I purchased a brand new Suzuki Boulevard from them in 2008. I was told by the old woman and her son that my first oil change would be free. Well when the time came, she had a bad case of “I never said that and I wouldn’t have told you that”. I left there very po at the fact that she looked me in the face and lied not once but twice. I will never enter there place of business again. I ended up trading that motorcycle for something much better. I won’t deal with a business that shaded, where the other lies to the customers. I don’t recommend their business to anyone! If I could give them a zero I would.
I had serious electrical issues and they sorted all out. Small and smart they are excellent on maintaining your Suzuki.
If you want to talk to the experts you need to go to suzuki of Winston Salem. They are miles better then all the others. Years and years of hands on experience. Dont waste your time and money with the other dealers.
Good people and great service. The Family is friendly and helpful w any problems you have !!! 52 years in business for a reason !!!
Professional and always on the up and up. Great spot. Good people.
They dont sell any new motorcycles here. They also wouldnt even consider patching a nail in the tire of my new Suzuki motorcycle. Im not entirely sure what they do there. Youre probably best finding somebody more competent work on your motorcycle, or somewhere that actually has motorcycles to sell.
Looking at the other reviews, we had the same problem. The older lady is down right RUDE!! We went in to have some warranty work completed on our four wheeler. She refused to have the work done there unless we purchased it with them. We were not rude in any way, but she responded RUDELY and it was UNNECESSARY. I dont care how old you are, you treat people with RESPECT in any customer service. Especially if you are a family owned business. She told us not to let the door hit you on the way out. We will not return here for ANYTHING. We will make sure all of our four wheeler friends go elsewhere. I hope she understands the seeds you sow, you will also reap. We should have read the reviews before even giving them a chance.Bottom line, this business is not worth your time!
If youll notice, all the negative comments posted come from folks who only care about the cheapest price on everything they buy. When it comes to riding something that can kill you if not in good condition, I prefer the best instead of the cheapest. Whether its bikes or tires, people travel all over to get the cheapest bike, when they have Suzuki of WS right in their community. These folks service what they sell and they keep a loyal base of customers that buy from them. They stay busy every day taking care of these loyal customers. If you decide to buy the cheapest somewhere else, be prepared to return to that dealer for your service/warranty work. They dont mount tires bought on-line or somewhere else because of liability concerns. If you know how to, you can look at the date a tire is manufactured. Those great prices you get on some tires may have sit around for years waiting to be sold. Suzuki of WS orders tires that have current dates and the vendor will back their tires should there be a blemish/problem.Its hard enough to find a good mechanic and Tripp is one of the best. Tripp will do whatever it takes to keep your bike running and on the road. If you want these folks to stay in business, then buy from them and youll be treated like family. Ive been buying from them since 1991 and enjoyed every minute of it. Try to get into any other dealerships service area and see how far you get.
These people were very nice to me, when I only needed a small fuel filter. Price on the package was nearly four bucks, and the gentleman took three and said thats fine. I was going to buy a piece of fuel line, and he looked around and just gave me enough my job. People are griping about the old lady - I thought she was cool.
Best place ever
Seventeen years or more my son went to the Suzuki of Winston and got a new four wheeler . In a day or so he tore it the frame up hitting a sewer culvert . They Winston Suzuki helped him get a new frame and put all the other parts on the new frame;;; They were so kind to my son I went back and got me one in 2002. They are still the only place we take our Suzuki,; they do very good work and will not do things I do not need;;;
I do all my own work except tires but when I need parts this is my go to. Suzuki of Winston Salem is part of a dying breed of shops. Old school may be to modern a term, heck they might not know what a computer even is but I personally love it. It reminds me of the simpler times I missed out on. People complain about the staff being rude... again oldschool. Advice is roll with it and have some patience theyll take good care of you. Side note this is THE PLACE TO BUY TIRES. Secret is they sell rubber wholesale and only profit on the mounting service.
I purchased my 2005 Suzuki from Tripp back in 06 they have done all my service work on it. I also had some custom work done by them. Aways excellent, I couldnt ask for a better family run business. Thanks for all your work youve done for me.
Skip and his mom have been here for years. My son and I just started riding and Skip has been invaluable in helping us with the bikes we have. One isnt even a Suzuki and he is helping us with it. I looked at the negative reviews, they sound as if they are folks trying to get something for nothing. I assure you Skip will take of you, if you let him. I will not go anywhere else.
I called to see if I could talk to someone about bringing my RM 125 in for fork repair. It sounded like a old lady I talked to and she proceeded to tell me they only help customers with parts who bought the parts there. I told her well since my bike came from there years ago I assumed I would call back for repair help with it. She said NOPE, call the place you got the parts from. Nice service, these people should close the doors now. Im telling everybody I know not to buy anything from Suzuki Of Winston Salem.
Small Town FeelThis is an old ma and pa shop its a bit small but as far as I could tell the gentleman running the shop was kind and helpful.Upon arriving he was aiding a customer load an ATV into the back of a truck. He seems to genuinely care about his shops community.I was inside for a good 10-15 minutes before anyone spoke to me. So go with the flow in here. The new stock seemed a bit over msrp but you need to make your money somehow. He didnt inspire confidence at first however, like an older manual cars transmission it takes a while before he starts opening up.He could tell me the stories behind past customers trade ins and the used bikes in stock. He is quite laid back and friendly. Letting me try on the helmets explained the dot and ece certifications. Talking about what bikes have abs or dont. Care was made to feel the experience comfortable. The prices are pretty good Ive seen better prices in shops quite a far ways a way but if you live close youre paying for the convenience of a close shop and by the looks of his hands he works on the bikes so a mechanic as well. You will get a 1 on 1 experience here. Youll be looked after much more than at most dealerships.Remember youre in the south so be respectful and remember they are an older generation the woman in the shop didnt speak to me but came out of a room and at first looked surprised then scowled at me. You may get a vibe from her.All and all its a quaint little shop Im going to save up and come back but youll have to step in to understand yourself.
