We asked about multiple cars and had limited circumstances and they went above and beyond to put us in a BRAND NEW and nicer vehicle than what we were initially seeking. They definitely made a dream come true that we didn’t know was available to us. They were sweet and professional and went above all our expectations! They also were so kind to our 3 year old who had his own ideas about a new vehicle. Upon our first meeting our child asked Matthew and Terry for a “Spider-Man car”. Low and behold they got us in a red 2022 Kia Soul. Thank you so much for our “Spider-Man” car!
What an amazing experience purchasing a new Kia!!Some of the other Kia dealerships I have been to in search of my new Kia, was horrible. Very sales forward and sharks approaching you right out of your vehicle, well not at Bob King! I was able to look around the lot, get my bearings and then as soon as I walked into the building, I had a warm welcome and then asked if I needed assistance. It was such a nice surprise.When purchasing, there was no pressure, just education and the options are all presented digitally on a tablet in front of you. Such a great way to see how your payments break down.Can not recommend enough!! Thank you so much staff at Bob King!!
Ordered a 22 KIA TELLURIDE back in June. I made it clear that I do have another vehicle that I may or may not trade in based on trade value at the time of deal. Its also noted on invoice that the trade value would be appraised on deal. Fast forward to today I get a call saying my vehicle has arrived. I ask them if they were willing to come up on the trade in value based on info from their site and they said NO. I mentioned that was fine but wanted to still move forward with the deal. FYI: I had plans to sell to another company should this happen so I wasnt to worried about it but then after 5 months of waiting they tell me WE DONT WANT TO DO THE DEAL UNLESS YOU TRADE YOUR VEHICLE. What?!!!!! They also said since the vehicle is in high demand we can find another buyer at higher price. I think this company is disgusting to do this to a customer. I wanted to share my experience because this is beyond unprofessional.

Charles met me at the door of the showroom. There were no cars in the showroom. I guess with the COVID we shouldnt be touching the cars. I told Charles what i was looking for and he found one on the Hyundai lot. He explained the process of getting the car to the KIA lot. He brought the perfect car for me...two years newer and more safety features. I had recently been in an accident and my car was totalled, so safety was the major factor. Charles pointed out details and the fact that the car would take control around curves before we left the lot. We had a great test ride. We told him we had to think about it. Charles was mild-mannered, sincere and honest. I never felt we were being pushed toward a decision, options were always on the table. We even looked at a K 5 but my heart was set on the vehicle that saved me, the OptimaThe next day we decided we wanted the carr ànd negotiations went well and we bought the car through Mark (?) the finance guy. He was easygoing and he made us laugh. He took us through the warrantý decisions. He gave wise counsel and then we moved on to the financials. Tthe actual loan process went quickly and easily.Getting in that car felt like coming home. Buying it was relaxed and easy. I believe I got a fair price considering the current COVID market. I don’t usually post reviews but I have to say, I am very impressed with the service at this dealer. I dropped my Kia Forte off for an oil and filter change without an appointment. For those of you who think “oh wow-I’ll just run by and they can do it!”…be reasonable. I called ahead and asked if they could get me in and done before 3 and they said bring it on so I dropped it off and left it.I was greeted upon arrival, information secured quickly and I was gone. A very unique concept here is COMMUNICATION with the customer..they text updates (with your permission of course), the technician sends a complete video of your car and what they are doing and found including removing wheels and checking brakes and suspension parts and visible inspection of bottom of car. They send a recommended list of services you may be due and a text when ready with the amount owed. This was a $45 dollar oil change. I understand upsell and grew up in a garage my parents owned. I declined additional services, however knowing cars as well as I do I found this helpful in deciding what I budget for next visit but also a wealth of information for a minimal oil change cost.Why I decided to review? I spent $240 dollars the day before on my new GMC Sierra and got none of this feedback…granted, it’s nearly new so there should be nothing. The Kia is my commuter as I have a 70 mile commute daily…it’s about to trip 100k miles. Seeing and hearing an explanation that I know and understand is appreciative as I plan to put another 100k on it hopefully and I’ll plan on execution of some of these services and some I will preform myself.Short version? Great dealership with prices in line with what I expect to pay (although the price for rear shocks I was quoted was so far off I have to think it was a misprint and will let it go at that).While I’ve not bought a car here, I highly recommend the service. With that being said I have a friend who has bought 3 cars from them now and also thinks highly of the dealership also. Oh and the car was detailed when I picked it up! I enjoy washing my vehicles and nobody touches my Sierra but me but for my little commuter? Much appreciated.

