My experience was excellent at MOB! Charles helped me find the perfect ride for me. Not only does he sell high quality bikes and accessories, he and his staff actually care about your whole experience in their shop. Charles took a lot of extra time making sure my bike was set up perfectly and that I was happy with every aspect. Free tune ups for the life of the bike is a pretty great benefit that comes with a new bike from MOB. Not many other shops offer that level of service. Highly recommend Mock Orange Bikes!!
No need to search further! This is by far my favorite place for everything bikes. The owner Charles is awesome! The staff is top notch and friendly. And they will do everything within the power to make sure your taken care of and out riding your new bike, or fixing up that old bike to get back out there
Steven was AWESOME today! He checked out my granddaughters bike. He aired up the tires and checked it out! I had gone to Kens Bike shop before, but did NOT any get service. With that being said I will definitely be doing business with Mock Orange Bikes again! Thanks Steven!!
Love these guys. Very knowledgeable and super courteous. Shop prices are fair. Always a pleasant experience!
Can’t say enough of good things about these men!!! Thank you to Charles and Steven for all the personal attention to us. Not only on our first purchase a year ago but our now second purchases. If your looking to get started into cycling or a pro they are the best!!!!! Extremely knowledgeable about all things cycling!!
Awesome customer service and very nice. A must visit bike shop. Some of the best prices around too.
Great customer service. Went in to chat about ebikes and ended up buying one. Charles answered all 500 questions I asked and was very helpful. Excited to ride my new bike
GREAT local bike shop that has always been gracious and detailed with all of our repairs and biking needs!
Thanks to Charls at Mock Orange Bikes I AM ROAD READY!!!🚴🏿♀️🚴🏿♀️🚴🏿♀️Charles you were totally Awesome during my purchasing process; fitting me to my new bike, observing me on my test ride, helping me with accessories and lending some great biking pointers!!I highly recommend Mock Orange Bikes for your biking needs!! This was my 1st real riding bike purchase and Charles helped me tremendously!
I am so lucky that Mock Orange Bikes is my local. MOB stocks and sells the best bikes and service is friendly. Theyve also always got inner tubes in stock to fit my babiess jogging strollers
Simply the BEST! Always willing to help. They go out of their way to keep people mobile. “We can” kind of place. No need to go anywhere else ever again for all my bikes. Buy. Fix. Gear. Questions. This is the place.
I recently purchased a used Kona from someone online. I had a rear derailleur issue that I didnt feel comfortable with trying to fix myself. I gave MOB a call and they told me to bring it in and they would check it out but It may need to be checked in for service. I take it in and Steven instantly took my bike and had it fixed in 15 min. Both the guys there are great and customer service was on point! Makes me wish I purchased my bike from them. I will definitely be back for any of my bike needs!
Super experience with recent repairs on my mountain bike which has a bit of sentimental value. With updated gears, brakes, handle grips, kick stand, and tune up riding my bike is now much more enjoyable. If you need to purchase a bike or need a repair I would highly recommend Mock Orange. Charles and his staff are knowledgeable professionals.
I needed a new speed lockout for my front forks which is a small minor part. The person & place I bought it from told me the part was discontinued & rigged up something but told me I would need to get a small robber o ring to keep it from coming out again & charged me $20.I stoped in Mock Orange Bikes just to check it out & then decided what the heck why not ask. They were busy & Im sure working on more profitable tasks but they took the time & actually installed a speed lockout that was identical to the original & only charged me $12.Great vibes & seemed like good honest people!
Great service! Great people! You can tell they love what they do. And they do it really well!
I just popped in and learned a whole bunch of new information about e-bikes. I dont know the gentlemans name I think he is the owner or one of the owners, I dont know how that works. All I know is I told him I had a problem with an axle and he took it, fixed it, and gave it back to me. no wait, no muss, no fuss he just knocked it out and sent me on my way I appreciate that. Plus its a really cool looking bike shop. I had to add that in there. Go see for yourself.
Mock Orange Bikes is very professional and timely when it comes to servicing your bike. I had broken my shifter and they had my bike repaired in less than a week. Charles was very helpful in finding me a better shifter after I damaged my first one.
