Oh my goodness, here is our backstory and initial experiences in May 2021 until today.My dear bride wanted a Koi Fish Pond in our back yard, our son was home for 10 days from California and agreed to build it with me.I had no idea what I was doing and it all started with my first phone call to “Ted” at the Stone Garden. Tex was very helpful on the phone, answering all my many questions that had nothing yet to do with stone and rock but about the pond and filters and pumps and all the mechanics! He knew a lot and shared with me what he knew, since the very first call, I knew I liked Ted, very professional, pleasant, and a great guy! That weekend my wife and I went to Stone Garden and I got to meet Ted and shake his hand (catchers mit) and my wife and we began the process of looking at all kinds of stone, boulders, flat rocks of all sizes. He showed us there waterfall/invisible pond and I actually got most of my design from analyzing this one. The entire staff at Stone Garden are awesome and very kind and want to help select the right rock and stone for your project. We have had had 4 skids of stone in various sizes and dimensions delivered thus far. Check out this Great Customer Service event….last Friday I was tied up in meetings all day and could not break away to drive to Stone Garden, so I called in and asked Ted to select me another skid (3,740 pounds) of Lincoln Flatrock and asked if I could pay for it over the phone, and BAM..💥💥💥, no exaggeration my skid was delivered within 3 hours!!!! Ted, Matt, Meredith, Caitlyn, Kim….are all Mac Daddy awesome!See my photos of our Koi Fish Pond from Sunday, pretty close to finishing touches. All started with a phone call to Ted!

Amazing and patient staff, so helpful. I came in with big ideas and lots of questions. They listened patiently and then were very helpful in guiding me to the correct products instead of buying what I thought I should and making a big mistake. They also took the time to help me understand how much I needed (Tons vs Yards). Always great to shop local too!

Been here a number of times for stone and the prices are right and the customer service is great. I continue to come here to get bagged round stone, bulk stones and flat stones for different projects. Nothing but impressed. Love this place. A number of pictures of the stone are here as well.

I shorted myself on some paver stones and didn’t realize it until 4:45. Stone garden closed at 5 and I was an hr away. But this job needed to get done since rain was coming the next day. So I called them and the awesome lady’s there at the office agreed to haul my pavers outside in the back area for me to pick up after hrs. That is not their policy nor their job duty. Very impressed with the service they provided! Thanks!

Vista Landscaping did a wonderful job for us! They laid a beautiful flagstone patio and put in 2 small gravel areas in our back yard. Sal took the time to be sure he knew what we wanted and then explained to us how they would go about executing our plans. I highly recommend this company!!

We visited the Stone Garden to plan for the selection of our stone and a fountain for our patio. Emily provided a wealth of information and assistance as we visited the Inspirational Gardens on the property which provided a creative visual to assist with our backyard plans.She also provided a Mason referral at our request to discuss the potential managing of our project.An extra bonus to this unique landscaping center is the Made in the USA accessories they offer including the famous Corinthian Bells Chimes. These chimes are made with the highest quality material including tubes protected in coated metal and strings that last a lifetime. Each chime type is tuned to a musical note scale.My Ruby Splash 30 Chime purchased in 2008 is still in excellent shape (they come in 8 colors and lengths from 27 to over 60) and I purchased a matching chime (same color) to place on a dual place hook I have in my backyard. We were especially pleased to meet Nina, the proprietor, who shared a mutual affection for these chimes.My wife and I highly recommend Stone Garden when searching for a wide selection of natural paving stones and unique landscaping artifacts that will provide many years of enjoyment.

We are grateful for Stone Gardens talented staff who design and build beautiful gardens and can also solve the occasional problems that occur beyond the homeowners ability..The stone fountains on each side of our front entrance recently stopped working. Ted Deller, on the staff discovered the problem, solved it and now the fountains work beautifully again..

I stopped in for the first time today. All the staff was amazing, especially Chad & Matt working outside in the heat. Both were extremely friendly and helpful. It does my heart well to know Veterans work here too. Thank you.

The inspiration Garden is the place to see when looking for ideas for your yard or business lunch area. Its absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel as if you are in an oasis just off Market Street.

I haven’t personally done business with this company; however, I can definitely say that you will be handled with the most extreme care as a customer of theirs! I’m not even a customer of theirs and when I pulled in their lot with a flat tire they treated me like family in the spur of the moment without a second thought or hesitation! Talk about a memory that will last a lifetime! It is my first day in town and at a new job! I wasn’t even late on my first day, and it’s because of the guys at Stone Garden! I’ll be forever grateful!

We called this morning for 12 bags of brick chips for landscaping. We were told that they would be ready for us in a few hours.When we arrived it was raining, they were waiting for us and they had one of the guys load them in the back of our Suburban. These bags were over 80 pounds each and quite heavy. Only 8 would fit, and he suggested that we could come back and get the remaining 4. So, we did and he loaded them also, again in the rain. He would not accept a gratuity, and asked me to write a review. The customer service here is excellent and I recommend that you come here and support this wonderful business.

