I came in there today as my Cannondale has some slight shifting issues. I was greeted by a guy who maybe was a red head at one point in his life but appears to be mostly bald. I asked if they did service and repair. He said we do, but just to let you know we are about 2 weeks out on repairs. I started to make friendly small talk and said that with the heat I thought it was a good time to bring in my bike to get repaired since I wont be riding. The guy condescendingly waved his hand at the myriad of bikes needing repairs and says well all these are ahead of you in such a rude tone. At that point I just turned around and said thanks and walked out. Element sports down the street was closed today so thats why I decided to give Blue ridge cycle a chance. However, this will be the first and last time I step foot in their business. I didnt say or do anything to warrant that kind of response from that man. Approach is everything.
My wife and I bought some Preowned bicycles and brought them in to get checked for safety and functionality. The guys at this shop were responsive and professional and did everything thing to make sure our new (to us) bicycles were operating safely and appropriately. Additionally they also got them done in about a quarter of the time that they originally quoted us. I highly recommend this place for your service needs.
Unbelievably good service! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Cant say enough good things about BRB. Wish I could give them more stars.
I just got my 30yo bike back from a major tune-up and its good as new. Staff was great about making sure I understood and approved of all of the repairs.
I stopped by on a Tuesday to see if they could check the quality of my inner tubes, they were polite and after checking them out gave me the A-okay. Fast forward to Thursday when I accidentally punctured one of my tubes changing out the tire, they were so helpful and quick with replacing my inner tube but the real kicker was the price! I was so surprised at how inexpensive and quick their service was, I would highly recommend them for any of your cycling needs!!
Great shop and excellent service. I took in an old beat up Trek 820, it came back like new! Thank you!
Very helpful shop. Still has a nice amount of parts and various supplies. Great deal on Craft gloves, of which I purchased 2.
Knowledgeable, personable new owner who is dedicated to promoting bicycling and personally sponsors club rides and events. Excellent repairs but is suffering from the universal shortage of new bicycles and components. Local Winchester Wheelmen club often meets here as it is big enough to accommodate social distancing. Spin classes are planned this winter.
Ordered a bike in early December. Went to check on it in April and it is shown as delievered but they cant find it in their inventory. Bought a comparable bike from a competitor and will have it in 3 days.
Two weeks ago, I walked across town with my 15 y.o. 21-speed Schwinn MTB, since my chain had broken -- the Blue Ridge Bicycles employee said that I needed a new chain ($15) plus I needed a new cable (negligible cost) for my rear derailleur and that I would have to pay $5-10 labor. When they finished, I was told the total was over $30, so I objected, since $15 + tax + $5-10 labor couldnt total $30 and certainly not over $30 as they claimed, then the new owner claimed that the employee had quoted me $15 for the labor (admittedly I had trouble understanding him through his mask, but fifteen doesnt sound anything like the five or ten I heard and Im a little hard of hearing, but Im not deaf, so I cant believe this was a misunderstanding on my part). Anyway, the owner reduced the labor to $5, then claimed that I had supposedly had a similar dispute previously (that I cant remember), so I will have to prepay for any future labor. I left without saying another word fuming because the new owner basically called me a liar after I caught them trying to do bait and switch on my labor. I wasnt planning on ever doing business with them ever again, but yesterday, their cable replacement fell apart, my chain is severely jammed, my rear derailleur is out of position and the cable is disconnected after riding less than ten miles after their repair.
Awesome service! Stopped by recommendation from a friend and was more then pleased. Had to replace clips on cycling shoes and they’ve done it in 5 minutes. Priced right too !
Very knowledgeable and professional. They completed an urgent repair of my bike and at a reasonable price very quickly. If your thinking if buying or just getting repairs done see Blue Ridge Bicycles first!
I went down to blue ridge bikes yesterday and I was very impressed with the service they got all the parts i needed for my Trek mt220 very impressed
Stopped by to get a mountain bike for my 12 year old daughter, every bike she liked she was told by the store employee “she doesn’t want that one, she needs this one”. I shrugged it off the first time but it became clear he knew what she liked more than she did. I understand being knowledgeable and offering constructive input that the customer can use to base their purchase on but this was not that kind of input. As a business owner I can’t for the life of me understand the store owners reason for employing someone with no people skills. We drove a block down the road and spent $740 on her new mountain bike within 10 minutes of leaving Blue Ridge Cycles.
The staff here is rude and unwelcoming. I will never spend my money in a place that doesnt value its customers
The staff were great in helping me purchase two bikes for my 8 and 11 year old sons
Overall great experience! I spoke with Logan who pointed me in the direction of exactly what I told him I wanted, which was pretty specific. He was very polite, knowledgeable and no pressure to purchase. Buying experience was a breeze, and service has been great! Recommend to anyone for parts, bikes, or service needs.
I was on a bicycle trip in September when my derailleur hanger was damaged, leaving my bike with a very limited range of gears...not a good situation during a self supported tour! Fortunately, this malfunction happened about a mile from Blue Ridge Bicycles, and within a half hour of opening, Logan had my derailleur fixed, plus a few other adjustments, for a very reasonable price. Thanks to Logan, a potential trip ending-disaster was averted!
Had an amazing stop here this weekend. I am brand new to biking and they took care of me making sure i had everything i needed and let me try several different bikes without jumping through alot of hoops. I bought a bike from them without hesitation and the one year service warranty for a new bike made me very happy.
Friendly staff! I had my bike repaired by them in less than 20 minutes at an affordable price. I am very pleased with their work and will return for my biking needs! Thank you
Another one of my best stores excellent price and work.
Very helpful and courteous. Did what I ask to fix my bike. Also they have a nice inventory.Would recommend them for bicycle enthusiasts.
Fixed my bike without any problems.
Fast, efficient, and extremely polite. Gentleman who assisted me had repairs done in less than 10 min at a reasonable price. Return customer forever. You guys rock!!! Definitely the place to go.
Great local shop, quick knowledgeable service.
An amazing store. Very friendly, very helpful. I will continue to drive past other stores to do business with this shop. Keep up the great work.
Quick, diplomatic service for a curmudgeon needing wheels for his wheelchair.
I highly recommend this bike shop! Logan was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. He was very patient as we spent over a hour trying different bikes without every being pushy to make the sale. This place rocks!!!
Great experience, excellent service and fair prices! Definitely the go to bike shop.
They know what theyre doing they do it properly and they do it efficiently and their pleasant.
Great bike shop with lots of selection. The expertise is excellent and all the prices are fair. Has excellent customer service and I never leave dissapointed.
Just bought a bike from Blue Ridge Bicycles this week for our daughter, a Raleigh Alysa 1. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, and their prices are reasonable in my opinion. Wed certainly do business with them again.
My back tire was misaligned and the person fixed it and did not charge a dime. Great service helpful staff and a all around great environment.
Awesome staff services, clear explanation, suggests for part replacement when it is necessary, will try to work with your schedule.
I have over 20 years experience with this bicycle shop and now travel over 100 miles to continue working with them. They take pride in their work, they do excellent work, and they are always pleasant.
Very good service and the best pricing around. Definitely worth the drive from Purcellville!
Ive patronized this shop for years. Nice people, good service and always something new to drool over.
