My daughter who is 15 favorite places. The only thing I would say that was a down fall for me was that they did not have much for a 4 yr old to paint. I was looking for little things for her to paint. They had some in a little bag but it was all the same. They need variety!

I come here all the time! The store is very clean and well organized, and staff is friendly and helpful.

Best place for crafting. Knowledge staff eager to help you find things. Anything you need for painting, making seasonal decorations, crafting.Good covid procedures. Was there 12-2020 and they were counting people going in and limiting access as well as requiring masks.

Stuff is everywhere you think it is, but it isnt. Staff doesnt know stock, so you mostly have to find it on your own. Customer service is there, if you can find them. Product quality is good, stuff is usually always in stock, unless its specific paper you want to use. Not enough employees to cover the floor.

Very good to excellent quality items at semi-fair prices. I mean, you need to be aware of the price elsewhere, before you commit tho buying here. Some stuff is tagged way off. Other things are reasonable. The staff is courteous, friendly, and fairly knowledgeable. Conveniently located between target & best buy stores means you cant miss it.

I go with my family and we end up having so much fun at home using the thing s we get!

This place is awesome! The place is clean, and workers are fast and very helpful. I love the displays of discounts right as I walk in. My first favorite, which I have a lot of but won’t list them all, are the variety of “how to do” books ...how to paint, how to knit, how to make jewelry, and more. Second, I love the assortment of creative kits and educational stuff for kids. Last of all, I love getting my personal journals or academic calendars here, a little more money (unless on sale which happens all the time) because their covers and colors are so unique. Highly recommended!!!

I love Michaels. Ive been going since the 90s. Spent a lot of money then, and still doing that today. But hey, I love to craft, my way of keeping busy, and its a positive vice. I should have bought some stock back then, I would be rich by now. Always love the deals, cant beat those coupons. .

As far as craft stores in this area goes this is one of my favorites. They have a wide variety of art supplies and other cool things. You get help from their friendly staff if you ask for it but for me, they leave me alone while I am in thought but are always pretty near by if you arent tall enough to reach the top shelves or dont see a color you want or whatever the case may be. The staff is fairly knowledgeable about products they carry but if you ask for something they dont know about they know exactly who to ask or learn about it for you which is pretty rare in stores that have so many locations honestly. They have great deals/specials from time to time and the sales have inspired me to try new things that I had been unsure about previously.

I love Michaels I visit them no matter what town or state Im in. This woodland location I never felt so disrespected labeled judged. I was fallowed around the store the employee who did made me feel so uncomfortable. I am surprised Michaels corporation would run a chain like this.

Great place for all your crafting needs. Wish they didnt do their discounts with a little piece of paper that I always lose. Time for them to keep track of how much you spend and your discounts earned so you actually Get them.

Clean, busy and well stocked except for what I came to purchase. Their website indicated that they had a specific item in stock. But it wasnt to be. No one seemed to know where or when it would be delivered. This doesnt happen often though. For the most part, it is a great craft store.

The store is clean and well-stocked, but we had a kind of weird experience. We went in to buy some cans of spray paint, which you need staff help to get. No problem. We asked a staff member for help who, I assume, was price-checking some shelves. She asked us to just push the call button and someone would come help us, which was fine. We ended up waiting there for a little while, maybe 10-15 minutes, pressing the button occasionally in case they just forgot about us. Finally, we just got kind of annoyed and left. Not a big deal, just kind of irksome.

This is a very large store. They have a wide selection of crafts from scrapbooking to flower arranging. They have a lot of crafts that would be good for children, like small wooden crafts, painting, and velvet color posters. They have a decent yarn selection. The parking is good, the wait at the cash register generally isnt too long, and the employees are nice. They also have crafting classes.

I am new to Woodland, CA so when I decided to shop locally, I went into Poppies Gallery and Dora was so sweet and helpful. The things she sells in her shop are made by talented artists. This is a good place to find unique gifts for family and friends.

