Some local posting their address as a dive shop. Refuses to answer the phone during posted business hours. Doubt they have any dive equipment there unless its in the basement of their house. No equipment means youre not a dive shop.Most likely just an instructors house falsely advertised. Dont waste you time, find a real sponsored dive shop with people behind a counter to help you buy equipment and set up dives like Aquatic Safari up the street.

Shawn is great instructor & always teaches the importance of saftey & being a Smart Diver. The classes are very professionally taught. Scuba Now has its own private poolfor the training 1st weekend in safe environment.& 2nd weekend Scuba Now uses their private lake for open water skills training and Verification they have learned all the requirements to become safe open water Diver. I would highly recommend Scuba - Now. The instructor is Awesome teacher.

I recently visited Scuba Now in search of help choosing new gear for an upcoming dive. Upon arrival, I was politely greeted by one of their employees. The young woman I spoke to was extremely personable, and took great care into learning the types of gear I was interested. She brought me around the store showing me different products, which I was very surprised at the knowledge of these employees. Any question I had, was answered thoroughly. I am excited for my upcoming dive. Thank you Scuba Now for all of your help! I will be coming here for all of my scuba needs.

Took my 10 year old there to get her first SCUBA certification and I cant say enough about how well we were treated. We have found our new home for diving. The owner and staff were professional and friendly and I felt 100% safe trusting them with my daughter in the water.

The stock they have is plentiful. The customer service not so much. Walked in and one girl was eating at the desk. Went to ask them a question about great and instead of guiding us to the fest they sent is alone to look at it which took away the ability to ask questions. Asked about charters and dive sites, and they couldnt be bothered. The store was empty when we walked in. (Were there on a Friday). Gear wise i would recommend it, customer friendly wise i would recommend going elsewhere.

I heard about these guys on the radio. They offered an incredible open water package ($199), so I went for it. So far Ive taken the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Nitrox classes with these guys. Not only are their prices the best Ive seen anywhere, my Instructor Allen was absolutely professional and totally competent. During a confined water pool dive, I watched as a student had a problem and lost her mouthpiece. Allen instinctively had his alternate air source in her mouth before she even realized she lost her own. Seeing that immediately impressed me and gave me confidence that I was learning from a true pro. Their rental equipment is the best available (were talking Atomic regulators and and gear!) and their dive boats are state of the art. While these guys are the newest dive shop in town, it wont be long until they are indisputably the best in town, if not the entire East Coast. I have never felt any pressure to buy anything (even though I have, and intend to buy all my gear through them). All the shop personnel I have met are courteous, helpful, and competent. These guys are a class act!

Went to the shop for the first time when they were throwing a spring time bash and had scuba classes on sale I decided to sign up for the class I asked the girl if there is any date this class needs to be done by she said no.not more then a few months I moved away I’ve contacted them 4-5 time by email and have gotten no where. When I was visiting up there I went in to try and talk to them and showed them I paid and no longer live there and would like a refund or store credit they said they don’t offer that class anymore. I’m not looking to pay more now for a class I already paid 200+ for and they now say they can’t give me store credit and they will see about a refund it’s now been over a year and coming up on 2 this is redick.I wish I could collect 200 from people and give nothing in return they will get no business from me or my family up there thanks scuba now.

I HAVE HAD A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH SCUBA NOW SINCE DAY 1. I WORK 2ND SHIFT AND JONATHAN WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING WITH MY SCHEDULE FOR THE OPEN/ADVANCED SCUBA COURSE(CERTIFIED THIS YEAR). JONATHAN, DENISE, LOUIS AND DAVID HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PATIENT/PROFESSIONAL WHETHER IN THE SHOP OR ON A DIVE. I HAVE DOVE WITH A COUPLE OTHER SHOPS AND NONE COMPARE WITH SCUBA NOW. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL.

My daughter and I received our open water certificates with SCUBA NOW in 2010. We moved to Texas and I enjoyed the instructors and owner so much that we flew back to NC to have them certify my wife. My daughter and I were able to retake the training and pool instruction again at no charge. We are going to purchase all my wifes gear from them also. Great service and people.

