We just had our hardwood flooring installed on our entire first floor and it is stunning! First American Carpet & Floors is top notch! The customer service, quality and installation services are superb and the prices are the best in the area! Some key highlights of my experience:I researched and received numerous quotes before coming to First American Carpet & Floors and from the moment I met Goli I knew I wanted to do business with this company. She was wonderful at taking what could be an overwhelming task, (there are soooo many selections, colors and types of flooring) simplifying it and making it enjoyable!The next day after meeting with Goli I met with Fred, the nicest man you will ever meet, at my home (which was a few weeks before moving in) for measurements. He brought the samples I had picked out the day before with Goli, took photos of them in my house and talked me through my final selection. From there, Goli found us the best possible deal which allowed us to afford the inclusion of our stairs in the installation! She put a hot rush on the order so our floors would be installed starting the first day we moved into our new construction home.On the day of installation, Derrick met us before the installation crew arrived and talked us through the process while addressing any questions and concerns. Once the installation crew arrived, Derrick introduced us, walked them through what needed to get done and they were immediately off to work.Finally, I would like to comment on the installation. Carlos and his installation crew were extremely professional and hardworking. It was a very big job which should have taken 5 or 6 days, but they finished in 3 days(including Easter Sunday)…a credit to how hard that crew works! The quick turnaround did not impact the quality—the quality and workmanship is top tier! Lastly, they were very accommodating since we were also moving in while they were installing the floors, working around us like it was no problem at all.Thank you for the beautiful flooring! Superb job! The builder grade carpet in my home was on its last leg after 6 years. First American Carpet & Floors came highly recommended, but I still got several quotes. Dont even bother with Home Depot & Lowes, they were by far the most expensive. A couple of other local carpet installers had very competitive quotes, however First American beat them all, and was able to install within a few days. Excellent Product (Mohawk Carpet & Johnson & Johnson Luxury Vinyl Flooring) and the installation crew was quick and efficient. I love my new flooring!

Very impressed with this company! They have a location in Woodbridge and one in Stafford as well. I worked with the Woodbridge location. They have a beautiful showroom with lots of carpet choices and other flooring as well, though I was specifically interested in carpet. Derrick is the gentleman who helped me and he was great to work with, very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. I highly recommend!

Selection, order and installation was done in a timely manner, we are very happy with the end results. Installers were professional, knowledgeable, and flexible throughout the entire process. The installers arrived on time at 9:00 am, got started right away and stayed on top of the job from start to finish, actually got done ahead of schedule. Clean-up was outstanding, the steps and railing looks amazing. I highly recommend First American Carpet and Floors to get your flooring project done.

Shady business practices. I met with the rep to get a quote at my property. At the end of reviewing my home he gave me a price to remove and install carpet, which was a cost of $3,500. He told me that I needed to pay the full amount in order to start the order. I told him that as a standard business practice, deposits are made for product and services. He advised me that they do not take deposits for orders under $4,000. I then told him I dont pay the full price for product and installation before the work is completed. He refused to take a deposit and walked out the door of my home. As a plan B, I drove to another carpet flooring store in Woodbridge. I received a quote and paid a $1000 deposit. Work will be scheduled in about 2 weeks. Never pay for any contracting services in full upfront before work is completed. His actions raise many questions to me. He clearly did not want to do business with someone who looked like me, a black woman. I would never recommend using First American Carpet as a carpet and flooring vendor.

First American Carpet and their team were wonderful. Their options available were plentiful but most importantly, they didnt try to push anything. They just showed me the options available and let the quality sell itself. Also most of their products are made in America so during this time of crisis, its good to know that we are helping to support other national businesses. I highly recommend giving them a call. In 2016, I had First American Carpet replace my carpet with hardwood (app. 350 square feet) and they did an excellent job. When I purchased my dream home in January 2020, I knew I wanted to replace the standard carpet with quality hardwood. I reached out to First American carpet again, not only because of the quality work they did for me before, but for several other reasons. First, Derek, who is one of the owners, is honest. He will candidly provide you all the information you need to make an informed decision. He will inform you of risks and offer mitigation options. He is meticulous. He will explain the process in detail, oversee the project, and follow up for quality control after the project is complete. Second, but I think most important, are the team of floor installers, who are super efficient, super fast, super motivated, and super courteous. I had a 7-workday estimate to complete 4000 square feet and they worked over the weekend to ensure I had extra time to review their work in order to make any corrections or adjustments I needed-absolutely customer-focused. Their attention to detail is exceptional. Lastly, is the quality of their products. I have beautiful hardwood floor and every repairman that came through my home in the last two weeks (I had about 8 so far ranging from the Verizon technician to the furnace repairman to the plumber, electrician, and even the project manager who built the house), made a compliment about how beautiful they thought my floor was. I made a great decision to hire First American Carpet to replace my floors and I would recommend them to everyone else without hesitation for any project large or small. They are professionals, know their business, and perform high quality work.

We had our ceramic kitchen floor replaced with a laminate flooring. The installers were efficient and careful to control the results from breaking up the ceramic. Derrick’s advice on color selection for the new flooring was “right on”. We have an unusual color kitchen cabinets and they went out of their way to match the shoe molding to the cabinets for a beautiful custom look. We highly recommend this company.

Goli is great! We replaced the carpet upstairs and added a runner on the stairs; it is beautiful. She made great recommendations on quality and colors, all for a great price. The installers were professional, on time and did a great job. We just had the first floor and upstairs painted, the installers were very careful and took extra care by putting down extra padding and covers to protect the walls and hardwood floors. I highly recommend First American. We will use them when we have the basement carpet replaced this fall.