The Most rude service department and GM. Never had an experience like I did with this location. I waited 3 weeks for a service appointment. Dropped my car 2 days before the date. One week passed by and never heard back from them. Called and left 3 voice messages. Finally stopped by to see what is the status of my car. Come yo find out that the service advisor no longer works there and my car has been sitting to the side! REALLY. So you have no one else to follow up? To top it off on their rudness and lack of professionalism. The GM comes out and says to take your car and get the hell out my property all because I am a little upset as CUSTOMER that they have failed their job. Unbelievable!

(June 2021): I took my 2020 Sportage in yesterday to have the oil changed and the tires rotated. I also mentioned when I got there for my 4:30 appointment (that both my husband and I left work early for) that my check break light had been on for a few weeks and I wanted it fixed. After waiting TWO HOURS, until 6:30 to have my oil changed, my car was finally ready. When I got into my car, the check engine light and check break light was still on so I went back inside to let them know it had not been fixed. I was then told that the parts department closed at 6:00 so I would have to bring it back another time to get the break light fixed. If they had listened to me when I checked in and wrote down that I had this problem, it could have been fixed while I was there and while the parts department was open. I was told it was a bulb issue with my break light but on the papers I was given about my car, it said the bulbs were in perfect condition..Every time I come here, they want to do about $200-$300 worth of extra work on my car that is not even a year and a half old. This is not the first time something like this has happened here but it is certainly the last. I will not be returning here for anything regarding my vehicle.Update (October 2021): I took my car to be serviced this time to Battleground Kia in Greensboro and they did a GREAT job. I will be going there from now on. :)
Brian Cost is a liar and a wimp. My 2020 Kia had a warranty issue which a toddler could have diagnosed. I called Kia Factory and they informed me an engineering ticket was never opened. KIA factory was given the video of a clear failed wheel bearing making a noise and they tried to reach the service department but noone answered lol. I went back when they tried to sell me on tires that werent the issue when the wheel bearing pulling caused uneven wear. The worst part was Brian the service manager apologized to me when he met me stating Im sorry if my service advisors werent informative enough they are female and dont know anything about this business and hey Brian the emails I sent to your co workers and managers were only to embarrass you and out you for the small man that you are. Otherwise when I purchased the car the sales dept and finance dept were very pleasant and easy to deal with. Not a tense fight like a lot of dealers put up to take your money. They were cool no complaints there. So I took my Kia back from this unprofessional service department and traded it in. I dropped a fat check down on a premium vehicle fully loaded at a different dealer and they gave me the deal I wanted no problem. So thanks Brian Cost I got an extremely nice vehicle out of your incompetence. Thats why Im giving this review 5 stars.

I would not recommend buying or letting them do anything. My car has been there since March 2021 because catalyst went out and motor replaced. It took them over a month to get me something to drive and I had it 2 months and hit a deer. They have gave me nothing but a run around and I now have to turn in the damaged loaner car and that is all they are worried about is getting it back not when my is getting done or how Im getting around. It is my only transportation and now if I dont turn the loaner in they are calling the cops.now what about me and my car they dont care just getting theirs back. So I want even give them 1 star. And customer service never returns calls or messages and when you call all you get is a voice-mail and never no call backs. I wouldnt let my dog go there
Fantastic customer service. My 2021 Kia had a major failure and I took it to a local dealer in the Raleigh area where I live. After 3 weeks of waiting for it to be repaired for lack of a part, I contacted Bob King who I had purchased the vehicle from. They located the part and arranged for it to be delivered to the dealer in Raleigh so the car could be repaired. Bob King Kia went above and beyond to help me and the car wasnt even in their shop.

