Want to give Alex and the team at maximum two thumbs up! Alex is a great service manager and always provides great customer service to me when I come in or have any questions and believe me I always ask questions and he is very patient with me. Very happy and pleased with Alex skills and knowledge as a service manager! Everyone at Maximum Outdoor Equipment is very helpful as well always ready to help and go that extra mile for there customers! I recommend these guys for any of your mower parts or service needs!
I talked with Carl about getting a weedeater for commercial use. He listened to what I had to say and took me to what he recommended. It was a great fit for my lawn care business. Great products and even better customer service.
Took a older mower in to get fixed, after a few days found out they dont make parts for it anymore. Called and said to pick it up, no charge even after trying several alternative options. Great service, knowledgeable staff and always treated with courtesy
Awesome customer service! These guys and gals are quick and if there not on the phone with customers there always on there feet taking care of there customers. I went in and was out with in 5 minutes, they even installed the new head on my weed eater.
Very knowledgeable staff, friendly and helpful. Had the parts I needed and not a bad price.
They were very very busy, could use more help. But they had what my dad needed!
Great new mowers to choose from which ended up choosing a grasshopper, and fantastic service for the one I brought in for repair.
Fast good service and had the part, I needed for my mower.
Very very nice people very very helpful I would recommend it to any of my family and friends
I got the parts I ordered faster than quoted.
Still waiting. Brought mower in 03/29/21. We seem to have a lot of communication problems. Im going to hope it improves. Wish I had written down the dates, time and name of each person that I had conversations with. As it is I have no way to prove my complaint.Kathy Mellard...Update 05/03/21. Mower is complete. Spoke with Alex. Very polite . My questions answered respectfully. I will change my rating of 2 stars to 4 stars. 4.5 stars not available and I will take half of the blame on miscommunications . Kathy Mellard
Good friendly service. Good selection of parts & new equipment. If they werent so far from us wed be there more. Keep up the good work
Very friendly and courteous. Parts people are very knowledgeable.
Customer service = negativeReturning for future business = negativeLikelyhood of them caring = negative
Excellent and proficient ... Great customer service. A little hard to access at the moment due to the construction but so worth it to be treated so well and taken care of here.!
I didnt have to wait very long in line and the employee was real helpful
Almost always have what I need. Highly recommend
These guys know how to do it and they take good care of us. Were in there a lot and the guys are always very helpful Noahs by company name anyway and Id always a good experience and they always seem to tell us something else while were there that we obviously need. Thanks from Choice Landscape.
Excellent customer service, always have what I need in stock. Very knowledgeable staff!
Cant give less than one, was charged for warranty sevrice, i belive they care about nothing but money.
They always have exactly what I need for my lawn mower, weed eater, chainsaw. If you stump them, they can order anything you need, and quick. Their service team is top notch. Very knowledgeable. They make you feel good about shopping there. Miles away from the Big Box cold shoulder those other stores give you.
Wonderful folks. Very Helpful!
Ask about policies before ordering and read fine print. Certain items are not returnable even if not used. This company definitely needs to correct there return policies. I also experienced horrible customer service when trying to return.
Completely geared towards commercial only they do not care about individuals needing repairs. They just want to sell you a brand new mower. If I now need Snapper parts or service at a fraction of your price I now go to the Rental Ranch.
Just walking in the store gives you an 85% chance of going home with the parts.
Didnt have what I was looking for but was still quite helpful. Directed me to where I did find the part I needed
Horrible service. Rude & inconsiderate service manager. Do not use their maintenance program. It took a month and it came back worse than I left it.
Had what I needed and Luke was very personable. Prices were reasonable as well. I will be back whenever I need anything for my Grasshopper.
Poor customer service. “Too swamped” to provide straight forward answer for when my mower would be available. I won’t return for service.
No only do they employ bait-and-switch offers and overcharge for the service, they’re arrogant and rudeI’ve started dealing with a smaller shop that is like dealing with a neighbor and a friend. They also are a FRACTION of the price with better results.Don’t say you weren’t warned!
They are my go to place for mower parts.
This store is one of the most helpful stores in Wichita. I am one to say that I am one satisfied customer. I enjoy the honesty of a sales rep.
SERVICE AND REPAIRS: Theyre not the cheapest nor the fastest due to how busy they keep but I wont take my lawn gear anywhere else, love the work and dependability of machines after they leave the shop. Anyone in the field knows this is the spot for professional lawn machine service and repair. Excellent integrity and have done business with maximum for a decade now.
They normally know what Im looking for, most likely have it and theyre straight forward. No piddling around and thats what I like with a business, plus its local.
Great place! Great people! They make it easy for me everytime!
