They have a HUGE variety of things. The mall is laid out nicely and its clean and well organized. Its one of the biggest I have seen. The prices of 80% of the vendors were very high though. Some vendors had 50% off deals, some had 20% off deals so that was a nice surprise if you could find something in those booths. Not sure of their overhead, maybe they need to set the prices like that. To me, it was more like going through a museum than a mall because the prices for the most part were so outrageous. It was fun to see memories from my childhood, etc., but it seemed like the vendors didnt want to sell their stuff the way they had the prices set. Not all of them, but the majority for sure. We were made to wear a mask the entire time in the store, but really its so big you were never within 6 feet of anyone except maybe to pass them, but still had to wear it, however, when we got to the counter to pay, the older man behind the counter didnt have his on covering his whole face like she (the girl with the dyed red hair) told us we had to. Maybe Id go back after this fear is over to really enjoy browsing. I could have spent 3 hours at least but cut my time a bit short.
My child LEFT THIS STORE CRYING BC OF THE RUDE CASHIER!!!!! She literally said to my child “well you don’t have to buy it, you can leave at any time” my child is 12 people a kid!!! He was just asking the price of a guitar they had priced incorrectly. This lady has dark hair & is maybe in her 30s. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN, too bad bc the store has awesome stuff. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TALKED TO SOOOO RUDELY!! We drove 45mins to get there too. I called to report this & guess who answers the phone, this horrible lady, of course she wouldn’t even let me talk AND HUNG UP ON ME!! Uugghhhhhhhh
Update: Was here today and I understand they have a mask mandate which is fine, I saw 2 kids while i was there not wearing masks walking around in the store. Parents need to use their damn common sense and have their kids to wear a mask especially during a pandemic. IT PLAINLY SAYS ON THE ENTRANCE DOOR, MASK MANDATE!!!! NO MASK, NO SERVICE!!!! Not blaming the establishment for peoples stupidity! Still a great place to shop around and browse what youre looking for, will be back again soon.
This was my first time visiting this antique mall and i have to say it is the best one i have ever been to! The staff is really nice and even followed me home to look at some antiques i had for sale! There are many vendors and a huge inventory at reasonable prices. Simply an amazing shop and you should go right now!
This place is HUGE. the amount of vendors is so crazy. Each with their own flare. Prices vary depending on the goods, but we found a lot of things and they were willing to negotiate price. There’s a booth right near the entrance full of vintage goodies (handbags, scarves, handkerchiefs, etc), I died and went to heaven. Then there is a booth way in the back that will take you into the 70s. Nightgowns in pastels, vintage glassware, shoes. I died once more. Tons of furniture options as well. Literally you could find anything here....which is how most antique places are, but still. You’ll spend countless hours here hehe.
We are visitors to Winston-Salem and decided to check out a local antique mall. This place is AWESOME!! The store is full of items and treasures are everywhere! Most prices are fair for what these items are valued as, please keep in mind you are in an antique / vintage store. If you are a lover of art, this is the place to come searching for that hidden art treasure! Also plenty of antique/ vintage furniture pieces to keep you wishing you had more money to spend! My wife and I spent almost 3hrs looking around at all the great items from the past. Some parts of the store does have a slight cigarette smoke smell, but the rest of the store is clean and bright. As this is an antique mall, you can always negotiate on a item within reason at the counter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this antique mall for the people who love to hunt for something special.
Ive been to many different antique malls- this one has a wide variety of nostalgic items. You can find lots of rare items and often times not at EBay prices. Highly recommend! My first visit I swore to spend no more than $20 not expecting much, but ended up spending almost $90!
As my wife and I took a stroll through the mall we were transported back in time to simpler days. The mall was relatively well organized with many different booths and things to inspect. The sprawling layout with little directional guidelines would be my only critical thoughts. Will return again with a better grasp on the layout.
I am a frequent visitor! I love this place. It’s huge, clean, with plenty of deals to be found. I really appreciate the fact that they take this pandemic seriously and enforce their mask mandate. There is no reason we can’t be safe while doing something we enjoy, and wearing a mask is an effective way of doing that. Thank you!
Definitely will kill time in there looking at all the unique items they have to offer.
It was great. Had a lot of cool things such as old advertisement signs, memorabilia, even old weapons. I actually found an old WW2 Japanese Type 99 there! They have an assortment of relics from the past, fairly recent ones, and just downright cool ones. And trust me, its waaaay bigger than you think. Its really amazing
Good selection of antiques. Nice folks running the place.
