My husband and I stumbled onto DE Hardscape by doing a google search. We when out to take a look at their yard. It’s so nicely laid out and they actually let you hand pick the boulders you want-even if they’re on another pallet or grouped with other rocks. I’m a homeowner who decided to build a patio, retaining wall, and waterfall and didn’t have any real experience with rock. When I went to DHS in February to figure out what I needed I wasn’t sure how I would be received, I figured DHS was more of a pro contractor place. While they obviously serve a lot of pro’s, everyone I’ve worked with at DHS was incredibly helpful and friendly and didn’t make me feel like a DIY’er. Taylor in particular worked with me extensively over the past 7 months as my project grew in size and I kept adding things. She made sure that I understood the different products that they carried, which one was right for what I described what I was doing, and she personally ensured that the products that were delivered was exactly what I wanted. I started with a crusher base (40 tons), a rock dust layer (8 tons-their rock dust is superior to other places, trust me it makes a difference), 20 pallets of rock- 5 of the 3”-5” for the retaining wall, 12 of the PA Irregular-it was all beautiful and unique, and 3 of stepping stones, and 30 bags of gator dust. I must have had 8-10 deliveries since February -I could only handle so much product at one time- they’re very easy to schedule with -the entire office team is so friendly, they call to confirm the day of delivery, they show up when they say they will and the drivers place the product exactly where I’ve asked each time- I’ve not had one issue. I’ve also had 20+ yards of mulch delivered this summer and again, their team has handled each delivery with precision. I’ve been to their yard a couple of times to pick up a few extra rocks, small river jack, etc and the yard team is also friendly and helpful and aren’t bothered by the obvious homeowner guy wondering around the yard picking out rocks. They’re pricing is great - not sure they’re the cheapest, but the service, the quality, and accuracy is worth any small difference, the variety of options in rock is great- if you don’t see what you want they’ll get it for you, the entire team is friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcome. I’m already dreaming up next year’s project!

Called around to compare prices, Delaware Hardscape Supply was right in the mix. We called back to go with them and the receptionist was very friendly. We told them what we wanted and we had it delivered not even 24 hours later. Great customer service and will definitely use them again!

Their topsoil/compost mix is full of clay bits, and almost useless for gardening. I am beyond frustrated with this product - if it undergoes any compression at all it does not drain and forms tight clumps. If you want to actually grow things (like vegetables), stay away from their soil. Sorely disappointed, since I now have to amend it with actual garden soil. Customer service is excellent, and they are very accommodating. The mulch is good and reasonably priced. Wont buy soil from them again, though.To be fair, the soil is 0.5 stars, and the mulch and customer service would be 5.

There topsoil was nicely screened and rich. Driver was great. He dropped it right where I needed it and the project came out great.

Very helpful and friendly. They were able to answer all of my questions prior to ordering. Placing my order was very easy and convenient and delivery was right on time. The delivery driver was also extremely helpful and kind and he was even able to drop the 7 yards of topsoil exactly where I wanted it which saved us a lot of labor walking back and forth. All around great company and service and would definitely recommend!

I like the service and the price is really cheap. If you have a pick truck with good shocks this is a place for you.I bought 3/4 tone gravel for less than 30 bucks. Home Depot can’t beat that.

Why waste money on fresh mulch every spring when DE Hardscapes red shale looks great and lasts forever? This company is super-easy to communicate with and the delivery driver is very accurate regarding dump location. Now if we could only get the garden gnomes to move this 4 tons of stones into the beds :)

My first (but certainly NOT my last!) experience with DHS was smooth and easy from beginning to end. Questions were answered promptly and professionally (by phone and email) so that I could determine exactly what I needed/wanted. When asked when I wanted the mulch delivered, I responded with the usual 3-hour timeframe, and they narrowed it to one! There was a slight delay with the delivery, but they called, APOLOGIZED, and said they would be there within the hour. Delivery was only delayed by 30 minutes from the original timeframe. The quality of the mulch is very good, too--uniform texture, color, and very clean compared to other companies with whom I have worked in the past.

I had no idea what I was doing or what I was looking for but after visiting DHS and speaking with Cindy I was not only able to figure out what I needed and how much but I was actually able to hand pick the boulders I wanted. I purchased 2 boulders, 4 ton of river jack, 4 ton of red shale and 6 yards of black dyed mulch. The products were spectacular and have held up quite nicely through all of this wind and rain weve been having. They called prior to delivery, the driver was on time & courteous!