Great staff, they are always willing to help. This is by far the best definition of what a local small business is. I feel like they are more interested in servicing the community than making a dollar.
This is the beat bike shop and the best staff for any of your biking needs. If you are new to cycling or a pro you can always trust these folks to guide you in the right direction. I don’t normally comment or write reviews but always read them so in this case I felt the need to share how great they have treated me and how patient they have been as well. Can’t go wrong here!
Charles was friendly and patient with me. Gave me a lot of good tips. I love my Kona bike that I purchased here. I definitely recommend this business.
Amazing bunch of people behind the counter here! They gave me answers to questions i didnt even know i had! Without a doubt i will be coming back to support this local business, not before i recommend it to all my friends though! Really excited to get back on the saddle and start riding again! Thank you Mock Orange Bikes!
I love this shop. Customer service is always on point. Steven always takes great care of me and they are always super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend giving this place your business for ANY of your biking needs.
Sweet shop! Great guys in a sweet spot. They’ve got unique brands and all the odds and ends. Mega sweet! Looking good!
Wonderful bike shop! I came in for some shifting problems, i thought would take 10min, and practically got a full tune up. I just moved here so it was nice not to have to leave my bike for 2 weeks because I really need it in this quarantine.
Shop and customer service is amazing. Coolest group of shop workers I have ever met.
These guys were totally awesome, would highly recommend to cyclists . Customer service was Impeccable.
Absolutely fantastic place, very friendly guys, and outstanding service. I came in with a very minor issue with inflating my tires. The gentleman I worked with was not only kind enough to fill my tires, but also replaced one of the valve caps and mounted my pump without charge (bought a few energy bars to say thanks!) The shop itself is really clean, well laid out, and generally a pleasant and welcoming place. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone, they really are the best!
Just bought a new bike here. First one Ive had since I was twelve! Staff were all super friendly and helpful, Im pleased with the experience. They have a solid selection for the size of the store and offer free tune-ups for life with purchase of a new bike. Charles walked us through options that fit our entire price range and we ended up with a piece perfect for our needs.
This is the absolute best! The customer service experience was awesome
Customer service and products are awesome! Staff is totally committed to helping cycle enthusiasts. I purchased a few Kona bikes from them and had other bikes serviced and Charles and his team went above and beyond every time. Really appreciate having such a great bicycle shop in the area.
Just went there to shop for a new bike for both my husband and I. Went in, browsed, no one ever acknowledged we were there. Several employees saw us but no one uttered a word to us. Sorry but that is just poor service. We left. We won’t be back.
Alex and Charles are just super! They met me at the door and helped carry my bike, etc inside. The personal service I received was outstanding. I am very impressed. They quickly performed the work for me at a very fair price. Give them a try---I know you will be impressed as well.
Great visit. Quick adjustment. Great Guys. Was getting my work done at shop across town. These guys do so much better repairs.
Lots of really quality cycling equipment whether you are a roadie or a mtbr. Sells many Italian brand (bianchi, colnago, pinarello) as well salsa, kona, and santacruz bikes. Really unique shop that is a fresh change from the big name factory stores like Trek/Specialized/Giant dealers
Always great. Service sales and repair..Went there today. Alex helped me this time. They always make me feel like family. I just dont have the words to describe the quality of service parts and reasonable prices. Just the best. Will never go anywhere else as long as they are around.Charlie Kernersville NC.
Always get great service from this super friendly and helpful staff. Some of the best mechanics in the area.
Recently I was looking for a MTB for my wife, who is a great rider but out of saddle for a few years. Stopped at MOB, and even on a busy Saturday, Charles steered my wife and me to the perfect bike--and gave us a great deal on it. Explained tire size, components that matter, in detail. These guys really do care, and definitely know what they are talking about. Yes, the shop is stylish and beautiful, but it is not fluff... this place is the real deal, and we are lucky to have such a bike shop.
The guys at MOB make you feel right at home the second you enter the bike shop. Ive had all sorts of repairs done on my bike here and the price is always fair and the work has been great. They also have a great selection of bikes if youre in the market.Wouldnt go to any other shop in Winston Salem.