Oh gosh where do I start? This place is HUGE!! There’s so much to look at! Some stuff was a bit on the pricey side but that’s understandable as a lot of items came with original packaging and were in very good condition.even if I mostly found some small things it was a really amazing experience looking at all the vintage toys :) thank you!!
Spoke with the gentleman that ran or owned the place he did not identify himself told me to bring my stuff in that he was interested and whenever I got there he had me pull everything out and then said he couldnt compete with eBay and to list my stuff on there he didnt even ask me what I was asking for my stuff he was just very short and rude never dealt with a businessman as ignorant as him
The young lady behind the counter is a rude and down right mean person. Rudely tell me to put my mask on if Im in the store. I told her I forgot to put it back on. And before she chastises me for not wearing my mask she should tell her coworker to put his on. And she told me that he didnt have to behind the counter....then yelling at me said that she wasnt mean to me but she is about to show me Mean! I never once raised my voice to this immature young lady. We were gonna spend a decent amount of money today. I will never step foot in this store again. And strongly suggest you dont either!
This place is huge! The outside is very deceiving.....almost like magic when you get inside, as its so expansive!
Lots to look at. Spent 2 hours looking around and still did not look at every booth.
Huge store. You might need a gps to navigate. Cool items for sale.
Ive never been treated more rudely at a retail establishment than I was at this place the afternoon of October 6, 2020. I asked to see an item in a locked cabinet and the female employee working behind the counter opened the cabinet and handed me the item for inspection. Approximately 1 minute later I decided against the purchase and I handed the item back to her and politely said thank you. When I noticed she was placing the item back inside the cabinet opposite of how it had been originally leaning against the shelf, I suggested she should position the item differently so it didnt fall forward inside the cabinet. Her response was a curt thats the way I got it out, sir! I wasnt going to argue with her, but she was wrong because part of the reason I wished to inspect the item was due to the way it was leaning against the shelf I had been unable to identify a particular component. She repositioned it again (incorrectly) and it rocked back and forth as she started to close the cabinet door. The item was now balancing inside the cabinet rather than leaning safely against the shelf and I politely recommended, again, that she simply reverse the position of the item to lean against the shelf. Like a child not getting her way, she let out an audible sigh of frustration, swung the door open, removed the item and then closed and locked the cabinet door, obviously refusing to take my suggestion. Very immature and spiteful. Apparently she had had enough of my polite recommendations to protect another vendors cabinet full of collectibles. Please note Im getting detailed in this particular experience because Im hoping she reads my comments. I wish I knew her name. Perhaps she was simply having a bad day, but that is no excuse to act that way toward a polite consumer.
The ladies in here arent all that nice and Ive been here three times and two of which they werent even there to pick something up that I ordered off wish.com one time they were there and I was there 9 minutes before they closed and they already had the clothes sign on the door is what it is I guess
I always really liked the selection. The old store smelled like smoke which limited how often I would go. The new location is bigger and nicer. q
Good place, lots of items here
Excellent place! Staff was very helpful and professional!!!
I enjoyed my visit! They have a great variety of stuff! If you are in the area and enjoy neat old finds do stop in!!!
Not very helpful .. cut the lights off while at least 50 people still inside ask if they would call a vendor and ask for alittle off they wouldnt they made the decision for the vendor so I decided to leave the item so the vendor list out
Need to refresh your staffs attitude. They also need to check the HIPPA requirements for asking people to wear a mask. Since when do you need an excuse from your asthma doctor to go in a store. They were rude to the customers. Not a place I would recommend
This is a really great antique mall -one of the best I’ve been to. Definitely worth checking out and even worth going out of your way to get to.
Great! Friendly with good service. Lots of great antiques, furniture, glassware, toys, books, collectibles and dishes.
So much to see! Happy people behind the counter! Great place to fine that odd thing.
Unique little find, found a lot of things at great prices!
Fairly large store with good variety of items. Well organized and easy to browse.
Love the different things there. It is bigger than I thought.
Love going and looking at antiques!!! Went with my sister today as a matter of fact,!!! We had a good time!!
Great place to find stuff from cool to weird.
This place is huge spent 2 1/2 hours and still could go back through and find stuff I wanted that I didnt see first time the staff are great jerry the manager is supper friendly and knowledgeable awesome place planning a return to spend day
Explored in here for at least an hour because it’s huge! There are so many cool artifacts and antiques that I didn’t even know existed. Great place to explore and find some trinkets or gifts!