If I could give it a zero - I would. This is a nightmare. My car is in another state for almost a week and still hasnt been completely diagnosed. Its a Kia 2020 Soul and under 38,000 miles. Customer service with Bob Kia has been terrible9/16/2021 I have called and left messages with your company. I spoke to someone in services and requested to speak to someone in sale and was told that they didnt have the number.

My husband and I purchased an upgraded 2015 Kia Soul package WITH A BETTER WARRANTY. Immediately upon leaving the back speakers were rattling. I had to contact and take the vehicle 3 times for them to finally fix the issue. The end of August 2020 we paid it off and received the title on Saturday. The next day it threw a piston and blew motor. After the first of September I had to schedule AND pay for the vehicle towed. After calling and complaining several times I was finally given a loaner Kia Soul on Oct. 20. Mid November they contacted me and said the car was ready. After a 10 hr workday I drove 30 minutes to pick it up and return the rental. Upon arrival they tell me the car is dumping gas. They give me a better loaner. December 23 I was left a voicemail that the Soul was ready again and they needed their loaner back. I was out of town for Christmas. December 28 I returned the loaner, and pulled away. The engine light came on, the soul wouldnt reach 60mph and was shaking horribly. I completely feel like I paid too much for the vehicle and upgraded warranty in addition to the $726 I paid in November. Not mentioning how much time has been wasted. Pretty sure its done. I am leaving this bad review after months of the run around. I am out of options. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE!!

Poor communication-unethical work practices, be prepared to make at least 3 complaints before your vehicle fix to satisfaction, it’s like negotiations never accept the first offer. I recommend Battleground KIA in Greensboro you have a better chance drive to that location.
Worst experience at a car dealership period. We were threatened by the general manager James Juarez. We were cursed at from the general manager James as well, as well in front of children present on the property. This is not a place that is friendly or a place you should you bring your family to purchase a car. This is a very unprofessional place of business and do not recommend anyone to purchase a car or have any type of service done at this dealership.
I scheduled my service, and a recall on the same day. When I arrived, I was informed they could not do the recall because of a computer problem. My drive from home round trip was 150 miles. I asked why they didnt let me know so I could reschedule, I was told that they were instructed not to call the clients. I was told that the service manager would contact me. I have yet to hear from anyone. I will only return for recalls, not for servicing. You folks stink in the communication Dept. This was my first Kia buy, and will also be my last.
Excellent Customer service from Bob King Kia. Aaron was really great and we were able to test drive and do all our negotiations from home. Patrick worked hard to stay under my budget. Aaron also delivered the 2020 Forte directly to our home and we did all the paperwork at home just in time for Christmas!! An all together wonderful experience and I would highly recommend!! My wife loves her 1st new car !!
I purchased my 2014 Ford Focus SE on April 28, 2021. In less than 24 hrs I had to take it back due to it was shifting hard. They said it was fixed and now my transmission fault light is on and will not go into gear. I have not even had a chance to make my first car payment!!!!!
Why do I give 3 star? Well its only partially because of the dealer. Dont get me wrong, I really like my optima but the recalls and AC problems never end. IMO KIA has some minor quality issues and the buyer usually pays for that. I think overall the dealer is ok but the system they use to tell you the RECOMMENDED services is flawed. Fortunately I have mechanical and electronic knowledge. For those that do not....well, I hope you can call somebody that does!

Last night I went to Bob King Kia after an absolutely horrible experience at a local Honda dealership. I was met by my sales associate Charles right on time for my appointment as opposed to the Honda dealer who didnt even acknowledge I was a customer. Charles showed me straight to the Kia Sportage I was there to test drive and put no pressure on me at all. He gave me the keys and said take it for a drive and take my time. The car looked and drove great except for a window rattle. When I got back I told them about it, and another sales associate took it out and quickly discovered it was just a badly installed rain deflector. After agreeing to purchase the car I was handed off to Patrick to fill out all the paperwork. He was extremely professional and put absolutely no pressure on me to hurry or purchase extra options. He clearly explained each piece of paperwork and I left feeling confidant that everything was as it should be. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to being their customer in the future. A great team effort at Bob King Kia.
Aaron Bell was my salesman and he was no pressure and great to work with. Patrick the finance manager was also no pressure and helped make me feel comfortable with what I was paying and took the time to explain the warranties so I understood everything. I had an issue with my car a couple of days after purchase and Aaron was very quick to take care of it, even driving out to me to pick the car up and drop it off so I was not inconvenienced any further. Their customer service has been great so far and I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with them for the service of my new car.

