When I first came to them about six months ago, my car battery kept inexplicably (to me) dying. I had just walked in without an appointment, and they couldn’t fix the car that day.I thought I was “safe” to start the car again without a jump because I had gotten it jumped that morning and then driven for a while before stopping at Coastal Rebuilders to see if they could help. Of course, it didn’t start. I panicked, looking around to see if the owners of the cars parked next to me could jump me.Coastal Rebuilders saw that I couldn’t start the car and came out and helped me, despite their busy schedule. Not only did they jump it so I could get home, but they took the time to examine it and see if their was something they could do quickly to solve the problem. Unfortunately I needed a new battery, so they couldn’t fix it right there but the fact that they tried was really impressive. That is customer service that goes above and beyond. AND they didn’t charge me a thing for doing all of that.Since then they have done a couple things on my car (brake work, replacing a messed up serpentine belt, inspection, and oil changes) and every experience has been great. They work quickly and they are honest.

Let just preface this review by saying, Ive only been here once and I only give five stars if a place goes beyond excellence for the customer. The service was friendly, efficient and fairly priced. Unfortunately for customers, but fortunately for Coastal Rebuilders these three adjectives make them an exception. They took my vehicle when they said they would and had it ready when they said they would and everything was fixed as to be expected. Just a good barebones shop. Will use them again!!

This place was great. I had a 2004 Ford F-150 with electrical problems. Two other mechanics and the Ford dealership’s service department in town passed the buck and couldn’t figure out my vehicles problem. The guys are Coastal Rebuilders were able to fix the problem and in a timely manner.

What a great guy to deal with. I was in a difficult situation and needed someone to help me without taking advantage of me. Really impressed by Coastal Rebuilders and appreciated Bill’s excellent communication and professionalism. My truck battery, which was brand new, was being drained when not in use, and I kept having to get jumped. Dealership ran tests on battery, alternator... and could not find the issue. Coastal found the needle in the haystack and resolved the issue. Issue was a stuck front seat lumbar switch, which was drawing down the battery, that had been broken by another company that had removed and reinstalled the front seat to repair a rip in the leather. I hope to use Coastal for other services for my vehicles and will recommend to friends.

I highly recommend Coastal Rebuilders, Inc. Theyve repaired 3 or 4 alternators for us. Theyve all worked perfectly. So much better and cheaper than remanufactured garbage bought at auto part stores. Keep your OEM alternator and let them repair it. Plus, their prices are fair and with a fast turn around.

They also went the extra mile and properly adjusted my shifter when I had not even asked them to. They got my vehicle right! They have all my business and I suggest you use them too! Bill and Coastal rebuilders have great customer service and work hard to not only make quality repairs, but also save money with creative solutions. My jeep commander had a chewed up vacuum line. the dealership wanted tons of money for the part. Coastal Rebuilders were able to fabricate a new part from my old one and a salvaged part and save me hundreds of dollars. They also repaired my computer to fix the cruise control. I have since given them all my business and appreciate their service, thrift, and quality work.

Coastal Rebuilders came recommended to me by a friend who said they solved a problem they had with one of their vehicles for a long time when no one else seemed able to, so I tried them out. Its been years since that first visit and they have continued to service our cars. Not only is their work excellent, but it is reasonably priced, their turn around time is very fast, and they are always pleasant and professional with my questions and offering solutions to our aging cars problems. They have done major work on our vehicles, including most recently saving me tons of money by replacing an O2 Sensor when the check engine code called for replacing the Cat Conv. and the problem was solved. Love those guys and highly recommend them!

Coastal has been my go-to place for auto electric issues for many years, after having been referred there by another local shop which was unable to sort out an intermittent and nagging problem, which Coastal quickly diagnosed and cured. I have been puttering about with cars for pushing 50 years, and have had the opportunity to utilize a panoply of mechanics and technicians ranging from shade tree mechanics to Zuffenhausen trained Porsche personnel (something akin to a PhD for wrench turners), and would place the folks at Coastal Rebuilders at the top of the heap. They have often exceeded my expectations, their efforts going above and beyond what one expects from the average shop. I cannot ever recall leaving there feeling anything other than the satisfaction which accompanies a good job at a fair price.Their expertise extends to general automotive and air conditioning repairs, as well. Coastal has earned my highest recommendation, a thing not lightly given. Give them a try- you will be glad you did!

Absolutely the best experience!!! I bought my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Neuwirth Motors here in town in Memorial Day weekend of last year (2018). The day after I bought it I heard a loud “buzzing” noise and Neuwirth offered no sort of solution (I’m trying to stay away from discussing how bad they are but it goes to why Coastal Rebuilders is SO great) After much pleading Neuwirth finally agreed to “fix” the issue (which was the cowl needed to be replaced) free of charge. Come to find out they just glued and taped it all sorts of WRONG! They didn’t tell me they rigged it in the worst possible fashion. Almost an entire year later I finally brought it to Coastal Rebuilders and Bill took the time to look at it WITH me and explain to me what Neuwirth had done and how it could potentially lead to other issues down the road. He quickly found me the cheapest factory part that he could (really looking after the customer 😉) and got my car in as soon as possible. The replacement took about 45 min (including an inspection that Bill pointed out I needed because my life is chaos and I definitely had forgotten). Bill and the team at Coastal Rebuilders really took care of me and fixed other mechanics handy work at the same time. I really cant recommend this place enough. I personally love being able to have peace of mind and trust in my mechanic when my car needs work done. I really appreciate Bill’s integrity. Thank you so much Bill and anybody on the Coastal Rebuilders team who took part in caring for my baby!
