I have owned a S40, a S70, V70 CX all of which were serviced at Cliff Street Garage. Ray has the BEST Volvo repair shop in the area by far! His experienced Volvo certified mechanic, Scott, is top notch. He is a no nonsense business owner. Ray has many Volvo parts in stock and will replace with OEM if you prefer. He will always diagnose & then call to confirm what work you want them to go forward on. They are straight with me which is refreshing considering the run around I have received at other places. His prices are competitive and you wont get soaked for non-essential repair work. Satisfied customer!

Used parts were installed without my permission and consulting, I was simply informed on the phone. When I asked to reinstall my old parts back, I was demanded by the owner Raymond Holton to pay labor 1hr $100. I was threatened to be charged for a week of parking - $100 a day, including 2 snow days when the test result had to be ready. Snow, I was told is my problem. This mechanic couldnt work on the car because that was snowing, but Id be still charged for a parking there, including those 2 snow days.Bill for replacing spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and badly used mass flow was $162, plus labor 3 hours = $300. The owner ignored the printed list of most expensive genuine Volvo parts I brought to him which were almost twice cheaper. Every unknown part that was installed by this mechanic needs to be taking out and maybe replaced. Mechanic said its Bocsh parts he installed, by couldnt provide any prove. Replacing all these parts can be done within an hour at most, I was charged for 3hr. That was an extremely unpleasant experience. I ended up paying cash $325. Although, I drove to this shop with no obvious problems, but on the way back the car would die below 30mh, or at stop.

I brought my daughters Volvo in because it wasnt shifting correctly. She lives in Montana but had driven out to visit me. They had quoted her anywhere from $900-2500 to get it fixed in Montana. I brought it to Ray and he worked his magic and got it shifting correctly for under $325. She drove the car back to Montana without incident!! Ray is a Quality mechanic with old school practices. He does the job right without ripping you off. Excellent work at a fair price. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone with a Volvo especially!!

Two separate visits each cost effective and fast.First visit was to replace driver side rear view mirror on my Volvo wagon. Cliff Street Garage had the matching color replacement in its inventory and was able to do the work while I waited. Cheaper and faster than another estimate.Second visit saved me money too as they realized replacing the spring on my gas tank cover of the same Volvo wagon was all that had to be done rather than replacing the cover completely. Once again they diagnosed it immediately and did the work while I waited.Will definitely return to Cliff Street Garage

If youre looking for a used Volvo this is your place. Located them via a Craigs Listing. The sales guy was great and the owner who does the body work on these cars is a no nonsense straight shooter. As he says I cant stand b.s And theyve got a 20+ year Volvo expert mechanic on site full time. I looked at a beautiful 2006 V70. Brought it across town to have it checked over independently. Brought it back to Cliff St. He agreed to address the minor issues the independent guy found. 30 Day warranty. Great price and value. Highly recommended.

Very rude wouldnt recommend this place at all found him on a website and asked him if he could help me with my van and got told its Sunday u got me out of bed i dont work on sundays and only work on volvos and hung up on me very rude and not professional
