It’s been about 6 years now and the motor is still going strong. Thank you again all. Well needed a circulating pump, all I had for reference was the housing, and motor information. I hoped that service counter could help fill in the gaps, boy was I wrong all I got is where is the pump information and sorry we cant help you.
