Well Ill start off by saying Ive been going here since they have been open during the pangimmick. Ive never had any issues besides the over priced items.. I went in 10/11/2021 and was met at the door asking if I had a mask. Of course I do not bc Ive not worn one this whole time nor do I wish to be made when not actually required. Winston-Salem per cdc exemptions anyone can deny the compliance of waring face masks. However Im not going to waste my money let alone my time on people that are so high on useless authority that they think they can actually tell me the laws and push communism. 🤷 But these sheep dont want to hear any actual facts and evidence...

Good selection of product and staff was friendly. They even checked us out in an outside booth to speed the process.

Prices are much higher than those online. Better to shop from home. Nice little finds but not a very welcoming environment. Felt more of a bother than a guest. Store is very tight. Bigger space would definitely be beneficial.

I was surprised at how helpful the young employees are. Not that I didnt think they werent helpful at first, Id just never been somewhere with such hospitality before. Amazing, will be shopping here again!

One of my favorite stores to go when I visit Hanes Mall! The deals and prices of their Funko! Pops is reasonably priced and are kept in great condition compared to other retailers.

Took my daughter there to buy a birthday gift. Not really my speed but she loves it.

Awesome staff! Everything was well organized considering how small of a store it is. I needed help finding three items and they were knowledgeable of the items location.

I think they need to move this store in a bigger place. It was so crowded we didnt stay long. There was a line that I didnt see and walked on past. Thats how disorganized they were. And when we got around the the whole store finally it wasnt worth the all the trouble of fighting your way threw the store.

I was talking to the clerks for like 20 mins before I remembered what I was there for, hot topic is always cool.

The workers are always super nice. 10/10.

Since this store is small, I would recommend visiting when the mall isnt busy because the wait will be long. Store max capacity is 8.

The manager Alyssa makes this store rate above any other retail spot in Hanes Mall. She is professional and yet still friendly. She remembered me and my girls after one visit and she always reminds me of coupons and specials (she has trained her staff to do the same). Excellent customer service!

Very small but a decent amount of anime-themed items due to covid this place stays packed so you might have to wait a while.

2 stars because my daughter loves this store. Drove 45 minutes to get here. Just to stand in line so far for 30 minutes and counting. Max occupancy of 6 people. With 4 of those being employees. Just a little extreme in my opinion.

I like the store, its always so busy though and its so small and you cant get in the store or out.

Let down by two of the three products I got. Purchased surgical steel nose piercings 2 boxes with five pair each. Opening the pack the first one broke. The second one bent awkwardly, and one pack of them seems to be turning inside the pack. The biggest slap in the face is that there is a no return policy on jewelry so I am stuck throwing them away. On the flip side the other products are wonderful.

Went today to pick up an order that I had shipped to the store. I ordered Christmas presents for a friend who happened to be in the store with me at the time. The guy who was helping me asked if one of the items was a present for her and when I said yes, he literally got on the floor and checked my package to make sure everything was there so she wouldnt see. I thought that was the kindest thing. The entire staff here is so kind and helpful.

The store is small, but they have a lot of cool things packed inside. Great customer service! If theres anything you cant find on the sales floor, the staff always help by looking in the back or new arrivals. Friendly, quick service, and theyre willing to take the time it needs to make sure youre getting the best deals on everything. (Ive saved well over $200 on my last visit and walked out paying only $140).

Good store but I need bleach stuff 😢

Instead of telling me as soon as I get to the door that I need a cloth mask and my face shield wouldn’t work. An employee stood at the door and waited for me to ask a question about my gauges to tell me that I need a different face mask and they have face mask to provide. Continued to tell me that “I can still breathe through my face shield”. I will no longer be shopping at the store or online. I’ve been a constant customer but this was it for me.

The staff at Hot Topic are wonderful! It is my daughters favorite store and we are always treated so special and they go out of their way to make sure we are happy. There are always deals and there is so much merchandise with frequent additions!

They dont carry exclusive jewelry for nose to ear ring.

The place is tiny and crowded but filled to the fullest with cool stuff. Pop culture is everything in this place. The store associates are usually friendly and helpful. They are well trained to be pushy about helping you find something and about joining the store rewards program so go in expecting these things and you will be golden.

The employees are always super nice and engaging. Its very well organized for such a small space. It uses that space wisely. And theres always some kinda deal going on, so thats is pretty cool.

Favorite place to shop. This location is small compared to others, but theyve got everything the bigger ones do. Ive never had any trouble. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I definitely prefer to shop during off times though because it can get pretty cramped. All in all though, I love this Hot Topic.

Items are over priced vs online. They dont price match to online because they are independent from corporate. People working there are always helpful as much as they can be. Store has so much inventory but so little space. Inventory is literally stacked to the ceiling. With one person working its hard to interrupt them from checking someone out to reach a high up item. Hot Topic needs more floor space for the content they have like some of their competitors.

Only giving 5 stars due to Jacqueline. I frequent here due to shopping for others otherwise I wouldnt continue to come in, if it werent for Jacqueline. After all the years shopping there and spending money there, shes the only one who has come across friendly and willing to help without seeming rude, like you are infringing on their time. Way to go on her hire!

I shop here because I have teenagers and try to stay relevant. They love it. The store is super tiny (and there is no way it meets ADA standards) but still manages to have the inventory to please any 13-yr old. The staff are usually friendly and helpful- & just like my kids, are good at helping you spend your money. Waiting to pay feels like waiting in line for the bathroom at an overcrowded frat party (only it doesnt smell like piss). While waiting you will have plenty of time to contemplate how cool you used to be while Nine Inch Nails or The Cure blares over the nonsense conversations of shoppers. Hey, they still sell Manic Panic? & flannel is making a big comeback!? Bonus points if you can pay before you have the urge to stab.

Theres a lot packed into this tiny shop, which makes it difficult to get around - the only reason I knocked off a star. Its filled with trendy stuff that my teenager likes, and the staff has always been polite and helpful.

Hot Topic has a large variety of products from quite a few different pop culture subjects and a ton of band merchandise. The clothes hold up well and you can find a little bit of everything here. The only issue that you will find in these stores is a crowding issue. There are so many things in the store making the isles cramped but to be fair, plenty of stores are like this. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I love Hot Topic! I especially love the way people look at the old fifty-five-year-old conservatively dressed man shopping.

Nice environment, some of the staff arent the peoples people which is expected in a store like that. Most things are expensive and cheaper online, but Hot Topic is a good place to go for the experience. Good place to find Manic Panic hair dye as well.

Theyre always super friendly and helpful here. Like every Hot Topic its hard for to look around because its pretty cramped but that just means theres lots of cool stuff and any time I need help finding stuff theyre on it.

I go to the hanes mall location all the time !!! The manger Alyssa is great and so is the rest of the staff went this past Wednesday to make a payment and do a web order for two wrestling shirts that Ive been wanting !! Alyssa did the order she was great and pretty much knows me by name.

Employees were knowledgable in stock and current deals available. They were also helpful in finding things, unlocking jewelry cases and didnt rush us as we examined things and made decisions despite being busy.

Its pretty small, so it makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience, but the clothes are nice. They have a large range of different bands, shows, and games to choose from when it comes to merchandise.
