This place is a DIYers happy place. Today was my first visit. I just went there to see what it is all about. They have rows and rows of doors and cabinets at very reasonable prices. I didnt look at the cabinets real close but the ones I did I noticed they had plywood sides and backs instead of particle board . Windows galore, how ever dont expect to find several windows the same. Great for small projects or trading out big windows at an incredible price. Lots of interior trim at great prices. You can save a ton of money there. Lots to look at its a big warehouse full of all kinds of treasures.

So you need to be one million percent sure about anything you buy here because while John was nice and helpful during my shopping experience they absolutely under no circumstances will exchange anything and they don’t care how screwed that leaves you! They do have signs that say they won’t refund but I guess I just expect a little compassion from stores that aren’t corporate. We spent over $1400 with them and they won’t even entertain possibly exchanging for the same thing different size.

The quality of the cabinets that we bought for our kitchen is outstanding!I am confident that they will last until my grandkids are grown!Also, Tony was great and really knows his stuff! I don’t know what they’re paying Tony, but he’s worth every bit and they should pay him more!He helped my wife and I basically plan and furnish our kitchen with our new cabinets. I planned on buying many more things from this place but I will not spend another dime here! I bought tiles here to remodel my kids bathroom. I asked for unopened boxes specifically. They were loaded into my trunk by some fella who couldnt even force a smile or a wave as I thanked him. Get home to find an extra box in my trunk. We pulled them out to find the boxes werent unopened, just stacked to appear that way. There were several variations of colors, from a very pale tan to pieces with deep brown or deep red-brown. One was cracked into 3 pieces and many with circular scratches. The scratches were all similar and you could tell they were made by a saw. You could tell they werent from the same set at all. I didnt spend much but it was the principle. My husband was very angry and I knew right then I would eat what I spent. My husband took them back over there to show them and the excuses started. That they come in variations. Yes I know that no 2 would look exact but when I bought brown tiles, there should not have mostly light tan. They looked like completely different tiles. Then said the scrape marks were how they dried. No. The patterns of scratches were the same. My husband has been a carpenter for over 20 years, remodeling high end homes. And just because Im a female doesnt mean Im some gullible idiot. I am a graphic designer/artist and I know shade variations. This was not the case. They wouldnt do anything to help. So theyve lost my business. We have plenty of remodeling left to do, but well take our business elsewhere. Id suggest you do the same.

I am doing to total makeover in my kitchen. Cabinets are part of it. I have base run of about 145 and tops a 49 and 50 (window in middle) plan- one or two drawer systems, corner base with lazy Susan and top corner.Lowes in stock (MDF frames, solid wood doors) about $1,700.00 + tax. Custom built, low end $10,000.00 up to $12,000.00. Neither of these include a counter top. Visit to Salvage Building and a consult with Melissa. $2,001.97 without a counter top. They are unfinished like in other quotes AND Solid OAK!!!! Damn right Im getting them. I have $1,100.00 saved for them so another $900.00 and I will be good to go. Once they are in I will be saving for the sink and a butcher block counter top. Im sure they will come from Salvage Building Materials if possible. Melissa was super friendly, very helpful, and very smart. This place has to be a best kept secret. The stuff you can get here for pennies on the dollar I say can NOT be beat.

If I am doing DIY work, this place is the BEST. Bought a solid pine 6-panel interior door here for just under $100, cabinet catches at .49 each. Door as pictured was cut down to fit a small opening, which could be accomplished because of the type of door and its quality. Cabinet catches at big box would cost 2x as much. 50% off is good....

This place has EVERYTHING!!! If youre remodeling a dwelling then a trip here would certainly be in your best interest. Warning.....it is very dusty and Id wear closed toe shoes since it is a warehouse. Huuuuuugggggeeeeeeee buildings with almost anything you could want.

Always great. Been going there for years and I always find something. Inventory is always changing and reasonably priced. The only drawback is you better be sore of sizes, the are NO exchanges or refunds. All sales are final.

Its closing time and the lady is rushing my handicapped uncle out the door. No customer service . Wont be back.

