Stay away from this place! After using them multiple times with decent work and detailing completed - you would think that you have built a “relationship” with someone and they would be trust worthy, think not…. My car was a total loss years ago and my insurance carrier paid me for the loss and said they would not be taking the car because it did not make sense to them as many parts were not salvageable and that 290 could keep it and do as they please with it. The owner Justin kept the car hostage and would not let me take it off his property until he got paid storage fees - he tried to charge storage of 100 plus per day for 200 days. Legally you cannot change storage fees in excess of what a vehicle is worth!! Imagine getting a bill for approx 20,000 - what a joke! This was a 2003 Honda Civic! LOL this was 2016-2017 - one can only hope things have changed since it’s 2021!

Car looks great. Justin and the team did great work, kept me informed all throughout the job and went above any beyond, cleaning the interior and sprucing up some rough marks. Came to 290 Auto Body on a recommendation, and they have exceeded expectations, becoming my auto body of choice and will be recommending them to others.

Haven’t left a review since the car got fixed in Aug last year, I wanted to see the quality over time. All I can say is, probably the best body shop in Worcester area. Not only great paint job, they did paint less dent repair as well. Take a little longer than I expect but quality is always more important to me. Will definitely come back.

Im a pain in the ass customer for an auto body shop, my car means the world to me. I had a thousand requests for things to be done a certain way, and each was met. From the very beginning Justin and his team were beyond accommodating. The amazing receptionist even stayed 30 minutes after her shift was over without saying boo about it to make sure I had everything squared away the first day I came by. After the car was dropped off communication was maintained throughout the entire process. Justin GREATLY helped when dealing with the insurance company and finding a repair that met my needs. My car was backed into by a delivery truck and needed a new front bumper, headlights, and other random parts. I requested that the bumper be sprayed/replaced without blending the bumper into the adjacent panels for various reasons. Google turned up horror story after horror story of body shops not being able to match Subarus World Rally Blue pearl without blending [not that I would normally recommend this], but when I asked that the repair be done this way I was met with pure confidence on 290s end that they could do it. Within about a weeks time of parts coming in I had the chance to pick my car back up, and I was amazed that I absolutely could not tell the difference between the new bumper and any other panels of the car. They matched it perfectly. Attached is a photo from last week. I waited a few months to write this review because sometimes you will notice things about the repair you dont like weeks/months down the road. I have not found anything to lead me to believe that my car had ever been in a collision. Every screw, clip, and tab is exactly where it should be. Nothing was rushed or half-assed. Without a second thought I would recommend 290 Auto Body to anyone who can make the drive/tow to the shop. Courteous, highly skilled team that does phenomenal work. A+++edit- after reading the few negative reviews here I urge anyone to take them with a grain of salt. Justin spent what felt like hours on the phone with me, the insurance company, and even 3 way calls. They made every effort to contact me as soon as possible with any updates. There isnt a thing I would change about their demeanor and how they conduct business. They are for the customer.

My project was different than your average collision repair and I hadnt heard of 290 Auto Body before this experience. I am building a Factory Five kit car and needed to find a body shop to do the bodywork and paint. On the recommendation of both Factory Five and a few other builders on their forum, I interviewed 290 Auto Body for the work. Right off the bat I was very impressed. Justin spent over an hour on the phone with me answering my questions and assuaging my concerns. They have done many of these cars over the years so their body of experience was definitely a plus. Before I dropped off the car I knew it would a long process for them as they do this type of work on top of their regular collision repair work. I left them with the car and assorted parts they needed. They kept me up to date with progress and let me stop by to examine the prep the body needed before paint. These are hand built fiberglass bodies which require a lot of massaging and fitting before painting, so prep is very important. Their painter also spent a lot of time with me selecting the colors for the car. I knew I wanted the customary blue with white stripes but was amazed at the number of options available. Their painters guidance helped a lot with the specific color selection. Where they really came through for me though was on the level of completion of the car. Commonly with a project like this the body is removed and reinstalled several times after the paint for portions of the final assembly. I explained that once painted I had no intention of removing the body as the body fit is very specific. That and I didnt want to risk any damage to the paint once I got it home. Justin and his team went above and beyond for me as they did some of the final installation of some components for me. When the car was ready for pick up I was able to come to the shop and inspect it first. He also let me spread the payments out over a couple of weeks. Lastly he opened the shop on a weekend so I could pick up the car. As I work in a job with a lot of customer interaction I put an extremely high value on customer service. Justin and his team exceeded my expectations greatly, especially as I was selecting him unknown for such an expensive project. I have several other car projects in the queue that will require paint and body work and 290 Auto Body will now be my one stop shop for all of it. Thank you Justin for all the great work you did!

