I wish I could leave Coastal Knot Bridal 6 stars! The hospitality and support that I got for my destination wedding was beyond expected. The ladies there were so wonderful when helping me pick out the perfect dress and just about read my mind on everything. We had our wedding at a beautiful location in Jackson Wyoming and the ladies at Coastal Knot helped me not only pick out a dress but also find a place to have my dress altered where I had moved and gave me advice on traveling with my gown. Thank you for my beautiful dress!!

I ended up saying yes to a dress and then had wedding dress regret the next day and the Coastal Knot team at Wilmington helped ease my anxiety and start my search over! I am not a very decisive person and picking a wedding dress was no easy task. I must have tried on 100 dresses.Coastal Knot of Wilmington was amazing! They were so supportive and allowed me to return to the store to try more dresses on...on several different occasions. I even said yes to one dress only to change my mind that night. The team at Coastal Knot was so encouraging and patient as I restarted my wedding dress journey. They made sure to make me feel at ease and confident in my decision. Once I REALLY found the one, it was magical. The team helped make sure it was altered to my liking and cleaned for the big day!I felt like a fairy princess!

I am so happy that I chose Coastal Knot for my wedding dress. I couldnt exactly describe what kind of dress I was looking for, but I knew Id know it when I saw it. And this was the only place where I was multiple options that I knew I would be happy with. They have really fun, more trendy styles that I love.I only needed two fittings, and both were very quick. The dress came out perfectly! It was such a huge help that they let me keep the dress in the store until the day of my wedding - even after I wore it for bridal portraits.The service here is incredible. They sent my dress off to be cleaned after the bridal portraits for free. I also paid to have it cleaned and preserved after the wedding. Its so convenient to be able to do all of the tailoring and cleaning through the store.If I got married again, Id definitely come back to Coastal Knot! ;)

5 stars is just not enough! This is by far the BEST bridal boutique in Wilmington! My mom and I had such an incredible experience with the girls at Coastal Knot. Kathy was so kind and patient with me, she let me try on all different styles of dresses since I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted. All of the ladies that work here are so genuine and caring. They truly made me feel so special! Once I found my dress I had a dilemma with deciding on the color of the underlay, it was all hands on deck and they went above and beyond to help me. Even when I was torn between two dresses, they all used their knowledge and expertise to help guide me in the right direction, which I am beyond grateful for! I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for my wedding dress! Thank you to Kathy, Kirsten, Morgan, Stephanie, and Barbara for all of your help and your kindness during this process! Coastal Knot of Wilmington is AMAZING! The store is absolutely gorgeous, the selection of dresses is amazing, and the customer service is simply unrivaled.My maid of honor came here about a month ago to try on Jenny Yoo bridesmaids’ dresses to figure out styles and help me with selecting the colors for all of bridesmaids. They had so many beautiful dresses and the amount of options they had was unlike any of the other stores we went to (which would only have about 10 total bridesmaids’ dresses for them to try). Coastal Knot literally had almost every color we were looking for – and some I wouldn’t have even imagined and ended up selecting because they were so beautiful. Unfortunately, I live about 6 hours away and was not able to attend, but the ladies helped my MOH by taking numerous photos, videos, and even FaceTiming me the dress options. They even pulled my exact wedding down (which I purchased at a store by me in DC) to take photos next to all of the different bridesmaids colors to help me decide on colors.Kathy was an angel! She literally went above and beyond to help us find my dream bridesmaids dresses. When I say she was so responsive, I mean it…. I’ve never had better customer service. She was a wealth of knowledge and I would not have been able to figure out my complicated combination of colors, styles, and patterns without her and the rest of the Coastal Knot team.If I would have known about this store sooner, I WOULD HAVE LITERALLY DRIVEN 6 HOURS TO GET MY DRESS AT THIS STORE!!! That’s how amazing Kathy and the other ladies were. Don’t hesitate to visit here for all your bridal needs. This would be my first and only salon on the list. I highly recommend Coastal Knot of Wilmington. After having a big mix up with CK before even arriving, Maggie, the manager, did everything she could to make sure my experience was enjoyable and that she corrected all of the issues. After getting past the first hiccup, every other experience with CK (picking up a dress, fitting, etc) was exceptional. Beautiful selection of dresses, it was difficult to pick the one. I also highly recommend the seamstress for alterations, she altered my dress so it felt like it was specifically made for me. We also ordered the bridesmaids dresses from CK, they were perfect for my winter wedding. Thank you for giving me such a beautiful dress and wedding experience Coastal Knot!!