Getting my Scuba Certification with Scuba Now was one of the best experiences Ive ever had.Scuba Now was highly recommended by a friend of mine and even tho they are 3 hours from where I live, he spoke so highly of them, I made the trip and very glad I did.From day 1 of booking the Scuba Certification Class, Inman and his staff was extremely helpful. Inman made himself very accessible and was more than happy to help me on some questions I had while taking the online portion of the class.Then the real fun began. Because of my schedule, I booked a private class and my instructor was J.D. and he was just awesome. He was very thorough,patient and encouraged me on some of the things I was less comfortable with.I also have to give props to Christian, the Captain. He knows the waters very well and was on point while we were below.I cant say enough good things about the entire experience and the staff. In fact Im doing a 80 foot wreck dive this weekend with Scuba Now and my buddy is getting his certification this weekend as well.Its going to be an awesome weekend! Thank you Scuba Now!

Will NOT be going back here. Called ahead of time to make sure they would have my part for my bcd. Got there today and they didnt. They knew I was coming as well. Cost twice as much as I was quoted.. Very unimpressed.

I dont generally take the time to review restaurants or businesses but felt it was worth doing because of the positive experience we had with SCUBA Now. I booked charters with all the local Wilmington companies over a long weekend on various dive sites for my sons and I to check out the area. We ended up going to Frying Pan tower with SCUBA now. The captain and boat crew were professional and very cool people to spend the day with. It’s a long run out to this site so the divers and crew had a lot of time to chat. Once at the site we never felt rushed or on any type of time line which I did experience with other dive operations.As I said I had booked a dive trip a day over a 4-day period with various companies. There was a scheduling conflict one day where we were double booked with SCUBA Now and another company. They refunded me for that day and for one of my sons on the day we did dive with them as he waved off that day to hang out on the beach. No questions asked and no conflict.Lastly I purchased a back up reg/octo that fits on your BC after seeing one of the crewmembers on the boat using one. The staff was extremely helpful, they installed the necessary line on my 1st stage while I was in the shop and pressure tested to make sure everything was working, as it should. Bottom line: Recreational SCUBA is a customer based service industry; I got good service with SCUBA Now. You wont be disappointed booking a charter or buying kit from the shop. Next time we come Wilmington to dive we will definitely book with them.For the shop; I would offer a recommendation: Develop a system to send email confirmations to customers who book charters. This would be useful to the customer to keep things organized when doing multiple trips and could also be used to notify of changes in dive sites or schedule.

Purchased a new spear gun that was supposed to come with a carry case (that I found out about when trying to get the manual from the manufacturer that I knew was missing) . As its a gift.So I called the store and they said it was lost, but I could return the gun if I didnt mind a 20% restocking fee !!!So I probably wont be back. (Im one of those guys that tries to buy local)No wonder the world is steadily going on line to shop. Most online vendors would have done something different.

Id say they dont even deserve a star. The owner is a self-righteous jackass and the staff is horrible! I have never seen so much immature behavior in my life. We went out to a place to dive, about 20-23 miles out. There was already a scuba diving boat with people in the water and the boat mates on Scuba Now began to chuck cannonball jellyfish at the other Scuba boat and yelled profanity at them. GROW UP SCUBA NOW. No wonder you guys are losing business. Its not the diving, its your attitude!

Above Expected a positive experience, stopped here looking for a 3 mil wetsuit jacket for my fall kayaking. They didnt have one, same with some other shops in town. Thats ok being Jeremy spent a lot of time suggesting others places to look. Plus he didnt try to pressure me into buying something else. Being I use to dive we had a lot to talk about. They have a lot of accessory for paddlers in their well stocked shop. BTW I agree with Sean Hamptons post being we had a bad experience at another dive shop here in town. Two there are very defensive with a short temper. Im surprised they have 4.5 Stars .. Trust but Verify ...

Bought a faulty mask from them. Good luck trying to return anything ever, once it goes in the water they wont take it back. Its too bad if the customer isnt pleased with it.

1st. I must say I hate seeing fake 1 star reviews on this page. Clearly it must be the other dive shops mad about him taking the share of local business here.2nd. I came to scuba now to learn more about the company, and to make purchases of equipment from them. Ive bought a zeagle covert bc, dive bag, several small misc items, and had my tanks filled a few times now from them, and even rented a few extra tanks for a tournament I just attended. These guys are awesome. One of them even stayed past hours on a Saturday to help me get an extra tank I needed to attend the 2nd day of the tournament.As far as Im concerned, these guys have my business and I plan on buying a few more items from him as well.Keep up the good work!
