I walked in the door 5 minutes before 3 on a Saturday, they sold me two tires even though I was told they were closed when I walked inside. Thanks I really needed a spare tire. Very friendly and helpful.

Great place! Blake, the owner, went above and beyond to get us back on the road when our travel trailer had a blowout. We needed a new tire and rewiring of our brakes. Anyone with an RV knows that repairs are usually very VERY hard to get done in a timely manner and they had us back on the road with 2 new tires and rewired within 24hrs. Other shops quoted us a week.Everyone at the shop seemed very friendly and genuine. Blake seems like a very interesting character too; he really seems to care about people, customers and otherwise. He even gave us a dozen eggs from his ranch as a gift on our way out! Ask him questions, hes got quite a world of knowledge and experience to share. Honestly it was almost worth the stress of the blowout just to meet him. Haha. Hope my next blowout happens near Winnemucca.

VEHICLE BREAKDOWNS BEWAREOur vehicle broke down on Hwy 80, so we were towed to Big O by Blake the owners other company, High Desert Towing.Tow truck driver visual diagnosed damage to U joint and transfer case, and called Blake and asked if he wanted to do the repair, and the response was, yes would be no problem to fix it. It was mutually agreed to give Big O about four days to look into the damage and give my husband an update on damage and parts eta. After two weeks, we were still waiting for any progress other than, we are working on sourcing your parts. After my husband called several times, he finally put a little pressure on Blake to provide a rough estimate, Blake stated that they actually had not even looked at the vehicle yet, so my husband said, but youve had the vehicle for two weeks... Blake then lost his s@8t and told my husband to come get the vehicle.Husband showed up at BIG O the next day to pick up the truck and Blake thought hed call the police to *raz my husband. So two police units came blazing in within 5 mins of my husband being there, and state, I understand there is a problem... But, there was no problem but you Blake, and the police left.If you run a customer service business, you need to be able to communicate clearly and set customer expectations. There was nothing unreasonable in my husbands management of this vehicle with you.So cannot agree more with another reviewer, Richard DAMICO, this owner THINKS he owns half the town, and MAY take advantage of you too if you take your vehicle there!

Solid service while traveling. Blew a tire on Jungo Road and they were able to fit a cheaper used tire to get us home. Sounds like they have trouble finding motivated employees so they might be backed up but the owner was working his a$$ off to get things moving when I showed up at 7:30am.

The owner Blake owns half the town and if you arent from the area he will take full advantage of you but act as if he is a saint and helping you. The man is a liar and a fraud. I waited over a month for a transmission while sleeping in a tent because I was traveling. I would never use this shop again. He said he would swap out a tire for me which I already had and he never did along with many other lies.

My experience and service could not have been better. My truck broke down on my way from Colorado to California. We had to get towed to big O tires where it was discovered I need a new water pump. They may Room for us on a Saturday and got us right in and was finished in less than 4 hours. But even recommended a great restaurant for us to have lunch at. What a great experience thank you big O

A tent stake on the road went through my tire outside of Winnemucca on 7/16 so I looked up where I could get it repaired. I was between Big O and Les Schwabb, both were $20. I ended up going to Big O because the overall stars were comparable and it was a slightly more convenient location.One review I found for Big O said that they could tell the owner really cares about the place, but that they may be short on help. Unfortunately, I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt as the hectic nature of that shop led to damage of my vehicle.The tire repair was simple and no big deal, they got that right. They also moved that tire from the front of my car to the back so itd be less dangerous if it blew out. Although that was thoughtful, in the process of doing so, they cracked the rim of the wheel they moved up from the back.We discovered this after driving 2 hours further to find that the tire they moved forward was running flat. We thought it was strange to be so unlucky as to have a second, unrelated flat 2 hours later so we had it checked at Americas Tire and they said the wheel that got moved up front had a cracked rim.There was NO issue with that wheel until Big O in Winnemucca moved it forward (and no, we did not go through any potholes/debris that would have cracked it). Because the cracked rim caused the tire to run flat, thats two compromised tires and a cracked wheel to deal with.I had complimented the owner before I left, telling him he was doing a great job keeping a positive attitide despite the busy weekend... Im sure they have a lot of rude people to deal with (hence 2 stars instead of 1). But their service definitely let me down and Im paying for it now.If the owner would like to reach out for resolution, I welcome them.

