The best place in Winston-Salem for fabric! They even have large rolls of upholstery and outdoor material. Scrapbook, jewelry, decor, and floral departments have a good selection. Everything is well laid out and organized. The staff is always engaging and helpful. The customers are even nice- I had several pleasant conversations while there discussing our projects we were working on. My favorite thing about the store is that they allow well-behaved, leashed dogs! I patronize this store more than a store in the area that rhymes with ‘Snobby Bobby’.

So...went into my local store to find an upholstery fabric for a chair project and fell in love with this one. But the biggest surprise was actually in finding a great deal on shepherds hooks for my patio along with buy--one-get-two-free outdoor lighting sets. I havent been to Joanns in a while since my craft time is very limited these days, but now Ill make more frequent visits because I love a good bargain! Great customer service as well!

It was my first time visiting JoAnn and I am very happy I went. The have a wide variety of fabrics plus countless household decor and accessories. I cant wait to go back!

Its a decent store, had what I was looking for, but the price that was on it was ridiculous needless to say I did not get it. Their cloth is so expensive you can buy clothing for the same amount or less money. Walmart had what I was needing in mocksville $8 cheaper than it was at Jo-Anns a yard

Very upset that my order was canceled. Plus when I told the CSR that their telephone line wasnt working, she ignored me the first 2 times. I said it again and she act like she didnt care and commented...we have been have problems with it for awhile and then smirked.

When in to buy polymer clay stuff and they out of a lot of tools and stuff that I ended up at Michaels. But still had a lot of good stuff. I will be going back.

That was my first time in there and I will shop there again. And I love the smell in there.

Went to the Winston Salem store yesterday. Bought four items. Three of the four rang up in correctly. That is ridiculous. You should not have to check every item to make certain you are not being over charged. Customers BEWARE!!!Let me add. Discovered their big sales are really a hoax. 40% off Rotary supplies. Bought a mat great deal I thought until I discovered I could have bought the exact same mat from Amazon $2.00 cheaper any day of the week. Fool me once shame on me. There will no second chance at JOANNs. Beware of coupons where they just mark the price up to give a discount.

This location was not organized. Fabric was not organized by theme nor color. Fabric type/style was not coordinated. Aisles and fabric bolts were messy. The selection was plentiful, however I will continue to shop at the Greensboro location from this day forward. I drove to Winston Salem for a specific fabric that the website stated as in stock. The condition of the fabric aisles deterred me from looking farther. The cutting table associate, Laura(?), was awesome!

I was not happy at all with my experience today. I rode from Archdale to Winston Salem to go to Joanns Fabrics the store wasnt very clean, and the bathroom was dirty. I picked out 2, 1 1/2 pieces of fabric and 5 spools of thread ( buy 3 get 2 free) I used my coupons and it was almost $50.00!!! It wasnt even fancy material, just material to make a baby blanket. I told her just to put it back. I wasnt paying that when I could buy 2 very nice ones cheaper and not have to sew.

Had everything I was looking for and good quality and great prices!

Great store! Has a variety of fabrics, notions, yarn, painting supplies and supplies for jewelry making and more. Everything is nicely organized for easy access. Store coupons can be uploaded in the store through their WI-FI.

Helpful friendly also very well stocked and they are dog friendly which was enormously helpful to me so that nobody had to wait in the car with the dog.

Sadly this store was out of date and honestly the floor when you walked in was disgusting, sorry for the lack of pictures. There was also no price scanners to be found as there are at other stores, so it was hard to verify prices.

This makes twice within 6 months that Ive had a poor customer service experience with a cashier. A different one each time, never caught their names, but always very rude and trying to boot you out the door as soon as possible no matter how nice I was. One in particular, an older lady with shoulder length gray hair, was very rude. While scanning my coupons on my phone she was very frustrated with me for not scrolling fast enough. Unfortunate.The elderly ladies at the cutting table, however, are always super friendly and very funny. They should have more employees like that all throughout the store.Otherwise, great selection and I always find what I need and more!Would just advise the employees to treat people better, you never know how someones day is going.

Not enough staff but lots of customers. if youre going to have your business open you should have enough care for your customers to have enough staff to make sure they have a happy shopping experience. Youre ending up just like Michaels very poor customer service very very poor customer service. the businesses are blessed to have a lot of traffic flow but you dont have enough staff to take care of your customers thats poor customer service take a look at Chick-fil-A and how they operate their business you all could learn something and the people that work for them theyre always happy that says a lot about the businesses themselves. Take a look next time Google people see if theyre happy and what theyre doing and tell you a lot about the service youll get 👀

Anything you need to sew anything. Lots of yarn to knit or crochet. Make jewelry or anything with flowers. The sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful

Disappointed in the way the pink haired lady treated a customer while we were there. Sure the customer was difficult, demanding and maybe a little crazy, but still not an excuse for an employee to act like that in front of other customers. All it did was show others this place will not assist customers

Dana was extremely unhelpful and kept me there for 20 minutes as she attempted to swear a return would lose 50 percent of value simply for a return without receipt. That is not their return policy. Im supposed to get store credit.

I wouldnt recommend this location, the manager is not helpful at all and somewhat rude. I dont think that shes considerate of the customers that actually drive an hour to get to her location because lets face it theres not a Joanns in every city. She needs some customer service retraining. Although, she does not define what this company is about I will no longer take the drive to this location with my crafting buddies. I will however find a better location to patronize.

This is a treasure box for sewists, artists, crafters, knitters, and others. With the app and coupons, the savings are even more amazing and the quality is exceptional. My husband, a woodworker even buys his hardwood dowels there. Theres something for everyone!

Staff was very nice but the only reason why I’m not rating this a five star is because of an employee who was coughing, now I know this may sound dramatic but we’re in a middle of a pandemic so I feel as if my safety and everyone’s in that store should’ve been thought of. The employee put her mask down and then proceeded to cough. She would’ve stayed home if she felt sick.

There is only one thing that annoyed me... Both the men and women bathroom said out of order... And you know that would be 1 in a million chance of that. They do have a bunch of fabric to choose from, books, and patterns... Plus they have stuff for your house and yard...Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful.... The store is very clean....

I have never had a GOOD experience at the Jo-Anns store in Winston-Salem, but there are several BAD experiences that stand out. When I first moved to Winston in 2013, I checked online reviews of local fabric stores. Jo-Anns were so bad that I completely discounted them until Hancocks closed. Though I cannot remember the particulars, I got to the cash register, only to have the very unpleasant cashier make up rules on the spot about a sale that were not in writing anywhere because believe me, I looked. Fast forward to the pandemic, and I needed some supplies for masks. I am high risk for Covid, so I thought I would take advantage of the newly available curbside pick up. I spent a good bit of time shopping, which is not easy from the app. When I arrived, I was told that they could not bring the order out to me because it was within an hour of closing. Again, I reread through everything, and there was NOTHING that presented that qualifier. I swore I would never shop there again, but supplies are running short, and I needed something specific. So again, I placed an order, this time arriving midday. I called, letting the phone ring until Verizon hung it up. I called again, still no answer. So once again I left without the items I needed and spent time shopping for. I do not know what is going on at that store, but it certainly is not good customer service.