Picking up item from Wish! Very helpful staff.
There are lots and lots and lots of antiques. A very good variety of different types of antiques. A little something for everyone. The only reason I didnt give it 5-star, is I thought things were a little pricey.
Great place. Great people
Great place to find so many things, if looking for something you cant find. Good chance you will find it here. This a antique store and much more! The prices here compared to other antique store are really great too! In fact I was actually surprised the items I purchased were a lot cheaper then I expected! Over all I was very pleased and will definitely shop again at lost in time antique.
Interesting and entertaining shopping experience! So much to see and buy. They really have something for everyone. If you like antiques and older curiosities from years past, make this Winston-Salem store a stop while in town and plan to meander through for about an hour and a half or two at least.
Not tentative to customer. Sharing political views loudly with others.
Got my items I ordered in a timely manner!
Place is huge, lots of variety. cashier dropped a firefighter helmet cracking the visor and blamed me, i was 6 feet away she knocked it off the counter, super rude... dropped to one start because of the smart reply, pleasure doing business miss.
Ive been going to Lost in Time for years. Its a great place full of treasures from the past! Booth owners are always willing to negotiate a price if you feel its too high. The staff are very friendly, always willing to answer questions and give a quick history lesson! Highly recommend, if you havent been before, allow yourself the whole afternoon, youre sure to get lost in time!
Very nice people...very nice place you can find just about anything
Nice place to buy antique things
Dont be fooled by the exterior, tons of really nice stuff inside! Booth type setup where every couple steps can lead to completely different wares. Clothes, classic toys, furniture, everything from Star wars figures and board games to a civil war cannonball!
Excellent antique store. Well organized with clear paths. The turnover is good so you always have something new to see. There is a lot of uncommon stuff like old casino machines and arcade games. Some local framed art scattered here and there- a good handful of Furches and Timberlakes last time I went. Wish there were more authentic old advertising signs- a lot of reproductions.
Easy to lose track of time in this place bc there is so much to see. If you love antiques definitely stop in.
Lots of vendors and a variety of items/prices... There really is something for everyone
Fantastic antique store. Lots of old toys! Will revisit. An antique store with antiques, not newer decor like alot of stores have nowadays.
Its a treasure chest of rare and wonderful things prices are steep on some items but many wonderful things that are priced Right. I had so many memories of my childhood just walking around, if your into old toys then its a have to go same for antique clocks. I cant wait to have more time to see these things again
So many clean and wonderful antiques. The booths are well maintained and there’s an absolute plethora of interesting collectibles.
Great place to go get as its called: Lost In Time Highly recommend to spend an afternoon
They have a great deal on antiques. Wide variety and selection of items. Located right off the highway close to the quality inn motel and eating places.
I love antique malls and this one was the best Ive ever been to. It was almost too much, as I got myself turned around a few times, but the booths were organized and everything was at reasonable or excellent prices. I wasnt sure at first because it looked like a hole in the wall place and not too promising but Im so glad I went in!
Very friendly. Will permit dogs as long as they are good. A wide range of items. Will be returning on every trip we take to North Carolina. It is well worth the trip to see all the items in here. Will bring back memories of the old days. You will be glad you went.
Love shopping here. All the stuff from the past and more
Fun place, great selection of all things antique. Tough to shop up front as its very smoky. The back of the store isnt as bad so we tend to start back there and rush through the front.Theres a great selection of old advertisement clocks on the wall near the entrance. Toys, furniture, textiles, a little bit of everything here!
Fun place. A lot to see!!
Well organized and great variety! Way WAY overpriced!!! Item after item was checked against what it sold for on eBay and the prices were 10-100% more. I don’t know how the vendors stay in business.
Pay attention: Lost In Time Antiques at 2105 Peters Creek Parkway is a quality operation. Id go so far as to describe it as the Cadillac of antique stores!!! Absolutely excellent business, professional in every way. (No, Im not related to these folks.) Ive been in the antiques business for much of my life. What I found was a clean, well-lit, well-organized space filled with quality stock that was reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable and had that Southern politeness thing going on to the max. Lost In Time Antiques is one of the top businesses in the trade Ive ever visited.NOW. Heres whats happening: As it so happens, the good Lost in Time Antiques happens to be right next door to another operation, also called Lost In Time Antiques. Its in a black glass building. Thats the scummy operation where the creepy, inbred chainsmokers are peddling filthy crap for ridiculous prices. Get it right, folks.