My mom & I had the absolute BEST experience with Stephanie. I had a good feeling about her shop since the second I made the appointment. My mom flew into North Carolina to join me for the special day & Stephanie added the cherry on top! Her & her staff were so personable and knowledgeable. She understood exactly what I was looking for, she gave me all of my options to help me achieve exactly what I wanted. I never once felt like I was taking up too much of her time or that she was in a rush! We were there for 3 hours and couldve stayed there all day! I tried on 3 dresses, and the first dress I tried on was the one!! I didnt want to take it off! I just had an appointment to try on dresses today, and I cannot express in words how thankful I am to the Coastal Knot staff. This is the best dress shopping experience I have had throughout my wedding planning process - and let me just say, it has been STRESSFUL. Im currently going through a tough situation with switching dresses (yikes!) and the ladies there were so encouraging. My consultant Kirsten was so understanding and insightful. She really listened to how I was feeling and helped me to narrow down my search. I would recommend this shop to any bride. Whether or not I choose to go with the dresses Kirsten helped me find today, I will always remember the comfort I felt from the service and hospitality I received at Coastal Knot Bridal.

When I first arrived to Coastal Knot, I had probably tried on 30+ dresses or at least it felt like it. I tried other places in town and also in my hometown and online, but I just couldnt find the right look. I was really starting to worry that Id never find the right dress in time! I told the staff what I was looking for and what I didnt want also, and they immediately found at least five great options - like collectively those five looked way better than say the top five at all other stores combined. I ended up going with one of the first dresses that was suggested! They just really paid attention to what I wanted and I found that throughout the wedding planning process that the best vendors are this way! ;) They were super easy to work with and I didnt have to worry at all as I waited for my dress or when I had the in house alterations. The dress was perfectly altered to fit me, and I was even able to hide my comfy blue sneakers. They also have a great selection of earrings and I ended up trying like 20 looks and picked the perfect pair there. They also have a cleaning service so Im using that to clean up from my rainy, muddy day.Stop trying on dresses at other shops and looking online. This is your dress shop!!

From the minute my daughter and I walked into Coastal Knot Bridal we were impressed. Our consultant, Nicole, was absolutely amazing. She took her time to listen to what we liked and didn’t like and worked with us like a pro. She helped my daughter get into every dress. (I point that out, because other shops did not do that). Wedding gowns are heavy, bulky and hard to get on yourself. As we said no to a dress, another consultant instantly took the dress and hung it up. They worked together so well and it was very impressive. We were there for two hours and never once felt like we were taking too long. My daughter did say YES to a Coastal Knot dress and we couldn’t be happier. Thanks Nicole!!!

I cannot say enough nice things about this shop. This was the first place I went to when looking for my wedding dress. The appointment was easy to book and the store is fantastic. I thought the dressing rooms had plenty of space and I liked that each mirror and pedestal outside the dressing rooms was sectioned off for a little privacy. The best part about the experience was my bridal consultant, Kirsten. She was amazing despite me not having much of a preference when it came to what type of dresses to try on. She let me browse the racks on my own for a bit while she went to find a few dresses she thought I would like. I never felt like she was just saying nice things or continuously agreeing with me about each dress in order to get me to buy something. She gave honest opinions and seemed genuinely invested in helping me find a dress I would love. My mom got a picture of me in the dress I plan on buying with her in the background and I can only hope my future husband looks that happy when he sees my in that dress. I would highly recommend this shop and Kirsten to anyone looking for wedding dresses in the Wilmington area, especially if this is your first time trying them on.

EXCELLENT shop! Hands down the BEST bridal shop in Wilmington! Went to several shops to try and find my sisters wedding dress and the wonderful ladies at The Wedding Dress Shoppe went above and beyond to make the experience a memorable and delightful one. The shop is immaculately clean, laid out well so that you dont miss any dresses and just overall top notch! After walking into several other shops around town this shop was like a breath of fresh air and just what my sister needed! It is no surprise that we found her dress here and we are incredibly grateful for Lizzy and Debbies help throughout this big decision! My daughters wedding was on 9/17/16. Her dress needed to be steamed within hours of her wedding. We called The wedding dress shoppe. They were outside as I pulled up waiting for the dress!!! They took the dress which had many layers and steamed it layer by layer. After many alterations from the store that the dress was initially purchased from and after many alterations from a well known wedding store in Charlotte, the dress was still UNEVEN and poorly altered. The wedding dress shoppe not only steamed the dress but repaired the dress as best as they could!!!!! They were lifesavers! All with no charge! They made a terrible experience into a good one. They were very professional and knowledgeable. If we could rewind time, we would have purchased a dress from here! It would have been a pleasurable, professional experience! Stephanie and the other ladies at the WDS did a great job helping me (and my mom) find our dream dress and were such a pleasure to work with along the way! My very small and short daughter was looking for a gown for a pageant and they found a dress in her size! The ladies were so kind and helpful and worked very hard with our budget. They also had previous pageant experience and took time to advise her on many aspects of the upcoming event. At no time were we made to feel under pressure to make an decision or pushed in a direction that wasnt right for her.

