I took my car in there to have the front struts put on because the front end was squeaking and they told me that I needed new front struts and that the squeaking would go away well $700 later. Come to find out that the struts that they placed in my car the spacer was the wrong size and thats the reason why my car was making such noise. So I took the car back because the owner called me and told me that he was going to give me my money back or make the car noise free. So he replaced the struts and the spacer and gave me ball joints and they suspension arm. He charged me nothing. John is a good man. And he serves the Lord well. I highly recommend this place to anyone that has a Honda or Acura or any other kind of vehicle they know their stuff. And the staff is very friendly. They will answer any of your questions. I believe that John lives by the Scripture of Luke 6:31, and Colossians 3:23.AND IF ITS THE LORDS WILL SO BE IT

I needed a rear main seal replaced on my 04 MDX. They analyzed to make sure it was necessary, then scheduled me for the job. Its a big one that requires disassembly of the transmission. Soon after I got the car back I got a D5 light, which was due to a faulty 4th gear pressure switch, which they immediately replaced at no charge. Also took care of replacing the hood latch cable. Its clearly a well run shop, always busy, and I can see why. The 4.9 rating says it all. Never thought I would find the equivalent of my New York mechanic, but I did. A customer for life.

Excellent service shop. Dropped off a 2007 Honda Accord for an oil change, balance and rotate tires, brake work on both axles, brake fluid flush, transmission flush, and the annual inspection. All were done within a day and within the initial estimate they gave me. They also plugged one of the tires for free.

Took my Toyota Land Cruiser to these fine folks after a debacle at the dealership. They re- fixed the dealership work and had me ready to go for a very reasonable price. Ive put a couple thousand miles on since their repair with absolutely no problems. This was a couple hundred dollar repair that was misdiagnosed before and the other place wanted several thousand to repair something that wasnt in need of repair. Needless to say, JS and J is my new go to shop for everything. Friendly, trustworthy and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Always a pleasure coming here. Been a customer over 10 years. Consistently honest. We have take our van several times and they will tell us when nothing is needed. Checked our van out for a trip across country and rather than inventing issues they said all we needed was new tires in the front. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable.

My tire got plugged and oil changed within 30 mins. The staff are kind and friendly, the waiting lobby has comfy chairs, and air conditioning.I will be going back next time.

Terrible workmanship

Have been going to JS&J for approximately 16 years, now doing the work on my 3rd car. They are happy to provide a quote for the work if needed. I respect and trust Jon Stone completely and he has a great staff. Also kudos to Seth!

Fixed my car quick with a good price.. Walmart Auto center on signing Rd busted my ignition switch so I went here and if I had the money right then and there my car wouldve been back on the road in a couple hours vs next day. Im class A mechanic(15yrs) couldve done it myself but they saved me time,stress, and money. Would cost you 700 bucks at the dealer, paid less than half WITH a new key. Good job

My Car had been sitting since nov because previous place Id been couldnt fix the issue and who I now believe caused the issue in the 1st place. My cousin talked me into getting a 2nd look at my car because I refused to put more money into it. Js and j, resolved my issue and didnt cost me an arm and leg! Very professional and courteous!

Took my 05 Honda Pilot in for a wheel bearing replacement, gave me a quote that was spot on plus tax, told me some other issues that needed to be addressed without pressuring me to fix them or flat out saying they needed to be replaced immediately. The most honest shop I’ve ever been too. Great quality work and fast.Don’t go anywhere else.

This is an edited review. It is edited because John, the owner, called me to apologize. I brought my car here awhile ago to check on a squeaking noise. John, the owner called me to tell me about my car said they couldnt find anything or hear anything regarding the noise my car was making. They did do one small repair; changed my differential fluid and told me of one other problem and gave me a few options to take care of it. John was extremely friendly and helpful. Later on the noise my car was making got worse so I called to see if I could get it looked at again. The man who answered the phone, his name was Joe, was extremely rude to me and condescending. He told me the noise was related to the minor problem the John explained to me, but that is not the cause of the noise according to the person I talked to the first time I brought my car there. John saw my first review and called me to apologize and let me know that he fired Joe and was very nice and concerned about what happened. John truly cares about his customers and his business. He is very honest and I would trust him to do any repair on my car and give me a fair price as well.

I broke down while I was traveling and ended up here. Several people stopped while I was on the side of the road and told me to get towed there. I was in town for a wedding. Not only did they take me right away, but got the car back in 3 hours. Had to replace the alternator. Well 11 months later on another trip in the middle of nowhere, my alternator failed. I paid to replace it again. Not only did they cover the cost of the part,when I sent it to them. They also gave me my shipping and labor back. Truly a business that has values. I wish I lived there so they could be my service center. Thank you!!! You have restored my faith in repair shops.

Best shop in Wilmington for any repairs you need. Ive had 2 cars since finding JS&J, both of which have needed water pumps and timing belts. They do great work, theyre trustworthy, and they dont price-gouge.

Took my car to the Toyota dealer (across the street) to get an inspection. They told me my vehicle needed $350 worth of work to replace a leaking power steering hose in order to pass. I took it to JS&J and they cleaned up the hoses, reattached the reservoir and found no leaks present after that. THEY DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME! I couldnt believe it. Went back to Toyota (because I had to to finish the inspection) and it passed! Glad I didnt waste $350 for nothing! Would highly recommend their honest and quality service and they will have my business for life!

