That place never has anything anyone is looking for, and they need more people in there behind the registers because every time it’s someone’s turn in line they always take too long. and another thing I am tired of everyone’s attitude. i am being dead serious.

Items were organized with visible prices; but Very Slow checkout service. Everytime I have been, I have had to Wait for Someone to Come to the counter to checkout.

This was the last time I will ever go into this store. I will drive farther down the road to another Dollar General in Newport News where the people who work there might have been trained on customer service. Almost every time I go in I have to find someone to help me at the register. Often,I there in a long line waiting. Sometimes someone is behind the register doing something and doesnt acknowledge me. Today that happened and I put my stuff at the register with the light on and, when the employee finally acknowledged the customer, it was the person behind me and didnt even notice me. When I asked if there was another person to help me, she said someone was over there (pointing to another employee down the aisle). She said she didnt see me even though I was standing there at the registers with all of my items on the counter and she was behind it walking past me. That was really the last straw. It was hard to be a polite person after that and getting treated like a nuisance. I think a training on customer service would be beneficial. I have worked in customer service most of my life and Ive never been around such inadequacy. I can sympathize with the employees that they probably dont get treated very well by this company but, if you cant be pleasant to people, then dig ditches or something where you dont have to interact with them.

Great shop for the Grove area.

Its a normal Dollar General. A little cluttered. Half decent workers. The tall, older man was nice and helpful. They have everything you expect. Nice big parking lot.

Messy, dirty, rude employees. Only one person working at any time. Nothing gets restocked, just sits in the crates blocking items on the shelves.

It was wonderful and the assistant manager Amber Stewart, who helped us was very professional and deserves a raise for all her hard work!!!

This is a big dollar general. Items easy to find

Not as cheap as it portrait to be. Clean and better orginiced than others, atleas as per the review day. I did spend over $60.00 a (equivalent of)two day round groceries while in other stores I could have bought a weeks grocerie round.

I got a phone card that i couldnt use and the nice lady took it back gave me my money and told what i did wrong a lot of places give you a hard time when it comes to return things like phone cards

The store has a great variety of home decor but the employee Cashier was very rude. Great Big turn off!! Especially when being rude to my young 7 year old niece who has the absolute best manners of any child I know.. I understand she might be used to a bit of riff raff but when a kid says Mam I changed my mind Im going to get this instead because my aunt said I can get 3 things toys and the employee snatched the item an just chucked it to the side as she was huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf!! I kept my composure and still bought the items we had. Under these kind of circumstances I would have usually kindly told her to void everything an I would go elsewhere to spend my money since we were such a burden. Thus type of behavior does not set well with me!! I will be contacting corporate