It was amazing! Everyone there was very knowledgeable at what I was trying to explain to them what I was looking for. She made me feel very comfortable and beautiful as she was helping me try on dresses. I found my dress at my first appointment just in time for lunch! Haha! And they have really convenient alteration hours since I am an out of town bride. If you are looking for a movie like experience then I highly recommend them. Since I was so close to the mall, I went into the Davids Bridal it was insanely crowded. My family nor I would not have gotten the attention that I received at The Wedding Dress Shoppe. The Wedding Dress Shoppe was the store where we entered just to check on with prices and collection. Oh my! the dresses were so beautiful and the ladies were so helping. The ladies were so genuine and wonderful in helping me. I never felt like they were just trying to get my money, but they really cared about me getting a dress that I loved that also flattered me. I ended up trying on dresses a little past 6pm, their closing time, and they were completely alright with it. Also, there selection is phenomenal!

My sister was visiting from Delaware and we decided to pop into a few wedding shops without appointments b/c our plans fell through. My sister wedding was in the Fall so we were not in a huge rush but we were pretty disappointed with the local shop and headed out to Wilmington to Davids Bridal who basically kicked us out and were very rude to us because we did not have an appointment so we goggled dress shops and found The wedding Dress Shoppe. It was just a few minutes away and so much better in every way. They squeezed us in (they were very busy) we were not rushed and our sales girl was genuine and helpful. We were offered beverages and the lay out and size of the store made it very easy to find what we were looking for. My sister found the perfect dress everyone loved it even the other brides shopping commented on how great she looked. We couldnt be more pleased with our experience

I am getting remarried and having my teenaged girls involved was important to me. I called to initially to book the appointment but had to call to reschedule due to one of my girls work/school schedule conflicting with the original date. The women at Coastal Knot were so nice they worked with me to choose a different date/time. At the appointment the shop is beautiful, not overly done but still extremely classy. We felt right at home and welcome. Kirsten and the team had taken the time to peruse my Pinterest board and based on the dresses I pinned, knew my taste. They did a PHENOMENAL job and stayed well within the budget I have them. Kirsten and the rest of the women at Coastal Knot are really one of a kind. Their ability to see past a few dresses on a pinterest board and pick the perfect dresses us amazing. Im still over the moon about my dress and cant wait for my future husband to see it! Thank you Coastal Knot you really made this an easy and fun experience that my family will always remember.

If I could give this place a 10/5, I would! I came here with my mom and sister the week after getting engaged to try on dresses for fun but had my heart set on having the Kleinfeld experience and trying on dresses in NY. After a terrible experience at Kleinfeld, I came back to The Wedding Dress Shoppe and worked with Stephanie, the owner, who helped me find my dream dress! She was extremely patient, kind, knowledgeable, and I genuinely felt like she cared about how I felt and looked on my big day! I cannot thank her enough. After purchasing my dress, I worked mainly with Roberta and the alterations team. For some, I this can be the most nightmare-ish part of the wedding dress process (Ive heard so many horror stories!). However, even when there was a manufacturing defect in the dress that caused issues with the bustle, Roberta and the team went above and beyond and spent HOURS and came up with creative solutions to make sure that everything was perfect. You would have never known there was an issue. My wedding was out of town and Roberta came to the store early before opening to give my mom the dress on her way out of town! Truly amazing customer service and a wonderful experience that took the stress out of finding and wearing the perfect dress.