These guys are always awesome theyre honest and they wont rip you off. Quite the opposite they actually did extra work on my 06 TL which they didnt have to do and Incorporated it into the price and worked with my annoying repair Insurance Company as well. This is why I keep going back to these guys and will for as long as I have an Acura. On July 25th 2018 I took my Acura in because it wouldnt start at one point they checked it to see what the issue was but could not recreate the problem and didnt charge me anything once again this is a place that I would take my car any day of the week over any other place and even if they did have a week booked up before me I would still leave it here instead of getting ripped off somewhere else. This is the best shop in town no doubt!

Honest people, if they find a problem they cant fix they dont even charge you. Taken my car there a couple times and twice they did not charge me because they could not fix it, even though they were able to diagnose it and spent a good amount of time on it. Great guys.

Ive been around mechanics all my life and have heard stories of how they treat people and their vehicles. THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT, IN A GREAT WAY!!! Ive heard several comments on how great these guys are, so I thought I would give them a shot at a brake/rotor job and A/C service. OUTSTANDING. They never once tried to take advantage of me, instead, they told me that my brakes still had some life in them and I could put the repair off a little longer. They did catch a unknown problem with my car, but didnt pressure me to fix it immediately, AND offered to show me where to check my clutch fluid level! This shop has won my business. HONEST MECHANICS ARE EXTREMELY RARE, THESE GUYS ARE TRUE GEMS!

I had a horrible experience with Auto Tech who misdiagnosed my car causing it to over heat which resulted in my head gaskets blowing. Ive been working on my own cars since I was 16 and its hard for me to find mechanics who I trust more than me. This is one of those shops I truly trust. This shop does great work, charges fair prices, and they only repair what is needed. If you have a Honda, which we have had several, you should take your vehicles here for any repairs. Plus if you ask nice, thell even repair your Lexus/Toyota.

Yesterday I had my car serviced by JS&J Auto on Market St. They are so wonderful! They had to replace my battery among other things. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had reset my clock, not just to the correct time, but a few minutes fast just like I like it. Plus, they entered the code for my radio so it was working when I picked it up. Its little things like this that make a difference. JS&J is also very fair in their pricing and has very high quality mechanics that will not recommend anything that truly doesnt need to be done. I only use them for the service on my Acura.

I love this place and will not take my car anywhere else. I had been taking my car to the dealership for its regular maintenance but after always getting bad customer service there and spending a lot of money with them, I found JS&J, which was a much better experience. They have great customer service and they are honest people. The prices are great and the turn around time is awesome as well. I will never take my car back to the dealership again and will continue to take my car to JS&J.

I was pleased with prior work on my cars but when I took my sons car there and told them the ball joints needed to be replaced I was told by their mechanic that they did not have enough play and did not need to be replaced; so they just lubricated the joints. Not even two months later my sons entire tire came off of his car while he was driving with him and his brother in the car. This could have been deadly! After going to another shop we found out that the left ball joint had popped out of place; they should have been fixed when I asked. Will not be going back.

This is the only place I will take my car they are fair with their pricing have excellent mechanics and they never overcharge you. And I also love that the owner is a family man and he loves Jesus.

I have an old isuzu and Acura. They have done service on them for 4 years. They are the third and last shop I will visit. A real keeper, honest, fair, reasonable and customer friendly. Even the mechanics are thoughtful. If your looking for a new mechanic give them a try. In fact, I will only buy Honda products because of JS&J.

We recently moved to Wilmington, NC. And was looking for a honest mechanic with good prices which are one of the hardest to find in life.I needed to fix my Civic AC.After asking around and checking on the internet I found J S and J.They are very nice, knowleadgeable and patient to answer all your questions.Seth, my service advisor diagnose the problem that was the AC compressor replacement, he didnt charge me for the diagnosis and didnt push me to fix it right away, instead gave me a good estimate and I decided to go ahead with the repair and now my car has a nice and cold AC again.I am glad I found them and will comeback and recommend them to family and friends.If you have a Honda or Acura this is the place to go with better pricing, customer service and honesty than dealers and most mechanic shops.

I took my 05 Sequoia to 3 local shops to diagnose a roaring sound that seemed to be coming from the front. One shop, Dukes Tire Service determined that it was the outer wheel bearing on the drivers rear. After paying them $400 the noise was still there. They refused to reimburse me my money...stay away from Dukes! Then I took it to Toyota of Wilmington. They said it was the front drivers outer wheel bearing. Cost to repair almost $900 AND they charged me a $85 diagnosis fee.. Uuuuh no thanks! Shop number 3 said the truck was out of alignment...WRONG AGAIN!!!I decided to give JS&J a try. They diagnosed the noise as the INNER wheel bearing on the drivers rear. I was told that they didnt do that kind of work, but referred me to a shop that did... Greenfield Alignment. They didnt charge me anything for the diagnosis! I took it to Greenfield Alignment and BINGO the noise is gone! JS&J found the problem and a new customer!!!! Shout out to Greenfield Alignment too!!!Also, I tried to have some other services done but the shop manager was like you dont need to do that sir thats just wasting money. Honesty and know how...thats JS&J!!!!