I brought 4 cars to 290 Auto Body over the years. Every single time I was blown away at how perfectly they did the repairs. In every case I couldn’t tell were the damage was done. Good luck if an adjuster has to take a second look at the vehicle and considers it a total loss. That happened to me and there was a charge for $4537.49 for 1 hour of dismantling vehicle. You might think good thing for insurance yet they dont cover unreasonable fees which I agree who gets $4,537.49 for 1 hour of work thats outrageous. Beware you might end up with a extraordinary bill for absolutely nothing.

Just had a claim fill with 290 autobody and got the car back looking better then when I bought it. All work done is top notch and no corners are cut. My insurance company was originally a problem and 290 handles them great and made them do what all insurance companies should do and pay for the work that was needed. I wouldnt go to any other shop.

I brought my car to 290 Auto Body because of a dented front bumper. My husband hit a large rock at the end of a driveway, He couldnt see it because it was a severe rain storm. The team at 290 helped me understand my options in deciding whether or not to file an insurance claim. The car was dropped off on Tuesday and I was able to pick it up on Thursday. They were fast and efficient. Adriane handles the front office. She is very friendly and went out of her way to make sure that everything was handled efficiently. I received my car back today and was very pleased with the new bumper. They washed the outside and detailed the inside of the car. Thank you for a job well done!

I was given a rental vehicle compatible with my vehicle, it was fixed in a timely fashion. They really go the extra mile. I brought my car in on Monday for repairs to the hood and I had my car back by Thursday afternoon. Not only was the service fast, the staff are all incredibly friendly and really do put the customer first. They sent me email alerts to notify me where my car was in the repair process, and not only was the repair perfect, but they detailed my car and cleaned the inside so well that if my presets werent in the radio I wouldve sworn they had replaced my car with a brand new one! Wow. I honestly don’t think I would have known what to do without Justin’s guidance. My car was hit on the side of the street and I was frantic. I called 290 Auto Body and Justin quickly picked up and told me exactly what to do and have AAA bring the car to his shop. This is my second of two great experiences with 290 auto body, the first was to fix an indentation and the second was to replace side view mirrors. The side view mirror project was done today and when my car was given back it looked like a new car! They did a complimentary detail cleaning and the mirrors look like when I purchased the car. They are incredibly friendly and were nice enough to bring me to and from the Starbucks down the street while I waited. They gave me a price upfront which was certainly fair and ultimately asked for less than the quote! Great place and I highly recommend them to anyone needing body work on their car (I have posted the same review on BBB)

Back in June my Honda civic failed me for the 1st time since I purchased it brand new in 2004, the only mechanic I knew moved out of state. I was in total panic over where to take my car to get fixed, how long will I be without my car and of curse how much will it cost to fix. I did research about the problem with my car. I read numerous reviews of body shops all over Worcester county and contacted couple auto repair shops to get quotes (including the highly overpriced dealer). I decided to take a gamble with 290 Auto after reading some reviews; in all honesty I was very skeptical over the many positive reviews. All the auto repair shops I contacted gave the same diagnose, but 290 offered better price. One thing I was very pleased with the fact that I was not treated like the stereotypical woman getting a car fixed, everything was explained in detailed and they did not mind my questions. The service was professional and efficient. My car has been running beautifully since June without one single issue. I sincerely recommend this shop. Very grateful

I wound up at 290 auto body after I found their good reviews online, and they deserve them! I had some bad experiences at the local dealership and from my first phone call with Justin I knew it’d be better here. Justin and his team are great, honest and trustworthy - always keeping me informed. He was a great help in dealing with insurance - especially after my insurance said the car was drivable and repairable; they worked to have the adjusters out time and time again because they were not comfortable fixing the car safely for the amount the insurance wanted to be paid. It ended up being a total loss after ~3 months, but the team at 290 made the process a lot easier! Thanks again!