Helpful people.
Timely service and fair labor cost.
I need something, they are there to help, even if it small things like putting the chain you buy on your saw, right on the counter, where else can you go and get that kind of service, diffently not Jims tire,, thanks guys
Very professional and educated employees
Nice small engine shop
Carl and the Maximum team helped select the right mowers for the right types of projects, their prices were very fair, and the follow up service was excellent. We had some issues due to our operation of one of the machines, and they helped us work through them over the course of several phone calls and even offered to bring out a replacement (knowing that we were under some tight timeframes). We would definitely recommend Maximum to folks who need to purchase or repair mowing equipment.
No problems. Very helpful people. I would also like to add that I would really recommend to anyone who needs service or parts at least give them a chance and call.
Carl made this super easy! Gave us great advice while staying in budget AND surpassing our needs. Would recommend to anyone in need of commercial or residential lawn equipment.
Went to get a pulley that came off my deck of my mower. Took the part . Also brought year and model of mower. Set the part on the counter. The person grabbed it. I told them I had the year and model. Said it wasnt needed.Got the part and was told I needed to take something off of old part and use. Drove back home. Did as I was told on old part. Took 20 minutes. They gave me wrong part. Wasted 20 minutes plus another trip from Haysville.I was very upset. Being a business owner, I avoid sales people who dont take the time to get right part. I let the sales person know this. They come over and said I was acting like an ass.Found out the parts manager was in on getting wrong part. I complained about them not checking on their computer for the part, I was still a little mad about it. Got the part. Said I wouldnt be back. He called me a jerk. Then he said customers are not always right. In this case he was wrong.
I have never been disappointed by the service here in either their parts or repair department. Today I had thr pleasure of being helped by Keith. He took the time to assist me in getting the right part I needed and then installed it for me. In addition he gave me practical advise to help me extend the life of my chainsaw. I would highly recommend this business for parts, service, and your lawncare equipment needs.
I have known and dealt with Maximum Outdoor Equipment for over 15 years. The parts department has a vast stock of parts for most any lawn mower or piece of outdoor equipment in service today, if by chance they dont they will usually have it with in 2 business days. The service department is knowledgeable as well as efficient, when they work on my mowers I know they have been fixed right. They always call with a quote of the required repairs and the cost involved as well as when to expect it to be done. Maximum is a family owned and operated business, with Midwestern values and ethics that stand beyond the sale.
Terrible staff. Violent and volatile. Repairs only the symptoms, not the problem.Update to response: Post the video of your funny guy doing exactly what the other 1 Star posters have to say about you and your establishment, (acting rudely). My receipt was in my pocket, neatly folded. My 3 year old son was with me as your staff member went into a rage. They also refused to help load my mower, even after the funny little guy you run, had offered to help. 3 month warranty? After it was winterized?...I am not known to mow the snow guys. Dirt was left in the tank after the previous carb install you had performed. Further, these guys on your payroll claim that dirt can enter the gas tank through the air filter... nice try. I could keep going, but why? The truth will prevail!..
Buyer beware....absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received from a so called professional shop. I got screwed for a $30 service charge on a Echo chainsaw I bought 10 days ago and they told me I had water in the gas which was a bold face lie, they don’t care at all about the customer after the sell because they will not refund your money on the product. I highly recommend that you go elsewhere to buy any kind out outdoor equipment this place is a joke.If your planning on buying a tool/outdoor equipment from this place please understand that they not return or warranty the tool as they will charge you a $30 service charge for warrantied items, that they will make up a lie and claim it was your fault. Your better off buying from A big box store.2.3 star rating is for a good reason and should be way lower.
Do not buy, order or have your equipment serviced here by PAUL (the owner maybe?), Keith, and Luke or anyone else from this company. They have no idea what they are doing and it will cost you your time and money GUARANTEED..
Great customer service! Highly recommend. They fixed my mower quicker than expected. Very impressed! Thank you!
Fixed a tire for our Craftsman tractor. Very affordable. Very busy but staff was efficient
Good service, nice people,fair prices
Got a great deal on a really great ZTR mower.
Its a good place to buy lawn mowers the lawn mower parts weed eaters lawn mowers work done overalls whatever you need but bands now is a businesss season they are real busy so might be a little bit before then get the chance to work anymore but they do work on them year round weed eaters best follow the years time to get your mowers all ready for the next spring can either one of the better ones in Wichita you have a great day
Very helpful staff. Im getting my 928D grasshopper mower serviced at the moment so I will update further once the service is completed.6/18/18; Im very pleased so far with the service my 02 928D grasshopper mower recently received. Its also a great place for technical help and a good place for mower parts.
