The staff were really nice and helpful. They cared about me as a customer and I would definitely comeback here again.

In response to Shalisha Moore, Uptown Cheapskate is a great store specifically because they are wary or the items taken in. They make sure items are in great shape and gently used. I was a customer in the store while items were being reviewed, Mrs. Moore didnt allow employees to explain why items were rejected which was because items were too used and had a scent of cigarettes, she instead rudely interrupted employee while in the middle of explaining and stormed off.

Pretty cool. There’s a funny man from Brooklyn here. Friendly employees. Overall great experience. Y’all r trippin ong🗣💅🏼

Have gone here for years and never had any issues. the last time i came an employee was EXTREMELY rude about masks and told me and my friend we weren’t allowed unless we found one, when made clear we didn’t have any they told us to go into the marshalls and get one from them, when marshall’s didn’t have any for the public, we went back and they said we had to find one or have to leave. if she would have been respectful i would feel differently. i’m very disappointed. we went to catos and they were very kind and gave us one so we did get to go in eventually. while shopping this same employee snapped at a man about not having a mask when he was CLEARLY walking towards a woman (probably wife) already holding a mask out for him to wear. and ANOTHER group of 2 girls and told them not to take another step unless they put one on. not to mention giving attitude towards me at checkout and treating us poorly the rest of the time in there. yeah don’t think we will be back for a while… I recommend Goodwill and Plato’s, much better alternatives:)

Only reason Im giving it one star is to leave a review what is the point of having stores like this if they never buy anything that you bring in I will take pictures and leave with this review and they said they couldnt take it from the wear of the shoes. It makes no sense for the stores to exist and they dont hold up to what their purpose is.

I have been coming here for months. All of a sudden. Its different associates there and Now my clothes smell like mildew. Which is offensive . I freshly laundered my clothing that morning. They also said my purses and bags are old or too damaged when I just purchased 2 of them last week. I will definitely stop coming here. They literally picked up my tote and called me to the front. . Their excuses are very vague. I told her I use dreft detergent . Which is super sensitive, hardly any scent . She said Ive never heard of it . Basically telling me that may be the issue. Wow . If I could give a negative score I would. Not coming here again.

Waste of time! I brought my clothes to sell and said they would only take 4 items and tried to give me 16 dollars for items that were in excellent conditions! This was my frist time going and never going back! Literally, they scam people to buy your clothes for less than what its worth and sell it for more value the store. Dont sell.

Was told it would take about 30 minutes to go through my gently worn clothes from mostly Old Navy. They call me to the counter and told me they couldnt take old navy anymore but had old navy pants on several racks, the same as a few pair I was trying to sell. I took my clothes back. This was my first experience and I will NEVER be back to any stores.

Overpriced. Might as well just buy brand new clothes. Go to Platos Closet WAY better and so is the pricing!

Came in to sell some stuff, was informed it was the last hour, so i had to wait in store. That’s fine. Told the young lady i had to turn my car off. Immediately came back into the store walking around. Was told 30 mins, was almost an hour for this young lady to tell me she can’t take my stuff because when i went to turn my car off i was gone for a “significant” amount of time. I was inside the store the entire time. Even had customers attest to the fact that i was in there walking around. She said she called my name, judging by the way she spoke to me, she clearly whispered it. Even employees walked by me numerous times. Horrible customer service. Waited almost an hour just to be told i wasn’t there! Will never come back, and will make sure no one i know comes back as well. I will give my business to Plato’s closet when selling clothes and shoes!

Seriously dont understand how they choose clothes, I dropped off a bin yesterday with some very good almost never worn clothes and a pair of NEW stilettos (they were a gift but never fit) and they refused everything!! There wasnt even that busy traffic going on in the store. I was shocked and confused, I know 90% of the items were in GREAT condition and still in trending. If youre looking to get rid of unused clothes for money, its better if you sell them yourself online or a yard sale.

Employees are not held accountable for not being professional or by telling false information. Dont ever expect to get a refund even if you were told you can. The store owner with the managers will do NOTHING AT ALL. Customer satisfaction is not their priority, theyd rather indirectly call you a liar then to help you concerning their policy & employees. A complete waste of plaza space.

Selection is great, changes all the time. People are helpful but not overbearing which I like a lot, and the deals are great. I do most, if not all, of my shopping here and Im always getting compliments on my clothes.

Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars i would me and my friend went shopping here and we also sold some stuff to them first we came in and they told us it would be a hour and 15 min wait to sale stuff and we had to wait in store we said okay so we shopped the whole time and got a couple things we’ll they only gave me $9.25 for 4 things then after they gave me the money they didn’t give my and my friends stuff back we didn’t think anything about it and was still shopping and went home and realized they didn’t give us our stuff back so I called up there and they told me that it was MY FAULT and said it would be donated at the end of the night I live 30 mins away and had to work the next day and the manager told her they could hold it for one extra day till 8pm well I got my friend to go she drove 50 mins the next day at 5pm and they told her they already donated mine and my friends stuff and told her they told me I had till the end of the night which was a lie I do not recommend this place and I don’t think I will ever go back they didn’t even after a discount for doing that to us and some stuff was brand new in the box they are absolutely awful

Meh I wanted to like this place better. I went to style encore, uptown cheapskate, and Platos closet in the same day. I was least impressed by this store but I will say they offered me $10 more for my items than platos closet. So if you selling maybe something to consider.

New assistant manager is awfully cheap on pricing. I sold 5 items for $9 - thats $1.80 each - they used to pay better!I would say Platos is better, but some of their newer people act very snobby and also give you next to nothing.

You can find gently used clothes for little money. Looks ritzy. Nice

I liked this place. But they need to lower the prices. Its used clothes, shoes, and accessories. You shouldnt charge items like they are new. Please lower the prices!

Not good experience bought a Seattle Jersey two months ago from this place took it back to sell to them when bought I paid 45 dollars took it back they offered 7 they tried to make up xcuses why they couldnt at first take it they need to be trained instead of a select few they will take with out looking, was not happy with the way I was talked to with was like I was nothing I ask to speak with a owner but they made excuses why I could not to complain how these girls and guys are not running there business properly so I will not rate them but from several other paying pupils that go there is not rating them good at all not a place to do buissnes with unless your popular or have higher standings at this time still reaching out to the CEO and owner with this concern along with others

Just wanted to share, I took my late wifes clothes there in several containers. Was going to see what they would give for store credit for my kids. Dropped them off (it was probably 6 containers) and within an hour they called and said they were finished. So I went back to see and they had not even looked through them. They said they were to outdated. I know for a fact there were several pairs of maybe a month old Banana Republic jeans and shirts. Just thought it was a little rude and obviously a bit of laziness. Thats my two cents. Will not visit the store again!

Horrible. went to go sell clothes yesturday, filled out the small paper they have you fill out, they told me they would call me back in 30mins to an hour. they never called me back. i called the store today asking if my clothes were ready and they said they had finished it AND automaticaly processed it as store credit RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING. insane. they didnt even care to ask if i wanted cash instead of store credit (which i did)went to the store to at least get my clothes back, some different employee said they had already donated it to “charity” due to a signature i had made at the bottom of the paper. but then they say they supposely found my bin with my clothes, they were all MENS clothes. i brought in all WOMENS clothes (mom’s,girlfriend’s,sisters)needless to say, never selling or even going there again cause they are trash at their job and cant even dress to save their lives 😂😂😂

They had an interesting selection of used clothes, better than a good will but most of it not the sort of thing I would wear.

I brought in some of my a&f clothing to get some extra cash. Some of the items were not even a year old. The clerk took some clothes out and left over a half of them in the bag saying they looked old. First off, the way they dress is to laugh at. Secondly a&f clothing is very durable and some clothing can be raggedy looking but thats just the style. Needless to say, I only got $27 for 1 year old brand name clothing. Dont go to Uptown Cheapskate, its a complete waste of time!

This store should just shut down and start over. Let me start with the clothes, most of the time when i find something i like i realized oh theres a hole, theres, a stain, button missing, or something along those lines. Being on a budget and finding dresses and clothes for work/school its a shame they dont consider that when examining the clothes they buy. Needless to say I went to the Winston Salem store on a hot day to buy some shoes (i was wearing boots at work) and it was HOT so i ran there to buy some work appropriate shoes that werent so hot. By the end of the day my shoes were broken. I wouldnt even be so annoyed with this place if it happened once or twice, however this has happened way too much and your just as good off as going to goodwill.

Ah man, just go. Endless savings on name brand appearal. From levis to hollister, to h&m and more like polo ralph lauren. I spent just a little over a 100 dollars on 3 nice pairs of levi jeans gray, black, and khaki. And 5 name brand shirts polos includes. They do discounts. They do layaway. They do birtbday specials. They have kids and mens choice. They answer phone calls. Youll be in and out, so dont worry about that. Real deals. Real savings. For example: I paid 5.43 for a polo rl polo t. And only 64 dollars only 3 pairs of levis.