My wife and daughter visited this place on their first trip out to buy a wedding dress. The owner Stephanie met them at the door. The rest was out of the movie “Pretty Woman!” Big mistake ! Treating people like they have no money and just being a ass will ruin your business as we hope this post does ! For your information, they found a dress and it was way over the 1,500$ you so snobilly mentioned as your minimum as you look down your nose at my loved ones . Shame on you !Big mistake ! Beware others out there !Wake up call Stephanie !5/29/18 so now you still cant apologize for being rude and unprofessional !I see others dont like your act either !Chapter 7 soon :)

I honestly cannot give even 1 star to this shop. The site requires me to choose 1 star, but they do not deserve that. they deserve 0 or negative stars. The only positive experience was the original purchase, once the money was given and the dress ordered, it was a nightmare. They insisted on ordering a size 10 dress for my daughter who is 52 and weighs 105 Lbs. Crazy. We had to sign a form to have a size 8 ordered. We advised the dress was going still going to be way to large, which when it came it, it was!! The seamstress had to take out 4 inches in the bodice, and the charge to us was nearly $600. Completely unnecessary if they had ordered the correct size. The nightmare continued with the hem. The seamstress also tore a hole completely through all layers of the lace and tried to deny it. No denying a hole. The nightmare continue with the hem. When I came to pick up the dress, they had cut off 5 off the bottom of the bottom layer, leaving barely enough to hem, and had replaced the top lace layer of the skirt, leaving it 6-8 longer than it had been previously, Again, they denied everything, I suppose the lace just grew in length on its own. Completely dishonest and disgraceful and they do not stand behind their work. I would never recommend this shop.

Please DO NOT order from this shop!! I ordered a dress from the Coastal Knot in Wilmington NC for my sons wedding. The sales person that I had that day was actually a manager of the shop. I found what I thought was the perfect dress and was assisted with taking my measurements for placing an order my this same lady. I am well aware that I do not have the ideal body shape for this or any other gown, therefore I put faith in the sales person for guidance.. Big mistake! Upon completion of the measurements my daughters both questioned the size we were told needed to be ordered. My daughters and I were assured with the help of some alterations that would be the correct size and the dress would be fine! The gown arrived and swallowed me from top to bottom. The only thing correct was the length, nowhere else. The arm holes could have been big enough for both my arms, the neck hung down near my bust, the back gapped open and the body of the dress looked like it would wrap around me twice!I called the Coastal Knot and explained that the dress was entirely to big. I asked if the dress could be returned for a smaller size or even exchange for another dress. The employee said no that the store did not exchange or refund that they had measured me for the size I needed. Maybe this dress was just not made to fit my shape and Im fi ne with that but do not measure me at your shop and act as though a dress can be made to work!I took the dress to the most reputable and most recommended Taylor in my county and his first remark was had the dress shop ever even seen me?! The dress was that big!!! The Taylor tried for a month to make this dress work for me by having to basically take the entire dress apart. This gown in the measurements you insisted I needed was undoable. The best there is could not get this size 20w down to a size almost 14 and make it look right for the wedding. The really, bad thing is that she was going to order me a size 22w!I am aware that the dress was not overly expensive when it comes to gowns but, between the dress, the shipping and the alterations I am out roughly $400.00.The Coastal Knot just about put me in a bind but bless your heart JcPENNY did in an hour what you couldnt and wouldnt do in two and a half months. I can assure you that no only did you lose me as a customer but everyone I know as well! Coastal Knot you should be ashamed to not stand behind your products but also your measurements! After many visits to many stores, I found my dress here. After so many shopping trips, I became an expert on bridal stores. This one was probably the nicest and best laid out I have seen. It is large, the selection is organized, and they even have TVs in the mirrored alcoves so you can Skype in a relative who cannot be present! Very cool idea. I thought they had a good variety and the woman who helped me try on my dress was very sweet, helpful, and professional. The alteration in the store was good and did a good job of making some pretty major alterations. The only drawback was that a couple of spots seems unfinished and actually popped out on my wedding day. Nothing major so it was not a huge deal. I just felt some of the stitching was not solid.My only bad note for this shop was an experience I had when I went for my first fitting, I have a rather unusual body shape and the alterations that were needed because of that and the style of the dress were fairly substantial. Though my experience during the fitting was fine, it was the experience when I got out and went to check out that was not. I am not sure who the woman was (I wish I remembered names better!) that was checking me out but she needs some serious lessons in customer service. It is such a shame since everyone else there was always very patient and polite. This woman (a blonde, older) was extremely curt and made sure to convey to me that I was running over my time and needed to hurry up. Since the length of the alterations is completely out of my control and completely not something I could plan for, I dont see how this was my problem. Perhaps they need to schedule for longer slots (mine was not crazy long, maybe 45 minutes?) Either way, my experience with this woman really left a bad taste in my mouth about the whole experience, which is one that really should be positive. Everyone can have a bad day and I hope that is the case here.All in all, the women at the shop, plus the shop itself and its selection, make this an excellent place to shop for a wedding dress. It was a two hour drive for me but totally worth it and much better than anything I found in Raleigh. Overall, I would highly recommend it.
