Ive worked here for almost a week now. So far Ive experienced the best bosses a man could ask for. As for other drivers being rude and such, I wouldnt know, but when Im delivering customers will be treated with respect and ice will be rotated, and the bags will not be placed or thrown on the cement, but as everyone knows bags of ice can sometimes get dirty. Other than that respect for customers and any civilians we encounter is a priority. They take customer relations very serious. All business is appreciated and I appreciate this place for hiring me and giving me a chance to be successful with this company. Thank you Arctic Glacier. Robert Carter... By the way all the water used to make our ice is filtered over three times. We are the largest ice producer and provider in North America. I didnt realize just how contaminated my homemade ice from my fridge could be with things like chlorine and other chemicals used to keep our drinking water clean. So yes buying ice is definitely a nice treat on a hot day . Go Arctic Glacier
From personal experience with my husband working for this company we have been fairly treated and well respected. The bosses are honest men, kind and give their employees the appreciation they deserve for their hard work. My husband loves his job and said the work environment is a family like setting. We give this company 5 starts on work ethic and morale. So glad to be apart of this company, and so glad to be apart of a company that values their workers as much as they do the quality of their work.
Ok, this is the second attempt to post a comment, defending the company I work for and provide for my family under. All these comments that blame the drivers for the routes and the deliveries.....that is totally wrong! It is not the drivers faults. However their attitudes and politeness are, yes. But, what it seems to be, is alot of disgruntled people at the drivers for their deliveries. I am a driver for Arctic Glacier and it is not the drivers fault if a store doesnt get a delivery, all of that comes from up more higher than the driver. We do what we are able to do, just like most businesss, we can not do what we are not able to nor allowed to. We do our best, but as it seems there is always those that arent pleased because you feel you need to be treated better than the other 500 people that are needing the same thing.
We live in Benton, Kansas.. We have two stores that your company supplies ice too, both Kwik-shop and Dollar General have been without ice for three weeks, count them three weeks!! That means all of us that purchase Ice, have to drive 20 miles to either El Dorado, Andover or Wichita to buy Ice, we were unable to purchase your product over Thanksgiving or any other time for the last three weeks! I live in the country and buy eight sacks at a time, so it would be nice if you would tell your driver to start delivering Ice to our community again...ASAP!!
Scheduled deliveries are rarely made as scheduled. Drivers are sometimes rude, sometimes great. I was shocked recently when the 2 delivery men thought it was sanitary to throw bales of ice out of the truck to the sidewalk then load in the freezer, instead of using the equipment provided to transport and load ice. Customers were complaining and I called to report this to a supervisor, and have yet to actually hear from a supervisor. If there was another ice company to purchase from in my area, I would switch in a heartbeat!
Truck routes change monthly, so you never know when the delivery is going to get delivered. Call center is a joke. Was called on Tuesday, which was supposed to be the delivery day. Said truck would be here on Wednesday. No truck. Called the 800 again...was told Thursday or Friday. No truck on Thursday. Called Friday morning, was told was my store was not on the delivery route for today! Seriously???
Called on a Friday for an asap delivery, still hasnt shown up. Call their center and wait for 15 minutes to talk to someone. I would take my business elsewhere but they are all one company.
Terrible service. Ice comes out of KC to service the Wichita area. Sounds inefficient. Never here when they say they will be.
Fast loading, but very tight, the company have just 1 dock behind the building
The 1 star is to get your attention to the fact that Arctic Glacier need to inform their employees that smoking at GAS stations that you are servicing is dangerous!
Driver that services Haven is rude as hell to the public this is the second time I have encountered this guy and both times he was rude as hell I said Hello tonight to the guys face and he just stared at me and said nothing also when I have watched them stock the cooler both times they did not rotate the ice just threw all the new bags in on top of the old ones I can only imagine how hard and disgusting the ice on the bottom of the cooler is maybe a call to the health department is in order
I like their Ice !