VERY disconnected people. Not friendly, didnt call as they told me they would. They do have access to many parts for outdoor equipment, I found a better place later in my stay in witchita KS.
Nice outdoor equipment store. It is where I have my zero turn serviced when its having problems. Helpful staff.
Great service, knowledgeable, best small engine repair shop in Wichita, highly recommended, been a customer for over 20 years, the Witts are a class act and an asset to all landscape companies🇺🇸🇺🇸
Decent variety. Unpleasant staff.
My first visit was good. Got parts for my mower and the older gentleman had a great knowledge base. Second was good also. Same gentleman. 3rd trip young anus guy said I cant find what you need without a engine serial # I did have the mower model number and engine size and type. Simple 12.5 flat head b&s. He just sat there like I was bothering him for being there. He didnt bother to ask any of the 13 other people working there or try to look it up. Guy was a solid pile and lost me as their customer. He was a younger early 30s late 20s guy with a dumb look on his face.
These fine folks have the best prices on small engine and lawn equipment parts, bar none. You probably cant find a better price after hours looking online, and then you will pay shipping in addition. Truly amazing how they are able to do this well with their parts sales.
Great staff
I will never go back to this place i order a part here and it was the wrong one if you want the best service and price go to northern tools and equipment theyll treat you right and this is the second time this has happened to me and yes you did order me the wrong part you are nothing but a liar
The staff are all knowledgeable and helpful. Its the place I take my chain saw blades to get sharpened and they do a fantastic job and are very reasonably priced.
Great customer service. I will definitely buy from again. When my walker mower was in the shop getting worked on, they loaned me another one so I could take care of my customers. Thanks Carle and Alex!
Definitely over the top customer service. I was helped until I had exactly what I needed. Very knowledgeable staff, thank you so much!
Very helpful employees with a great attitude and a wide selection of parts with great service.
Very impressed with MOES! I worked with Steve, I told him I was looking for an aerator he worked with me and even brought a few for me to test at my shop. Paperwork was painless. Highly recommend.
They had the parts I needed to hopefully fix my mower and the prices are reasonable for a walk in and get your part today store.
Fast knowledgeable service. They helped me find the lawnmower part I needed, and sold it to me at a great price.
Always prompt, helpful and knowledgeable staff to get all our lawn care business equipment in top shape!
Just match up an air filter for a 1970 Sears&Robuck SS12 tractor lawn mower with a 55 inch deck.😁
They were very helpful and knowledgeable. They searched for and found everything I needed to locate the parts I needed.
Maximum Outdoor Equipment charged me $31 to tell me that it would cost me another $110 (for a total of $141) to replace the fuel line and carburetor on my weed eater. I said No. I took it to Petersons Small Engine Repair in Maize where they laughed and said, We dont charge to look at it. And how could they know that you need a new carburetor before they replace the fuel line?
Needed a key switch for sit down mower had it in stock even a key .was also looking for a wore for my push mower desk guy wanted to make sure it was correct one and said it was expencive good service great place
Beware of counter personnel wanting to charge you list price. Saved over 40 bucks online and did not have to deal with an arrogant millennial!2) Wow! I do try to buy local, why do you think you received this review? You have not addressed the elephant in the room. Some of your personnel do not have any customer service skills. TRAIN THEM! i purchased a pulley from you a month or so ago and paid $19.99 and now you wanted to charge me $29.99 and I would have to pay upfront for the 3 I needed, since you only had one in stock. The gentlemen who helped me was rude and disrespectful. That is why I purchased online!
I saw alot of bad reviews so I I thought id share mine. Walked in, dropped off a chainsaw for service, ordered a muffler, had a nice chat and walked out. Im really not too sure why there are so many negative reviews, the place was perfectly clean and the guys seemed to want to help out as much as they can. Cant say a bad thing about them.
When your mower has a problem or needs service, simply pass their South West street location and go elsewhere. Took my mower to them as it had a carburetor flooding problem. Left it with them and even indicated that the carburetors needle and seat was most likely the culprit ( I have some experience with gas engines). They told me that I would receive a call within 2 days, to provide an estimate on repairs. 8 days later I finally get a call saying the cost was around $200.00 .I gave the go ahead to make the repairs, and got my mower back 3 days later. Motor was cleaned and I got a small bag of replaced parts( 2 small hose clamps, one small $2.00 fuel filter, an air filter, an oil change, and what was itemized as a carburetor rebuild). Brought the mower home and noticed the same black smoke emanating from the exhaust. The mower ran another 10 mins. and died from a rich fuel mixture. I have come to the conclusion that this service department, cleaned the engine, changed the oil and air filter, replaced a fuel filter, and screwed me out of $200.00. Will never set foot in the place again...!