The service department is great and deserve to be recognized!!! I have a 2017 Kia Sorento purchased at Bob King Kia. I take my vehicle here to their service department for all maintenance needs. My tires were purchased over a year ago through another company. I ended up needing a tire patch and I brought it to Kia service department. The tire sensor had been replaced with an off market sensor but the maintenance department listened and did everything to fix my sensor. The men that work in the service department are amazing! They listen to women and do not try to just take advantage of our wallets like other companies! They are always willing to go an extra step for their customers. The entire staff of Bob King Kia of Winston-Salem are truly remarkable!
This is the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. I bought a car from them that needless to say didn’t start well. Was told a car was there for me to test drive 30min. Before I got there. Of course it was not there. Then when I bought a car, the gave me a I owe you on something that needed fixing. I order a spare part myself and got it in two days. Three weeks I call and was told it was not in yet. I was told it would be three more weeks. Four weeks go by I call and still not there. Come to find out they still did not order it. I ended up fixing it my self with not offering to pay for anything. This people will lie straight to your face from the GM down. People be aware
Don’t trust this dealership! I submitted my application on a car then they sent the car to auction for mechanical issues without telling me. Now I have a hit on my credit report and no car. Bad business!
Bobs not the biggest for nothing.. You can find good deals but he didnt get on top by giving anything away. Bought new 2016 Soul plus (in 2016) with only 3 miles on it and it has been one of my best vehicles yet (70k miles in 4.5 years).

As a matter of fact Im very disappointed with the experience I had in this last visit.Im a retired (disability) Zoning Inspector for the City of Winston Salem and Forsyth County. In a fixed income. When I traded a full equipped (high mileage) vehicle for your cheapest but NEW car was for the convenience that this NEW car has a (supposedly) good warranty. I asked for the bumper to bumper extended warranty and to include even the oil changes. I told the sales rep that I wanted a fixed monthly payment.Yesterday I was baffled when I was asked to give preventive maintenance to parts that are covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. I can see myself having to do that after the warranty expires due to mileage or years. If you (KIA) wants to give preventive treatment or maintenance to your product, have at it. Dont want to be asked to pay for anything other than wearables. Stand behind your product or stop lying when youre offering bumper to bumper warranty. I was told that even if a bulb goes out, it will be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty.Caleb Velez Santiago

Ive felt like part of the family since the first time I visited this location in 2013. It matters a lot to me that they know my name when I walk in, and when I ask a question I always receive an honest response. Not to mention they have some of the hottest (and safest) vehicles on the market today. I havent even considered buying a vehicle from anywhere other than Bob King Kia and Ill continue to purchase for years to come. (Currently awaiting the arrival of my new Telluride!) We had already had bank approval we just was trying to find the right car for my wife and we were close to getting one then the finance manager decides to try and talk us into financing thru them and we informed him we needed to talk about it and he told us we were wasting his time so we got our keys and walked out thanks for the time wasted
New car I bought from the Bob King Hyundai dealer down the street came with a bunch of scratches, and although Ive brought it in multiple times, they, as well as the body shop at this Kia dealer, failed to fix them. 4 times Ive brought my car in the past 1.5 months. On top of that, I brought it in here to get fixed after I hit a deer, and I ended up with EVEN MORE scratches. It looks like my cars hood was used as a work bench. Once I get them to actually fix my car, Im not going back to these people.
They will/did charge you 5 times the normal cost. No matter what.