Just had a flagstone patio installed by Grasshopper Landscaping! Jesus of Grasshopper wanted us to buy materials from Stone Garden! We drove there to look at various stone samples. Ted was an amazing resource and spent quite a bit of time educating uson the stones and other materials needed for the project. Once we placed the order he contacted us to update us on the delivery. Staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Had a life sized stone hedgehog. Was beautiful. I bought it amongst other gifts. The prices are most competitive as i have looked around. Well ordered and grounds are clean and beautiful. A must visit!!!

What a terrific experience. The staff is friendly and professional. The yard is immaculate, the selection superb. Emily did an excellent job, great attitude too.Compared to previous dealings with another yard, the difference was night and day. My husband and I purchased a disappearing fountain at the Stone Garden. Nina Brown was extremely knowledgeable as she answered all of our questions and she gave us some great ideas for how to set up the fountain in our backyard. Ryan and Casey were also extremely helpful, and went the extra mile so we could get the fountain in our car to take home. We simply love our new fountain, and we know that the Stone Garden is the place to go in Wilmington for everything you need to create the garden or backyard of your dreams.

My husband and I went to Stone Garden with an idea in mind. Ted was very diligent in identifying what stones we liked and how to execute our walkway project. He went out of his way to offer his advice on how to turn our idea into fruition! We couldnt be happier; our stone walkway turned out to be the centerpiece of the backyard! We are ready for a new project as we miss seeing Ted every weekend!

Stone Garden is a beautiful place to see. The atmosphere there is relaxing. The employees there are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They were able to explain everything I needed to know about how to dress up my house and landscape with both artificial and natural stone. I could not be happier with the results.

Stopped by yesterday for some stone for edging and they are doing their moving sale before changing to their new location near the Toyota dealership on Market. After kindly helping me to look around for what I needed without success, some blue-grey stone that they had in a design around a stone fire pit were just perfect for what I needed. They dug the stone up for me and gave me a fantastic price! Great customer service and great finds!

We wanted to share our pleasure with our new firepit cap. The cap was cut to specifications and the edges were nicely finished to a natural stone look. We were able to complete the installation without incident, no bruised fingers, toes. or egos. The end result is great and complements the existing stone - like it should always have been this way. We have shopped at Stone Garden for about 5 years. The staff is exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and personable. We have dealt primarily with Ted, but everyone we have encountered has been very helpful. To date, we have built a dry stack wall in the back garden, two garden pathways in the front yard and are just finishing a water feature in the back that incorporates a pond on top, falling into a pondless area at the bottom. The selection of stones, rocks and slabs (various species, colors, sizes and shapes) at Stone Garden is impressive and the staff will assist with finding the right mix for any project. I would highly recommend Stone Garden for any stone-related project you may be considering.

We had a flagstone patio installed at our new home in Leland N.C. with materials bought at Stone Garden. Our sales person, Emily was very helpful in explaining the installation process and estimating the material and cost.We were out of state during the installation by our contractor and were not happy with the work when we returned.My concerns were addressed with Emily and she offered to contact the contractor on my behalf.After the contractor came back 3 times we were finally satisfied, thanks to Emilys intervention. I came to Stone Garden while visiting my son. (Im from Virginia.)..I was so happy to find the exact rocks I needed to PAINT. Their hard to find at home.?The staff was very professional & friendly. I ended up getting 5 lbs of nice flat rocks..thatll keep be busy till thanksgiving...I hope!Oh yea..I left 2 EYEBALLS I painted from Gloucester Rocks-VA #vld

Stone Garden is a unique and exciting place! I discovered it when moving to Wrightsville Beach, NC. I wanted to put in a patio with pavers and found a lot of options displayed in real-life use in a garden-like setting. The staff referred me to an installer who was friendly and knowledgeable. The outcome was perfect! Soon after that I needed a truckload of wood mulch, and Stone Garden was able to schedule delivery right when it was needed. I bring my out-of-town guests there to see the statuary and jewelry. Great place with pleasant and knowledgeable people! (And Border Collies!)A few years later and we added a walkway to match the patio, and of course topped it off with more mulch! Same great service as before. Here is a picture of the latest addition. We purchased a beautiful urn/fountain/base combination from Stone Garden in early spring, 2013. The installation went exceptionally well, but we were not happy with the stain on the urn, as it was not blending well on the exterior surface. We asked that the manufacturer look at the product to determine how this might be fixed.After several weeks of attempts, the rep for the manufacturer could not provide any follow-up. Nina and her crew contacted the manufacturer directly and they immediately sent a replacement urn, with no questions asked.Everyone at Stone Garden is professional, courteous and knowledgable.