Love all the crafting supplies here, but a little pricey. Staff is friendly and some are knowledgeable in crafting. They also have custom framing at this location.

Staff here has always been great, they are always nice and very helpful! They often have good deals, but can be pricey at other times. Its a must for me during holiday seasons, they usually have plenty of options for Easter baskets, stocking stuffers, Halloween decorations, ect...

I went during the day, mid week and found what I needed with no delay. Store was clean and cashier very nice.

Good location but I feel like their prices are on the high side. I love coming here looking for small Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. Little stickers and craft supplies always seem appreciated by family members.

I went in to find some adult coloring items and this rude woman worker with short hair middle aged kind of manly or (butch) if you will, followed me everywhere around the store as if I was going to steal something. Just made me feel so disrespected and she was awfully rude following behind my back with my children with me. Sad to see some people are still racist and I am not supporting this michaels wish I would have got her name.

My sister and I went in today (not for anything specific) and as we were shopping I noticed that multiple employees were just walking by and watching us. I thought to myself am I being watched like Im stealing? And then I thought no way. I am a manager at a retail store so I know the tricks of watching potential shoplifters. All of sudden, a worker starts following us around like theyre doing go backs! Mind you, we dont carry a purse, and we have no pockets (we were wearing leggings) so Im thinking to myself do i look like sketchy person? At this point Im beyond offended. We did nothing for these people to believe we would steal. Sorry I wear comfortable clothes on my day off and dont look like I have money! Needless to say I will be shopping online and not in store. 2 stars only because I love the backpack I PURCHASED!

They DO try to help you to the best extent they can with locating items and the best prices. Don’t expect perfection or full attention on a busy Saturday afternoon with a sales clerk - they are typically helping 3 other people while helping you. Don’t ask them where each and every kinds of “frog” stickers are. Look for yourself in the sticker aisle. However, this is a WELL organized and well stocked store for a) the size of it and b) for the fact that their workers aren’t standing around. I see them neatening up constantly, re-stocking popular areas and you’ll never have to search for a cashier - there is always one at the front.Michael’s is great for beginners to intermediates in most crafts. They carry great calligraphy pens like Staedler & TomBow. They have different sized knitting needles and crochet hooks. Mason jars and spray paint to make those cool colorized carnival glass jars? They’ve got it. Last minute project? They carry California mission models, poster board, display boards and most shades of thick Sharpies. Need a TomBow Dual Paint Pen in Shade N15? They very likely have it. Paints? They’ve got a great selection for beginners in watercolors, acrylics, spray paints, etc.If you need more advanced in certain DIY- go to a local paint store or a fine art store near Sac State to pick out your exact shade of coral paint, the exact grit of sandpaper at a hardware store, 100% acrylic yarn in a particularly dyed shade? Go online to OfficeDirect.online or to a local Joann’s. They don’t carry very much fabric, much in sewing needles, etc at this store - that’s all fabric stores and sewing stores or the bigger Michael’s Stores in Sacramento.Be prepared to pay for those last minute items and kid projects that are due the next day. What kind of craft store doesnt have fabric by the yard.. And outta tbr million employees ususlly hovering over me when i go there i had 2 go up front n wait in line to find out they didnt sell fabric by the yard :/

I have been a customer of Michaels for a LONG time, and I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life that Ive been angry enough to not return to a store. Everything was fine until checkout. The cashier, Maria, was in a hurry to get everyone out the door(it was closing time). I had an item that was on clearance, but didnt ring up the correct price. I brought it up to her, and she was very angry. I had double checked the sign and the item number, and my husband saw the sign as well. She rolled her eyes at my husband when he backed me up, told him that she highly doubted we were right and mumbled Were closed...I dont have time for this. We ended up leaving our item behind. I will never shop in that Michaels again.

If I could give 0 stars, I probably would. Customer service is as bad as the other reviewers state on here and Yelp. Workers stand around doing nothing and radio each other to bad mouth customers, especially that one worker Cheyenne as if the customers dont see it.