I was traveling through area and blew out a tire on my 4x4 truck and knew a was going to need a whole new set to keep going. I called three tire places and Big O was the last one I called and just with in the first minute I new this is the tire place I wanted to work with. They were very warm and seemed concerned about helping me and getting me back on the road as soon as possible, all without trying to upsell me or break the bank. Even if the tires had cost a little more I would recommend them anyway just because of the service and hospitality.

They were awesome!! We were towing our 5th wheel and tire was losing pressure. Called them and they were able to change out the value stem in a very timely manner. We didnt have any more problems with this tire!!

We had been on a trip to Idaho with our 35 ft 5th wheel, travelling with our daughter and son in law with their trailer also, stopped for fuel over by the McDonalds, and has my husband always checked around the vehicles, he sees nails in the trailer and the truck ! He asks me to look for a tire shop.OMG. Really, we were still 900 miles from home, and had been travelling for hours!I called another company that came up as closer to where we were, and the young lady on the phone was disinterested in assisting, and told me we could drive there, it would be at least 1.5 hours for them to assist.I then called BIG O.. a young lady answered, told me they do have roadside, but to hang on. Then a SUPER NICE dude answered, and told me if we can drive (which we could) to your location, they would check it out. BOOM, quick and easy, he gave me step by step directions on how to get there, and were there within 5 minutes. Someone was waiting and able to assist us, I can’t tell you how comforting this was.The Manager looking guy told us to go around to the alley, then the young man, tire tech came out, immediately assessed the situation. He tells us “You guys are so lucky” Both nails had not pierced into the tire to make an issue.. He removed them both, and said “Be on your way”I just wanted to tell you this is the one of the best travelling experiences I have had in a long time !

Probably the best, more courteous, customer service ever. Our rental car had a slow leak in a tire, called from the interstate they said come on in. Keep in mind this is Saturday. Upon arrival upon minutes they had the tire off, patched & fixed. This place was hopping with customers & we met the owner Blake who took the time to chat it up a bit. If we lived here we would definitely be back for service & tires. His staff was great! Thank you all for getting us back on the road!

On a trip to Utah from Oregon, fuel pump went out just outside of winnemucca. Called our insurance for a tow and they sent them from Big O tires, who in turn had a mechanic to work on our truck. Everyone from tow truck driver to mechanic to owner were amazing. They had us done in about 4 hours. God Bless.

I had a tire fall off and they had me towed back to town and back on the road before noon the next day. First time I walked in the store at 7am I was greeted as they had known me for years, friendly and helpful.Im Very impressed with the professionalism and quickness. Im a lil mixed feeling on this one. Had a flat on Christmas no place open shopped around the next morning had a choice between big o, les schwab n ok tire. Ok tire was closed, less schwab didnt have my tire size in stock. So I was left with big o. They had my tire but asked $120 for 1 tire. I could have gotten at least 2 new tires or 4 used for that price in sac or reno but hey u pay for that convience when in small towns n cities that dont have many options n especially during the holiday season. After all that the service was still great and nice people. Plus at the end he gave me a $21 price break so $99 but for a different rugged looking new tire. Im rolling tho. Guess it will do til I get back to sac or redding and get 4 new tires n make that one my spare. I hate the donut spare I have.

The service here was some of the best interaction we have ever had! While traveling our brakes went out and they took our vehicle in with only 30 minutes to close. On top of that they even went down the road and picked up dinner for us! Blakes service is unmatched!

He got me back on the road in no time and I made it to Texas without anymore engine troubles. His tow truck driver, Jorge was courteous, professional and very helpful as well. This place is great. We had issues with our trailer tires on the holiday Monday and one of their tire guys came in and helped us out even though it was supposed to be his day off. They also got it done right away, to get us going, and avoid my wife and brother in law having to use extra vacation time. They were friendly, professional and even talked to our insurance/road side assistance people to explain the situation. Amazing service, go here if you are in a bind in the area.