Awesome bike shop. Great buying experience.
Pulled off a miracle for me and saved our spring break camping trip to hit the trails at Fats!!! My son would have been devastated had we not made it. Absolutely the best of the best, hard to find service like they do it anywhere!
Im somewhat of a couch potato that has reached the halfway point in life and decided now is the time to start getting active. I have been interested in the sport of mountain biking for a while and my wife recently purchased me a Schwinn Sidewinder 26 inch from the big-box store. Its a decent bike but felt inadequate for my size (consider the big box stores have this one size fits all philosophy) and lacked features such as speed shift, and disc brakes etc.I stopped in to the store by chance, looking for a bike carrier to free up space in my SUV while enjoying a day out with family, and ended up plunking down some cash for a better kona mountain bike. I am 6 ft 2 inches in height and after riding it a short distance, I immediately realized the benefits. Charlie and the sales staff were very welcoming, informative, and offered Zero-pressure to buy. Its safe to say if you are new to the sport of cycling, this is you place to visit.
Great experience shopping for a bike. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.Charlie went the extra mile to land the model, setup, and paint job I was looking for. Thanks!
The people at this bike shop are terrific! I brought in a bike I bought online to be set-up and adjusted and they treated me so graciously and kindly. Afterwards, they were exceedingly terrific in spending time with me to talk with me about various aspects of cycling that I was curious about - never making me feel like dumb; not being at all condescending a.It was such a great experience that I was motivated to bring in several other bikes we own as well as to buy another bike from them.
Hands down the best bike shop in the area. The staff is friendly and professional. Great selection of bikes. Highly, highly recommend.
Supper helpful and friendly. Staff remembers people by name by the second or third time u go in. Great prices and they always try and add on a discount whenever they can.
I have always always had great experiences at Mock Orange. Great bikes, helpful staff, good mechanics, and reasonable prices.
I dont get the one star reviews. Charles, Charlie, and the rest of the gang at Mock Orange Bikes are the best. I have dealt with Charles about twenty years and, between my wife and I, have bought six or seven bikes from him. He never once tried to upsell us and always gave great tips on how to get what we wanted while staying well within our budget. Repairs and pick-ups have always been on time and spot on. There have been long periods when I didnt go to the store (nothing on them, just doing other pursuits), but I was always treated super when I returned. If you want a bike shop with nice bikes and accessories, knowledgeable people that will put you on the right bike for what you want, knows how to work on a bike, helps you stay in your budget, and treats you right, then give Mock Orange a shot.
Buy from these guys - greatest support, knowledge, and service! I have purchased 7 bikes for my family and every time they helped me find the right bike for the right person!
If there were 6 stars, Id give them 6. Help an out-of-towner with ideas for rides with detailed directions. Great atmosphere and staff!
Charles and the team at Mock Orange are outstanding. They helped me get a sweet deal on a used Kona for my daughter. These guys are very committed to the sport and have a very professional operation. Thanks for the great experience and making me a hero with my 5 year old!
I have an unusual trike - the Organic Transit ELF. The pads on my Avid BB7 brakes had worn out, and Charles at MOB replaced them today. The front two wheels must be calibrated together to prevent pulling to one side, and he got it perfect. If MOB can handle an expensive trike, they can handle anything. I am well pleased with the price and service.
Was in the area this weekend with family and stopped in to get my 9 year old fitted for a new bike. Shop is beautiful with a bunch of high end bikes, but sales person was aloof and didnt seem interested in helping. He didnt measure my daughter or even have her sit on a bike. He said they only had one bike that was her size and it was $400+. So if you like to spend a lot of money while being treated poorly as a customer, MOB may be for you. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Nice shop. Charlie was helpful. Enjoyed my bike buying experience!🚴♂️
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff willing to go the extra mile. I highly recommend.
Great shop. The people were very helpful and the place is awesome. Bought a used Kona and my son has loved it. They have top notch new and used stuff.
Great service and quick to help even sneaking in ten minutes before closing time. Very friendly and highly recommended.