Really a nice antique store. So much to look at. Prices reasonable, the only thing if you take your items for them to hold they wrap them up and you have to be sure you got all your items when you check out.
Enjoy shopping here. Good variety of antiques
Always can find great quality antiques at Lost in Time. The staff is always extremely helpful. Things are displayed wonderfully. My favorite antique store in the entire State of North Carolina.
My husband & I always like coming to Lost in Time - which we hadnt been in a while and didnt realize they had moved - just across the parking lot. The old place smelled terrible of cigarette smoke - but was always fun to look around. The NEW location is very clean and organized and NO SMOKE SMELL at all. We asked the lady at the front when they moved and she said almost a year ago - we didnt realize it had been that long since we had been there. It was fun to look around at all the things in the store - however - most vendors are very very pricey. I would recommend going here.
Great selection of vendors, prices seem fair, employees are polite. Enjoy shopping here more so since the moved to the new space in the same parking lot. Definitely suggest checking it out.
I had the most pleasant time while, I shopped. Its an excellent experience to shop and reflect back in time when businesses sold certain items that takes you back to your early childhood. I purchased antique cast iron skillets.
Always new items. One of the best antique malls I have been too
This is a good size antique store that is packed with all kinds of highly desirable antiques and collecables! They are a little high on their prices but like most places.. if you asked or make an offer Im sure they will be happy to work with you on price. Nevertheless this store has tons of awesome antiques which you hardly every see in your typical antique shop. This place is a must stop if you are in or around the Winston Salem area..I definitely will be coming back soon to buy another pile of collectables from this place!!
Great items and great prices
Open 7 days.
A large selection of interesting stuff. Prices are a little higher than other similar places in the area. I would like it more if it wasnt for the cigarette smoke. It really ruined our visit and I doubt I will return. If they stopped that I would recommend this store but its just smell terrible and burns my eyes.
For an antique mall, this is what you are going to expect. When asking around town about other antique malls, owners of other shops told us to go to the Ashtray. They pointed us in the right direction and were very nice about their reviews of the mall. They mentioned the cigarette smoke smell of the store. Ive been around cigarette smoke all my life and Im not a smoker. However, this store does have a predominant smell of smoke throughout the store. Lots of items, but I would hesitate to buy any clothing from here. Luckily, I took off my jacket before I went it because I came out smelling like smoke. Other than that, its not a bad antique store! Go visit it! You might find something!
They are very proud of their stuff....crazy spendy.
Wow... I am so totally in shock over this lousy experience. First I would really like to say that I feel bad for the vendors who are wasting their money to have a booth at this mall. I would be so upset if that were me and the employees were smoking cigarettes INSIDE the store, damaging the contents of my booth with the cigarette smell. The vendors had such nice things, at great prices, but I wouldnt dare bring them into my home with that horrible cigarette smell. I lasted fifteen minutes in that store before being chocked out and having to walk out side. The man at the desk was taking drags off his cigarette while helping a customer- and continuously hacking up phlegm. I am so disgusting and I will never be back.
Great place for those who want antique furniture and those items that brings back the past of time. Some prices are high, most are fair. You can always try to negotiate. Have fun looking.
I honestly like the fact that they smoke in the store, it makes it seem exactly like the title of the store Lost in Time. Going into the store is an experience, their selection is amazing, and for the most part prices are very reasonable. There is always some sort of sale going on too. I visit often so I dont miss anything lol
Very nice things in there seen a9me knives i want to get
First time there. Found reasonable prices but some overpriced. Went to pay & wanted to run out of the store because the guy was so rude to everyone
I am leaving a four star review based on inventory, which was fantastic. Tons and tons of treasures. Reasonably priced, though overpriced for the area. One can find similar items for much lower prices at other stores around town. No bargaining room at all - wouldn’t even entertain it. The items I purchased were lower priced so that could be why, but most other stores in town will give a small discount if you purchase multiple items from one booth or at least call the booth owner to see if they’ll offer a tiny break. I slightly overpaid for some old books, but the prices were still reasonable enough and I really liked them, so I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately, the staff were not exactly warm and fuzzy, particularly one crochety older gentleman who was a bit nasty to me regarding my children and that really dampened the experience for me. I actually knocked into an old saw and it fell over. No big deal, it was perched there rather precariously. He didn’t see but assumed it was one of the children and came over and nastily told me “you need to watch them because if they break anything, you’re buying it”. Nope sir...not my kids, just a 38 year old woman who bumped into something in a cluttered booth, but thanks for the chiding. I get that these stores don’t like kids. I’d rather them out up a sign and just say they aren’t allowed. I’m a long time antiquer and picker and have utmost respect for these stores, their goods, etc. I’d never take my kids into a place I didn’t think they could handle nor would I tolerate them touching, running around, etc. Theyve been antiquing with me since birth and are well accustomed to proper etiquette in these stores. Might have been nice if he’d approached me a bit more courteously I made a few purchases because I found some smaller items I really liked, but I honestly feel a little badly that I gave them my money. I will focus on the fact that the booth vendors can’t be held responsible for the staff. I’ll be back I’m sure, as I’m a long time antique lover and collector, but customer service could use some work, and a quick scan through reviews below shows that I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Nice!