Everybody is always friendly and very helpful. If they dont have what you need they will help find where to get what you need
Maximum has always treated me fair and have always had very great service. My equipment has always been fixed in a timely manner and fixed right. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to do business with them.
I dealt with the parts department manager. I guess I expected better customer service skills... while disputing a false charge on my visa card, I was told by him that he deals with guys like me all the time, and I was just trying to screw them over, and when I tried to respond, he hung up on me. For a moment, I thought I should expect better...but then again this guy is just a stressed out small engine shop counter man. And so I shrugged it off and contacted my Visa card customer service dept, and received full credit for my false charge. Not sure about sales or service, but the parts dept is a joke. If I could rate them with less than 1 star I would have. Buyer be ware.
They were honest and repaired my weed/ lawn trimmer within 48 hours. Im happy with their service.
Great service
There the best
Good service, great place to get any part you need for outdoor power equipment.
Didnt have what I needed
This is a great company with great customer service and a great inventory to choose from. They know their mowers (and everything they sell) inside and out. Any part you need they have it! Highly recommended.
Thank You Maximum and your staff for getting my equipment serviced in the time frame that was promised. Good and Honest service seems to be getting harder and harder to find. Please pass on my gratitude to the entire staff. As long as I have equipment that needs serviced, Ill keep bringing it to Maximum Outdoor!
I wish I could give a massive negative star rating. These guys are probably the worse, most shady, crooked, greedy, money hungry people I have ever had to deal with. I took my mower in to them for repair. Granted it is an older mower (2003 Dixon ZTR), but I was having issues with it driving straight. Called and they said all it needed was an adjustment and should be no more than $40.00. Sounds great, I thought. They call not even a couple hours later telling me its going to be $1200.00 in labor and they cant even get parts for it anymore. So I ended up paying the $40, even though I suspect they didnt put a single tool on it. At this point I think I am hosed, until I find a private guy on craigslist that agreed to look at it after I told him this story of rubbish. He tells me that parts for this mower are not only real easy to find, but also VERY inexpensive. Within 20 minutes this guy had my mower driving straight, and running better than it did before. All for $20.00. Maximum Outdoor is going to try and take as much money from you without providing you any kind of service. They are out for their wallets, not the customer. They have horrific customer service and I would recommend NEVER using them for anything; whether its servicing a mower or buying a $20k mower. Go somewhere else, where youll be treated like a customer instead of a walking dollar bill.
Special ordered parts for my lawn equipment. Prepaid and was told they would call me when they came in on Wednesday. No call so I called them on Thursday and was told my parts were in but one item was backorder so they didnt call.
I have been a customer for decades, they always go above and beyond. Very knowledgeable and helpful, every time.
Was alright
Always friendly service and 99% of the time have the parts I need for my 618 Grasshopper. I have done all my own work on my mower but always have had good service and good advice.Thank you Carl!Rich Hutfles
Maximum Outdoor has always treated me right! Great service and staff that really know what they are talking about. Straight answers and helpful people.
Great place to get parts for your lawn care equipment. Prices are good, but they add up....
Very knowledgeable about lawnmower parts.
I love this place. Always has the parts I need.
Very poor service and will not back there products up. In a husqvarna fan but. Dann they make want to buy a stihl. And no its not products its the service and the lies they tell you. And buying parts that you dont get. Is what eats at me
After years of occasionally using maximum with no issues whatsoever, I buy a starter for a riding lawn mower last Saturday and was not told beforehand that there was no returns on electrical items. Turns out I had a bad battery and not a starter issue and when I tried to return the starter, they informed me there was no returns. That I can deal with, but the rude employees behind the counter telling me that it was standard across all automotive and industrial shops not to take back electrical parts, when I have taken back electrical items, starters and alternators in particular, with no issues at more than one place, then it is not a standard practice across the industry. Yes, I got upset, because I should have been told beforehand about the non return policy as compared to it being written on the back of the invoice after I paid the money and was unable to return it. Did I get a little mouthy, probably, because of the belligerent non helpful attitude of the two people behind the counter. As I walked out the door the guy wish me a good day and something along the lines of seeing me soon. I told him probably not and as I walked out the door a gentleman was walking in with a battery and I looked at him and said be careful they dont rake Returns on electric items, and the jerk that was very unhelpful stepped out the door yelling at me that I was now trespassing and get the hell out of there. Great customer service folks!
One of the counter help guys (sorry, cant remember the name) gave me great instructions on how to install a new blade on my Husq. edger over the phone today 3.22.18
