I took my bike in for a rear tire, and an electrical issue with my headlight so that I could pass inspection. After replacing my tire they apparently bent my brake bar at a 45 degree angle under a frame bolt. Then no one noticed that after sitting in the shop for 4 days. Then they replaced my kill switch and somehow broke a wire on my clutch lever. They failed my inspection for a plate light and offered to install one for $200. (2 hours labor???) Apparently while looking at the wires to install the plate light they pulled a wire out of the harness disconnecting my brake light switch. Not only did they try to rip me off for a plate light, but they negligently broke three things that would have been noticed had they simply bothered to test it before I was told I could pick it up. I called and spoke to Randy the service manager and he immediately got defensive and said that it was his best mechanic that did the work. If thats your best guy I would certainly hate to see what any of the other ones could destroy! Randy did offer to pick up the bike and correct the issues but I did not want anyone at the shop ever touching my bike again. I told him I was fine with paying for the parts but I wanted a refund on my labor. He said he would have the bike repaired correctly at the shop again but could not give me a refund on the labor where I paid somebody $95 an hour to break my bike. Then I had to spend two or three hours of my own time diagnosing and repairing what they broke and subsequently failed to notice before letting me pay the bill and drive the bike away. I asked Randy to have the owner or GM call me to resolve this issue. It has been nearly a week and I have not heard anything from anyone. Hopefully I can find a reliable shop in town, but I think I am just going to go back to knowing that if you really want something done right, you might as well do it yourself. Im a repair technician in a different industry and have been in the service industry for over 20 years. When I hand somebody a bill I make sure that I have tested everything, and when I do make a mistake I make it right and I certainly would never bill somebody if I happened to break their equipment. I should have taken the other reviews a little more seriously on this place. ***Update - just spoke with the owner Mr Glenn and he was even more rude and obtuse and defensive as his service manager. He accused me of trying to get something for free even though I had pictures and when I said I wouldnt bring my bike back to them considering I had already repaired the issues they caused he stated Well I guess we are done now. We certainly are done, Mr. Glenn, you will be hearing from my lawyer. I bill out a lot more than your labor rate and I am not hurting for money and I certainly am more than happy to pay someone for good work. But you couldnt just do the honorable thing, admit you were wrong, apologize, and make this right with a customer. You sir, certainly should not be in the service industry. You might want to consider a career in government or possibly the DMV because it suits your personality a lot better.

I have not purchased a bike there but have used the service department for state inspections and tire repairs. They have been prompt and charge fair prices for the work. I just want to let everyone know that Honda Suzuki of Wilmington is a joke. And the only reason they get one star is because it’s the only way to leave a review. I brought my bike in for a new starter and oil blow off hose. Instead they took it upon themselves to tear my bike down and find problems that I didn’t ask them to fix. And when I got home I rode it for 5 minuets and it was leaking again. It took me 30 minutes to fix myself and they charged me $218. FOR NOTHING. And when I went there to talk to the owner, he instantly got Offensive an said he wasn’t going to get my money back to me because they β€œfixed” it. Then the owner had me talk to the mechanic which was nice but still wouldn’t listen to what I had to say. The work orders clearly show what I wanted done. And that’s not what they did. I usually work on my own stuff but it being the holidays I needed it fixed but didn’t have time to do it myself. They originally wanted to charge me $800 an when I said no. They just put the bike back together and still charged me $218. So long story short I wouldn’t rely on HONDA SUZUKI of WILMINGTON!!!!!

Tried to tell me I didnt need to replate a cylinder because the Nikasile was mixed in with the sleeve or some cramp. No wonder the place is always empty. So, my boyfriend and I had brought his Honda four wheeler to this shop and specifically asked for a hose to be changed due to and oil leak and the starter to be fixed. This place proceeds to rip his entire bike apart and tells him that he is wrong it’s not the starter it’s the starter clutch and the hose was completely fine it was the valve cover gasket that was causing the oil leak. He didn’t want the bike to be completely ripped apart and he was going to fix it himself. They then proceeded to tell us that it was going to be 160 dollars then for diagnosing the problem and we can come get his bike, that was torn down, as it was. He said to go ahead and at least fix the oil leak and we would pick it up when it’s done. After ten minutes of riding it after it was β€œfix” oil was still pouring out of it from the hose that he had initially said was the problem because the hose was completely dry rotted. It took us 30 mins to fix it ourselves and the oil leak was fixed and hasn’t leaked since. We proceeded to go to this establishment to attempt to get his money back and the manager/owner, not sure which one because he never introduced himself, started to give us the most disrespectful attitude and wouldn’t let us speak. He said that we aren’t getting money back because work was done to the bike, however it wasn’t the work that we wanted done because the problem of the oil leak was still happening so the problem wasn’t fixed. The manager then proceeded to direct us to the mechanic to handle the issue and brought out our work order that made no sense and never stated what we wanted. When speaking with the mechanic he said that the gasket was the problem and that hose was because we had put too much oil in it and it was pumping out the oil and he had told us that when we picked the bike up. The mechanic had never said that, in fact he said that he didn’t even know if there was oil in the bike. After 30 mins of going around in circles because they weren’t understanding what we were saying and kept cutting us off mid sentence because they didn’t want to admit that they were wrong didn’t fix what the problem was we had left once the manager had said this is a ten year old bike and you need to make sure you have the funds to be able to fix what’s wrong with it and we tear bikes down to find what the issues are. If the bike was torn down to inspect it why did they not find the hose was completely dry rotted and needed to be changed. Money wasn’t the issue, the issue was we specifically wanted an oil leak fixed and got told we were wrong it wasn’t the hose it was the gasket. The hose was the issue and now we are out 300 bucks for a problem we trusted them to fix and we ended up fixing it ourselves.

I was preapproved for around $15000. The bike I wanted was 8 grand. I’m assuming that they guy I talked to was the owner, he had no interest in selling me a motorcycle, actually told me it would be Monday before I could buy one. Once he saw my pre-approval letter from Honda he tried to sell me a $15,000 motorcycle, I told him what I wanted and I bought it.Well now it needs a service, so I tried to set one up, you know oil change, check fluids, normal stuff. I called and tried to make an appointment, the service guy told me it would take about two hours, I asked him when I could make the appointment, and he said β€œbring it up here and leave it with me a couple days”.Ok, so for a two hour oil change I need to leave it a couple days??? Yeah, I’m done. Won’t be back, going to find a motorcycle shop and refer them to everyone. I, myself work in customer service and know how important reviews and word of mouth are to a company. I’ll be sending this review to Honda as well. My only hope is that hopefully someone will open another Honda shop here in Wilmington. Worst customer service ever.