Tripp and his mother welcomed me as a first time customer as if I had bought my bike there and was a long time customer. I have 1996 Honda XR250R and Tripp respoked the rear rim, mounted new front and rear tires and replaced the bearings. He did a great job and the price was right. Here in the near future I will ask him to rebuild the top end and I have no hesitation that he is the right man for the job. Thanks again Tripp.
These guys are great. I was looking for some a specific valve shim for my Suzuki GS500. I tried every place in town looking for them. Finally I called them up and they said they had a lot of shims and asked what size I needed. They went through every shim they had with a caliper until they found the right thickness for me. Not a lot of people would do that for just a couple dollar part, but they did and I appreciated it. When I asked, surprised, if he didnt mind going through every one to find the right size, he said Well, Ive got it and you need it.When I came in to pick up the shim, we talked for a little while about what bike I had and bikes in general. They were really nice guys and seemed down to earth and knowledgeable.Ill definitely be taking my bikes here in the future for any work I need done.
Great place with friendly people and knowledge of the products...
I recommend this place to any body they got me what I needed and squared away they really treat you like family.
EXCELLENT service and attitudes. REALLY great people. Will save YOU money.
Had a 2002 Marauder I bought from Forsyth Motor Sports that had trouble with. Forsyth never fixed right so I took it to Suzuki of WS. Trip helped to get it running properly. Traded in for 2008 C90T. Good price and trade in. I have a couple of older bikes hes helped me with. Reasonable price. Bought new tires from them and price was competitive. Get to know them and theyll do you right.
Went in today to see if I could get the speedometer on my 1 month old DRZ400S fixed. The first thing this rude old lady asked me was where did I buy my bike from and told me to take it the dealer I bought it from to be fixed. When I asked if this was a Suzuki dealer and if they were not going to honor Suzukis warranty she tells me itll be 3 weeks before I can get my bike looked at (obviously an excuse to get me out of there). This is the 2nd bad experience Ive had with them and I honestly went there hoping they had sold their business and Id be dealing with new owners. I really hope Suzuki authorizes another dealership in Winston-Salem or my next bike will be a Yamaha or Honda. From reading other reviews I see Im not the only one that has been sent packing by these rude people, its a shame that Suzuki puts up with this kind of behavior and is totally unprofessional.
Honest, and trustworthy, took my Dr650 in for service, asked them to service and repair the bike, and I only had 500.00 dollars, and stop at that price, They called me back told me it was ready. They did all of the work I had asked them to do, and a bunch more, for 286.00! Way to go guys!
Very unfriendly and would not change my tires on my dirt bike because i didnt buy the tires from them. I will never call or try to use them for any services again. And this is coming from someone that went to school for motorcycle mechanics and have worked in motorcycle shops besides my own. Thanks again sorry not sorry
Great help, was terrific. Gave out genuine information not just a salesman.
Laid back atmosphere but professional. Great place
Great customer service all staff was nice as can be ! treated me like family and that goes along way in my book thank you!
Fantastic bunch . Lots of experience and friendly too.
I was in the market for a new GSX1300R and priced on at the Winston-Salem dealer. I shopped around and found the exact same bike at the Albermarle, NC dealer for over $1000 less and bought it from them. I rode it back to Winston-Salem and soon had battery problems so I took it to the W/S dealer where a big goon with thick glasses looked at me an told me that as I did not buy the bike they quoted me, therefore this goon would not help me with my new bike. I informed them that all Suzuki dealers could handle warranty problems and that as a dealer he should take care of warranty problems. He told me to leave the dealer, dont come back and told me that he hoped I crashed and effing killed myself. True Story!
Good service, honest answers, reasonable prices.
They really treat you like family.
Nice place, its small and limited selection, friendly staff
Doesnt mount tires unless you buy them from him dont waste your time calling
The service I encountered here was beyond terrible. I walked in last week to get a new radiator for my 2004 Suzuki GSXR 600. Before I had gone in I found the part on ebay for $110, but did not buy it yet because it would take 5 days to ship. When I walked in the door I was met by a very rude old woman. She quoted me $755 for a new radiator?!?! Is she insane??? Who would pay that??? I then asked her what the part number was. She refused to give me the part number!!! How rude! All I want to do is ride my bike lady. Thats ok I will take my business elsewhere. I have already told my buddies who ride GSXRs to go to Kevin Powell as well. DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!
I dont care what the other reviews say great bunch of guys and always get what I need for my bike and if they dont have it its usually in next day. I couldnt think them enough for the help and service they have given me.
Will not mount tires unless you buy them from him. Go to wall to wall if you want to be treated like family.
The old woman is rude as hell. When I showed up needing a tire mounted she sent me packing because I didnt buy the tire from her. Last time I ever deal with this place. Why Suzuki even associates themselves with these people is beyond me.
Family owned, every customer is treated as family
Nice people, older stock
These guys really took care of my four wheeler and me! I would recommend them to anyone!
I had a bad experience with Suzuki of Winston Salem NC took my atv in to have breaks fixed carburetor cleaned new seat cover put on well they called me yesterday said it was fixed the bill was $489 they broke my parking and said it was broken before I brought it in I know that it was working when I took it to them will never do business there ever again period