I seldom write reviews but I was very happy with the work done at 290 Auto Body. Justin and his staff were very courteous and professional and the repairs were completed very quickly. I was extremely happy with the repairs and the price was very reasonable. I did not go through Insurance so I thought the cost would be higher but I was pleasantly surprised!They provided a written warranty so its obvious that they stand by their workmanship. Pretty impressed with their work, to say the least. I had my hood, front bumper, right fender, and headlight assembly all replaced. When I picked up my car it looked like new. To boot, they replaced my headlight and taillight for me as a courtesy and also did a complimentary (and absolutely fantastic) interior detailing. Five stars all around.

Just a great body shop. All members of the staff are professional and on the job. Have had to bring two cars here. One was my fault and the other was not. They handled everything and even managed the return of my rental. The quality of the work is top notch. The cars were returned cleaned and detailed.

I got into a small accident & was hit from behind last month in April. I chose 290 auto body because people I am close with have brought in their vehicles to have work done & they was always happy. (First)the place is very cute & clean when you walk in & the receptionist is very nice & welcoming (second) I received an e-mail for every process my car was going through to keep me updated & I appreciated that (third) when I picked up my car, the work that was done came out GREAT, but my car was also washed & cleaned I was sooooo excited because I wasnt expecting that. They also placed a mug with the 290 auto body logo on it in my car inside the cup holder area & I thought that was cute. I highly recommend this place!!

I was in an accident, and they handled my entire claim without me having to have much interaction with the insurance company. A tow truck was sent to my house to take the car to the body shop, and 290 set me up with a rental car. They always kept me in the loop throughout the entire process making sure I understood everything that was happening with my vehicle. I really appreciated that they were able to get factory parts for my vehicle as the aftermarket parts quoted by the insurance company did not fit properly. Also, they touched up a few chips and scratches on my driver door that was not part of the accident. I would recommend this shop to any of my family and friends. Thanks 290!

I had a terrific experience with these guys! Justin was ever so knowledgable and flexible. I was referred to this place by my Honda dealership, and what a SAVE! My car looked brand spanking NEW. They even did some front work on my bumper where it had popped out somehow. These guys are terrific I cannot express it enough. Easy to get to, parking is a very small issue but they are in the city so that is expected. I got some great detailing on the inside of my car. I will be referring them to all my family friends in the area that need work on their cars.

I’m relatively new to the area and hit a parking barrier. It cause a screw to come out under my front bumper. The rattling noise drove me crazy. I called 290 to set up a time to come and the sweet lady at the front desk encouraged me to come whenever I could. I got there and my car was taken right in. We had great conversation while the work was being completed and the manager came out and handed me the keys and said the work was on the house. I truly appreciate the dedication 290 Auto body has for their customers. I had an awful experience with the insurance company of the woman that severely damaged my vehicle by smashing into it and leaving the scene. To no fault of my own, it was just ridiculous how this insurance company was treating me. The man that took estimates for my vehicle lied to me numerous times about my claim process. Just picked up my Sienna today and could not be happier with work and service from this shop. The van needed a new sliding door and they walked me through the process right from the first conversation. Although they send email updates, they are also happy to take your call to provide more detail on where things are and how much longer you can expect. They are very knowledgeable about the insurance process and help you understand how it will go and anything that you need to do as part of it. And when I picked up the car, it looked practically brand new! I couldnt believe how clean it was. When my vehicle was in an accident about a year ago I didnt think twice about going to 290 auto body. The process was very easy. Justin kept in constant contact with me. Was always available to speak with me. When I picked up my vehicle it was perfect. Absolutely spotless inside and out.Recently someone banged into my bumper and scratched paint. I went to 290 again and Justin remembered me and did not hesitate to help me once again. I highly recommend 290 autobody.

Im a longtime and forever customer. The quality of work cant be compared to, from painting my personal cars to this time dealing with my insurance company so I didnt have to. I sent the car there and he dealt with the whole deal and I got it back in a very timely manner. Justin and his team are some incredible people. I brought my Jeep to him after being t boned in Worcester. He kept me or my fiancé informed the entire time about what was going on every step of the way. Darren had come across a leak and coincidentally came across “repairs” that Exceptional Auto Body said they fixed, was paid to fix, never fixed from a previous accident in Feb....some arguing with my insurance company and a lot of patience I was able to have the guys at 290 fix the damages from the previous accident. 290 Auto Body was amazing!!! They fixed my car to make it look brand new again. It even smelled new when i got in. Justin and his staff are great. They went above and beyond to help me get my car fixed and returned as soon as possible. Justin also dealt with my insurance company, who did nothing but give me a hard time every step of the way. Insurance companies are paid to help if an accident occurs, but my insurance company was not helpful, so good thing Justin helped me out getting everything done. Being able to text any questions through my phone to 290 was very helpful since I work during the day. Overall I was very satisfied with the work AND the customer service i received from 290 Auto Body!!!

