Very smooth experience with sale of new dishwasher. Of course, because of Covid-19 there is a very long wait for most brands. The main reason for the review was to relate to everyone our fantastic experience with Dennis, the installer. He was very professional, pleasant to talk to and fantastic demeanor. He cleaned up the work area completely and had a great attitude. He has been doing this for a long time and REALLY knows his stuff. I would highly recommend getting your appliances here just to have Dennis do the install. Thank you Dennis.

We recently built a new home. Our builder suggested we order appliances early and we did from Wayne Jones. Wayne had every appliance at our new home when it was time for installation. More recently I called Wayne to talk about a Wilmington Grill. He had one delivered and set up on my porch within 24 hours. Wayne has made this entire build so easy. He is your person for personal attention and service.

We have had 2 great experiences with Atlantic Appliance. We purchased a refrigerator last year and just purchased a washer & dryer. The people are so friendly and helpful. So my wife and i went to Atlantic Appliance on 8/14/21. We had a budget of $5,000 for a new fridge and dishwasher. We normally shop Lowes or Sears (back in the day) for appliances. We have been making a real effort to keep all purchases local since Covid kicked in so we thought we would give them a try.We walked and there were three employees seated behind the centrally located counter in the showroom, none of whom acknowledged or greeted us upon entry. As we were looking around I noticed they were involved in a debate about local American Legion baseball. in an attempt to get some service i asked my wife several questions that a salesperson would know in very close proximity to them. I made sure my volume was such that they could not help but here me. Nothing. We left after about 15 minutes in the store. Not a single word was ever spoken to us.About an hour later we left Lowes after having a wonderful experience with the salesperson there and they were happy to take $4,700 from us. They (Lowes) will obviously get our business in the future.Being totally ignored by a sales staff in my opinion is as bad as it gets and makes my blood boil. i guess they just didnt need my money that day. Will never return.

After an unsuccessful situation with another company I was in a time crunch to get a necessary appliance for a vacation property. Richard managed to make arrangements within 2 days. The installers were cordial and efficient. From now on Ill go to Atlantic first.

If no stars was available I’d pick that. The sales person didn’t listen to us at all, kept on pushing his own thinking even though I knew he was wrong! I went in specifically said we want a BlueStar cooktop and a Wolf double oven he kept on saying how do you want your setup cook top and oven or range. Then I asked what options does subzero have for fridge freezer in column and he said we have no options when on the wolf-subzero web sight show many options we just wanted them explain.Oh and as we walked in he ask what builder are we working with, was that to know how much to screw us on price?

(See my update below)This used to be a helpful place to buy appliances, I stopped by to talk about some new appliances but it seemed that the sale staff was more interested in looking at their computers than getting out of their chairs to make a sale.The best salesperson there was a woman who I think has retired, she was so awesome. Just shocked by the non nonchalant attitude of the person I spoke with. I actually had to go to the middle part of the store to ask for a sales person. No body else was in the store and it was about 10 am on a Monday. Went to Home Depot and Lowes and found what we needed.Was hoping to shop with the local vendor but they did not seem to interested.They must be very busy with bigger order from builders is my guess. Oh well what are you gonna do? Update: July 29,2020, the owner called me to apologize for the lack of urgency exhibited by the sales team. He said that because of the covid virus that appliances are in short supply and high demand which is causing the staff to spend more time on the phone to track orders etc. He did appreciate my feedback and pledged to make changes so that customers would be greeted promptly and to improve the level of service.

Richard made buying a replacement dishwasher 7 days before Thanksgiving painless. They had a suitable unit at a competitive price to big box stores. Bought on Wednesday. Delivered and installed on Thursday. Buy local!!

Wonderful Appliances matched with a wonderful, friendly knowledgeable staff. Were in the Beach Vacation Rental business. Over the Fourth of July, one of our primary washers wore out, Atlantic Appliance had just what we need. Got me loaded up, and out the door in record time. Next, these folks have the highest quality of door hardware products I know of.

Some appliances came through the builder and some we bought ourselves. Our salesperson, Jackie, was awesome; pleasant, responsive, knows her products. I was present for the fridge and w/d delivery and that went beautifully as well; the men were neat, careful, pleasant and quick, and tested everything before leaving. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I were looking for a new refrigerator and originally went to Lowe’s. Needless to say we walked out extremely frustrated and overwhelmed. The next morning I called Atlantic Appliance and not only were their prices way better, but the service was exceptional. We worked with Carl to come up with a list of what we were looking for, and he found one comfortably in our price range that checked off all of our boxes! We did a lot of research beforehand, but if there’s anything I’ve learned from this - it’s that you really need to talk to an expert before you buy. Carl knew everything we didn’t realize we needed to know - for example, the availability of local certified technicians that can service that appliance should you need it. Carl was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He really took the time to help us understand the appliance and NEVER pushed us. We are extremely excited about our purchase and can say with full certainty that we will never buy appliances anywhere else!!!