Ok, so look the brand of Big O tires are not great. The tires are only good if you can afford to step up to Cooper tires. So why did I give five stars at this location? Because of the service. The owner Blake is by far the best tire shop owner around. He rescued me from blown out tires two days in a row, sold me some new tires and they were expedient, courteous and they genuinely care about their customers. Who tows somebody to the tire shop from the side of the freeway!? These guys do. In my prior experiences at this location I received the same level of customer care. I cant say enough about these folks. Pleased, satisfied, just isnt enough to express my gratitude to the team at Big O Winnemucca, Nevada. Thank you Blake. God bless you. The tires on the other hand, well as I said get the Cooper brand.Update: Had a nail in one tire. Took it in and wanted it patched. I didnt buy a road hazard warranty so I fully expected to pay for that service. I mean after all a tire patch takes time and labor. When the wonderful technician was done, went in to pay. No charge. What? Are you kidding? Nope, no charge. That is how great this shop cared for its customers! Once again I can not say enough about Big O Tires in Winnemucca. I will never go anywhere else. Doug was very helpful when I went in and answered all of my questions. I was greeted with a smile and offered coffee and a muffin. Really appreciated that, since I had been to previous tire shop and felt like I was more of a burden than a customer.

Great service! Our 2009 Sienna sprung an oil leak through a hose. We got there just an hour before they closed on a Saturday on our way from California to Yellowstone. The team got it on the lift and diagnosed right away. They showed me what was wrong (thankfully something minor!) And fixed the problem promptly. No issues after we got back on the road. Super friendly, honest, and hardworking. Definitely recommend.

Blake is wonderful. We had vehicle troubles on out way back to Utah and had to stop for the night. He squeezed us in the next morning before our check out time, called us a shuttle to have breakfast at a local hotel casino, and even asked the shuttle drive to swing by our hotel to grab our kids. His estimate was fair and he was gracious and friendly.

Stold my truck and RV

From Vegas, as a lost visitor in Winnemucca, I stopped in here for directions. It was busy but everyone was being treated quickly and with respect. A tall gray haired gentleman with neat beard took time to answer my questions and send me on the correct route to find butane for my camp stove. If I lived anywhere close, Id bring my business for sure. Thanks to his help I was able to enjoy my camping trip and cook the trout I caught!

My friends and I were on the last 6 hours of our 14 hour drive home to Salt Lake when my engine light turned on. After going to 2 other shops to figure out how we could get home without major repair we landed at this Big-O. Logan, Rachelle and another gentleman helped us get on our way. They were BEYOND nice and went out of their way to get us going. If we lived closer we would definetly go back. THANKS AGAIN!

Had a problem traveling in Nevada and needed to be somewhere in San Francisco that night, and they got me back on the road quickly with some new tires. They have a great staff, the whole experience was good and I made my event that evening. This seems like a well run business and couldn’t have been happier with the results.

11/16/2017 - Showed up 10:00AM hoping to get my tires rotated and parking brake adjusted. Talk to the owner, Blake Lambert, about what I need done and pointing out that I have a truck camper (higher clearance). They are busy, but he makes it seem like he will be able to get me in for at least the rotation in 2 hours. Gives me his card and says call in 2 hours.Called 2 hours later. Karen answers and I ask to talk to Blake. He remembers who I am and says it will be about another hour.Called 1 hour later. Karen answers and I recap who I am and ask her to check if they are ready for me yet. Karen checks and says they arent ready yet and they can get me in in an hour. I ask if I should call in an hour, or just show up, she confirms just show up.So I show up an hour later. Blake is manning the front desk dealing with another customer. Once he gets to me he says hi, have a seat, Ill get you in the next bay. I give him a puzzled look and point out my truck camper again and ask if it will fit in his bays. It wont. This was the point it clicked for him that we have a problem. He says no, and he wont be able to get me in today.I began to recap for him the above about waiting half the day to get this done and pointed out that I pointed out my rig to him from the very beginning and he should have realized he wouldnt be able to get me in that day. There were no customers or workers around. Just us. I never raised my voice, or said anything insulting. Just recapped the above.While doing so, Blake interrupted me multiple times, made no attempt to find a solution, offered no apologies for wasting half my day, and in the end told me I should find someone else to do the job. I agreed, and he walked me out, offering to get the door for me, further confirming he didnt want any of my business.Avoid this shop. Winnemucca is a big enough town that Im sure there are much better options.