I used to come here alot years ago. I hadnt been in some time. They still had alot of good stuff and some hard to find things. But there prices have went up on some stuff really to high. I priced a few things and good get it cheaper at the store, by alot. I would have spent a considerable amount of money there, but not at those prices.

Can be hard to find stuff, like any salvage place. But its a gold mine with great prices. Of course I was falling in love with hardware where I needed 30 and they only had 9 or 13.

This place was a great place to purchase your flooring needs. They have a pretty big selection for a good value. The big black guy, I didnt catch his name, but he was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the products. I definitely recommend his help if you visit this Building Supply house.

You can definitely find bargain prices for things you need, HOWEVER the lady at the cash register was very short and condescending towards me. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she assumed I am an idiot and can’t speak English. I said “ Hey how are you doing?” to her face and she didn’t even respond or look up at me. I hate leaving reviews like this but as a business you should be open to feedback and be NICE to ALL customers.

I absolutely love this place! We got our kitchen cabinets from here and then found a bathroom vanity that was beautiful! They have switch plates and knob galore!!! I could spend an hour just walking around looking at all the stuff! And its all such a great price! Very friendly staff too, nice lady at checkout named Ann who answered all my questions. I will be going back anytime I need anything for the house. And u can even still get screws and nails by the pound there! Just fill up your little brown paper bag, weigh it, and tell them how much it weighed at checkout. Just talking about about this place gets me so excited, I might just go back today!!! Love it!!!!!

Prices are pretty good - sometimes excellent. Selection options may be remarkable - knobs and handles, for example. They have much of what youll see online, for a much better price. Also kitchen and bathroom cabinets, interior doors, household hardware (door knobs, lock sets, towel racks, you name it). I generally check here first for what Im looking for.

I bought a pivot glass shower door here that retails in Lowes & Home Depot for $160.. and they had them for only $44, perfect condition! We also bought very pretty coastal cedar paneling for 9.95 per sheet that retails for $15. Saved over $200 on that trip alone!!

Salvage Building Materials is a great place to buy many common hardware items at deeply discounted prices. Be prepared to do some digging and sorting to find a set of matching items.

Need to know what youre looking for, but significant savings can be found. We bought crown moulding and baseboards for about 1/4 of what it would have cost at Home Depot/Lowes, and solid core doors also for a fraction of the cost. Very friendly staff.

A few items are below retail prices. Others are more expensive or the same price. They also have a no return policy so u better be sure when u buy. Some of their products are missing parts or damaged in some way. Switch covers and drawer pulls are worth it if thats what u need. They also have a little better prices on panel board.

Standing smoking in the entrance with another coworker, they chatted and just generally kept giving us the stink eye while we finished our conversation before going in. We went to Salvage Building on Liberty WS NC. All the cabinet nobs and pulls were marked $2.00. The only sign we saw. We looked for about 1 hr to find 14 pulls. It was cold and windy, but most of all dark and could hardly see . Got back to front to pay and the woman seem to take pleasure in telling us they were $5.00 . I said we can get them at Lowes for that. My husband put them back. Which he should have put them down and said you can put them and how about putting up a $5.00 sign. No one should go there and pay $5.00. Just go to Lowes and get them. We will never go back to a cold dark place with a woman like that to play full price. We got them today at a place on 109 off 40 toward Thomasville., took little with nice people helping us and for $.2.00.

My daughter went on her lunch hour to purchase wood at 130 yesterday and told him she would be there to picked it up when she got off at 5. He said they closed at 530 and she said she would be pushing it but should be there. Anyways, I followed her in a truck to pick it up but NOONE was there and it was before 530. She called the number on receipt and the lady said they should be there but she was in a different building. She bang on door and no cars in parking lot. She called today and a guy name James was ugly to her and said she was a liar. I called and spoke to a lady and said we were here. I said I was also and noone was there and didnt like saying she lied but then she said we might have left a few mins early. PRETTY DAMN SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE..She made it on time and I got a truck and she told him she would be pushing it but would be back and they leave a few mins early. SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE...