If you dont mind gagging from cigarette smoke you may be able to make it through the entire store. On our first visit we thought the far side of the store might not be as smoky so we practically ran in that direction. Once there we started finding items we wanted and picked them up. Halfway back to the front of the store the smoke became unbearable. Then I sniffed a couple of the items we were planning to purchase. Even they smelled like smoke. No way would I want them in my house so we just put them down and left. We tried the store again a year later and didnt get far inside the door before we were in a cloud of smoke. We just turned around and left. We recently decided to give it a third try. Again, filled with smoke and the sound of a man coughing up a lung. They even have a no smoking sign in the window. Its a shame their smoking is turning people away (read tripadvisor and some of the other review sites). One review I read was from someone antiquing in the area. They asked that store if there were any more antique shops in the area and the people told them they could try the ashtray if they didnt mind cigarette smoke. It really is a neat store. Too bad the men wont go out on the sidewalk to smoke.
Great selection. Get lost in there 😁
Great booth store but MUCH better now that they have moved around the corner. No longer smells bad. :-)
Overall, the store has a much larger space than it had, it has moved into the smaller mall in the same parking lot where it was. Im not sure why they moved end of this location, probably something to do with the rent or something.you must go to the right side toward the back that is the main entrance if you go into the front of the mall you have to walk at least halfway down and then they have to Drakes Elijah and then you walked still walk to the right side out to get into the entrance. This is an antique shop that has actually a little bit of everything dalene from the early 1900 to today, their prices are a lot higher then when they were in their own smaller section. Thats about the biggest problem that I have with Lost in Time, their prices are often too much for the material theyre trying to sell.I did see quite a few more interesting items a furniture lunch boxes cookie jars etc but I have not seen and a long time and in some cases didnt know they even existed. Itll take you about an hour or more if you stopped in and went up and down each and every owl because there is a great variety of stuff to look at.The staff is friendly most of the time, theres usually only one or two people working up front, the bathroom is not very big but it was clean overall. The shop is one of the largest ones and Winston there are others on Stratford but they too single thing but there items are worth a lot more just because of their.
My favorite place ever!! I always find beautiful things and it’s so fun to look
I live in Charlotte and I dont come up to Winston-Salem often. I love antique stores and I saw that they were open til 6pm ( Sunday ). I went in around 4:55pm, and I wasnt even hardly past the front door, when the guy said they were getting ready to close. I said, so youre not open til 6?. The guy said yes, but they were wanting to leave to watch the Tar Heel game on tv. I left. I just thought that was unprofessional as hell. I wont go back. Too many other shops out there that want the business and maybe they wont smell like a dirty chimney.
Lots of items very nicely displayed. Very friendly staff.
Great place!
Has a wonderful and eclectic selection of antiques, pity that you have to put up with a fog of cigarette smoke in order to look around. Theres even a sign on the door stating No food, no drinks, no smoking - yet there are a few guys there in the office area that constantly have a cigarette going. I can only imagine what the fabric or porous items for sale must smell like when taken home.On my last and final visit, I brough it up with one of the fellows and got a very angry, well, you dont have to be here. - so I left and havent been back. The building is a health hazard and I would warn anyone who is at all concerned about being around second-hand smoke to think twice about going shopping there.
Just picked up orders
Not worth the time to drive here.
Well organized store I find something nearly every time I go here
I like Lost in Time. It has furniture as well as tons of glassware and all kinds of memorabilia. Its cheerful, clean, well lit. The staff is helpful and courteous.