I want to thank Marshall and the crew at Winnemucca Tire for taking me in immediately and finding the problem with the wheel balance and getting me back on my travels.In addition, I found a great Coffee shop called Java City right around the corner!Got balanced, got 3 shots and a got back on highway in less than a hour!Great service, all the way around!

I had a flat tire while entering town for the night. I liked that they were open at 7:30 am. They found a good replacement and worked on it right away. Then 20 minutes went by between finishing the car and processing the paperwork. There was a lack of communication among the staff.

We broke down the night before and got a tow to the shop the following morning. Instantly the owner acted as if he was doing us a favor just for being open on a Saturday. We told him exactly what had caused us to breakdown, which was a hole in the side of the fuel line that had caused an engine fire. We explained the issue, and were assured it would be fixed. When they were all done I went to inspect the work because I knew something was amiss. Not only did they try and install parts without asking us, but they had never even fixed the fuel leak. We could have had another engine fire the next time we started it up. They did not apologize for any of this, and acted as if the whole thing was totally bewildering for them. About 2 miles down the road after leaving the shop, our vehicle started sputtering violently causing us to pull over. They had left pliars on the gas line stopping gas from flowing to the pump. They had also neglected to properly reattach the fuel lines with hose clamps. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic.

I came in late and they were still able to help me without an appointment. Friendly staff, great service, fair prices. Very pleased with my experience here.

I broke down 44 miles west of Winnemucca on a trip from the bay area to Jackson Hole. Even though it was after hours, Blake answered my phone call and assured me that my car would get looked at first thing in the morning. Blake and his staff worked tirelessly to get me back on the road, when the shipping for a part said two days, they did some research, and were able to find one to get here overnight. Blake and his staff were friendly, answered all my questions, showed me what needed to be done before hey did it, and were completely transparent on the costs.

They saved us! On our way to Wyoming, we had a flat tire 14 miles outside of their town. They stayed past closing time on a Saturday, waited for us, and put on new tires so we could continue on our way. We cant thank them enough!!!!

So thankful I found this shop! I broke down and had still had 2000 miles to go...they found out the issue and not only did i make it home but now my car is driving better than ever ! 🔥🙏

Incredibly gracious service. We broke down and not only did they go the extra mile to chase down a part we needed for the repair, they made sure that we (including our cats) were comfortable while we waited, AND they gave us an extremely reasonable price. Car trouble on a road trip can be a nightmare, but the people at Big O Tires in Winnemucca made it into a altogether pleasant experience.

Went in for an alignment but was was informed they could not do it do to a problem that kept them from being able to. Was good to find out, because we did not know of this problem. We got it fixed, so now all is good.

Terrible, We had to leave our RV for repair. Blake let one of his former employees live in it while it was there. when we got it back it had trash, cigarette burns, feces, urine, clothing, cigarette cartons, trash all over it. SHAME ON THE TIRE FACTORY! I would never recommend ANY TIRE FACTORY EVER! I called their corporate office and they did NOTHING! about three hours down the road after picking it up, it BROKE DOWN AGAIN. the mechanic we took it to disputed any work had EVER been done. they took our money, damaged our property, and lied about it all. filing a lawsuit. anyone with a similar story? leave message, I will contact you.

Our car broke down on the side of the highway, on our way from ID to CA for a family wedding, outside Winnemucca and was towed to Big O Tires. We were treated really well by Blake the owner and his wife. They showed us great hospitality in the midst of a stressful time. He was honest and showed us the problem after diagnosis and shared the steps needed to make the repair. They worked quickly and professionally to get our car fixed before the shop closed so we could get back on the road. They were friendly and the shop has a great atmosphere. Our daughters had a lot of fun hanging out with the shop dog as well. Overall we would highly recommend this shop as we had a terrific experience.

The transmission on my 2008 Nissan Rogue died while I was driving on I 80 across Nevada. I was towed to the Big-O Tires shop in Winnemucca. The owner, Blake, and his staff was one of the bright spots in this experience. They treated me very well and fairly.

My mom broke down and got towed here. They were able to fix problem (the wheel fell off) in less than a day and were not too expensive. They treated my elderly mom very well.