Awesome repair shop and the guys did high quality work! Helped me take care of everything involved with the repair of my bumper. They called the insurance company to get a re-appraisal, set me up with a rental car and frequently kept me updated with the entire process. 290 Auto Body is the best shop in the city!!! I have a 2010 Toyota Camry with 80,000 miles on it. My car was rear-ended in September, The person who hit me was excepting full responsibility for the accident. After the appraisal my insurance totaled the car which I wasnt to happy about. The first settlement they offered me was around $7,000, They also told me my rental was only covered for 30 days and I would have to pay all the shop fees. My insurance then went back to the shop to appraise the damage again slowing up the process. I spoke to the shop owner Justin Forkuo he informed me my car was worth more then what they were offering. Justin helped me to negotiate with the insurance company. By now it has been over 45 days so I was already over my rental coverage and the $35 a day charge was racking up. After working with Justin me and my insurance finally came to a settlement. I received a check for $9,250 which is the full value of the car! I had to pay to fix my car from the settlement check. Justin fixed my car in less then a week for an amazing price. The insurance company also paid for my rental car until my car was fixed which was a total 53 DAYS, 20 DAYS OVER MY COVERAGE! and they paid 290 Auto all of their fees. If it wasnt for Justin I would have excepted a lot less money for the settlement and had to pay all of the rental and shop fees myself. Justin made a bad experience of getting my car totaled and turned into a very smooth one where I received everything and more I deserved . I am a 290 Auto customer or life!

I wanted to thank Justin & the team at 290 auto body AGAIN for making my car like new! I brought my car there a few years ago and was extremely happy with the work done to my vehicle, so when I was in a fender bender this past year I decided to go with 290. Justin fought the insurance company for me after they wrote down we were to receive counterfeit parts for my Nissan Maxima. Justins shop is one of the only repair shops in Worcester that is Nissan Certified and he got my car the parts and attention it deserved! He explained to me that if I was ever in another accident or even a small fender bender with the parts he fought for....I would be just as safe now as I was when the car was brand new! I just got my car back from 290 Auto Body and it looks amazing!!! My car is a lease that I have to return next month. I brought it in for a bumper repair and Justin was incredibly helpful. They took care of everything with the insurance company which really helped make it less of a hassle for me.When I picked it up today, I saw they had buffed out all the scratches (even the particularly bad ones that I was worried about getting gouged for by the dealership) and detailed the inside!!!I would recommend them to anybody - best experience with a body shop Ive ever had!

Dont let the Google reviews fool you: 95% of them are FAKE. Written by the OWNER. This place is horrible, HORRIBLE! I got my car towed to this place for an estimate and they tried to take me for every penny I had. Wanted to charge me $1,500 for a frame pull (nothing else)... was going to do the rest of the work myself. They even told me there was going to be hammer marks all over my car. Hammer marks? Im no expert, but that doesnt sound right...I took my car elsewhere and got charged $400 for not only the above work, but to have the rest of the parts installed also. I would NEVER recommend 290 to anyone, ever. Owner is a thug who shouldnt be in the auto body business. I feel bad for anyone who takes there car to these crooks. Unprofessional.

I am not only impressed, I am extremely appreciative to have conducted business with Justin and 290 Auto Body over the past few years. Recently I had an issue with my Jeep Cherokee when it wouldnt start, Justin guided me through the process and saved me a bunch of money, even though he didnt do the work, he was completely honest about all of my options. You just dont find that nowadays. I know I can trust 290 because they tell it like it is, no matter what.

I was without a car for just over two months. Very poor communication with the insurance company and appraisers. Also in the end my under carriage had some wrong parts that didnt fit as well as parts that were missing. When I presented this to them they said they would call when the correct parts arrived which they never did. I usually dont bother giving ratings but because i chose this company due to internet ratings I feel it just to post this.

My own insurance company told me not to put in a claim went to Justin he put in my claim for me and fixed the whole thing ! Don’t know what’s up with my insurance lately but go to Justin !

We brought 290 Auto Body a very difficult job, remove a 3M protective Adhesive from the front of our motor coach and repaint the entire front of the coach.