What I like about the guys at MOB is that they know their bikes and can quickly identify the type of ride that will give you the most enjoyment for any given skill level. Ive noticed several reviewers thought the crew was aloof or not interested. I might characterize it as laid back and non pressuring. They answered every question I had and why they made it based on how I like to ride. They appear to be more interested in getting you on a bike and riding than marketing. I consider this a sign that cycling fans rather than a cycling business. They seem to want everyone to ride and enjoy themselves.Their experience is such that by asking a few seemingly simple questions they can identify the right manufacturer and right price point for you. They dont hype. They dont try to upsell. If the best bike for you is a $400 bike they will steer you away from a $1400 bike and vise-versa.Perfect example. I had to make a choice between top of the line crank and the next level down. The price difference was large but they told me that given my skill level, I would not notice the difference. However, they also said that I would not like the one below that because Ive improved over the years and would notice a difference. They lost a bit of short-term profit but make it up with my loyalty, trust and repeat business.Ive found that when they make a recommendation for me and I ignore it, 9+ times out of 10 I end up deciding I was wrong and they were right.
I like the whole team at Mock Orange. Almost all the employees there are easy to work with and dont talk down to you if you dont have much cycling knowledge. They will always tell you what you really need and not try and sell you something more just to make a buck. They look out for you if you buy a bike there by doing free tune-ups and tweaks to your bike. I go there to get new spokes, gear and my tune-ups throughout the year. they do a lot of sponsorships and events with the community and care about keeping cyclists safe. You can even see the employees riding through town all the time.
Got my old Cannondale upgraded. Everything works so much better. Charles and his assistants did a great job. My bike really works vey very well.
Me and my wife commute by bike, get groceries by bike, bike for fun and just get around on our bikes. We wanted to get some more safety gear, so wed be more visible at night so we rode down to Mock Orange Bikes to get some stuff to make us stand out.The shop was pretty, very very pretty. One of the tattooed clerks greeted us quickly and we inquired about reflective vests, reflective tape or something along those lines. We were shown a $75 yellow racing jersey. I frowned at the price and the clerk disappeared. We decided to look around and see what they did have, which was nothing. They had a lot of spandex, a few high end racing bikes, a few fixies and a wall of e-bikes, and a very despicable thrown together place for panniers, racks and bells. Their display for socks was bigger. We left saddened. We went to Pauls cycling afterwards. They were helpful, they told us where to get cheaper vests (even though they could have ordered us some of theirs) and were very nice. We bought one of their more expensive vests just for the advice. In short, if you want to spend a lot of money on pretty things and dont want anything functional or useful then I would suggest Mock Orange Bikes. I hear they have coffee. If you want to go to a shop to get what you need (advice, parts, service), I would go to either of the other two bike shops in Winston-Salem. They dont have coffee, but they do have what you need.
Great bike shop! Excellent staff & service! Highly recommended for the casual rider to the serious competitors!
Best bike shop in this part of NC, Charles is great to work with. Dont buy a bike without stopping by here.
Awesome dudes. Will buy my next bike from them, and the next, the one after that, the following one, and the next two or three.
They always roll out the red carpet . . . and my son thinks they are cool.
These guys have always been super friendly and professional. Best bike shop in town.
I have a couple of old bikes (eg. ones a Haro Mtn bike) and the Mock Orange team keeps them tuned, running, and fixed. Thank you!
Zack and Charles are great guysThey know their bikesFound a Bianchi San Jose I had been searching for monthsMust visit this bike shop
Excellent overall. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. My highest recommendation!
Super service from super dudes! Theyll help you love to cycle!

Pretty terrible experience dealing with Steven here unfortunately.
They are just simply awesome!!! So couteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest!!! Would highly recommend to anyone and EVERYONE!!!!
Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly people.
Great atmosphere and even better customer service!
First class service and friendly, helpful staff.
They have the best service and the best employees ever! Prices are a little high, though.
Charles took care of my Concerns immediately.
I dropped in on these guys for a last-minute, early-morning shock installment and setup and they did it all in minutes. I have never had better customer service at a bike shop than with these guys. Also Ive never seen a group of people so stoked at 8AM on a Saturday!
Always helpful, great shop!