The guys in Winnemucca, Nevada were awesome. We broke down here enroute from Prineville, Oregon home to Saint David, Arizona and they helped us get back on the road without gougeing us. They gave us an honest evaluation and assured us that we were going to be okay. Without their honesty it could have cost $900.00! The owner there did not load test my batter when trying to determine if it was good or not. He yelled and acted improper when I tried to get him to load test it. Maybe hes under some kind of stress or something, but he should probably try to control his anger somehow.

Owner is a thief. went to change one tire made me change the other one called the cops and forced me to change the tire. these guys are impersonating to be a state trooper of the town. called the state trooper and the pd and they have no logs of officers going out yet again time after time every time i want to file a complaint against those troopers the owner refuses to give me there real name. so it seems like they someone in their family is pretending to be a the trooper of the town and using police uniform to threaten outsiders into buying things that they do no need. we would really appreciate the owner respond to this review with the officers full name and their badge number.

We have had two experiences while living here in Winnemucca.The first experience.I called in on the phone and inquired about getting our brakes checked. I asked if I could set up a time/appointment to come in. The lady informed me that they do not do appointments and to come in anytime the next day. I came in the next day at 10 am. They told me they were backed up until 2, and to come back at 2. I came back at two and they said they didn’t have time at the moment, but call in an hour. I called an hour later and they said they didn’t have any time that day. Few thoughts on this, I spent a good portion of my day off trying to get something basic finished and got the run around. On the last call in I asked the lady if I could share some feedback, and she said she would love to hear it. I told her about the run around I got and mentioned that they might either want to work people in who said they would have time or to do appointments. She got defensive and said again, “we don’t do appointments.” In other towns I have lived in, they want your business and will give you a call back when they are ready, instead of making customers wait on them.Second ExperienceMy wife then took it in the next week since I had to work. She got worked in within 2 hours. They gave us a quote and actually worked hard to get a stuck bolt out of the caliper so we wouldn’t have to replace. They also ground our rotors down to save us a little cost(hence the 2 stars, would be 1 star if not.) They charged us for 1 hour labor more than the time it took to fix(and from the looks of it, they didn’t really hurry on that either). My wife then asked why they charged for one more hour than it took. They replied it is a standard charge no matter how long it takes. My thoughts on this experience are, they take their time and are dishonest or misrepresent their labor charges. Mind you my wife and I share one vehicle and she had our baby with her. She was stuck there the whole time it took as well, which is fine, other than the condition of the establishment(which is shared below).The establishmentWhen you walk in, the place is not well kept, dirty rugs, disorganized papers(which is pretty normal). What is not normal is there were two dogs sitting right by the front entrance. While we were there a guy tripped over the German Sheppard and the dog lunged at him trying to snap at him. This is a huge liability for the company. We also noticed they have food and water, litter box for the cat, etc. It appears as though the animals live there. The bathrooms were also not clean.I am grateful they helped us out, but in th end could not recommend this place to anybody. It is a sad commentary that small towns like this, businesses survive and scalp people because there are not other viable options.

Ill go to walmart before i go here. Recently the staff didnt make sure a car was secure, and it rolled out in traffic, nearly hitting me as i passed. I wouldnt trust them with my car. They are horrible with out of towners. No thanks.

This is absolutely the worst expierence I have ever had. The owner is a pomous, arrogant prick that doesnt care what the customer thinks.I originally called because we were broke down on the side on the road, and I was trying to get help in diagnosing the problem. I was originally met wiyh an attitude of Why are you even asking me?. My expierence got worse as time went on. The owner Blake has his entire staff brow beatten to the point that they wont even stand for whats right. It took a Corpotate Rep from Salt Lake City to finally get my vehicle fixed and out from under this tyrant.If you can go to ANYWHERE else I suggest you do. The illegal immigrants would would make me fell more comfortable doing business this this guy. Go yhe extra 100 miles for real service

Flat on saturday., would not answer phone for after hours. get motel, call again on sunday. manager did not want me to come by store. I did anyway. charged 75 to open store, however store was already opened up when i arrived and they were already working on other peoples tires before and after me. If im going to get effed on the bill, please just fill that amount in the effed column. dont lie and say we had to open the store up just for you.
