(MUST READ - FRAUD) Big fraud and scam going on with this business.On Thursday, took my 2010 Toyota for inspection. First, the owner will inform you both pass and fail, you will have to pay. That’s your warning signal for you to run. So he listed the items which I needed to repair. I personally went to Autozone to buy the parts, took it to Toyota dealerships for repairs. Mind you, the owner told me I needed to fix my right rear brake, which I bought the parts for it. However, the Toyota dealership showed my the brakes, and told me I don’t need any repairs, that’s any signal showing you that M.A.T auto repairs don’t know what they are doing.On Friday, I called the shop informing that I got the parts and ready for repairs, he said they don’t open on Saturday, but for me he will come to the shop but on google it clearly says the shop opens on Saturday, that’s the third signal showing their fraudulent ways.On Saturday, came in to the shop on time, but the owner couldn’t check the brake, coming with all types of excuses; mind you, I have made payments. So I took my car to another shop, they checked everything, including the brakes that MAT auto repairs said it needed to be fixed, and my car passed inspection successfully.If you don’t want to be scammed, please I repeat don’t go here. I’m definitely involving the police and my attorney to get my money back.

Went here recently to update my inspection tags. They were very helpful in helping me sort out my paperwork to get everything done that day. During the inspection some brake issues were discovered which they were able to take care of that day as well. I have a foreign car so Im used to parts having to be ordered but MAT Auto had the parts and got everything done in the same day which saved me an extra trip. Great service and very friendly staff. I would recommend them highly!

I went here because I needed an inspection and my brake light popped up but quickly went off. I was told I needed new rotors and therefore new brakes. All of this would cost $338.Being a women, I know to call around. Car mechanics love to take advantage of women.I called the place down the street and since they gave me a cheaper quote, I took it in to them.Here, I didnt need rotors at all!! M.A.T. another auto repair shop giving car mechanics a bad name.Do not go here. Theres an honest place literally a few doors down. Same block.UPDATED note after seeing this businesses response: calling customers names is not good business and quite sad they need to resort to that.Although, just to humor this, Im not quite sure how I would be a liar when I said clearly in my statement above that he said I needed rotors, (which he admits below I told you your pads are ok but you are going to need rotors), when in fact, my rotors are fine. Brake pads too, as he mentioned.Him getting into price is invalid. Im not looking for cheap parts nor upset with his price. Its a fair price. I, personally, would go with the mechanic that has the same parts for a slightly lower price. Its called bargain shopping. My issue with this company is that they will tell you you need work done, when you do not.Business return gets you more money than one job, my friend. Also, proper customer service and not calling your customers names on Google, is also a good way to get better business.I stand firm, go down the street, neighbors. Its worth it for sure.

Took my car here because it is very close to where I live, and go to school. They worked very quickly - by the time I walked back to my house he called explaining what the issue was, and I picked up my car within 24 hours! Did pay a bit more than the initial estimate, but he called explaining they gave him an estimate for a wrong part. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

Quick, easy, honest and affordable! I always drop my car off in the morning, and in the early afternoon they call me, explain what is going on, and explain the cost. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Had brakes replaced by Mat Auto. The mechanic said I could bring my own parts. After the install, the brakes were grinding and squeaking. Without looking at the car, he said I would have to pay for the all new brakes and labor. They dont insure the work if parts are brought. I was not told this at the time. Good business practice would be to at least inspect the work they did to make sure the error was not on their part. Top it all off, at the time of the install they charged me an extra $40 dollars to inspect the brakes when I came for that service.

Mat was a very nice guy. However, he charges an arm and a leg for a diagnosis ($91 after tax). I went to another autoshop that does a diagnosis for free. Im kicking myself in the butt for going to Mat Auto Repair Center.

The only reason I would be hesitant to write a review is because I wouldnt want everyone to bring their cars here. Great service and great quality work. I moved out of the area 2 years ago and still drive 20min to bring my car here because this place is honest, accommodating, and always fairly priced.

I live in East Falls and will never bring my car anywhere else. Mat is very honest and does great work, always willing to take my car for whatever it needs. Highly recommend.

If there was an option to give no stars MATS Auto Repair Center would get no stars. The worst repair shop ever! Do not take your car to MATS Auto Repair Center. They will take your money and leave you without a car. The will give you one price and then when u leave your car they will call you with another price significantly higher for things you did not asked them to check. MATS Auto Repair Center gives Auto michanics a bad name.

Decent work, but it seems like the rates change depending on whos working that day. Had tire work performed on Tuesday. Went back on Friday to get the work done again for another set of wheels, and the price double.

These guys saved the day on an early Monday morning with two nails in my tire right before work. Super fast service and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Had a flat. Replaced the flat with the doughnut. Drove 1.5 miles to MAT. Asked if they could fix a flat. Young fellow said sure. I pulled the flat from the back of the wagon, he thought the nail was a little too close to the sidewall but took out the nail and plugged the hole. He found another nail, pulled it (1/2 long) and checked the hole, No problem. Young fellow mounted the tire, torqued the nuts, whole operation took 15 minutes. $10. Great service.

MAT is great to work with, honest and will do what is right.

The service could be just a little better, but they are always willing to take you in for an oil change, even if close to closing time. Never had any issues with them, always honest and will not recommend work that is not necessary for your car. A1!

This place is dishonest. I came in for an inspection and was charged to redo brakes and rotors because the mechanic saw rust on the rim of the rotor. He said if this was done he would pass my inspection. Went to another mechanic and he said that rust on the rim could be sanded off no big deal. Rotors met minimum thickness and wouldnt be a problem braking.

The mechanic here are ASE certified easy to talk to.