The sales process was an easy 5 stars for me. Dallas was great at finding exactly what we were looking for and taking good care of us. The four stars is for the financing department. Antoine was polite, but honestly we were very overwhelmed with information, he talked fast and is very short when we called back asking questions. We were also very surprised by the 5% interest rate even though my husband has a credit score of 820 and when we asked him to look at the financing through Truliant instead of Kia, he told us there would be no change and we couldnt do an 84 month term as they are partnered? with Truliant. Well lucky for us we still went to Truliant afterwards and we are now refinancing through Truliant with a whole percent lower interest rate and at 84 months so we feel like we were lied to. He also told us the GAP insurance would probably be the same elsewhere, which again it is $300 lower through Truliant. We were also under the impression that our warranty was included and somehow at $3000 additional warranty was added on that we both have no recollection of having a conversation about and only found out about when the Truliant manager was looking over our paperwork with them. I think financing needs to just work on their communication better next time around. We bought a 50k SUV so we brought good business and I would buy from them again, but would probably ask for a different financing manager.
I spoke to them about these issues I am having with the vehicle. One of the issues was not their fault because a family member didnt have the money to get it fixed at the time. But I am currently working with Eric and Robert for a resolution. They were willing to help me. I got my vehicle back and it is running good. Just need to drive it to put some miles on it. Everyone was very helpful and cared about my concerns. I have been in the car business before, and I would do everything to help my customers. I felt the same vibes from them and I would gladly send any of myfriends/ family members to buy a New or Used vehicle from them 😊

Purchased a Seltos SX from Bob King. Shopped on line with Kia website, then searched pricing at 6 dealerships. Bob King had competitive pricing. Contacted Ashley via email and text, the sales manager Terry, by email and text, then finance manager, Patrick, by telephone. All negotiation and pricing and financing done before visiting dealership. Arrived 9am for final signatures and left at 10am with new car.Very nice people who have an efficient streamlined system for selling. Could not have been a better experience. Highly recommended.

I would truly beware of this dealership, they demonstrated willingness to deceive in their service department, they didnt know it but I took it to another mechanic and found that it was a complete falsehood what they told me, stay away from pirates!
My husband left our car to get looked at. We had visited my sisters the night before when it started to act up. We are from out of town and did not feel safe driving back. We came back in the morning with the help of friends and took it to the dealership since it was close by. The service people said they would call us and we would know something by the afternoon. No one ever called us and we had to call them 3 times. They kept saying they were looking at the car but told us nothing about it by the time they closed. We finally called again and were told the maintenance people had left for the day. We got no phone calls or statuses about our car before they closed even though we were assured the second time we called that we would get a call back. They just left and we were without a car and had stayed in town the whole day waiting to hear about it. Terrible customer service. Once we get our car back we will not be using this maintenance service again.
I have been thinking about a new car for awhile so stopped by Bob King Kia to test drive a Kia Soul. I thought it would be perfect for my pet sitting business and would look cute to wrap it like a puppy school bus. However, after seeing the cargo area, I decided against the Soul. Aaron Bell, my salesman showed me a several other vehicles. I wanted white so we went through his inventory. I test drove the Kia Niro and was completely impressed! Although it was a 2017, it had less than 6,000 miles and it averaged 40-50 mpg being a hybrid.Terry McCoy, the sales manager, offered to let me take it home for a test run but I opted out. I wanted to sleep on it, not to mention I was picking up two large dogs that afternoon. There was no pressure whatsoever which I appreciated.After mulling it over, I called Monday morning and asked if I could give it the test run with my puppy clients. Buying a car was a big step for me but the Niro won me over. Antwon Reid was my finance guy and he made closing a breeze. He worked with me on payments and had me out the door in no time.I would highly recommend Bob King Kia.

Don’t expect anyone working there to be wearing a mask. Even though they have notices on every door requiring customers to wear them. Asked my service rep why he wasn’t wearing one and he said it was because he was “snacking all day, and it was hot”. If you get your oil changed here bring a thick book or a long movie to watch because you will be waiting for more than an hour. I do appreciate the one female working up front though that was wearing a mask. I was asked to give the service department a rating via text and gave them a low # but they never followed up with me on why such a low score. You would think that the service manager would be curious as to such a low rating, but he may just be used to it by now. Will not be buying another kia from Bob King.