Atlantic Appliance comes through again. Dishwasher failed after 19 years (Atlantic Appliance purchase) and called Richard to inquire about a white model (hard to find). Richard located a fine Maytag (Whirlpool Corporation) that was purchased on a Friday afternoon. Installation has just been completed by Michael at 7:45 a.m. Saturday morning.This is phenomenal service and sales. We once again are pleased with our local Atlantic Appliance establishment. So when you think about appliance replacement, and are ready to go to a big box store, check with Atlantic Appliance first. Prices are nearly identical, models are available, and they will exceed your expectations (which for us are high). Thanks Guys!!! Atlantic Appliance did a great job for me. Didn’t need to go into a store. Their prices were better than Lowe’s and Home Depot. Placed the order over the phone. Kayleigh sent me websites to confirm the model I wanted and even provided other comparable ideas. They returned calls and were very flexible with delivery date and time. They made it easy and the install went great and on time.

Good selection available. Bought refrigerator, washer and dryer. Great prices, friendly service. Dealt with one of the owners and explained to him we wouldnt have a refrigerator in our new home until new one arrived. He is delivering us a loaner to use until new one arrives. Try to get that somewhere else.

The purchase of a new stove was one of the easiest experiences I have ever had! The sales woman was very nice and helpful; found exactly what I wanted, quickly. We wanted to upgrade our range from Electric to duel fuel and got great help from the sales/service staff at Atlantic appliance. It was good to see the high end selections and get measurements and see the actual back of units. We are now using our new range and appreciate the gas range and electric oven. I recently bought a refrigerator from Atlantic Appliance. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The salesman who sold it to me was extremely knowledgeable and was able to find exactly what I was looking for. The delivery guys were prompt, courteous, did a great set up job and were quick! Even the lady when I called to make payment was extremely nice to work with. I will be buying all my appliances here in the future.

I was looking for a small upright freezer with a temperature alarm for my garage. Went into one big box store to look at them. When I asked the guy if it had a digital temperature control & how cold could I set the temp he replied “well, it gets pretty cold.” Really? The freezer gets cold? Oh, ok, thanks. The 2nd place I went only had one in stock & no one available to answer my questions.So I tried Atlantic appliance. The sales person was very knowledgeable. He showed me exactly what I was looking for, answered all my questions, and completed my purchase in 15 minutes. Even got $100 off due to a scratch on the front.The delivery guys came exactly when they were scheduled, called ahead, hauled off my old freezer, and set up the new one quickly & efficiently. They were also very friendly.Skip the big box stores. Shop local. I actually got a better price here & none of the headaches.

My wife and I decided it was time for replacement of our 11 year old kitchen range. After shopping a few of the local box stores our search ended up at Atlantic appliance, as we are always looking to support local businesses. Our sale rep, Carl, showed us a number of options for our slide-in application. In the end we selected a Samsung Induction product that was loaded with features and very competitively priced. The product was in stock at Atlantic and delivery would be in 2 days. When the actual unit was pulled for delivery the folks at Atlantic noticed several cosmetic defects making it unsuitable for delivery. While we had to wait a few extra days for installation, we were delighted Atlantic did the right thing. Delivery and setup was super fast and the slide-in fit was perfect. And we are thrilled with our new induction range....the constant cook-top temperature, cool touch features and easy cleanup make this the perfect choice for us. Why would we ever need a gas range for cooking excellence!!!

Getting a new dishwasher was the most trying experience I have ever had buying and installing an appliance. It cost me time, money, and angst. The store needs to do a better job working with their clients to explain the installation process and not come between the buyer and the installer. The only reason I am even giving three stars, not one star, is that the store did a good job resolving the problem in the end.

The staff (from sales to delivery) were professional and knowledgeable. They helped up buy what we needed and within our budget. Buying local is nothing like a big box store- these folks depend on their reputation and quality. Atlantic Appliance is hands down the best place for appliances in Wilmington.

You can buy an appliance anywhere, but few places offer the customer service and support offered by Altantic Appliance.We purchased both small and major appliances from Atlantic. The pricing was fair and competitive. They offer a wide variety of appliances and manufacturers, so we never had a problem finding just what we wanted. The sales staff is extremely knowledgeable, but if they dont know something about the product you want, they find out for you, and quickly. Every question received an almost immediate response - either in person, by phone or email (my preference).They have stood behind every product we purchased 100%. I would never go elsewhere!
